I could almost have predicted it would be the standard response 'playing as Barcelona'. What you are doing is spreading mis-information. Because YOU can't get a high defensive line working, YOU think it can't be done. What happens then is that people see this and take it as fact. It is anything but.
Yes, I am playing as Barcelona, but my squad, as I only took over this season, isn't world class. I am the third best in Spain by squad:
My Champions League games you wanted to see: Bayern, world class side, beaten both times and only conceded 1 goal which happened to be a rubbish clearance from my GK straight to Lewadowski:
So, again, please stop trying to say playing a HDL means you will get slaughtered. It means nothing of the sort providing you set the rest of your team and instructions correctly.

There are thing that we can't simply recreate, one of them ? City away from home uses high defensive line. Try to do that in FM 2019 and you get SLAUGHTERED, period. About the AP-A, makes more sense an AP-A than a Mezzala if you really think.
There other thing i wanted to say is the Raumdeuter. I was playing with 2 ramdeuters and there are hybrids. They can touch the line when they have the Very Wide TI and they cut in when they see space and if they don't they stay in the wing, try that.
Completely untrue about getting 'SLAUGHTERED' if you play a high line away from home. I always play a high line with high press intensity and my defensive record is excellent:
You can easily play a high line if you set the team up correctly.

At work at the moment so can't post screenshots, but I started a Man Utd save last Thursday when the beta came out. Am struggling a little to be honest, after about 10 games I am currently 6th. I know I have lost to Arsenal 3-0 (1st game of the season) and Liverpool as well as the mighty Cardiff.
I started with a control pressing 4-3-3 DM (same formation as Jamie Cortez above), but found it wasn't working so switched to a vertical tika-taka 4-3-3 DM. That has been better but I am struggling to score.
I have struggled to offload players. Smalling went to Chelsea but I had Fellani, Young, Rojo, Jones, Darmian and Valencia all listed for well below their values and didn't get one offer, despite me offering them out. I did manage to sign Varane from Real for £63m, a lot of money for a centre back but he has been great so far.

No sensibly run business is going to, or indeed can afford to, carry on making a product that is losing money, which looking at Miles statement and tweets is exactly what the Linux version is doing.

Playing as Chelsea, come to register my squad for the Champions League and it will only let me select one player!! I select whoever, say Fabregas and then it won't let me select any other player. So, great I have one player selected for my champions league squad.
Any idea's??

Is there anywhere (youtube, here etc) a in depth guide on how exactly to use data analysis and scouts this year?
I only seem to get very few players in my 'known' players list even when selecting the top package, I think I may be doing something wrong, but to be honest, as usual, the complete lack of information means I can't figure out what I am doing wrong.

My mate Chris just told me there's still a few issues to sort out before the Beta is made live.
Expect around 5pm tomorrow apparently.
Is this the same Chris that you posted about the other day? You said then it would be released Tuesday, so forgive me if I call B.S. on 'Chris'

Yes. They don't have to offer a discount at all, and it ends after the headline video was released
You could wait and shop around for deals like lots of others do, in fact these offers are often posted into GD. You can also wait a little after release for the inevitable price drop too. You've got options
Okay. Agree to disagree. I feel it is basically a shoddy way of doing business, you don't. I just feel this is all going down the wrong road for the gaming public.

No one has ever said you have to pre order or buy before you're happy. That's precisely what the demo is for.
Except that SI's offer to 'loyal' customers like me who have played this game for over 25 years and owned every single version since it was introduced ends well before the demo, or even any hard information is out.
Does that honestly seem fair to anyone?

I couldn't care less about 'new features'. I want to know if they have improved the match engine and the AI - and HOW they have done it.
I won't be pre-ordering or buying until I know that these things have been improved. There just hasn't been enough improvement in those 2 areas for me over the last 3 or 4 years to continue to justify buying what, essentially, has now become a data update every year.

They didn't have the discount until last year did they? So I'm struggling to see how you've been disadvantaged.
Never said we had been disadvantaged. My view is that the game is developing less and less each year. They give people an incentive to buy the game before they really know what they are buying.
Let me be clear, I am not complaining about the discount. It is brilliant. And I will buy the game, more than likely. I have bought and played every single version since the first Champ Manager on the Amiga. I have played FM17 for over 1500 hours. What I don't like is the way SI now go about 'selling' their game. Other companies release lots of trailers and footage of the game before release so the public can see the differences. I just don't feel, and I don't think SI feel, there are enough differences to do this.

So, all the in depth things that tell us exactly what SI are going to do will be done AFTER the pre-order offer finishes?
How has the AI been overhauled - what have they done it make it better?
What exactly are the new player roles?
How has scouting been revamped?
See my point?
Been looking back, FM13 the video blogs started at the beginning of September to give us an idea of exactly what was being implemented in the game. The last few years have given us little to no information before whatever off they have come up with is over.

I know there will be 'dynamics' whatever the hell that means. What else do we know?

Where can we find any information on new features? That video doesn't give enough information.
Miles said that all new features would be announced by late September. We have one week for the pre-order discount and as yet nothing has been announced.

How do you get the database, is there a website or link?

I honestly think you need to go away and re-evaluate what you think you know about the game. You are coming across as very rude and condescending. If someone shows you something that you don't believe is correct or if I am being honest, that you can't achieve, you start throwing accusations around.
I would seriously suggest you have a look at Herne's thread. There is a video in there showing how a goal was scored. It certainly wasn't a set piece.
Again, as I said in a few posts above, the information you are putting across here is just wrong 'Everybody in here knows that if you achieve 900 passes with whatever that tactic you are using: you have world class players, you play very cautious football, no risks at all'
Herne has produced a whole thread on the subject, why don't you try to read it and see what you can learn from it? He has shown it can be done. I don't play the game the same way that he does, but it has certainly given me a few ideas I want to try out next season.
