  1. I'm somewhat in agreement. The only thing is that I haven't done a normal save since near release so values/offers, I don't really notice (I just use reject all offers when doing tactic tests lol). But I do have a couple save files and this one in particular, I understand where you're coming from. So, I'm Benfica and won the Portuguese League, all domestic cups but also reached the UCL Semi-Finals. Antonio Silva = £17-£20mil value. He also just signed a new long-term deal. His value IMO should be a lot higher. But then Morato = £28-£36mil. Antonio Silva is a Portugal international player and has a higher reputation. David Neres is valued at £750k-£1.6mil. 11 goals, 17 assists and is valued below £1mil. That's the most surprising and falls in line with your randomly low values. 4 more years on his contract.
  2. But you are Juventus lool what's the complaint here? I really don't understand these sort of moans. You picked Juventus (a good team that beat Inter 2-0 last season) and beat Inter (a good team). But because Inter are doing exceptionally well IRL, that means you must not be able to beat them in your game? Not being funny here but you put a challenge in the same complaint as saying you played with Juventus and possibly did little to make that individual save challenging. Likely, game winners such as Dušan Vlahović and Federico Chiesa helped you win the game as they have the ability to do so. Not to mention having a top CM in Locatelli and CB in Bremer. The majority of these posts are and will be taken with a grain of salt because it's just a complaint with no substance. Even had you posted a screenshot of the win, it helps a little % more. But who knows, it could be a 4-1 win because your team was clinical and Inter missed chances. Maybe you've given yourself such attributes and reputation at the start of the game, you are practically on the same level or even better in the game than Inzaghi. These little things nobody knows so extremely difficult to really understand the complaint. I get it. People have posted similar "game is too easy" complaints so others will continue without having to provide any sort of evidence to back that up. Here are the major clubs in Serie A ranked. You selected the top. Juve. Albeit, Inter may have a better squad, you are still playing with the club that has the highest reputation in Italy. As mentioned before, mixed with a manager profile that has great playing-level experience and attributes, you too are a force to be reckoned with. For as long as I can remember, you'd always be able to pick a great team in a league and beat other great teams in FM.
  3. Some of these are too major. From 6 key passes in 2 games, to just 2.
  4. God bless that RB One thing I dislike and really affects my low block systems and I believe the team have also pointed this out (mentioning how your wingers look to man mark which already can mess up your shape), is the positioning of wide players. I do have a 442 post about it where the wingers, regardless of instruction set will look to mark their opposition FB or Wing back which does this. My RM Pipa is marking their wing-back for literally no reason here. And this is what I pointed out from the video and said that regardless of opposition/level, I see this happening in the ME. My RB and RM are marking Fiorentina's LM. Look at the gap firstly it creates between the central players and right-sided players. My channels are now wide open. This consttantly allows for players to freely dribble without engagement. Now I know the RB is very bad for the AI, but I see many FBs struggle with the same thing. Mostly because of the bad positioning. With things like this, I can never be truly happy with my low block shape as my whole intention is to be both narrow and compact. Due to no instruction that I can change, the ME forces players to do this. For me, there's more improvements to be made other than decisions. Positioning is a major one for me. Players take up bad/unideal positions when in certain defensive situations. Can also ring true when high pressing - your initial prevent short GK distribution shape can be pretty bad with nothing for you to select to tweak players' positioning. But these things are constant, which is why I was able to post what I did through previous experience rather than just based on that clip. My number 20 and number 2 here marking their number 6. My RB shouldn't be far from his RCB and my RM shouldn't be far from the RCM but the spaces between here couldn't be bigger Just my opinion, I do think there's a little way to go with defending
  5. And the player clearly has his back to goal. Two defenders behind him and no11 doesn't allow him to easily turn and shoot. There is also no other passing option - to keep and retain possession, passing it back and resetting is really the only option. And for people saying "this will never happen"...don't say that unless you are sure. Because I am 1000% sure similar has happened and will happen.
  6. Thing is with this one, I'm not sure the player is actually complaining. Fabian Holland is letting you know something is affecting Klarer's mood. So giving you a heads-up before he does actually complain, There's no expectation for you to give him first-team football right away. Playing time is an odd one. For me, if a player accepts impact sub then I still tend to give them a start here and there because I can't imagine them expecting to never start.
  7. Clinton Mola. Haha You managed to get it sorted, or has it froze since?
  8. Forget parts of this as I just read the opposition is lower league. Much of it still stands, just not relating to the clip.
  9. So just my opinion (right or wrong), it’s pleasing to see as the in-possession side. but, I’d be flipping tables if i were the out of possession side . Some of the defensive movement/positioning and decisions I don’t find was unique to that highlight. The point in this isn’t to pick the video apart. I’d just love to see some thing improve. - I have a post already about the struggles of defending in a 442 because of wide players. As Hato is driving forward, we see the RM stuck to the LB. This created a huge gap/space for Hato to drive into. As Hato drives past, you see the RB doing the same thing and is so detached to his back line. We don’t possibly know the defensive instructions of the AI but it’s common for me (can check out the original post). IMO (right or wrong), first the RM should be doing better delaying Hato, forcing him to play a more simple pass to the LB. - IF the AI was trying to force wide (my guess because of the strikers curved run to block the central pass) then it highlights the bad wide players positioning even more. IF was looking to force wide, the RM made no attempt to come inside and force Hato wide. IF being an important word. - The CMs engagement. I know some have a point that Hato’s teammate running across caused a moment of uncertainty. If playing the clip slowly, the width between Hato and CM was already increasing. Whether Hato’s teammate ran across or doesn’t, Hato would still be able to travel that far simply because no engagement. CM further gives up towards the byline, in the very moment he should be closer to Hato. Then again, CMs attributes. We don’t know it but regardless, it doesn’t sit most comfortable. Hato travelling from one side to the other, naturally should be loosing some steam. - the RB. Why he decides to run inside at an awkward time (not when the winger runs inside, but at around 00:10) rather than stay with his CM and double up on Hato, stopping that cross. Would be more typical defensive behaviour. By doubling up there, also potential of cutting out a pass back to edge of area. Off the ball, in possession, I think you see a lot of players taking incentive and making good decisions as play is developing. Making runs into channels - runs inside the box from wide etc etc. For me, defensively, the movement isn’t on the same level. Some off the ball runs are a lot more difficult to deal with and track. And so it should be. But you can easily be undone by a simple one dimensional run (example, RB so far from my RCB allows a CM to run and attack that channel. My defensive CM can struggle with an easy enough track). But, as I said, that’s just me and what I see (agree or not) within my own games too and not purely based off the clip. There’s probably reasons to why the AI defended like how they did. Now ive gotten great results using a defensive minded system but it doesn’t necessarily result to me extremely happy with what I’m seeing in terms of shapes, defensive moments etc. But importantly, we all have different eyes. Looking at and for different things. I can be a looking at things a lot more technical because of my nature and work. I’m looking at/for certain things when it comes to defending.
  10. Most of us just think differently. Like one saying you shouldn’t have to use a set or instructions and roles to achieve something particular is a bit baffling to me. I thought that was the whole point it tactic creating. But others will think different. as always, it’s probably best to actually show us and not just words. Because when someone posts their theory of showing the opposite, the conversation no longer becomes constructive. It becomes difficult to really understand what one is saying when you are seeing different things in your game. Prime example. One person is saying every pass is perfect. Another says passes are often undercooked. Both apparently are issues with the current ME. That sort of contradicts. I think “every pass is perfect” is more about certain moments but again, some won’t know that if not shown
  11. Maybe I'm missing something because you clearly stated "it's a match engine issue" when someone brought up through passes. You said and quite clearly "you can't" when @Itego asked how to fix through balls to his AF. So you're replying that you can't fix the through ball issue to his AF. I replied how I do it. What's the issue with that? Me then posting my tactic and showing how I do it isn't to just "prove you wrong" but also simply because the original person is asking for help. Therefore, posting my tactic and in-game screenshots of what he wants to achieve seems like a good idea to me. I've also clearly mentioned central play can do with an improvement. When I call for things to be improved, I don't just claim things. I *try* to back my theory and send in my opinion. So, about central play and other things, I have reported many many times. If you read my comments here, you will very quickly realise I don't think the ME is perfect and faultless. I don't just say things loosely and I report it. So talking about not wanting to help the game, I spend so much of my free time sending in stuff. Quite literally. I'm sure you will not find many more customers actively attempting to communicate with SI to improve FM. And as you said, each to their own so why don't I have the right to disagree with you without it meaning I don't want to help the game? You will never find a comment of me saying FM is fine as it is. You'll see plenty of me suggesting things to improve the game. Trying to help. But be constructive it what I'm doing. This thread is a perfect example. Rather than the person claiming it's broken etc, they posted a constructive thread. I and others tried to help. First, we made sure we tried many different combinations to get what he wanted. After not being able to achieve that, there was so much "evidence" to send in. I then sent it to SI and they saw it. That's what I picture what helping SI improve the ME looks like. SI now have more to work with. What doesn't help SI is people just claiming things are a problem with no suggestions. Also, claiming you can't do things in the game when you can doesn't help the player. As clear. "Personally, I'd like to see an improvement with ball retention in the central areas of the final 3rd. Allowing for more methodical chance creation". Now, the person wanted his world-class striker to score goals. He wanted through balls. Why is it then bad to say "check your tactics"? Why is saying it can be your tactic such a negative thing? If he genuinely wants help which it seemed he did, he can take advice on how others are getting the same results he's asking for. There are his questions. I then replied by showing my tactic and it happening in game. I showed those in game shots to back my original theory of attacking channels etc etc. Remember. To all his question posts about him asking for through balls, you went on to call it an issue with the ME and that he can't fix the through ball issues he's having. To me, and others, that looks clearly like you're saying either it doesn't happen or happen enough. So actually, me showing it happening 3 times in one game is a good thing because it shows he absolutely can fix THAT particular issue. He never once mentioned anything else about operating in tight areas etc. Those things can do with an improvement. People and myself would agree. But, that was not the question the person asked and yourself claimed he can not fix the issue he's having. Hence my replies. Through balls is the only thing I'm answering to. Simply, because you said he can't fix it. Maybe you didn't mean to. But, through balls is he wanted and that's what I wanted to help with.
  12. And there you are. Hat-trick for my World Class striker. Hat-trick of assists from KDB. Hat-trick of central through-ball assists. Rinse and repeat. KDB picks up dangerous pocked forcing CB to engage. We then exploit. Because this is a feedback page my feedback is with the right set up and players, central play can be devastating. Personally, I'd like to see an improvement with ball retention in the central areas of the final 3rd. Allowing for more methodical chance creation. But attacking central areas is certainly a thing in FM24.
  13. @akkm @Itego In the same game, we replicated the goal lol. Central through ball onto the striker. KDB attracts Colwill, leaving the channel empty. Now space for the through ball. The right players exploiting and taking advantage. Personally, the central through balls isn't a problem. There can be an issue in setups stopping them from being effective. I don't even have pass into space on, it' not needed because I don't want us playing that pass each and every time. THAT could then become an issue. Not creating space for the though ball to complete it. Your players could well be attempting through balls but without space, it can be intercepted.
  14. I do watch Inter (not every week) and though he stays central when defending, it’s indeed Barella who often makes up a lot of ground so Hakan doesn’t actually do much defending (tackling, tracking runners etc). Hakan isn’t lazy IRL and 11 for work rate is average in FM. Those two also have more sprints from counter pressing, pressing wide areas and tracking back to collapse back into a 532. When it comes to researchers and attributes, I’m not 100% sure how they work it out to be honest. Looking at Hakans technical ability, that already makes him a really good player. If FM started added 13-14s across the board, it would turn him into the best player. Example, Passing (18), Vision (17), Technique (16), and composure (17). Thats elite passing. his anticipation on 14 would allow him to effectively read the game, just not on an elite level. Positioning 12 and tackling 13, you won’t get passed him easily but still, can be in good positions to make an effective tackle. Anything more, he’s becoming an elite player. in one of the images you posted, it did say Bastoni was 3rd with average speed in sprints. Maybe Bastoni is faster than looks which is often the case in football. It’s often some players don’t have to hit their max speed or have quick acceleration to get to their max speed.
  15. Data was as big of a thing then so forgive the table I was able to find. At the time, it was a conversation among Arsenal fans. Some dislike Ozil, though he was lazy. Those who defended him would often mention how much distance he covers. Ozil covering much ground through roaming. He wasn’t often busting his gut, going above and beyond to get into the box and track back. but due to his roaming, he often would cover a lot of ground. I wouldn’t give Ozil a high work rate because of that.
  16. The Libero + Regista combo isn't one I'm most comfortable with haha the Regista's roaming makes build-up a bit too unpredictable (as in sometimes he's not taking up the position I want). For a lot of away games, I prefer to use a DM instead and get a more solid 3-2 set-up. One reason I wanted to use a Regista was so I could try and get some switches of play. Most of the time he's good at retaining, but he'll have one or two games where he's forcing the risky pass and the pass % drops into the 70%'s. In this away game against Chelsea, I decided to be brave (Chelsea are on poor form), using a Regista away from home I do like his attempts with the longer passes wide. But with my aggressive mentality, think he's looking for it too often.
  17. Work Rate isn't EVERYTHING when it comes to covering distance. If your tactic requires a lot of running, teamwork also plays an important role. Hakan teamwork is 17. Mkhi has teamwork 15. Barella 17. What happens when we put "how are they sprinting/jogging?" into context. Example, are they running around pressing and closing. Or, does their tactical role require plenty of movement? For example, Hakan IRL in possession roams around which is likely also helping with high numbers. The fact Hakan has high running numbers but sprints drop compared to Mhki and Barella can indicate Hakan runs a lot when roaming. Barella we know works hard pressing and closing down which would be sprinting. Just like Ozil at Arsenal. Branded lazy. But often had the highest KM in a game. Is that him working hard for the team or is that him drifting around a lot as we know he did? Maybe Inter players can do with some upgrades. But you have to be wary of some of these attributes. You don't want to be making Hakan a great defensive player.
  18. I believe this is the pass some are saying is non-existent? I see my team do it, at least attempt it, pretty often. Now, central play can do with some improvement, but it's always better to show your feedback rather than just say it. This pass does happen in FM. The weight of this particular pass was spot on. The movement from Haaland (spinning and making the run as soon as KDB pulls the trigger), almost everything about this was perfect timing.
  19. And more often we can create a chance like this (my favourite sort of goal). Foden originally attacking the channel forced Coleman to engage. Left my Left Winger free on the left. Nice through ball. Then LW cut back to my ST. Of course, consider I am Man City (creating a City tactic). For these sort of chances, we don't exactly need a top-class striker. Doku takes advantage of this also because of his pace. Alverez is a different profile, with his "comes deep to get ball" influencing his movement. Haaland being a top striker means he also scores many different types of goals. But the system allows someone like Doku to also take advantage.
  20. Best to post your tactic either in the tactic forum for an actual discussion or maybe here for quick-fire replies (this thread is for feedback though so maybe not best received). I'm currently creating a Man City tactic and whether I try Haaland as a PFa, AF or P, he just bags goals because the system makes sure he's the main threat, created space for him and plenty of supply. This is the tactic. His supply is both wingers, CM on support and Regista in DM. That's 4 creators. CMa can, he has take more risks with passing but on attack, is there to be an added scoring threat so it's not just one player, but the main scoring threat has plenty of supply. Making sure he has space, only one other player is moving into the channels (my CMs). So if LCM takes up one channel, Haaland can take up the other. Maybe limited channel space if two players are attempting to attack one channel. Or if they rotate with moving into a channel, would mean my ST won't always be moving into a channel if he's "channel sharing". Wingers look to always open the channels by staying wide (attracting opposition FBs) - again, making more space for the striker to move and space exploit.
  21. Crazy because I was literally about to ask what does “exploit” mean in a gaming sense haha i was going to say that us and AI should always be looking to exploit. It’s part of football and to win games but obviously, has two different meanings when it comes to gaming/football manager. So I’m guessing an exploit in this convo would be exploiting a tactical fault AI can’t fix? Like the transfer bug, people exploited it.
  22. So I'll probably leave it here as, just in my opinion, deep crossing isn't working as pictured. The ability for your full-back to get the ball from A to B by direct pass/cross to a target forward. This is the best I've managed to get it. At least Hume as tried a deep pass into the box but just one. I guess you can count two of those yellow-coloured crosses as a deep cross - though in player instructions, it says cross deep before getting into the attacking 3rd. Watching my FB in possession, they show no urgency or play to make that direct ball to TF. (also have aim cross to TF in player instructions) This is using cautious, btw. So maybe the more defensive you go, the more it can happen. In my opinion, I can understand if was told FB on support, asking them to cross from deep, you are only increasing the tendency, therefore not guaranteed to always look for it. Disappointing when it's a hard-coded instruction, though. It should be a part of the FB typical behaviour regardless. Like a Winger will look to dribble more regardless. AF will look to move into channels etc. FBs with cross deep should be looking to cross deep.
  23. I also find the cross from deep and hit early crosses a bit contradictory. It says "hit early crosses" under final third instructions. But in player instructions, it specifically mentions crossing before reaching the final 3rd. I'm not even sure, now, if that instruction is going to be helpful for FBs crossing from deep
  24. I feel like I'm getting there. Sort of. So I had to actually watch these crosses because the majority are from corners or throw-ins (throw short and then they early cross). Atm, difficult to replicate from both sides - The RB is more open to in this game. Last game, it was the LB. Watching, I counted 3 open-play deep crosses from RB. 0 from LB. Regardless, it's something that I'll report if that's okay with you. (using this post). I feel the combo of hit early crosses and FBs having cross from deep should have a greater effect.
