  1. At first glance, sounds like each team has the division selected somewhere unneeded, like in "secondary division" as well as main division. Or post the file and someone can look
  2. No, too hard to add teams to MLS with drafts, affiliations etc without breaking it all
  3. Just had to drop the USL-C salary cap entirely, which used to work... not sure if it's interacting with the minimum full-time player limit in some weird way since the update and I can experiment with that (edit: no, salary cap doesn't work anyway), but it's working now without the hard cap. Also added Carolina Core to the MLSNP and made the Open Cup format in the second season (and onward) accurate for 2024. Added a bunch of competition records too, might start adding some club records for even more immersion, but it's definitely ready to play Also played with scheduling in leagues like MLSNP, NISA, USL2 etc so that you (mostly) play teams in your region more than others, but with some variation year-on-year
  4. I made one like that as a one-off, you could change the "end" year and play with it to your liking:
  5. Should I try and get the Open Cup to exclude a bunch of MLS teams like in real life? I kept them in last time I was working on this for a few reasons It looked really hard, I still don't like the idea of them sitting out, The default MLS was built to accommodate it in the fixture calendar so there's room for it Any thoughts? I guess it could open up more room to rest players and maybe have MLS stop playing on international breaks EDIT: think I got it working in 2024 (second season) the same way as IRL with MLS and MLS Next Pro teams. One less trophy to play for if you're regularly qualifying for the Champions Cup and thereby excluded from the Open Cup, but realism is the goal here
  6. Might keep Chattanooga in NISA for now, it doesn't look like SI added the NISA expansion teams so this can keep it at a clean 9 teams in the 2023 format. Carolina definitely need a home though, even if it's gonna take me all afternoon to try and remember how I even set up the MLSNP fixtures and squeeze them in
  7. Fixed. New version up now, @Charles1970 @CluHaywood. Sorry for the delay, the April update seemed to have messed with the salary cap in USL-C in weird ways, so I've dropped it now (it was an agreement with the players' union in real life, but the AI will be unlikely to go above that number anyway). @RampageScience suggested it as an issue earlier but I completely missed it, odd that USL-1 was handling it fine, although I've dropped it there too just in case. Will work on Carolina/Chattanooga in MLSNP this weekend @Tigerman500, did they add any other new rosters in the April update that I haven't accounted for yet? Will also try to add missing stuff like competition records
  8. Not as far as I know, I've tried enabling a bunch of the settings like that look like they should encourage teams to loan players more, including in the affiliation itself, but you know how terrible AI is at squad management. Same with how the MLS coaches won't constantly loan guys from their '2" team in and out of the first team depending on roster needs, like MLS clubs do in real life
  9. Gonna try and fix the bug/update leagues this month if I can get a hold of the USL-C issue
  10. Nice! What cities? Sydney, Chicago, Toronto, Hamilton maybe?
  11. Anyone know how to get the hosting to say "multiple nations" or whatever Euro 2020 said? I believe the default is still limited to two co-hosting nations so the Euro 2028 stadiums could be set but it wouldn't look perfect
  12. Sounds like an offset date or something that's still set to "home" by default and is overriding everything... either in the round itself, or in the list of fixture dates. The "stadiums for fixture" would correspond with using stadium_0, stadium_1, etc, if I recall right
  13. I sometimes noticed an extra Kiwi team coming up in FM23, when NZ was inactive. I figured the game has some formula for cup winner and top two teams or something, but in rare cases that throws up 3 unique teams instead of 2. Something similar could be happening in another inactive country, like it produces a Solomons cup winner even though it's not played, and if that team isn't already included in the top 2 teams it's calling from the Solomons League it gets confused and just takes all 3
  14. Crimea were weird in FM23, not sure you could click on them. I preferred Czechoslovakia but not sure about newgens (at least they should have a surname from the new country instead of an Irish or Russian/Ukrainian namepool?) Be interesting to see if Crimea do anything now - they were put in the game as a sort of holder for the Crimean League teams, but a few have actually switched to the Russian league system in 2024 and the game actually recognized that. Have you combined all the Caribbean teams (or at least the same countries as the Cricket team) into one nation? How do they do internationally? Guessing Nations League and club comps were a mess but that can be fixed. Let's say the 10-15 newgens you got were born on cruise ships and got one of these
  15. Hmm yeah both the Euro U21s and the Olympics have "additional helpers" as well, maybe try scrapping those and see if England can qualify, but it could break something else too
  16. You could do it with a hidden stage that assigns the fixtures to the main (visible) legaue stage. 4 groups of 5, you play the other groups for two rounds each and your groupmates once
  17. There's gotta be something in the Euro U21 rules to assign a qualifying fate to the Olympics (every 2 editions, so every 4 years) but that it specifically excludes England. Sounds like you can't find anything about excluding England in the Olympic rules themselves, so I'd guess you have to edit the Euro U21 qualifying fates?
  18. At one point england u23 would default to team GB, in the older games. Try either that GB unused nation, or the "United Kingdom" one and see what happens (might have to give them a continent with the resource archiver)
  19. Once I had the rules open in a nation's rules, I deleted everything else from the "list" (i.e. the tournaments from that nation) and copied the remaining "list" (just the CWC). I then opened a file that had club continental rules added (not for any specific continent) and pasted the list over it. I then manually re-added the club continental rules entry that had been written over as part of the paste. Does that make sense? Can probably explain it better when I'm at home and have it in front of me
  20. Yeah but it should still be able to figure it out itself, I know I always rail against that stage finished action (usually a band-aid for a problem elsewhere). But yeah maybe this calls for it. My only guess is an early round isn't played in the first season (does the game call certain Caribbean or Central American those teams with "registered teams" or whatever in the first year based on who qualified in real life?) and it messes up the way it hands out rankings. Post the file maybe?
  21. Can you add entry under "stadium pool" and just leave it as the default (sort by capacity)? Or if you're using "stadiums for fixture", add a list of 8 stadiums (or however many you're using with your calendar you created) from "stadium_0" through "stadium_7"? Might trick it into thinking there's a list there and show it the same way in-game
