Will start with Arsenal. Had a really good save last year that was only half a year cos laptop irrecoverably died so had to replace and start again, so would like to have a long term with them and beat my 14 season record. If, however, I get bored, I’m going to do a save in Germany with either HSV, Hertha or 1860 Munich.

It is graphically very good (I have it on Series X). The problem for me is that to go through a race weekend takes approx 90 mins. So doing one is a time commitment. It’s not like FM where you can pick it up, play a 10ish minute match and put it down again. That’s why I’ve not played F1M for a couple of weeks. Motorsport manager came out in 2016, but the gameplay is extremely similar. Not sure how much of that I’d consider competition, in my opinion MM just showed there was enough demand for a decent racing management game for someone to get a licence to do one for F1. The big advantage that MM has for me though is races are over much quicker.

We’ve had a late beta release before. And they had all the “normal” build up, so I don’t think the two are related. The beta provides them a lot of genuinely helpful feedback to try and fix as much stuff as possible before full release so it’s in their interest to get it out as early as possible. I'm not too worried personally. BETA will be out once they can get it out. They won't delay it just because they haven't done a stream.

I plan on giving him a new 5 year contract on day one. Which I guess is the same sort of thing.

I think it's around now. Major changes like manager's being sacked and hired will still make it in, but most of the attributes will be in place. They do make some allowances for early season performances though iirc.

I'm happy with the new features. I like the idea of squad planner, and I like how it links to recruitment meetings. I like that recruitment meetings have been redone. I like the fan confidence thing (even if this is primarily a reskin of half of board confidence) It's evolution, not revolution. If people want to neg out about the new game, there's already a thread for that. This thread is for BETA speculation... and all of the GIFs. EDIT: I'm not accusing anyone here of negging out. Just want to keep this sacred thread a safe space.
