  1. Player Development. Has this been nerfed this year? Seeing very little improvement in players with plenty of room for growth. Ok, I see some growth. But it's miniscule growth. Wonderkids that don't feel as if they are going to even get close to reaching their potential. I don't expect to see my 18 year old Striker suddenly blossoming to Erling Haaland style attributes, but at the same time I don't want him to look like a 34 year old on the decline. I'd like to see some steady growth but at the rate I'm seeing attributes rise it would be more fun watching paint dry.
  2. Not felt like wanting to play much prior to the patch landing. I had completed just 2 seasons of my annual long term save prior to Yesterday (Other than 2 short term saves I usually use to test tactics, and gauge players (Buying/Selling/How well they perform etc) First impressions: I like it a lot. In my tiki taka no striker tactic I imported from FM21 I am seeing better interchanging of passes, player movement (Especially the front 3 - 2AM and 1SS). Processing is good when not playing a match, But randomly during games I get a slight lag/pause before taking a corner/freekick/making subs and at times the game sorta freezes/goes into slow motion but at a good speed if that makes any sense but this is completely random and could be at times when graphics card is at it's peak core useage? Onto Yellow cards. It looks like these have been toned down a lot. Can anyone else confirm if this is true for them too? S.I ... I Applaud all the staff that have taken the time out to respond in this thread. For the greater transparency between the Devs/SI Staff and us Users. Honesty is always the best policy and after the tumultuous launch of the game to see you all be open, honest and responsive towards the issues that have been mentioned is brilliant. And I hope this is how it is going forward. Not only for this release, but for future launches. I'd like to add - Zero issues when installing despite having one skin in my folder and a few 'Views' in their respective folders. Also not noticing no difference with regards to graphics other than the aforementioned minor lag/pause and the weird slow motion.
  3. Get with man marking opposition wingers and the striker. Grind the wins. I managed to finish 3rd in my 1st season in Premier League with Cardiff with the first version of this (Not updated set pieces). And pretty sure that my team was on average 120-140 CA at max.
  4. My go to choice every year is always Cardiff City. Same as usual again this year. However, Prior to starting I cleaned out majority of the U21 and U18 squads as I tend to release them all anyway, this way saves me time and some valuable money as we are approx £65-70m in overall debt (Which seems a little high compared to previous years although it looks in the editor like one of the historical debts was restructured last year sometime) Squad wise: Cardiff start with an almost whole new squad This year. GK: Alsopp & Alnwick - 2 decent keepers for this level. But not when getting to premier league Defenders: Simpson, Nelson, Bagan, Ng, Sang, Romeo, Daley-Campbell, Collins (long term injury) as well as loanees Kipre and Nkounkou. And Mark McGuinness out on loan. Mid: Ralls, Wintle, Rinomhota, Sawyers, Colwill (Underrated by S.I and researchers) as well as wingers Ojo, O'dowda and Philogene Bidace on loan. Att: Etete, Harris, Robinson and Watters Decent enough depth, but short in quality overall. U21 and U18 aren't that great. Majority are League 2 or below standard. Core of the team = Alsopp, Kipre, Bagan, Ng, Ralls, Wintle, Colwill, Etete, Robinson. Transfers in: Cole Palmer on loan. Loan also agreed for Moukoko loan in January. Quite surprised he agreed to come to Championship but I won't complain Tactic is a very attacking 4-2-3-1 Narrow with 3 AM supplementing the lone striker. P7 W5 D1 L1 F28 A8 - The loss was against West Brom when down to 10 men and they scrambled a last minute winner. 1-1 draw away at Bristol City they scored via a punt over my backline whilst my defenders stood star gazing Attacking wise we are devastating when on it. When not at the races we lack a little bit of a bite whilst also looking susceptible on the counter. Top scorer so far is Robinson who has 11 in 9 games in League and Cup. Although we probably won't make it past the next round of Carabao as we've been drawn away against Liverpool
  5. Last 2 test saves I've had with teams other than the mighty Reds they have purchased him both times. He's a Klopp type of player. Not had any experience of using him though sorry.
  6. Veliz likely so.. Although not quite as rounded as your version. Still looks decent enough
  7. KION ETETE Ignore his value. He started with me.. 17 jumping, 16 heading, 16 strength. Scoring goals in the premier league and Europa League. I'd say if Cardiff don't use him on your games you could probably snap him up for a million or 2.
  8. @Parmie Target for you.. Kion Etete - Cardiff - Currently has 17 jumping reach 16 heading. But is quite a beast. Don't know how much Cardiff actually use him on your game, but if you get a chance snap him up. Here he is for me right now. Lower prem/Top championship player. Proven to be a very good asset when chasing a game for me.
  9. Mine aren't that great.. Not against the Elite sides, against others they do a good enough job. Also doesn't help that my first choice keeper is out for 4 months after being injured by one of my DM's in training, so relying upon a 30 year old Keeper that is technically a top half of league one quality. He's my 3rd choice behind a 16 year old yth prospect who is also injured.
  10. Absolute carnage. My team is very young. 3 players age 27 or older. Rest are between 18-24. Majority of them average CA of around 120-140 max. Toe to Toe with the current premier league holders and what an absolute belter of a game. If only it was possible to defend on this years M.E
  11. At times it's a joy to watch. Some of the passing and movement is beautiful. Then I start to wonder if my team had been abducted by aliens. Going from prime Barca with some of the passing, To watching them look like a sunday pub team. I've stripped it right back to bare basics for now. If I can't get it going again I'll be going and checking the mentality out on the Kopfan edit from FM22 to see if that works
  12. No mate, Not tried to tinker with mentality on it yet.. Been too busy tinkering with a formation I like the look of. Worked great in the Championship, Even managed to win FA Cup, League cup using it. But now in 2nd season in Prem and even after beating an almost full strength Man City (minus Ederson) in the community shield I am struggling with it. This is what I've been trying to get going.. Sometimes the attacking play is sheer brilliance, other times utterly frustrating with the amount of shots I can take and not score.
  13. Wrexham would make a perfect 'Build a club' AFC Hollywood Stadium 'Hollywood Bowl' Try and find players with names that are either movie stars or names of characters in movies..
  14. Nope. My Rivals are Swansea, Bristol City and to a minor extent Leeds Utd. I think I'll start charging every other club a premium on top for any of my Important players they keep attempting to purchase on the cheap! Luckily for me, their paltry bids didn't unsettle my players.
  15. Please for the love of god can you sort out transfers. Time and time again I bid on Transfer listed players. E.g Mason Holgate was listed at 975k. Bid for him as need numbers in defence and he's homegrown. 500k upfront, 575k payable next summer. Price suddenly increases on AI side to 2.75m. And this happens quite often, listed at price X for ages and no one wants said player. Suddenly one interested party and price increases to 2 or 3x the original transfer listed price. In the meantime AI will continue to lowball your star players who have 3 years left on their contract. As seen in screenshot below. Player Valued at £69-88m. Their opening offer was £10 upfront, £10 in various daft addons such as winning league, Champions league, FA Cup etc. Not even anything in installments. Offer rejected instantly, Now into offer number 5 £28m cash, 2 x 12 monthly payments 3 hours left in the window. A.I = Artificial intelligence. Not much intelligence when it comes to these idiotic bids.
  16. Is someone doing this thread again for FM23? I loved reading and following some of the glorious journeys in here
  17. I've not had much experience of trying to get players to renew that have declared they want to explore their options. The ones I have had say that I've not been interested in renewing contracts with. However I have seen a couple of examples of players saying they will explore their options, but then accept offers from the club they are at all. 2 of those were insistent on a release clause.
  18. 850k from Man City.. Fairly determined. Some decent mentals and Technicals. Perfect for Low to Mid prem teams. Be a bargain for other leagues. Seems to have some room for improvement too.
  19. When you get a chance could you take a look at this one fella. This was my Edit I did of one of last years Kashmir tactics. Don't remember what version though Kopfan433_V1.fmf
  20. I Managed to get him to sign an extension first season with small reduction to wage, Also got Keita, Ox, Milner and Thiago on slightly reduced terms too. Then sold Firmino to Madrid for £29m end of season 1.. Can't shift Keita or Ox. Milner is fringe player, but Thiago I'm keeping as he's stayed pretty much injury free so far.
  21. Ooh I say.. That's pleased me. No more losing Mo to Afcon or internationals. Cheers Mo!
  22. Anyone have contract issues with the primadonna that is Ibrahima Konate? He's on 70k p.w. Wants a new contract, So I think fair enough. Go to negotiate with Agent, Who says 190-225k. So I tell the agent get lost that's too much, lower your demands. So he comes back with 180-220k. Try offering a contract and he won't go lower than 225k which I just ain't paying
  23. Injuries, Homesickness and the fact that it's a bigger jump than expected from U18 to the U23 or as it is now U21.. He's got time, fingers crossed. As when that kid is in full flight he's a wonderful looking player.
