Unterhaching - Season 1 - 3.Liga - End of Year Review League - 1st - WINNERS!! Well that was rather unexpected. We were top with 3 games to go, after SV Wehen Wiesbaden had a TERRIBLE run to end the season losing 4 of their last 5 games. Going into the last game, we just needed a win to guarantee top, or a draw to almost be certain (depending on other results) of being in at least the top 3. We won and Wehen lost again which took them out of the top 3 (they had been first for about 90% of the season). Where as we had been 2nd for most of the year. The Squad We really started with a very talented set of players, as well as quite a few who have room to develop. Our starting 11 was pretty consistent throughout the season and Patrick Hobsch won top goalscorer, with Victor Zentrich and Maurice Krattenmacher joining him in the Team of The Year. Manager of the Year - yes please I also won Manager of the Year in my first season. Nice! Youth Intake I was excited about Youth Intake day, but to be honest it was kind of underwhelming. Although after signing Gabriel Steinberger (YP01B) and Florian Drath (YP01D) joined Manuel Mayer (YP01A) in the elite category. I signed all tagged. Top 3 - Youth Intake 1 Manuel Mayer (YP01A) - Looks like he could be a decent player in the future. I am not thrilled with his starting attributes and poor strength seems to have been the theme of this intake. However I know that he is 16, this is the first intake and of course there is plenty of room to improve. As will be shown later, I kind of need a new AML. Gabriel Steinberger (YP01B) - Another youth player with weak strength, which won't do for a CB. I am thinking that he will be retrained to a CDM, as I think his passing and work rate lends itself to that area of the pitch and his marking, heading and strength are a worry for playing as a CB. Muck Hirtlreiter (YP01C) - Muck beat out Florian Drath (YP01D) for my third spot due to his desirable Fairly Professional personality. The fact that he is another weak player who struggles in some key areas was one I perhaps overlooked when dishing out the C grade, but it also shows that this intake was not blessed with quality. Finances We are struggling with finances, but promotions should sort it out in the short term. We will get around 6 million even if we come bottom of the Bundesliga 2. Other News: Our most exciting prospect who was already at the club Maurice Krattenmacher was wanted by a host of teams. He had a clause I could not get rid of (1 million release for those in a higher domestic division). Lyon offered a fee of 1.7 mil including addons, but wouldn't give me the 50% of next sale I wanted. I tried to negotiate and the board accepted a 2mil offer with 20% of profit of next sale.....I protested and before clubs in Bundesliga could pay the million, I offered him out for 850k + 50% of next sale and ended up accepting a few offers that would allow him to stay until the end of next season (no loan back so I am safe). I would have loved to keep him, but it was inevitable he was going to leave. Hoping he really develops and I get a nice chunk of that 50% of next sale.

Any update on whether this may be added in a future update for FM23?

So even though the bugs are there in Indonesia League Two, I think they may be more visual and annoying than game breaking. Basically: Contracts: Manager (myself) and player contracts seem to end on Dec 31st even though that is in the middle (2/3rds) of the way through the season. However my contract as manager ran out (the board would not offer another one), but I was not fired. I eventually asked and got a new contract in March, making me think although the contracts say Dec 31st is the expiry, in game the AI is seeing it as 31st June. Going to test more with player contracts to see how that seems, but I have just been renewing contracts early (as in renewing in March 2024 for those who expire in Dec 2024), at this stage (end of season 1) I don't want to let anyone go. Squad Registration: Summer Transfer Window is: 1st July - 25th August Summer registration period seems to be: 17th February - 1st June Winter Registration period seems to be: 15th October - 24th October This seems to not make sense. You can sign players on the 1st July, but not register them until 15th October. My youth intake was 1st July, but they could not play for around the first 10 games of the season as they couldn't be registered. However despite these issues (and doing well with Unterhaching), I may make Indonesia my main youth save. Anyway, anyone else planning to start in Indonesia beware of the above.

Just to update the above. I was able to get a new contract, 3 months after mine technically expired (I asked via board request), which makes me think although my expiry (see above) was 31st December, the game AI saw it as 31st June. Strange thing is (this may be a real life rule, or club preference that is hidden for Badak Lampung) but I was only allowed a 10 month contract, which again says it expires Dec 2024 (which I am hoping in reality means June 2024)

Worthing FC - Season 33 - English Premier League - Mid Year Review & Youth Intake League - 7th so far (missed the screenshot, but have a news item on Dec 23rd which says 7th) Our worst half of a season in a long time....compounded by... Champions League - Knocked out in group phase Despite beating Barcelona in the group stages, we couldn't get a final day win against RB Leipzig, so ended up 3rd in the group. Big Injury Part of the downfall in performance is surely due to my 2nd best player (Bradley Richards (YP18C) and one half of my amazing CB duo getting injured for 5 months, during the Barca game Youth Intake Preview Another decent preview. We are cycling through and upgrading a position or two each season at the moment (or at least bringing one or two new youth players into the rotation). So hoping for some good CMS, as that is one area that we haven't been blessed with in the last 5-10 years. Youth Intake WHAT A DISSAPOINTMENT! I was actually so mad at this. It was already a bad season so I hoped that getting a new CM prospect may brighten the season a bit. However most of these players are very unlikely to ever see the first team. When your 3rd best player has at max a 3.5* potential you know its a dud! On a side note look at all of those nationalities! Top 3 - Youth Intake 33 Bradley Ndlovu (YP33A) - The best of the bunch and could be the future 3rd CB. I usually keep a 3rd CB on the bench just in case of injury to my two starters. Ndlovu has max potential in my opinion to be the 3rd option. The terrible personality may be able to be mentored out of him, but not much hope for him to be a starter let alone a star. Vangelis Margaritis (YP33B) - Get the Margaritas in please! I actually think he could make a good option as another bench player. A full back who can play either side, is either footed and is decent all around (that dribbling stat does worry me though). Has some potential, but again probably at best a bench player. Trevor Gardiner (YP33C) - A brave and aggressive CM, what could go wrong He has discipline issues written all over him. However again I could see him becoming the 3rd, 4th or 5th choice in CM. Definitely not the 'top prospect' that was promised, but he may be able to participate in the senior squad in some way.

Unterhaching - Season 1 - 3.Liga - Mid Year Review My first game of the season looked like this: We then went 6 games unbeaten and by mid October, I asked and, received a new contract. With a one year extension in it if I get promoted. Youth Intake Preview It looks decent, but definitely not excellent. I am actually most looking for CBs and a new AMR, so if I do get a promising CB that would be much appreciated. Am I going to be blessed with an abundance of Goalkeepers again? League - 2nd so far We started unbelievable well and actually are currently going through our worst period with 2 wins, 2 losses and a draw in our last 5 games. We score for fun, but as I play positive with many players on attacking roles, we also concede quite a lot. The save is definitely going better than expected so far. Hopefully we can keep it up. Key Players My key players so far are Tizian Zimmerman my Deep Laying Playmaker who just controls the midfield for me. He is still young and has 5* potential. Maurice Krattenmacher who is a potential bundesliga talent, who is certainly performing well for a 17 year old. He hasn't got the most goals/assists, but he definitely is contributing. Patrick Hobsch is just a goalscorer. Currently the top scorer in the league and has been superb.

Question: For those who have played in Germany or with II (EG: Dortmund 2) squads. Do you put players (youth) in the 2 squad if the 2 squad is not in a competition? For real context: I have: Unterhaching - In 3.Liga Unterhaching II - in no league Unterhacing u19 - In U 19 League I am guessing those in Unterhaching II will have little to no development unless I constantly arrange friendlies. I don't have an option to request Unterhaching II join a league (I thought they were adding it). What is best to do in this situation? Just ignore Unterhaching II and have everyone in the main squad of U19?

Unterhaching - German 3. Liga - The Start I had an unsuccessful attempt with this club back in FM 20 or 21. So I have unfinished business. Being in Munich I want to challenge the dominance of Bayern. Munich will be RED!!.....well a different red Spielvereinigung Unterhaching is a German sports club in Unterhaching, a semi-rural municipality on the southern outskirts of the Bavarian capital Munich. We start with some decent facilities a good stadium and a cracking young talent. I feel a bit spoilt to be honest. New Staff First thing to do is to hire some new staff. I love a foreign HOYD. His attributes are great for this level, the only issue I have is with his preferred formation. However I will give him a good 5 years or so to see what can happen. One of my better players Dominik Stahl was listed as retiring (I went to offer a new contract to see what would happen and it showed me his staff attributes). As my current Assistant had an expiring contract, it was a no brainer to keep an ex player, with some great attributes at the club. What we are building around - Potential Bundesliga talent Already my favourite player in the game. I am hoping I can keep him. He has already (since this) signed a new contract, but it did have a 1mil release clause which is the best I could do.

Worthing FC - Season 32 - English Premier League - End of Year Review League - 4th We are always battling for top 4. The problem is we just are too inconsistent. There have been plenty of times in the last 5 years that I have thought....THIS is the year! Then we have fizzled out. Still trying to do minor tweaks to lineups, tactics, game plans (as in what I do when I go up, go down etc.). This year though Man City were just too good. I need to get my losses down to single digits to have a chance at winning the title. Champions League - First Knockout Round We were drawn against a pretty dominant FC Bayern side. Who really showed some clinical finishing to destroy any hopes of European Success. I feel I am further from European success than EPL success. Some comfort in knowing we lost to the eventual champions at least....silver linings? The Squad Well our long time left back Allen Baker-Moran (YP13C) finally lost his spot and Adam Knowles (YP20A) has come in and done a great job (for a RB converted to a LB). Reece Connolly (YP21B) is our new number 1 and has played very well all season long. Luciano Lambrechts (YP26C) is our new first choice AMR and Keaton Robinson (YP29B) recently took over the starting DM role. So with 4 new players in the squad I am trying to freshen up things and ensure success for the long term. I am really excited about all 4 of these players and feel that they could be in the starting lineup for a while (maybe with the exception of Knowles). We do have goals coming in from everywhere, but we really need a striker to score 20+ a season. Dylan Ward (YP25A) has done that before with 28 goals in a season (2 years ago), but he hasn't reached those heights again. Random Note - My current three best players Just wanted to highlight my amazing CB duo and my AML (converted). As sometimes it is useful to see attributes of youth players who have reached their potential. I have no idea what I will do if my CBs start declining as my defense has been where all my success has been founded thus far.

Wondering why I would not have the option/button to praise players training (either by the training report email in inbox or going to the player then development-training). Had it in my now abandoned/delayed Indonesia save, but not in my new Germany save. Any ideas?

Is Mexico available? Found out that my Indonesia save is probably done before it is much begun (I have done one season but haven't posted here yet, waiting to see how game breaking the bug is). So I am at the moment looking for my second save.

I think this might be related to contract issues in general, so wanted to add here, but willing to open a new thread if needed. As a Manager my contract finishes on the 31st December. Even though I have a Satisfaction Rating of A- and my job is very secure, the board will not renew my contract. When I go past 31st December I am still the manager (my contract did not expire), but the board will still not renew my contract. Do they perhaps believe it finished on the 31st July? (similar to the gap between player contracts and players moving?)

Worthing FC - Season 32 - English Premier League - Mid Year Review League - 3rd so far Man City are still just too good. With no losses so far this season, I think it is going to be tough to catch up. As always though, I honestly believe and see that we can compete with anyone. We need to have our best year yet and need Man City to have bad year in order to win this. Youth Intake Preview Not terribly excited by this. Hoping it is a bit better than suggests. The last position we need right now is Goalkeeper. Hoping the high potential Full Back is real though. Youth Intake Well this is much better than expected. I think the two A's and B were really true this time. All three look like they could be started in the next 3-4 years. All of the top talents have pretty good personalities as well. This may be a home run in fact! Top 3 Chris Vokins (YP32A) - This guy looks very very good indeed. We need a good LB, considering our long time starter Allan Baker Moran is going to be retiring at the end of the season. It may take him 3-4 years to be starter worthy, but pretty much every key stat is good, at least for a 15 year old. Getting serious potential wonderkid vibes from him, especially with the professional personality. Danny Pryce (YP32B) - Another decent looking prospect with a decent personality (although not the best). We play with a Sweeper Keeper, so nice to see the rushing out tendency being high, as well as some other key attributes. The first touch obviously needs to improve, but with 20 determination I think he is determined enough to improve. We don't really need another young impressive keeper (I have 3 at premier level right now and 2 at championship level with room to improve). Valentin Gancev (YP32C) - Another excellent prospect. His passing is the obvious flaw, but he is 15 and should get plenty of time in the Macedonian youth teams as well, which may help with both development and just match experience in general. I am excited by his personality as well as some of those mentals (I don't mind the high aggression). Random News The most recent inductee into the first team Luciano Lambrechts (YP26C) who can play AMR or Striker, got 4 goals in his international debut. He has been rotating in and around the first team this year and has been impressive to say the least.

Also forgot to mention, but there are load of teams to choose from, as the Indonesian second league went from 22-30 teams :o

Indonesia reset date is around the 1st June this year (That is not exact). I was holidaying and it was sometime between 26 May and 2nd June

A few injuries in the second half of the year. Fixture congestion and some bad luck meant we tailed off from our strong first half of the season. Champions League - Quarters Lost against the new Ligue 1 powerhouse of FC Metz. The Squad I am starting to rotate in some of the youth players. Luciano Lambrechts (YP26C) is a versatile youngster who can play in the AMR position or as a CM (although more natural as a winger). He has been consistently good and is a welcome addition to our front 3. Adam Knowles (YP20A) has been on loan...ALOT. He comes in as a rotation option as both Allen Baker Moran (YP13C) and CIaran Lowe (YP14C) are going to be retiring in the next year or two. Dylan Ward (YP25A) ex wonderkid has had a bad season. I thought he had finally hit his form with 28 goals last season, but only 11 this season shows how inconsistent some of my top players can be.

Youth Intake Top 3 Andrew Pentney (YP31A) - He looks like he could be a decent CB in the next 5 years or so. Definitely one to look out for. Has decent starting attributes, but his mentals will need some work. Jovan Radojkovic (YP31B) - Another decent looking keeper. This save we have been blessed by having too many good goalkeepers, so much so that I constantly have my next starting keeper loaned out somewhere. I think Jovan may be loaned out from the age of 18-23 and then we shall see if he can become a starter. Won't let me update the third player

Worthing FC - Season 30 - English Premier League - End of Year Review I wanted to keep my save all in one thread, so I am avoiding posting in the FM23 thread for now. I will shorten these recaps as I am actually many years ahead, since I decided to keep going with the save. League - 4th This was one of those years that again I truly believed I had a chance at winning the league. We can beat anyone on our day, but we are still relatively inconsistent. Every time Man City slipped up, we also did. It was just one of those years. Europe We got knocked out of the Champions League....but got to the Euro League final.....where we lost in a game we should've won. The Squad Similar squad to usual, perhaps I need to change it up a bit more. With some of the starting 11 getting to retirement age I will be forced to sooner rather than later. Random Note on Man Citys dominance They have sooo many good players. 5 of the top 10 valued players in the world are at City. I think (I didn't screenshot, I counter 12 in the top 30)

@SuperRedditch - I would take Macfarlane as a youth player in the Premier League and still have him rated as my top player of the intake - that is insane for that level. Hope you have him on an optional + 3 years

I came here to second this. Is the delay in promotion relegation not just for a year? Could it not be included as a 2024 implementation EG: First year no relegation/promotion, but second year it is introduced.

Mind linking the thread? You would hope/think that they would just delay it for the next few years. It is not like they are going to postpone it forever...
