  1. I'd like to keep Qatari clubs' attendances low, as they tend to improve over a few seasons to recognize what the game thinks is a high-rep league with high-rep players (which it is, it's just that nobody goes), This doesn't seem limited by max attendance or passion/loyalty in "supporter profile". Do other factors weigh in here? Are "game importance" and "developed state" only relevant to youth intakes?
  2. With that AI registration issue being fixed, I'm been brainstorming workarounds for the Arab rule. Non-EU/non-foreign squad rules can have "conditions" like "include players domestic to competition", but I haven't got it to correct that weird glitch were a country can't be "EU" to itself. Feel free to experiment and post your results. There's gotta be something with having everyone non-Arab as EU to Qatar, but my brain has hit a wall. Let me know if anyone has thoughts. Can't decide which I prefer.
  3. Can't you do up to a 1000 year rotation? Suggested this in another thread but why not set it at the year 2018 with an 120 year rotation? Obviously won't run in 2018 but will run in 2138
  4. Under each team's database entry (not rules) have you got, under the "reserves" tab, the U19s team enabled? Not just at the bottom but at the top there too? I'm not at my laptop right now just brainstorming edit: for the cup can you post the file? I can take a look tonight or tomorrow. Also "fixed draw" is for cup tie mapping and is inconsistent with seeded draw as far as I know, not that it's the issue here
  5. Game is enforcing the UEFA block on Spain-Gibraltar fixtures a little too closely
  6. That's it. Try a manual start and end date
  7. Sorry was mixed up for a second. What about like 2018 with a 90 year rotation? So it would only show up in 2108? Not sure if that would work
  8. OK that fixed it. Sorry @twister, thanks for bringing it to my attention. AI still struggles hard with roster rules mind you, signing too many foreigners (including Claudio Bravo even though they can't register a foreign goalkeeper). I'm gonna drop the foreign GK rule in the top tier because the only regs I could find were up to last season anyway. We can imagine they've stopped prioritizing home-grown players as much with the World Cup finally here
  9. are they loaded up under "competitions" under "costa rica" in advanced rules? Also you might just wanna manually specify start and end dates. Telling it to use the First division like that needs fixture dates IDs attached to it, but if you're not using those for the first division don't bother there
  10. Oh weird, sorry about that. I'm looking at a save from November 14, 2023 and they're registering players but not all of them. I'm gonna troubleshoot it now and if no solution, I'll change it to matchday rules for foreigners later tonight instead of registering a 28-man squad. I realize that's scant consolation if you've already completed a season, thanks for letting me know though. edit: It's a glitch with squad registration periods. @V50 logged the bug where it's a problem with basic rules too. I'm just trying now to see if they work better by manually setting the registration periods instead of relying on the transfer windows
  11. I'm not sure those are recognized in-game, I think you still have to set the "date" in other places as, like, the first Monday after blah blah. Although some of the lunar holidays aren't capable of being set like that. Then it's just a label you can call in via TV dates etc. I could be wrong Try 2098 with an offset date?
  12. Interesting, I don't know if division level is doing anything tbh, could be your other changes. But who knows. For all the offset dates it might not need to be that complex as long as a "specific stadium" is set for each offset date and there are no stadium clashes, but if it works, don't touch it. Lol. Agreed, changing "stadium rules" for big tournaments doesn't seem to always work. Hosting is weird too. Maybe you can change it in the editor to "flexible format rules"? I can't remember how I was able to change the Copa America host rotation that way in FM18
  13. Just finished WAFU Nations (for West African 'B' teams) and the Indian Ocean Games. That's it for senior age tourneys, next up will be the African Games and the various U20s (easy enough). Asia has a few missing as well, and the ABCS and Baltic Cups are still being played despite Nations Leagues taking over, those will come soon. It will be nice to have international distractions to do a Hervé Renard-style journeyman career in between club jobs
  14. Can we have a version with away goals re-activated? I'm sure it's a simple fix I can do myself mind you. Nice to go full pre-2018 or so
  15. Updated OP with CECAFA Cup added, working on the U20 versions now. Make sure to load "all international players" from southern and eastern Africa. I'll try and finish the remaining regional comps in Asia and Europe with the same level of detail and harmonized with the game's international calendar. More screenshots:
  16. Hmm, all I can think is the stadium's occupied and it's rescheduling for the next day at the default time of 20:00 or something. I think you just need 2.5 hours between kickoffs. Group games can all be set using offset dates the same way, which it sounds like you're already doing. You'll have to use "individual group rules" and set them differently for each group obviously Anyway sometimes the game gets confused if there's a league team who plays home games there too, even if they're not actually loaded in the game. Stadium clashes are annoying af
  17. Pre-game editor shouldn't affect any previously saved games, but yeah, that's a bummer
  18. I noticed that the game has the AFCON in summer 2023 (IRL it's been moved to January 2024) and then moves back to January. edit: either they fixed this in 23.2 or I was mistaken, it's in the summer from 2025 onward as well
  19. Bug is logged, they don't really bother with internationals though. Is it still bugged where players won't regain match fitness between games if they're on holiday in their club season? I *think* Qatar 2022 has "specific stadia" set (can't see that though). So maybe it's a separate template and possible to duplicate it and have the default stuff kick in 4 years later. I guess if we're doing any big nation-building projects we'll have to rebuild it all anyway
  20. I assume you're the reason the old NASL franchises had so many details already filled out in the editor, lol, thought it was time to bring them to life! Nice to have the Cosmos and the Aztecs facing off
  21. Brilliant. To get them consistently playing the upper fixture (of the two offset dates) I *think* you can use the stage flag/other stage flag of "don't randomize teams when scheduling" or something like that and have them as the top seed/first drawn. This might need testing. But I think it's a way to get your host playing the opening game, playing at Stadium 0 every matchday while the other group game is at a smaller stadium, stuff like that
  22. Cymru/Alba 2026 sounds cool! You can use seedings and team order too to make sure Scotland or Wales are A1 and play the opening game at MIllennium or Hampden as well, with the other team in Group D or whatever with a mostly at-home path to the final
  23. That's the ticket. Offset dates seem the most reliable. You can also use "ask competition neutral (exclude home)" and it will pick from the stadium pool as well. But looks like you're on track!
  24. Teams are also just drawn in the order they're listed if there are no other variables at play. So make sure to uncheck "randomize teams", "reverse order of teams in this list" etc. Don't "sort teams" by anything. Then under group draw rules, remove them all, so no seeded draw etc
  25. Even then I think there are hard-coded rules about wages and rep. Or at least AI won't play by the same rules all the time. In my 1978 DB I ended up just taking whatever their annual salary was reported as back then and making it their weekly wage now. Bizarrely it actually corresponded pretty well to modern salaries
