    Right so Pre-Season has just finished, looking forwards to our first foray into Ligue 1.

    All your choices are pretty sound, I'd recommend looking at Nantes too.....look forwards to reading your posts....good luck

    Think there'd be better options for you, I'm on a really tight budget and I'm trying to stick to French and African players, plus he's still only 23 in my save so if he's played regularly he could improve quite a bit

    So my 1st season in charge of Sochaux ends...What can only be described as a great season

    My Youth Prospect of the Season - He managed to break into the first team and scored a hat-trick on his debut

    Got some priorities in terms of transfer targets, mainly a first team Centre Back but have done this business so far:-

    Most of those signed will add depth to the team with Fonsinho likely to bpush for a starting place at LW straight away

    Going to spend most of pre-season carrying our a major overhaul of all back room staff

    Nice signings @Ronaldo Beckham

    I have had to sell my 5 star potential "I demand a contract" CB to Lyon after they unsettled him, sold for 900K up front with a further 400K over 2 installments. Not overly happy but I do have another 5 star potential CB that I've called up into the first team....

    Still with the 500K the board gave me I was finally able to get Brahima Ouattara for 180K, also searching for a new prospect LB to back-up the rather good Pendant, which will allow me to terminate the loan of Rocchia who is costing 1.5K a week to sit on the bench

    Also got three further youth players who have improved so much they are actually good enough to play regularly, one of them is only 16!! By calling them up I've been able to terminate the loan of Livolant which added 2.2K back into the wage budget which mean't I could extend the contract of Lasme who has been excellent so far this season... 

    Loving this save, it's certainly keeping me on my toes in terms of managing the budget....

    Just lost my first game of the season to OM on Pens in the 3rd Rnd of the Coupe da la Ligue, Crunch game against Lorient next who are currently in 2nd.

    @karanhsingh I'd sell to be honest, 30m will get you a replacement and maybe allow you to increase the wage budget to cover any more contract renewals.

     

    I'm getting slightly annoyed at players coming to me and asking for a new contract when I have nothing left in the wage budget....even when I promise it will be done at the end of the season....now i've got a grumpy 5 star potential player whose just broken into the team unhappy and threatening me with going to the media.....

    As you can see I need to convert more draws into wins from looking at the teams above me. That is the difference. I need to think of quality instead of quantity with my squad. I think a bit of an overhaul is needed.

    My best player was Opa Nguette who I was going to sell in the summer but kept him and he repaid his faith with 15 goals from the right wing as a inside forward, he was my top scorer but that was probably due to my main strikers Diallo and Sadiq getting big injuries.

    Other star players were Claudio Gomes who I got on loan from Man City and was excellent and had my best average rating in the squad.

    Angelo Fulgini has been quietly doing his job and getting the most assists in the team with 13 assists for the season.

    Habib Diallo who was injured for 3-4 months of the season still got 14 goals from 17 games so he was lethal but was just unlucky with injuries and the fact that I started Sadiq for the start of the season.

    Diallo will be my main striker next season and I will give Sadiq game time as well but Diallo will be the main man.

    Qualify for Champs League and you'll start getting the revenue in which leads to bigger budgets....keep going....nice team yopur putting together there

    Suspensions, yes. That will be good for me as I have youngster who will get game time. In my gegenpress, I've got tighter marking and stay on feet, but perhaps I should go for get stuck in :lol:
