Just a few questions: Why do you use an inverted wing back on defend on the right and not like the left? The overloap on each side, it's for the inverted wing back or the cma's ? Great post by the way.

Yeah. I'm still on fm22. This is why i was interested. And when in a sentence, there's Cruyff, Football manager... We are always interested. You talked about balance attributes, but what you're searching for?

So frankly, i tried for four matchs with an average team with some players, surely, don't have qualities for some roles. And the results are excellent with four wins. I have possession but not too sterile, and if i can't have it, the team can product good football with interestings movements. Maybe later, the team will suffer, but i find the way it plays coherent. Great effort.

Do you need to adapt some roles or some team instructions when you're leading or when you're losing ?

On each side two wingers, two mezzalas and for the forward maybe a false nine. Or two inside forward behind two wingback with overload the flanks. Or a winger on his side a mezzala, behind them a inverted wingback. The other flank, an inverted winger, a deep lying playmaker on support behind, a wing back. It's just theory of course.

I'm on holidays. But i want to thank you. I'm using the 433 with the Cma with just lower line of engagement, counter and play into space. Just this and it's work like a charm. I needed to thank you. Hope you will continue this thread.

Thanks. I'm a fan of this thread too. But what i try to achieve is to built a preset style in terms of roles but also in team instructions.

I need some help. I'm lost. I want a create a tactic based on Ajax 433 philosophy. But i don't know what to do. I know there's plenty tactic on possession or for winning or whatever. I would like to build this tactic like the preset tactics. Not recreate a season especially but more in terms "philosophy" and keep things that aren't negotiable. (Some people will say shorter passing and higher tempo, others much shorter passing and standard tempo, higher line...) This is my big problem. Maybe preset control possession or Tiki taka is good enough but i'm not sure. This is why i need consolidate my thoughts about the team instructions and the players roles. Thank you.

I know i don't answer your question... But did you try to change some duties ? -Wing-back right on attack behind your Inverted-winger. -Wing-back left, still on support but behind your Inside-forward on attack. Much shorter passing is good but i'm starting to think that just shorter passing is efficient to keep the ball and accelerate when there's an opportunity. I don't understand the Pressing-forward. A False nine or a Deep lying forward on support will be a better choice to participate on the build up and to create space for the Inside forward. Maybe a Center Midfield on attack or an Advance playmaker on attack will be a danger too.

Your 442 was great. I played on fm19 a lot with it. Behind theory, find this logical, simple and coherent.
