  1. England have carried this Euros so will be nice for them to make it into the final. Since the opening matchdays, everything has been about England, Europe might not like us, and we get it, no one likes the big boys, but they sure to hell love talking about us. Without England interest in this tournament would have waned ages ago. Lets face it, it hasnt exactly been a great tournament, not since the opening week anyway. Aside from that 1st game week, and the sideshow that was the rise of the minnows, the only thing interesting about the Euros has been England and how Southgate is reinventing what it means to win international football matches. For the sake of the tournament England need to get through, because let's face it, who wants to watch the yawnfest that would be Netherlands vs Spain?
  2. The problem with asking him to stay up the pitch is that he's not a great target person, that's not his strength. The amount of times he just ducks out of the way rather than contest a header is so frustrating. I'd happily see Toney or Watkins start in his place, it would fix so many issues in that final third, but he is England's captain and therefore no chance of him being dropped. Those days of the train line at set pieces in 2018 seem like a distant memory now, remember how dangerous he was back then?
  3. Harry Kane invented the false 6 position. Absolute trendsetter.
  4. Mediocrity compared to what? Certainly not history, because 3 semis in 4 years is unprecedented and way beyond any sort of mediocrity. Remember Southgate has given you that right to feel complacent and expect to win these tournaments. Nothing that came before allows you to think that way. Submit to his greatness.
  5. Haven't seen much praise for Konsa. For someone coming in for his 3rd cap (?), starting a quarter final up against a flying Swiss team he held his ground and made some goal saving interceptions. Seemed to make decisions on the ball and passed quicker than Guehi too. Also, I've been really critical of Stones but thought he was much much better yesterday. Especially in that first half where he brought the ball forward and was camped beyond the half way line, rather than his own box. Would love him to bring the ball forward like he does at City more, but that was better from him. Everything starts from him, so he needed that performance.
  6. Haha you people still think you know something Gareth doesn't Don't you get it? Can't you see it by now? You absolute fools. He's operating on a different plain from the the rest of us. Whatever we thought football was about before, it means nothing now. He's 10 steps ahead, he's like a multiversal overlord who's seen every combination, every outcome and knows exactly how we're winning this. He's the most relaxed, confident person there is, because he knows. Stop questioning it and just submit to his greatness, you'll feel much better for it
  7. Dawn right we should. He's the greatest leader we've produced since Churchill.
  8. I'd rather France on the final, because I fear we'd get absolutely spanked by Spain. Like Germany vs Brazil spanked.
  9. Ok, Southgate is an absolute genius. I submit to his greatness. Will never doubt him again. He's a multiversal rock star. He knows everything, we know nothing. He's 5 steps ahead of all of us. It's his world, we're just his gimps.
  10. He's such a passenger. Will never go off, but he's a huge problem. Would love Watkins on to run the channels.
  11. We need to keep this shape, and continue playing in their half in the second half. Need to pass it quicker, and be a little less risk adverse. But this is better. I blooming well hope we don't retreat ik the 2nd and play for ET.
  12. Don't think we're favourites, Switzerland are the in form team and we're reworking a "system" that's been 2 years in the making. Yeaaaaa I'm nervous. Also feel like the 3 at the back will become a 5 and we're going to look even more narrow than before, which is going to be even more hellish to watch.
  13. Don't think Trippier over Trent is a huge issue myself. Their creative output from the right is about the same, as is their delivery from set pieces. Trippier probably more disciplined defensively. Love Trent, but don't see how that's a "omg Southgate" decision...if it happens. I'm looking forward to seeing Foden, Bellingham and Kane actually passing the ball to each other. Don't think Foden found Jude or Kane once in the last match
  14. Any news on Trippier? Looked like a bad one, but haven't read anything about whether or not he'll be available on Saturday.
