  1. August 2036 What a month! We're the only undefeated team left in the Croatian First League, and we exceeded my expectations in the Europa League, qualifying for the league phase! We're facing some huge teams, especially Feyenoord, Villarreal, Red Star Belgrade and last year's Conference League finalists Cukaricki. I'm not sure how we'll go here, but keeping the scores respectable would be awesome.
  2. July 2036 We have two of our first team guys away at the Olympics, including our goalkeeper, and his replacement has a lower keeper rating than one of our outfield players despite being a keeper Despite this, we opened our campaign with a win over the defending champions Hajduk followed by a draw at Osijek. We were disappointing against Derry when we went there, but we quickly put them to the sword in Croatia, with 4 goals and a red card within the first 20 minutes. We face a much sterner test in the next round against Kobenhavn though.
  3. 2036 Preseason We use our new found transfer money to bring in some players, including a Paraguayan, Colombian, Angolan and an Austrian on an amateur contract, as well as two Croats. Full-Back Wing-Back Segundo Volante Winger False Nine Advanced Forward Just the one friendly, a win over a team in the division below. We've jumped up the predictions, as we welcome 2 new teams into the top division. EURO 2036 I tell you what, there were some absolute groups of death in this edition. Reigning European champions and 2030 World champions Holland are eliminated in the group stage, losing out to Switzerland and hosts Germany. Elsewhere, Romania won their group over Spain in a group that also included Armenia, Portugal needed a but of luck to qualify after finishing behind France and Norway, Bulgaria won their group over Croatia and Belgium, whilst England won their very former Yugoslav group and Northern Ireland join Italy and Denmark into the knockouts at Austria's expense. Could we be seeing the turning point in strong European teams? Round of 16 Germany and Spain were both pushed but ultimately successful, Portugal knock Italy out, and Bulgaria reach the quarter finals in an unlikely occurrence. Quarter Finals Two thrashings here, as Bulgaria and Spain are dumped unceremoniously out of the tournament, and Croatia experience elimination on penalties. We go from a set of interesting results that suggested change in the group stage to four of the usual European superpowers. Maybe in 2040. Semi Finals France posts their second 3-0 win over a big team, immediately putting themselves as favourites, even though Portugal defeated Germany in the 2034 World Cup final rematch. Portugal are the current European finalists though, so their strength cannot be underestimated. Final It's shades of 2016 all over again, as Portugal lift their second Euro, going one better than they did last time!
  4. We finish the season strongly, and have a 3rd place to show for it. I don't expect Dinamo do be down and out for long, they're just too strong. But hopefully we're here to stay near the top of the Croatian leagues for the foreseeable future. Best XI Noah Vincenti - Jarmo Tomson - Luka Marković Record Breakers Award Winners A great season from Vincenti, a find from the Serie C in Italy, who went and performed above and beyond in Croatia and elsewhere this season. Progress
  5. April 2036 We lose to Koln in extra time, a fantastic effort, and we have a real shot at finishing 3rd in the league as we enter the last 4 games.
  6. March 2036 Hajduk all but end our hopes of an unlikely title run, but we still have a shot at cracking the top 3. We shock Casa Pia in the round of 16, and now we've met our end (surely) in the quarter finals. It's a very Balkan dominated last 8, with half the teams from Croatia and Serbia.
  7. 2036 Youth Intake Nikodin Jovanovic 4A - Ivica Milicevic 4B - Di Mateo Brnas 4C Not a great intake. We need to use our new found cash to upgrade our facilities, and fast.
  8. February 2036 We beat Hajduk for the first time after a dominant display by Vincenti, but Rijeka have emerged as surprise leaders in the league, no doubt helped by their victory over us. We're slowly falling behind, but this title battle will be fun to watch. After defeating the Bosnians across two legs we now play Casa Pia, who topped the league phase of the Conference League. This will probably be the end of the line for us, but hopefully the other two Croatian sides can make something happen.
  9. January 2036 Our Colombian reserve strikers go back home, freeing up our foreign player slots and allowing some home grown players to get a taste of first team action. It's really close in the league, and even Dinamo and Hajduk haven't been able to get away.
  10. December 2035 We beat Dinamo again, this time in Zagreb! We'll also be in a great position if we win our games in hand, and our exploits in the Conference League earn us a chance to playoff for a spot in the knockouts.
  11. November 2035 Not a great month domestically, but a win and draw in the Conference League puts us in the top 24, which is where we need to be to qualify for the playoffs.
  12. October 2035 Slaven Belupo thrash our second team, knocking us out of the cup, we lose our opening Conference League games, but we go 3 for 3 in the league as Noah Vincenti goes on a scoring spree.
  13. September 2035 A massive development here, as Grujicic gets noticed by City and the board went over my head when they offered 5m. That's fine, because we get him back on loan for the rest of the season. But his sale will be paying for players well into the future. We beat Dinamo! We then lost to Osijek though, which means consistency is still an issue.
  14. August 2035 An action packed month, highlighted by a 9-0 flogging of Montenegrin side Berane. I don't know how they even qualified, they were relegated from the top division last season and they didn't do anything in the cup. That's okay though, we'll take those wins when we can get them. We get a few teams that we could push here, but Koln, Brondby, Cherno more and probably Klagenfurt will be too strong for us.
  15. July 2035 A win and a loss to start our league campaign, and we have a job to do when we go to Turkey for our Conference League qualifier.
  16. 2035 Preseason A small recruitment drive again, but the quality we've brought in is excellent. Sweeper Keeper Central Defender Winger Wide Playmaker Advanced Forward We play a few more friendlies this time, and we did pretty well. Still predicted last though!
  17. We benefited from an easyish run home, and we're in Europe next season! It really is a two horse race at this point though. Best XI Luka Marković - Raúl Muñoz - Jarmo Tomson Record Breakers Award Winners Progress
  18. April 2035 A tough month, but an away win against Osijek gives us a small gap to Rijeka and the chasing pack. We also don't have to play Dinamo or Hajduk again this season, which puts our odds of qualification slightly higher.
  19. 2035 Youth Intake Andjelko Vušković 3A - Svetko Livaja 3B* - Reno Domančić 3C* It's a decent looking intake in terms of potential, with two of the top three having excellent personalities, and even the Fairly Ambitious isn't bad.
  20. February 2035 We bounce back well in February, with a win over Rijeka and an away draw against Rudes while keeping it close with Dinamo. It's still anyone's game for a European spot from 4th to 8th, with just 4 points separating everyone.
  21. January 2035 Lugano buy our young and Croatian starting right winger, but we are able to get him back on loan for the rest of the season. We don't get off to a good start following the winter break, but we're still in with a shot at European places.
  22. December 2035 We end the year with an unbeaten month and a temporary place in a Conference League spot. Will we stay there? I highly doubt it
  23. November 2034 Multiple 6-1 drubbings brings us further back to earth, but a good win over Rudes keeps us out of the playoff spot for now.
