Hi folks got a question, hopefully someone can answer. Does the wage budget take into account bonuses such as appearance fee's and goal bonuses? I've just started a new LLM save and my weekly budget is 25k and its maxed out but when I added all the wages together it came to 20.5k. 4.5k is a massive deficit when squad building in the lower league.

The issue is the frequency in which this happens within the game. Not that it actually happens because as you've pointed out, it happens IRL. The problem I have is how sporadic the xG per game is. Plus 4 one week and no goals, 0.25 the next with players such B.Silva, Foden and KDB looking pub team players. On paper the average is correct but in reality its frustrating and unrealistic, especially when managing a big team with elite forwards. This year it seems big teams have been nerfed and average teams are able to out play and out score them on a regular basis.

This is the story of my save so far since the beta. I'm worried now as apart from one or two high scoring games (which I considered realistic) I've always had high xG/low scoring games, or no goals at all. It's actually been very frustrating. Watching my team consistently waste chances.

Just started my 4th season with Man City and I've noticed that the board hasn't been organising training camps for pre-season. The one and only training camp I've had arranged was at the very beginning of the save in season 1. My backroom staff organise friendlies and as a result I find myself playing the likes of Peterhead and Leyton Orient, in previous years the U21's played these type of fixtures. I've also noticed I'm unable to arrange testimonials for players who've been at the club for 10 or more years and my assistant isn't arranging these either. I'm still on my beta save file so just wondering if it's a known issue and has since been sorted for new saves.

@Kyle Brown I've noticed City and United playing at home on the same day a lot too. Greater Manchester police would never sign off on that Just imagine the carnage. -

Just had a high potential keeper come through on my most recent youth intake. He's a home grown player and dual national eligible to play for either Slovakia or England, however he can't speak a word of English and requires a language course.

Set Piece Coach A.I needs improving

It's beyond a joke now. Can't score from set plays and have conceded a goal from a corner in close to 50% of my league matches. What are the set piece coaches for? -
3rd season with City. Up to now I've controlled the set plays and was successful and scoring and defending corners. I've since signed a very good set piece coach and decided to let the A.I take over to see if it could improve an already decent attacking/defensive play. Short answer... It can't. What is the point in set piece coaches? The A.I make some really weird decisions with both attacking and defending. Since I've let him take over we've conceded a goal in roughly a quatre of our games, surely a good coach would make us water tight at the back and dangerous up top. He's just made us worse and to top it off he has Rico Lewis (smallest man on earth) attacking the 6 yard box! It makes me wonder what other aspects of coaching aren't working as they should.

I have the opposite issue. High xG in most games and not scoring goals. Or only scoring one and conceding late on. Or no chances created at all. There's no consistency with the tactics. My first impressions of the ME was positive, but now I'm not so sure. I've got Haaland and 3 seasons in and he can't even hit the target, let alone score.

I think I need a break from this game. For my own mental wellbeing if nothing else. You could say that I'm "Jaded" and "in need of a rest". When the fun stops, STOP!

I'd like to add that these players at their current ability are only good enough for non league football. If I had a special player come through that could feature in the 1st team like a Rooney, Fabregas, Messi, Ronaldo, Haaland, KDB etc etc, then I could accept these wages demands. But currently they're years away from being ready to even being sent out on loan.

Playing as Man City. I posted a bug during the beta regarding youth players demanding ridiculous demands during contract negotiations. Players aged 15/16 are demanding 20k - 35k as a basic wage, when in reality a club IRL would only offer 10% of this salary until the player is proven their potential. The club should always be in the stronger position when negotiating with youth. Do they want to play for the club or not? For context Doku is on 40k basic (a £55 million player) and Rico Lewis starts on 25k basic. These players are genuine 1st team contenders, with Lewis labelled a wonderkid. These kind of contracts for youth players are just not realistic. Please look into tweaking this. I'll attach a save file for you to look at.

@Kyle Brown I'm playing on PC and I've also noticed random cpu spikes during processing. Normally it'll stay at 40-45 degrees put then spike upto 65 ish. It's not a major issue as it's well within operating range but I also have a Ryzen so wondering if its an issue with that particular cpu. It's probably the game processing normally but I can play games on ultra and the cpu rarely climbs above 60 so thought I'd mention it just in case there's a optimisation issue with the game. -
You should repost this as a bug on the bug report forum. It's one of many things that need looking at.

Yeah i agree it's an awful system. I talk about it in a review of the game. If you scroll up a bit you'll probably see the post. I'd be interested to see if you agree with my assessment of this year's set piece overhaul
