  1. Generally I think that's meant for weird playouts and substages that confuse the game, ranking levels should be enough for the game to figure it out in most circumstances. I wonder if those extra steps to add winners mean the AI/Board won't always recognize how you're performing in the tournament for expectations/job status, along with news items?
  2. Literally go to every other country in the world (or at least those you'll have as active leagues) and set transfer preferences for Scotland with the correct age
  3. Another user @BinAqool has let me know about some of the roster rules I couldn't find, I'll release an updated version in a couple of days when I'm back at my computer
  4. Likely the same as yours, lol, you should post up your updated version of the file, I bet it will be more detailed and based on actual testing than anything I can come up with. Mostly been playing with my San Marino and Gulf Arab leagues so far. So feel free to start a long termer
  5. I wonder if you there are enough coordinates and cities set for each ground if it would "know" to move them to a nearby one? But it shouldn't need to most of the time anyway The history issue people are reporting might be due to clearing the cache or hall of fame or something like that between careers? Or if it's editor related it could be due to reloading after deleting changes? But it sounds more like they might be running multiple versions of the file by mistake
  6. 50-100 or so would be realistic for almost any outdoor ground, even a public park
  7. Multiple senior teams share the same youth club? Wonder how it works with regens, i.e. who gets them and whose staff ratings matter
  8. I believe it's non-contract/pay as you play at that level, functionally they act like semi-pro (train twice a week after work etc) but it better reflects the finances down there and keeps you from going broke
  9. Anything like that requires you to go in and change England's division rules. Plus you've seen how tight scheduling is, adding four matchdays is a pain. Simply swapping teams out is much easier, even if you have to do it all the way to a few more divisions down - although only going as far as 1 or 2 below the lowest playable division doesn't break anything.
  10. Yeah, just think of a DB as a list of changes, at career start the game goes down the list of changes and applies them all. So if you've changed, say, Man Utd's long name in two different files, it will apply each change on its way down the list of files alphabetically, and obviously the latter one will show. If you've changed their short name in the first file only, that change will still show because nothing's overwritten it.
  11. Do they fit into one in the second season? If so I must have decided not to mess with things, but it would be worth giving them some friendlies or something. What other change did you make to the fixture rules? I'll have to release an updated version at some point. Been mostly focusing on my created leagues, this was a fun project to see how the game reacted to the changes though.
  12. I was tempted to run some tests and see how many he'd score. I wonder if SI will nerf him a bit in the next update, if so then now's the time to try and set some scoring records
  13. I'm gonna be away from my laptop for most of the holidays (unless the winter storms ground all the flights here), and I can see the Crissy Ronaldo rumours are heating up, so have an early Christmas present: Ronaldo at Al-Nassr Ronaldo joins Jan. 1 (EDIT: LINKS REMOVED, LINK IN OP UPDATED) Pick one of the two files depending when you want him to join (the backups are just non-Steam links). He's on the max wage the game will allow - a million quid per week with some guesstimated bonuses. Like the Marca article speculates, they decline to register the old no. 7 Masharipov to accommodate CR7:
  14. Setting up qualifying in the conferences themselves will likely act better in-game too. This may be way too editor-speak to make sense, but then the game (and your Board) will "know" you're on course to qualify for that postseason comp and treat things accordingly (including Board confidence). Just asking it to get league stage teams might not have the same effect (at least not until the regular season is over)
  15. Assume this is for the NFL division? Load everyone "based in" America when you start the game. Otherwise sounds like their rep isn't high enough to come loaded in the small, medium, or large database you're running
  16. FYI In case you didn't have enough on your plate next year, lol. Can I ask what led you to make another DB compared to Robles? More/less detail? Do you think one is better for a more streamlined experience with only the top division or two, and one is better for a lower league experience, or are there other differences?
  17. Cheers, I just touched up the Middle East files when I noticed one or two of the domestic cups were scheduling in the same weeks as ACL/these tournaments, obviously not gamebreaking as the game finds room to reschedule. But the most recently uploaded UAE/Qatar/Saudi files from a couple of nights ago are even cleaner for scheduling, especially next season in Qatar with the odd number of teams. Let us know how you get on with it, it's fun seeing teams lose in the Champions League prelims and "drop down" into one of these cups, keeps the competition at a decent level (especially the North African teams) and gives you something to do while you're still climbing up the table with a smaller team
  18. Could try bumping media expectations and supporter expectations. Chairman might have career plans or loyalty or something you can adjust
  19. The default leagues have fixtures coded somewhere other than the editor. In general scheduling is a mess this year, to get it to work the way you want, you literally have to set "break periods" for every single Monday to Friday if you want games only on weekends (even if you have 38 specific dates set it seems to ignore them if it finds a suitable gameday early in the season). You can set 38 matchdays (or however many you want) that way and leave some of the break periods as "allowing postponements" to make up for games that are bumped for cups, internationals etc
  20. I wonder if there's something hard-coded from the way they used the 'B' team in Scotland... is there anything in the profile for the B team itself (like "maximum age" on the club info in the editor)? Or in the affiliation? I'll try to figure out a solution
  21. Brilliant. I think it was older versions (c. FM18) where that box didn't exist and it just defaulted certain custom tournaments outside of FIFA windows to being domestic-only
  22. Yeah I don't see why not. Mass edit should still register as a change. You could backspace one letter, tab out so it registers the change (might take ages depending on your laptop), and then add that letter again
  23. Usually you're changing the long name anyway when you've duplicated it, so the game registers a change. But if the short name is a basic one like "goal of the month" and you duplicate it for another competition but don't actually make any changes to the short name, that's when it shows up as blank sometimes (literally just needs to register a change after the duplication is made, even if its changing one letter and then changing it back)
