  1. Ungmennafélag Selfoss Season review Season 3 | 2026 Besta deildin Transfers | Affiliates | Facilities | Finances | Manager Profile | Club overview Another great season! Not as good as last season, when we won the Quadruple, but we won the Super Cup and the League. So for the second consecutive time we are the best team on Iceland. Fantastic! But this season was memorable in more ways, because we just became a Professional club! We are now the second club on Iceland who are Pro. Breidablik is the other team. It was just after the season was finished, so I'm currently hiring lots of new staff members. And I can tell you that this is a HUGE step forward! We can now hire lots of good coaches, and way better HoYD for example. So my staff will be brand new next season. The reason why we could become a Pro-club, is because we are through to the Group Phase of the Conference League!! We started our European adventure in the First Qual. Round of the Champions League. We won both matches against Astana. In the 2nd Qual. Round we met Sheriff Tiraspol. We lost the away match(3-2), but we won our home match with 3-1! So another CL round for us! Here we met Dinamo Zagreb, and they were too strong for us. We drew 1-1 at home, and lost the away match: 3-1. So our CL run was over, but we qualified for the Europa League Playoff. We met Shamrock Rovers, but they were stronger then I expected. We lost our home match: 2-5. And although we won the away match (2-3), we failed to qualify for the Europa League Groups Phase. But we did qualify for the Conference League Group Phase! So we directly got € 2,9M. And with this extra money, we had enough on our bank to get a Pro-status. I'll talk about our European matches in the Conference League in my next post, as the Icelandic season is over now. Some players I want to highlight: Jón Vignir Pétursson: our leader on the midfield. Very important for us. Bjarni M. Benonýsson 26d: A youngster from Class 2026. I decided to put some of the most talented youngsters in my first team, and he's one of them. With 19 goals and 12 assists he had a fantastic debut season, and he was our Most Valuable Player. Ólafur H. Pálmarsson 26f: another young player who played in almost every match. With 18 goals and 5 assists he can look back on a fantastic debut season! Roel Bouius 26h: last but not least our talented Dutch young defender. He played in a lot of matches, and he is developing nicely. And what I also really like: his surname, Bouius, is very common in the region were I live(the Northern part of the Netherlands). So I checked his birthplace, and it's a very small place(Hilaard) just 9km away from my howntown(Leeuwarden). Youth intake Another fan-tas-tic intake! The preview was a very good one, and the intake gave us lots of Elite Talents. And some of them are really talented! I can't wait to develop them, especially because of our Pro-status and so better training schedules. I'm mostly excited by Van Kasteren 27f, an Icelandic guy with a Dutch surname. I really like his profile; I'll retrain him into a midfielder. Can't wait to see how he will develop! Upgrades Not upgrades on our Training- and Youth Facilities yet, as I waited for our Pro-status. So hopefully we can start building on our Youth- and Training facilities soon. We did upgrade our Junior Coaching budget and Youth Recruitment, so both are now maxed out. Also no new updates on our new stadium. Hopefully we hear something about this soon! Progress
  2. Ungmennafélag Selfoss Season review Season 2 | 2026 Besta deildin Transfers | Affiliates | Facilities | Finances | Manager Profile | Club overview What. A. Season! Incredible. I don’t have any other words for it. This save is one of those rare ones that when you start the save, you immidiately feel that it’s a good one. That it’s a good match. Everything just clicks together! That’s the case with this save. I feel so at home at Selfoss. The club, the kit colours, the squad. The squad is one of the main reasons why it’s such a good save. I didn’t really checked the players before I started the save. I only saw that it was a large squad, but I didn’t check the players. But the overall quality is high, for Icelandic levels. Quite a young team, almost every player at the club is homegrown, so a lot of academy players. So that’s very helpfull with the registration-rules in Iceland, as you need a minimum of 8 players trained by the club. I’ve got at least 15 players who are trained by the club. So yeah, that’s very, very useful. And like I said, the overall quality of the players is really good. Most of them are in the age of 19-23, so a lot of room to grow. And they really fit into my 4-3-3 tactic. Having said that, let’s talk about the season. It’s my second season at Selfoss, and the first season for us at the highest level on Iceland. And we won EVERYTHING! Well, not a European cup ofcourse, but we won every single price on Iceland. So a Quadruple!! We won the Super Cup, the League Cup, the Cup and the League. Un-be-lievable! And that in just our second(!!) season! I can’t remember a save that started this good. Like I said in the beginning of this post: everything clicks together! I love it Europe So next season we will play Champions League. Talking about European football; we had quite a good run in Europe this season as well. We won against Aris in the Conference League Second Q. Round. In the Third Q. Round we won against Ilves. But in the Fourth Q. Round we found our Waterloo against Slavia Praha. So we won our first European matches this season! And the money was, again, very, very welcome!! We now got almost €2,5M positive balance, so I hope that our board is willing to become a professional club. They recently rejected my suggestion to do so. But I’ll keep the money on the bank and I’m not using it for upgrading the facilities. I first want to become a professional club. Youth intake The preview looked promising, and the intake didn't dissapoint! Lots of nice talents in this intake, a real golden intake. I think that a lot of them will develop into first team players for us. And we even got a Dutch player, and an Italian player! Upgrades We were able to upgrade our Junior Coaching and Youth Recruitment once. No upgrades on our other facilities yet. But at the end of the season, our board came with the news that they want to build a new stadium! We are now renting a stadium, but they want to build a stadium in our home town Arborg. When I check the Facilities-page, the planned capacity will be 8715 seats. If that will continue, it'll be the biggest club stadium on Iceland! Progress
  3. Ungmennafélag Selfoss Season review Season 1 | 2025 Lengju deildin (2nd Tier) Transfers | Affiliates | Facilities | Finances | Manager Profile | Club overview What a fantastic first season! We won 20 out of 22 matches, and lost the other two. The 60 points we got is a new league record. Also the 75 goals we scored is a new record. And to make it even nicer: we won the Icelandic Cup!! We won 5-0(!!) against KR. So we will play European football again next season! Such a great season In pre-season we played the League Cup, were we lost in the semi-finals. And we also figured in the Super Cup, a match that we lost against Vikingur R. We also made our debut in Europe. And that in my first season at the club. As I wrote in my previous post; Selfoss won the Cup last season as well, in the 'holiday season'. So we played in the Europa Conference League Second Qual. Round against Zrinjski. With a 2-2 at home and a 2-3 loss away we didn't qualify for the next round. But the money we earned is very, very welcome! A big thank you to some of our star players: topscorer Albert Hatilov, MVP Gonzalo Zamorano, forward Valdimar Jóhannsson, midfielders Jón Vignir Pétursson and Guðmundur Tyrfingsson and our scoring GK Stefán Þ.S. Ágústsson(he's taking Free Kicks and penalties, and scored 12 goals!). Youth intake Our first youth intake. The preview was mwah. The actual intake was okay. No Elite Talents, but 5 Good talents. Let's hope that some of them will develop into good players for us. Upgrades We were able to upgrade our junior coaching budget and youth recruitment both once, after we got the European money. And last but not least: at the end of the season the (new) board was willing to create a U19 team. So we don't need our U19 affiliate team anymore, we now have our own U19 team. We also move into a new stadium, as our current stadium didn't meet the requirements needed for the highest league. Progress
  4. To win a league match, against a relegated team from the highest division with some good players this easy... I can't remember that I had so many shots, and such a high xG, in a league match before!
  5. Thanks, @Neo_Geo! Your decision to join Vikingur O. triggered me to also start a save on Iceland. So yeah, thanks for that Ah, nice that you make kits for all of the clubs! I use a (2D) kitpack from FM Slovakia, for the playable divisions. So I have 2D kits for the bigger clubs. But for the lower league clubs, I haven't got any kits. But I can't really bother about that, as you won't play that often against lower league clubs. But I do miss 3D kits. I always make my own 2D and 3D kits for the clubs I'm managing. But I don't have a 3D kitpack for Icelandic clubs. So yeah, maybe I'll do the same as you. But I'll first want to play a couple of seasons, to see if I stick to this save.
  6. Ungmennafélag Selfoss Time for a new challenge. I went back to my Danish save with BK Skjold, but I really disliked the contract-thing. Some of my youngsters, who were on a semi-pro contract, got poached by bigger clubs for free. And although I could give them bigger contracts, but I'm not willing to give all my youngsters a big contract, just to avoid that they are leaving the club for free. That would have cost me a lot of money. So I decided to try a new save on Iceland. A country I love to manage in. My favorite club, ÍR, is not available for the Youth Only Challenge anymore, as they are playing in the second division(1. Deild) from season 2024. So I holidayed season 2024 until december 2024, and chose UMF Selfoss as my club! A club with nice club colours. And quite a large squad (32 players), so that's very welcome. There is one arranged transfer, as you can see on the screenshot. So I'm allowed to play with him, if I need him. And to my big surprise I saw that Selfoss qualified for the Europa Conference League They won the Cup last season, and so qualified for the Conference League. That's for the very first time that I start a Youth Only save, and play European football from the start!
  7. Boldklubben Skjold Season review Season 3 | 2026-2027 2. Division (3th Tier) Transfers | Affiliates | Facilities | Finances | Manager Profile | Club overview Back in Denmark, back at BK Skjold! As I said in a previous post, I didn't enjoy my Raca Bratislava-save anymore. So I decided to go back to Denmark for the time being. I'm still not sure for how long, but I like it for now! I also switched back to the Rensie-skin, just to have a different feel for the game. It's my third season at the club, and we are in the 3rd Tier. And the season went surprisingly well! We qualified for the Champions Group, and played some good matches in there. We finished 5th with 46 points, 9 points behind a promotion spot. Promotion to the 2nd Tier would be way too soon, so I'm very happy with this 5th place. Some of our youngsters are developing nicely. Ayman Abdullah 26b came into the team in the Winter break. And Tommy Toft Kristiansen 25h is now a first team player as well, scoring 8 goals in his first full season. Oh, and a big thank you to our topscorer David Müller, who scored 29 goals in 30 matches. In the Cup we lost in the 3rd Round against FC Nordsjælland. Unfortunately we lost Esben Miltoft 25c to Brøndby IF. He was my best midfielder already, so it's a big loss. But we couldn't resist the bid of € 210k. The money was very welcome, and hopefully the 50% clause will give us some extra money in the future. Speaking about money; I'm very happy with our current board. They injected several times money into the club during the season! So our current negative balance of €90k would have been way bigger if they didn't injected the money. Youth intake The preview looked excellent, and the intake itself didn't dissapoint. Lots of Elite Talents. But some of the bigger talents got bad personalities. Let's hope that some of them are good enough to grow into first team players. Upgrades At the end of the season, our board was willing to upgrade Junior Coaching once more. So it's now Exceptional! Very happy with that. That was the only upgrade this season. Progress
  8. I decided to put my Raca Bratislava save on hold. Although things were going very well, I didn't have fun with it anymore. I'm currently dusting off my BK Skjold-save in Denmark, and I'm having fun with it at the moment. So I think I'll continue with this save. I really want a succesful save in Denmark, so hopefully the contract-thing won't be a dealbreaker.
  9. FK Rača Bratislava Season review Season 15 | 2038-2039 Niké liga Transfers | Affiliates | Facilities | Finances | Manager Profile | Club overview Our first unbeaten season! We won 30 out of 32 matches, and the 92 points we got is a new Niké Liga record. Also the total of 102 goals is a new league record. So yeah, things are going very well in Bratislava! We climbed up the ladder, and are now the 3rd most succesful team in Slovakia. But we still need 12 more league titles to match Slovan Bratislava, and another one to become the most succesful team in this country. But with the delay of FM25 I think it will be possible to achieve that. We also won the Cup again this season, so another Double Europe We survived the CL Group Phase for the first time! We finished 20th with 11 points, and qualified for the Knock Out Playout Round. Here we met Djurgårdens IF from Sweden, the champions of Sweden for the last 4 years. And we won against them! We played 2-2 at home, and won away 1-2. So we qualified for the Round of 16. But with Arsenal we met a very, very tough opponent, as Arsenal won the CL last season. We played 1-1 at home, a match that we could even have won with a bit more luck. But we lost the away game: 3-2. So our CL run is over, but we can look back at a great campaign. Let's continue this next season Youth intake We had a very promising preview with 3 A's. And the intake itself was a good one! Two Elite Talents, but also the 2 Top Talents look really nice. So I can't complain about this intake. Some other news about our players: we have 3 players in the XGN 2039 list! Tomislav Čabraja 38b is a striker from last season's intake, and I put him in the first XI this season. And he deliverd: he scored 27 goals in total, and became our topscorer this season. He got lots of potential and is developing really well. A potential goldmine! And something else: this message came into my inbox. I think it's the first time that I ever got this message! Nice to see that youngster Vegh 39i is having so much fun in playing football, that he already knows at his age(15!) that he wants to do this for as long as possible. Progress
  10. FK Rača Bratislava Season review Season 14 | 2037-2038 Niké liga Transfers | Affiliates | Facilities | Finances | Manager Profile | Club overview Another year, another league win! For the 5th consecutive time we won the Slovakian league. Unfortunately we were not able to win the Cup again; for the first time in 5 years time we didn't win the Cup. We lost in the Third Round against MSK Zilina. In the first couple of rounds I play with a lot of youth/back-up players. And normally they are good enough to deliver, but this time not. In the Champions League Playoffs we met FC Sion again, the same team as last season. And this time we won both matches against them: 4-1 and 3-1. So we qualified for the CL League Phase! We gained 7 points, which was just not enough to qualify for the next round. We only won 1 game, and drew 4 times. The best result was 0-0 against Man City. Overall I'm quite happy with how we played, and with a bit more luck we could have qualified for the next round. Let's hope we can do that next season. In the NXGN 2038 Wonderkids list we had 2 players: Richard Nagy 35b and Igor Augustini 36c. Youth intake The preview was mwah, although it was labelled as 'excellent'. But the actual intake gave us 3 Elite Talents. Tomislav Čabraja 38b already played 5 matches and scored 2 goals, so that's really promising. Progress
  11. FK Rača Bratislava Season review Season 13 | 2036-2037 Niké liga Transfers | Affiliates | Facilities | Finances | Manager Profile | Club overview What a fantastic season! We are making really nice progress in this save. We became champions again, for the fourth time in a row. So that's nothing special. We also won the Cup again, so another Double for us! But the real progress is in European matches. We are now at a level where I can keep my best players at the club. With almost €100M positive balance we don't need to sell players anymore. And although there is a lot of interest in some players, they are happy to stay at our club. Sometimes big European clubs, or rich Saudi Arabian clubs, make a bid for my players. But I'm able to keep my best players now. So we can really build someting. This results in our second European final of this save! Not the Champions League, but the Europa League this time. We started in the CL Playoffs, but lost against FC Sion. In the Europa League we had a fantastic journey, that took us to the final. But Liverpool was just too strong: we lost 2-0. Although we lost the final, we can look back at a fantastic campaign. I mean, we won twice against Borussia Dortmund, with a 0-4 away win as the biggest highlight. An unbelievable result. Let's hope that we can do the same in the Champions League in the next seasons :) Oh and I also got the message that I'm now the best manager ever in Slovakia I'll show you all our current first team. GK Lubomir Ilko 30a DR Marek Kocis 28c DC Dusan Kralovic 28e DC Michal Petras 34d DL Richard Nagy 35b MC Miroslav Kalman 32c MC Ivan Kuc 32f MC Lukas Luptak 33h SC Tomas Mihalik 32g SC Viktor Lukac 30c SC Alex Adamec 32h Some promising players on the bench: Igor Augustini 36c, Andrej Sokol 34b, Tomas Pavlovic 36a, Erik Luptak 36b and Miroslav Vasil 34g. We also had two players in the NXGN 2037! Youth intake I decided that it was time to hire a new HoYD. Our new man is Barna Kiss, and he looks like a fantastic HoYD with a Perfectionist personality. The preview was still from our old HoYD. I hired Kiss after the preview. I think this intake is okay. Some decent talents, but nothing spectaculair. We did got three foreign players, something unique as most players from our intakes are Slovakians. Upgrades Well, our Training Facilities were downgraded. But thankfully our board was willing to upgrade it again. We still can't upgrade our Youth Facilities any further. Let's hope this will change soon. I also asked the board to build a new stadium, as we now got a waiting list with 6209 fans. But the board responded that we can grow without building a new stadium. Progress
  12. FK Rača Bratislava Season review Season 12 | 2035-2036 Niké liga Transfers | Affiliates | Facilities | Finances | Manager Profile | Club overview Another great season! For the third consecutive time we won the Double! So it's fair to say that we are best club in the country. But we are still far away to win the most league titles, as Slovan Bratislava won the league 18 times. But things are going very well at Rača. We almost maxed out our facilities. Only our Youth Facilities can upgrade one more time. Our players are developing nicely and are getting better and better. And we finally got some foreign affiliates. Not one, but four! With Cibalia(Croatia), KF Tirana(Albania), MTE 1904(Hungary) and OFK Beograd(Serbia) we got some nice affiliates. I can't wait to see some foreign players in our next intakes Another nice thing to mention is that 8 players has been called up for the national team. This is a new club record. And with 2 former Raca-players (Kovac 27a and Guľa 31a) we even got 10 academy players in the National team. Best players this season were Tomas Mihalik 32g, Alex Adamec 32h, Miroslav Kalman 32c and Marek Kocis 28c. Europe For the first time in the club history we qualified for the Champions League League Phase! With our last years league win we qualified for the Playoffs, were we met Ludogorets. We won: 2-0 away and 0-0 at home. So we qualified for the League Phase. We got a very, very difficult draw. But it was a fantastic experience to play against big teams like Ajax, Real Madrid and FC Bayern. We even won our first match against Atalanta. But we lost almost all the other matches, which is no shame at all. We did won against Ferencváros, but it was not enough to qualify for the next round. Let's see if we have more luck next season Youth intake The preview was not good. The intake itself gave us 3 Elite talents, which is still quite good. And they all look like really nice talents. Upgrades Our stadium is getting another expension. After this expension we got more then 14.000 seats. We even got a waiting list(2.350 supporters) for our stadium, so this expension is very welcome. Progress
  13. I'm happy for you that you survived this very difficult first season Nice talent, Nagy 25a! He'll be a starter next season for sure I guess. Good luck next season!
  14. Yeah, that's annoying! But keep on fighting, things will getting better! If you manage to survive the first season, the next one will be easier as you can play with many more players than this season. You can do this!
  15. That's correct. You can play youth players when they became 16 years old. You can't play with 15 year olds.
  16. Challenge accepted Good luck with Inter! And have fun also, I like it a lot managing in Slovakia
  17. Welcome in Slovakia! And nice to see that you also chose Raca! Good luck!! Last week I returned from my Holiday, after I spend a couple of weeks in Southern France with my wife and kids. Yesterday I started playing FM again. I’m at the end of season 2035/2036 with Raca, so the next update will follow soon
  18. FK Rača Bratislava Season review Season 11 | 2034-2035 Niké liga Transfers | Affiliates | Facilities | Finances | Manager Profile | Club overview So, after the deception in Italy, I decided to go back to my Raca Bratislava-save. Season 11, and we won our second consecutive league title! We won the league with 14 points ahead of the number 2 Slovan Bratislava. And we also won the Cup again, so another Double this season!! Best players this season were Alex Adamec 32h, Peter Lukac 24c, Miroslav Kalman 32c and Tomas Mihalik 32g. Europe We made our debut in the Champions League this season. But we lost in the Playoff against Lugano. So no Champions League Group Phase, but the Europa League Group Phase instead. We had soms great results againt very good teams. We lost in the Round of 16 against Torino, although we won our home match with 3-2. So even in Europe we are getting better and better. Hopefully we are able to get into the Champions League Group Phase next season, to test us against the best teams. Youth intake Another good intake! The preview was excellent, and the intake itself was a very good one. We got three Elite Talents. And they look really talented! The only downside is that we don't really need new players on these positions. Upgrades Another Youth Facilities upgrade!! After many rejected attempts, our board was finally willing to upgrade it once more. So I'm very happy with it! It's the only part of our Facilities that I can upgrade. Oh, and one of my youth players has been poached by Aston Villa. So I'll keep an eye on him, but it also means that our youth players are getting good enough to get poached by clubs like Villa. Progress
  19. Look at this... I just got sacked, after 15(!) straight defeats. Fifteen! And that at this club. In my previous save we finished 2nd, and now this... We had lots of injuries(5 first team players, including my only serious GK) but I couldn't turn it around. After so many defeats the morale was so low, that we just couldn't win anymore. I had an emergency meeting with the board, and they told me to earn 6 points in 5 matches. But we lost everything, so I got sacked. Goodbye, Campobasso....
  20. Città di Campobasso A new save! I've got some unfinished business in Italy. I lost my previous save with Campobasso due to some problems with my old laptop. As I really loved that save, I'll start again with them. So back to Molise, back to Campobasso! It's quite nice to see all those familiar faces again
  21. It’s weird maybe, but I lost the motivation to continue my save with Raca Bratislava. It suddenly came, and now I want something else. It became a bit boring. I don’t delete this save, but I’ll try something different for now.
  22. Well done, @naterr! I think @darren1983 can add you to the Hall of Fame.
  23. FK Rača Bratislava Season review Season 10 | 2033-2034 Niké liga Transfers | Affiliates | Facilities | Finances | Manager Profile | Club overview We finally did it! After ten seasons, we are the champions of Slovakia!! And not even that, we won the Double as we also won the Cup again. And how: we won 0-4 against our biggest rival Slovan Bratislava. So it's fair to say that we are one of the best teams in the country now. We won the league with 20(!!) points ahead of the nr. 2 MSK Žilina. A surprising nr. 2, because for the first time in 13 years Dun. Streda didn't finish in the Top 2. They finished 5th this season, and nearly qualified for European football. The only reason they qualified is that from this season, Slovakian teams now got 5 European spots, instead of 4. And with our 1st place we qualified for the Champions League for the first time! Not the League Phase yet, but the Playoff. But that's also a huge step forward compared to last season, as the winner of the league from last season only qualified for the First Qualification Round. So that means that if we fail to qualify for the CL League Phase, we still got a guaranteed Europa League Phase ticket Europe We had a very good European run in the Conference League this season. Not as good as last season, but still a good one. We lost in the Round of 16 against the later winner of the Conference League: Sparta Praha. So if we had to lose against the later winner, it's not that bad. Players At the start of the season I lost my best player Stanislav Guľa 31a. He went to AC Milan for a transfer record of € 7,5M. A big loss, but also a very good transfer for us. The biggest transfer in Slovakian history, and we even got a 50% clause. He didn't play a single game this season for them. But he's in their first team squad, on the bench, waiting for his chance. With his departure, I had to shuffle our midfield a bit. I made space for youngster Miroslav Kalman 32c, and wow, what a season he had. He played 51(!) matches, scoring 21 goals and 18 assists. And he even made his debut for the national team! What a player. Let's take a look at the players who made us champions this season: GK Lubomir Ilko 30a : very talented GK. A bit on the short side, but he's our most talented GK. DL Lubomir Gabris 32a : a great young player, who already played 2 matches for the national team. DC Jozef Kica 31c : a good, tall and brave defender DC Dusan Kralovic 28e : our captain! Solid defender. DR Marek Kocis 28c : a great wingback, with 3 caps now. Lots of good clubs are interested in him, but he doesn't want to leave. MC Roman Luhovy 29d : our carilero. Really nice player, but his attributes hasn't improved the last two seasons. MC Samuel Kolesar 28d : our 'weakest' player, but still a very important one. A real leader on our midfield. MC Miroslav Kalman 32c : our new goldmine. Fantastic player. SC Stefan Sokol 31b: very talented striker. Scored 24 overall goals this season. SC Viktor Lukac 30c : our topscorer! Scored 32 overall goals. SC Peter Lukac 24c : club legend! Is scoring goals for fun. But we got some really talented youngsters coming, so I'm not sure if he can keep his place. Youth intake A very promising preview, and a very promising intake as well! Some really nice players in this intake. Can't wait to see how they will develop. And although I'm still happy about my HoYD Ibrahima Sidibé, I am looking for a replacement. I want someone with better judging-abilities, and with a different preferred formation. Upgrades We were finally able to upgrade our Youth Facilities again! After many, many years of waiting for the option to come back. But after the upgrade was completed, the option was there again, but the board isn't willing to upgrade it again. Let's hope that will change soon. And we also expanded our stadium. We now got a capacity of 10.800. Progress
