  1. I find that, this year, there is a good equilibrium between being a bit harder than previous years but not too hard that I would be bored of just losing. I think that if the game would become more realistic (and thus, harder) it would need some kind of difficulty option because for a lot of players that, like me, are more casual, it would simply be too much.
  2. Since you were obviously ignored, I'll take the liberty of answering myself. Because I think part of the players (or users here) have a very naive perception about what a company is and do. So, let's first base my argumentation into some indisputable truths: - SI is a company, and like every other company, the main goal is to make money and grow. Remember, if you lose 10 hardcore loyal players but get 100 new ones with the new product, it is a grown and a success. It would obviously prefer not to lose those 10, but still, grown and success. - FM23 is not an individual product, but part of a saga that needs to be maintained. Thus, the end goal is to be a step forward within the saga itself. - Although any FM is not a different product than its predecessor, you need to sell it. That means, you need to introduce new stuff, that you can announce and that you can use to attract players to each iteration. But, you also need to plan ahead for the next year. And the year after that. And so on. You will also need novelties in those years, changes that can be sold and that create the desire to get the new game in the player base. If we think about all that above, you can answer your question pretty easily on why all these stuff have not being touched in this iteration. It is not that SI does not know about them, obviously they do, you play the game for half a season, and you notice most of the stuff people complain here about often and, sometimes, year after year. It is not done because they studied it and concluded that it is not the right thing to do from a commercial point of view. Reasons are varied: - Resources optimization. Remember that we need novelties and shiny things to promote the game. Remember also that, even if the game is released yearly, part of the forces are divided updating the current game for about 6 months. - Tuning a little bit a broken module does not sell. Instead, leaving the module broken as it is if it can not be completely overhauled it does, because when the overhaul happens the difference is huge and can be announced as a big thing. Thus, it would be extremely easy to do small touches and slightly alleviate the experience the players have with the broken modules, but it is not done because it is not convenient. Not because SI is not aware of them, but because they decided the best thing to do, from the company perspective, it is not to touch it. That's why we haven't got simple things that would enrich the experience, like a list to sort players for set pieces, or a decrease in the likelihood of broken interaction with players happening. - Roadmap. I don't doubt, sooner or later, all those broken things are going to be overhauled. SI would decide when it is convenient and realistic to do so, based on manpower and commercial strategy. We can maybe agree or not with the commercial decisions that are taken, but nothing is done at random. So that's why, when you ask about those things, you get no answer: because the answer is not nice nor popular. SI knows better than anyone the problems with the game, SI decides what needs to be solved each year and what they can realistically do, SI build a roadmap based on expected sales and SI do not make small changes that mean nothing to the end goal of keep selling the saga for more years to come. And that's why you have all those tweets of self-congratulation and success, but silence when talking about the broken stuff that are ignored year after year. Not because of lack of knowledge, but because of commercial decisions. And this is not a critic, or a claim that we, as players, are nothing to the company, or anything like that. It is just a realistic look at this thread, the success of the game and the critics that we see year after year that appear to be ignored. I myself have been critic with the game before, and I thought I was not going to buy FM23 but, ultimately, I tried the demo and got the full game. And I honestly don't regret it. Because there is little doubt that the game is very good and the ME feels very good. That's why all those positive steam reviews and all those numbers that SI proudly announces. The saga advance at one step each year, which always feel smaller than the step before, and the little things that make the game annoying to most of us, are still there and will stay there, at least, until FM24. All decisions are taken from a commercial point of view, and it is extremely naive to think otherwise. If you buy the game year after year, you need either to accept the company vision about the game, or come here and get prepared to be ignored if you complain about anything that is not related with this year's iteration.
  3. Just here to say that I have observed lack of dribbling and cutting inside from my IW as well, even if he is the best player of my team (Fekir) he barely did anything in all matches. I changed my tactic because of that and placed 3 attacked midfielders in the center instead and now he is playing accordingly to his level. But in the moment I place him back as IW (where he generally plays in Betis) he does nothing. I also tried changing instructions and tactics around him to make it work, but didn't succeed, so ultimately I am stuck with 3 center attacking midfielders. I would very much appreciate some words of SI regarding this issue, if it can be solved and if it will be in any future patch.
  4. How old is he? I have not tried that in FM23 yet, but I think that in previous editions this was only easy if the player was young enough
  5. The fact that no matter which option you choose, the outcome is the same, it is extremely sad and reflects the status of the whole interaction system...
  6. This happens very often when your B-team is not in a league that is included in the game. It affects very negatively to the development of players, to the point that is better forget about it at all and just loan your good prospects. Edit: some people just fill the whole calendar with friendlies for the B-team.. but that's also not very positive because playing friendlies is not as good for development as playing a league
  7. Well it ultimately also results in low moral, but I didn't mean concretely that. Players would react less positively to team talks for example, or when they don't agree with something you did it will be harder for you to calm them down. Like, a player ask for being sold and you say no, and suddenly half team is mad at you. If the team respects and likes you, you can usually handle that situation saying that the team would be weaker without him and so on... but if they don't like you or don't respect you enough, they will stay mad, also resulting in low morale. It is not like it would not happen with a good reputation manager, but in my experience is much less likely. But if you start in a very low division and get up from there, also does your reputation and the players start to behave much better in these situations, so you do not need a high reputation manager to manage a low reputation squad.
  8. If you create your manager with low reputation and low level license: - You have less attribute points to distribute to your character. - Players won't respect you, and interactions with them, which already are a nightmare in the game, become even worse. This gets to infinitive if you try to manage a big club, which kind of makes sense in that case. The best is to adapt a bit both things to the kind of teams you want to manage, but I always buff it a bit so I deal with less problems with the players, which more often than not can't be solved in a logical way.
  9. Hi all, I propose a similar thread to the old one linked here. Many of us have complained in multiple occasions about the lack of variety and general state of stadiums in the current and previous FMs, complaints that sadly have been unheard for years. However, there are still some stadiums that look good/different/interesting. I propose that we compile here nice screenshots and information about the team of those stadiums. It might even help someone to start a save (maybe me :D). So if you find some nice examples, please share them here!
  10. Sorry for double posting. I've seen in that same thread this: somebody knows if similar modifications are still a possibility?
  11. In this thread, there are some examples of the best stadiums for FM21, but I'll be surprised in they are still not exactly the same in FM23 so probably this is still usable. In some of them you can see hills and trees in the surroundings. I just let it here in case somebody wants to check how those stadiums are defined in the editor and try to replicate and get a less industrial standless/near standless stadium for your team. Oh and if you can do it, please share
  12. Hi, could you point me to your skin? or the name of it?
  13. I don't think it was a good idea to remove it. I know it was removed back in FM21, but I used to use the bar a lot before that edition. There is no logical reason for me to have to click the buttons up there 10 times until I find the piece I want to see, instead of just scrolling through the bar that was always there. At the very least, give the option to have it visible or not, so that we players choose whether we want it or not. It's a very minor thing that makes the experience immensely easier, and I imagine it wouldn't be a big deal to bring it back. I have some friends who also play the game, and we make sessions together, and we were all very surprised and molested when this was first removed, and we still miss it a lot. Thanks for listening
  14. That's fine, but why removing it? If you don't want to see it, you should have the option to hide it. But why removing something useful that was in the game? Just give players the options to customize their experience and everyone would be happy
  15. Seriously, why can't I have the time bar there like it always was, and instead have to click back and forth those buttons? Can someone enlighten me as to why this was removed and why on earth anyone thinks it was a good idea to remove it? And I know this was changed back in FM21, but still... just put it back. Changes should be made to enrich or facilitate the experience, and this removal only produces the contrary.
  16. I can't believe what we had 6 years ago and what we have now... They are uniform green now, yes. I also can't understand why that was downgraded and why it hasn't been improved in 6 years.
  19. This, a thousand times this. Give the community the tools and the outcome would be great, not only for players but for the company as well. I am sure it would attract more people to see realistic stadiums in the gameplays, as it does with the facepacks or skins.
  20. This used to happen to me in FM21 with the skin I was using and not with the default one. Maybe is that?
  21. I got lost in this discussion. Asking for a short summary, is this still an issue? Was it solved? It only happens if you load very few leagues?
  22. I always want to do a journeyman but never actually do it... just because I get too attached to the club and the players. Do you have any advices to avoid that? Also, I think a journeyman is cool if you play a lot of seasons and I play veeery slow... I played 400 hours in FM21 and it was all 10 seasons in a single club.
  23. Honestly I have never changed my tactic depending on if I play home or away in any FM, and I have never noticed that my results are significantly worse when playing away.
  24. Hi, I don't think that, overall, the attributes of players in Betis reflect the reality. In the game, the press prediction is 8th in league, whereas right now they are 4th and indeed nobody expects then to not be at least in the first 6. This actually reflects that players are not fully properly translated to the game. I think these players attributes hasn't been properly updated with their current performance, and some seems to be a reflect of what the players were years ago. Just a couple of examples: - William Carvalho: if I understand the attribute "flair" properly, his value makes 0 sense. He is extremely talented and surprising with the ball, much more than it seems when you first a big, strong slow guy like him. Just google his goals last season, even though he is obviously not a goal scorer. - Aitor Ruibal: this player is currently very important in the team, and had a huge improvement in the last couple of seasons specially because of his mentality, work rate and strength. He is this kind of players that is not extremely good in anything but good enough in everything. Although his work rate is not low (work rate = 14), I feel that he is one of those few players in the league that should have ~18 in that attribute, something like Espino in Cadiz. I don't know about his hidden attributes but it also should reflect the kind of player that he is, always giving 100% never surrendering and extremely consistent. - Alex Moreno: since a couple of seasons, one of the best full backs of the league. Just look at his stats and performance. His attributes don't reflect that. Not all I ask are positive changes though: - William Jose: I think part of his mentals should decrease, specially work rate. - Loren: Also overrated, since a couple of seasons he is a shadow of what he was. But overall, what I mean is that I think the team feels outdated and a revision should be made.
  25. Where can I give feedback about specific teams and player attributes?
