This makes no sense to me at all. I know that hidden attributes are also important and all that. but, if the defender is defensively bad, like your CB, with 12 tackling and 12 marking, then he is.. bad defender.. He is overall bad player, with only jumping as his strength. Makes no sense that bad defender produces such good defensive performances and even wins best defender award. This is why we need dynamic potential. If he is constantly improving, getting better and better, he can't be stuck with 12 tackling and marking. If he won Serie A defender of the year in reality SI would increase those two attributes for him to at least 15, but this way he is probably stuck to 12 for the rest of the career. He could win best defender of the World Cup and Champions League for example and still be on 12 because of the fixed potential, which makes no sense.

That is the biggest issue with current player development system. Even at the age of 16 for example you can already know if player will grow into good player or not. Your problem is low determination, and my problem is low PA. After a couple of saves I can learn which players have high PA and then at the very start of the player career, if I know that player has no big PA I already know there is no point of giving him playing time because PA will not change and he is doomed to be bad player from very young age. That is the big issue with fixed Potential Ability. Even the bigger issue is that the people are satisfied with this primitive development system and fixed PA. Similar to what you have, with determination so low, you already know at 16 year of age is it questionable if he will become a good player. ( even I read somewhere that ambition, PA, and professionalism are more important than determination )

This has to be the strangest thing I have ever read on these forums. Tens of millions of Steam users and you think.. It does not matter, anyway - You can invest a bit in your PC if you want to play FM in the future without Steam looking at your Facebook selfies. Buy another Hard Drive. On that Hard Drive install some Windows for dual-boot with your main Windows ( or detach main hard drive completely when playing FM ). Instead of Windows you can also install Ubuntu for example, if it is possible to play FM on linux. And on that Windows/Ubuntu install only Steam, don't log-in to social media, don't use browsers or anything else, use it just for FM.
