Pukey
Been entertained enough by this. Not a classic but could be an exciting extra time though I'd imagine it'll be pretty cagey.

Samamatara
i don't see this going to penalties, feels like there's gonna be one costly mistake during the 30 minutes
av3ry
Hasnt been that good. Has been some good defending in this game though. Hummels and Boateng have played really well. Higuain's miss in the first half was really bad, both teams bottling it in front of goal.
TM
This final resembles the 1994 final. We will soon find out who is the Baggio of today. nah, it's not as bad as that been better than the 1990 one between these two as well
martplfc1
I've never seen Messi so lazy as he has been this World Cup. He only gas when he gets the ball. Pretty poor really.
Pangaea
BBC keep talking like Messi has been great but he has been poor to anonymous. He's pretty much done what he has done before in the WC. Some good runs and dribbles, which has sometimes meant a goal, and otherwise he's just walking around looking uninterested. He is dangerous when he gets going though, and is probably the most rested player out there

Pangaea
Match of lost chances so far. Based on chances 2-2 would be more sensible than 0-0. Not a great final so far, but certainly not the drag that 1994 was.

PMLF
Gah can't they just keep playing until someone scores? Really don't want to see penalties. They should replay the final a few days later (say Wednesday).

Candre168
They should replay the final a few days later (say Wednesday). This would be a better solution, although I guess it would take some of the buzz out of the game, and it'll mess up people who have tickets/plane tickets booked. But really, deciding a World Champion based on penalties really is a shame.

Bootador
If nobody can win after 120 minutes, 3rd and 4th place should come out and have a go - will be a bit look bullseye and give the 3rd/4th place game a place in the tournament.

JD nawrat
Would be a good time for The Netherlands to cash in the money in the bank briefcase "BAH GAWD, ARE THEY DOING THIS? Readingfanman
Isn't that the point? The games haven't had many goals in, thus they haven't been behind. Their games could have had 6 goals each and they might not have been behind still.
JD nawrat
Love that Messi scored all of his goals in the group stages against three easy teams and he's still being talked about as if he's the man to win it all for Argentina Argentina are going to need penalties, because they will not score in normal time - simply not good enough. Would be a bit of an injustice if Argentina won the cup tonight tbh... (Jinx?)

JD nawrat
Isn't that the point? The games haven't had many goals in, thus they haven't been behind. Their games could have had 6 goals each and they might not have been behind still. The impression I was getting was that they're so good they've not fallen behind once. When the reality is, they play a nasty little defensive game and play to scrape victories. They're good at accomplishing that style but it doesn't mean anything, other than they're good defensively (which everybody and his dog knows).
