  1. Shaw had to start really. Couldn't take him to tournament and not start him come final. Be interesting to see if he can last beyond HT.
  2. Relaxed. We’ve been below average for most of this tournament and should go into the slight underdogs. Different to last time, where it was first final in our life time, at home, and just felt we had to win it.
  3. Surely got to get the job done this time. Kane / Foden / Saka / Bellingham. All more years experienced, this is what we’ve been waiting for. Just need two of them to turn up with their A game and we get it done, surely?
  4. I think Morata has been really good for Spain. His hold up play has been great and allowed Spain an outlet when under pressure. Feels he’s offered a lot more to Spain in their play than Kane has, rest I agree with.
  5. I don't think we will, and if we did, it would be the odd one where depth is that strong they can be dropped and waved good bye. The culture within clubs now is so different to the 2000s, it's helped reduced that. Mainoo/Saka/Foden all play for rivals, all will chill each other because the cultures of the clubs these days.
  6. Next World Cup will be hard regardless who is manager, need some luck in the draw because the hot temperatures never do us any good. Having an idea and philosophy heading to Euro28 will be what that's used for. Going to have a new wave of kids ready to play attacking football in these next 2 years.
  7. It didn't sound like the squad did at the start of this tournament, but winning games and getting into the final pushes that to one side. Win or lose, he needs to step down. Team needs a new direction for the next 2 cycles leading up to the home Euros, and best go with someone with new ideas.
  8. He’s got the footballing maturity of someone much older, in terms of the those little bits of play to get space. Reminds me of Bruno G in his game, and that’s the sort of player I could see him developing into. Where he’s equally good playing the deep CM role or in an advanced CM role.
  9. Rashford though. Whilst he was predominately a LW, he was the additional 3rd striker if needed. Without him, it freed up option to go with a 3rd out and out striker, or get an extra CM/Defender.
  10. Nothing won’t change personnel wise, but player position/play wise it does. Thinking about the way we played that game last night more this morning, it feels it was with a plan to do same against Spain, with how the players were. Bellingham was poor, but he made those runs down the inside left, and that’s the space against Spain. Spain weakness has been runs through the centre wide areas, and whilst we won’t suddenly start a Gordon, Bellingham will need to do it. Mainoo a bit more deeper, with Bellingham pushed on more is the two slight tweaks I would like to see. Think we saw last night, with Foden in that Central/Right area, helps the side a lot more with the ball going forward, then Bellingham there and Foden on the left.
  11. I’m all in on the hype now after a few morning coffees. Players going out there with freedom to put 2021 to the back of the memories, blistering display, 3-1 win. Jubilant scenes when Dunk/Wharton come on for final 2 minutes
  12. Nothing needs changing, just needs a one off game where you tell (ideally Mainoo) to sit deeper so there’s more protection. Because when Rice presses as we did in first 10, the likes of Bellingham/Mainoo/Foden are already beyond him so if it’s bypassed which it’s easily done, there was loads of space. Ideally, wouldn’t want Olmo getting it in that area and turning with their wingers. Probably also needs Stones/Geuhi to be aggressive constantly and push into that space when we do press. Key will be just not letting Rodri dictate the game, rather sacrifice other areas if it meant he’s kept quiet, because IMO, that then turns the game into a bit of back and forth, where I fancy us more, instead of letting Spain probe and dictate tempo.
  13. First time yesterday where the system worked well, till Holland made the changes at half time and it went back to normal. But having nothing on the left all tournament is some plan I still don’t understand, but it’s got to the final. Yesterday it was Jude outwide. Not like Shaw changed it bar that one ball into the box, so seems a concerted effort to focus play on the centre right. Carjaval v Bellingham could be jokes for the dark arts.
  14. On foreign soil, so just counts for me, even if it’s an average injury ridden Dutch side.
  15. The day when the stop clock comes in would be scenes. Definition of a buzzer winning shot
