DazRTaylor
Youth Candidates Season 2026/27 FC United of Manchester We were told, again, this would be a "Golden Generation" and again, I don't see it. grff
NK Zadar: 2063/64 season review A fantastic season as we stormed the league by a winning margin of 37 points We also won the domestic cup to complete a triple double. Our CL campaign came to an end in the Q/F as we fell to Liverpool. Great performers throughout the season. Karlo Tomasevic (57D) achieved the clubs best ever average rating as he banged in the goals. Youth intake was **** poor again We did win the UEFA Youth League once again...somehow. Transfers. One of our players didn't enjoy the league celebrations...

DazRTaylor
So I have managed to bypass the bug in Scotland by holidaying for two seasons and not one, so I can use East Kilbride. An English and Scottish save. Though it may not last long. I have eleven players. That's it. Five were on the transfer list when I arrived and because they were non contract, it wouldn't allow me to unlist them and they wouldn't sign deals as they were listed. So they left. So literally down to eleven players.

SpS_Zen
Season 17 2036/2037 After a month break, i'm back. Frustatring season. At two third of it, i started to think we would be able to win a title. The end of the season went poorly. We suffered from a heavy calendar (4 games in 7 days is not ok lol) and a higher amount of injuries than usual. At the start of the season, Green 03b left the club after 344 games played for 26 goals, 72 assits and a nice 7,26 avg rating! Pope05d will leave at the end of his contract. Despite performing still well (7,13 avg this season) i want to promote some new CD. Despite his low attributes (yeah he's not even good enough for VNLS lol) he managed to keep a 7,1 rating over 254 games which is stunning. He also was the older player of the team. In L2, we end up 9th which is decent. We missed play-offs with only 1point in our 6 last games. We reached semi-finals of Leasing.com Trophy, beating several Premier League u23 (Arsenal, Norwich) and some of the best L1 teams (QPR, Cardiff) during penalties. We lost to Leyton Orient (L1) 1-1p. A pleasant unexpected run that helped with finances. In Fa Cup we faced Everton in the 3rd round at home. This was a surprisingly close game, and we had opportunities to equalize. I am still waiting to face a Premier League team away to give a boost to my finances ! In Carabao Cup we lost 1st round to Kettering. (L1) 250k profit for our 1st season in L2. With around 3M expenses/season and a 1M debt, i need to keep an eye on my expenses. The youth setup is my first area of expenses with 750k spent this season. I made a change of HOYD, to let the club legend, Mazzone handle the youths. His first youth intake doesn't look great. Several players have a high aggression and bravery note which is not what i am looking for! Aim: reach PO, improve finances.

Cheers for that, just started with Vale of Leithen, no massive hardship just a bit of a pain i guess, especially if you're lucky enough to get a good cup draw. No youth intake could be problematic as I've only got 15 players. In fact that's my main gripe with this in Scotland, they release players at the end of May before you take over which makes some teams unplayable. I keep track of the intakes like this for a couple of reasons: 1) to see how the intakes improve over time as the facilities improve and 2) to see what impact my Head of Youth Development has on the initial player personalities and if the players, through mentoring, change the initial personality. Have you noticed any patterns with this ? - do you have a preferred personality for your HOYD ?
KibworthBull
Jalkapalloseura Hercules Season 8. Let's start with the positives.. 2nd place in the league was a significant improvement on the previous year where we finished in 6th, we were also a lot closer to the eventual winners (KuPS) - this secured European Football for another season Goals Goals Goals - 4A Iñigo Casado banged in 30 accross all comps, which now means he is the top scorer within the save with 81 in 133. Ably supported for a 2nd season by 5B Juuso Ilola who notched a pleasant 20 3C Nebay Mukhtar became the first International in the save as he picked up his first caps for Somalia - he also had a fairly decent season as RB 6A Mikko Rantala continues to come of age - now in his 2nd full season, he picked up the performances and topped the assists chart. No Transfers.. - I know that's the idea of the save, but couldn't think of a better place for this.. Negatives: Knocked out of the Soumen Cup in QFs which put our chances of Europe next year at risk, but thankfully the league campaign secured it Only Reached the 4th Qualifying Round of the Europa League, which is worse than last year, but we did get a bit of cash so were able to improve the facilities - turning a negative into a positive!! 1A Teemu Syväjärvi - our best "kid" decided to leave and move across Finland - 218 games and all round hero - left on a free transfer.. Youth Intake: Promise of a Golden Generation again - I cant seem to find the screenshot though! 8A Niko Wahlstedt - We have relied on our "real" keeper for the entire length of the save, BUT I think I may have found his replacement. He becomes my 3rd choice already and has 5* potential - am I brave enough to sell my No.1? 8B Iiro Lindroos - we already have quite a bit of talent at RM (the aforementioned Rantala - 6A) but Lindroos gives us a bit more depth. 8C Jussi Leinonen - my HoYD raved about this guy, but a Central Defender who can't really Head, Tackle or Mark possess a number of questions - he has made his senior bow and might become a decent squad player 8D Tapio Nurkkala - quite possibly the one that excites me the most - losing 1A Teemu leaves a big whole in our defence which Mukhtar did a good job filling but he isn't great. Tapio could become a very good option for us.
XaW
I'm starting to be able to sell a few squad players for big money, and I really like it. Sadly WAD - because in Scotland contracts run until the end of May. IRL it is not uncommon for the a few clubs to go into the first few days of Pre-Season with less than a 11 signed players, just this season Cowdenbeath looked like they were going to kick of their season (League Cup Groups) with 7 players signed for the whole season. Unfortunately, really ****s for this type of challenge. Edited May 1, 2020 by ATW
Winski
End of season 2027/2028 What e great season! The best season so far. We managed to qualify for the Championship playoffs for the first time in history. But we were not good enough to get promoted. We did win the first round against Partick Thistle: 4-1 at home, and 1-1 away. But in the 2nd round we lost against Falkirk. That team is just too good for us at this time. But I'm very happy with the progress were are making! And with the talented youngsters that just came through the last intake, I hope we can make that last step and get promoted to the Premiership in the next couple of seasons. I'm a bit worried about our financial situation. So I really hope we can promote in the very near future, or I can sell one of my talents for good money with a 50% clausule. Otherwise I don't know how we can make money... Best players this season were Mark McGinty 23b and Tony Neil 24b. McGinty 23b scored lots of goals for us, while Neil 24b is our assists-king. Really good players for us!Michael Marshall 28b had a direct impact en scored 4 goals in 10 matches. Very promising! Unfortunately we also received this message: I hope we still get some decent intakes... These are our facilities ATM:
ATW
2028/2029 - The Russian Winter Update - A Mixed bag The season has really been a mixed bag for the club this season, from the highs of Europe to the lows of losing too many games so far. Looking at the league though still a chance. The League As you can see we're still very much in the race for Europe, although Spartak are just untouchable it seems. We've already lost only 2 less games than we did the last two seasons. The good news is, we have 3 games in hand but only 1 point behind a European spot. But, as you can see from the results, we really should be in a better position, mainly losing to Rotor and drawing with Yenisey... The Cup Hello, sixth round my old friend... yep, a sixth round exit, this time to Zenit. European Conference League After easily breezing past Feyenoord (it was anything but a stroll - see previous updates ) we were then grouped with Qarabağ (Azerbaijan), Rheindorf (Austria) and Lugano (Switzerland). The group stages were a lot easier, and we qualified for the Second Knockout Round by winning the Group. So we look forward to the draw in late February. The results have also seen us better last seasons performance for our Club Co-efficient, "winning" 11 points this season so far (compared to 8 last year, where we had two extra games at this point). Youth Intake Rather disappointed not having a goalkeeper who is going to become the next best thing, after the last three provided one... Transfers Lets start with the cull, sadly Jankauskas (21c), Grishin (24d) and Popov (25d) failed to do enough to win new deals at the time where other players had began to shine, so have faced the bullet. While the transfers for this season, has also seen me lose two "one's to watch", including one of our three famed goalkeepers Zaitsev. Off the Field Youth Facilities and Training Facilities have been upgraded

DazRTaylor
End of Season Review Season 2026/27 FC United of Manchester League Table - We were in the top three for most of the season, without ever challenging for the title. Salford were just too strong and they did the double over us. League Fixtures 1, 2 & 3 - A fantastic season, capped off with an unexpected promotion. F. A. Cup - Another decent cup run, we made it through to round four before narrowly losing away to top flight Bournemouth. We did beat two clubs from a higher division though on route. Carabao Cup - We made it through to round before before being eliminated. We defeated three Championship sides on the way, two away from home. leasing.com Trophy - I played weakened sides and as a result, we finished bottom of our group and were knocked out. Pre Season Friendlies - Four defeats, three of them at home to bigger clubs. Squad - We are definitely improving as the players develop. Squad Dynamics - With everyone having played together for years, this is as good as you would expect. Transfers In - None. Transfers Out - One big sale here as shown earlier. I also allowed a few players to leave on free transfers as they either haven't developed or are just not good enough. Youth Candidates - Not the "Golden Generation" I was promised, but Mark Nicholls YP27A97 looks like he could be a first team regular for years to come. Finances - Very healthy, largely down to the sale of Stuart Bloomfield YP23G39. Key Players Anthony Connelly YP23F38 - The main striker who continues to score for fun. Özer Demir YP22C19 - Left winger who is good enough to play at a higher level. Dean Curran YP21C3 - The poster boy of the club, the centre back has made more appearances for the club than anyone else. Ryan Jackson YP23E37 - Playing the holding role in midfield, he had a fine season. Kieran McKay YP24C51 - Can play in central midfield or up front, the young Scot had his best season to date. Next Season It would be great to survive next season. Time will tell. Chileris
Hitchin 2022/2023 season: Top half finish, more goals scored as I experimented with 2 up top for part of the season. Did lead to more goals conceded after a run of bad results went back to previous formation. Managed a run on the FA cup to 3rd round which gave the finances a nice boost! Jordan Davies 21c continues to impress. Convinced the board to upgrade youth recruitment again after bringing in the FA Cup money, as well as creating an U23 team. First team: Best positions (first image) - Current formation score (second image) - Based on this it is probably better to start looking at a new formation, especially with some youth players pushing for roles I don't currently use (AM / DLF) Youth Intake 2023: (Some players straight in to the 1st/u23 teams) Of those in the u18's 23o looks like an outstanding full back already so will be moving him up in the close season.
DazRTaylor
Youth Candidates Season 2021/22 Some much needed players have arrived. I was told a "Golden Generation", though that is probably because I only have eleven players. That said, there is some definite potential here. DazRTaylor
End of Season Review Season 2022/23 League Table - Considering we only had eleven players until the youth intake, this was a phenomenal season. The fact we made the promotion play offs is nothing short of remarkable. Play Offs - We were superb in beating League One Montrose 4-1 on aggregate which set up a play off final against Cove Rangers. We played out of our skin and won 3-0 on aggregate to seal a highly unlikely promotion to League One. League Fixtures 1 & 2 - Our form in the new year was amazing and helped propel the club into the play offs. William Hill Scottish Cup - We lost in the third round, at home to League One outfit Forfar Athletic. Bet Fred Cup - A decent enough campaign, though we did not make it out of the group. Tunnock's Caramel Wafer Challenge Cup - We were beaten away by Rangers Reserves at the first hurdle. Pre Season Friendlies - Time allowed only three games and one of those was internal. Squad - Not too bad potential wise, but lacking on current ability. Squad Dynamics - Going well, which is nice. Transfers In - None. Transfers Out - Whilst I was here when these left, they were negotiating when I arrived so could not stop any of them from leaving. Youth Candidates - Some good prospects here in our "Golden Generation", with Kevin Barr YP22B2 looking the best of them. Finances - We are in the black, though only just. Key Players Craig Henderson - The best player at the club, who had a great season on the left wing. Ewan MacPherson - Playing on the right wing, he played very well throughout the campaign. Ruari Paton - Inconsistent but on his day, he is excellent. He had the game of his life in the play off final second leg. Kevin Anderson - Teenage goalkeeper who played a lot better than I expected. Developing nicely too. Mark Cairns - Another teenager, this central midfielder had a great year. Next Season Try and survive. Winski
That's a great first season, DazRTaylor! Good luck next season in League One. That league is a bit more difficult. It took me three years to promote to the Championship. About my own East Kilbride-save: The offer was too good to refuse. Unfortunately without a 50% clause, but I'm very happy with the money. He was one of my biggest talents, so it's a pity that he left us. But he wasn't my first pick and I've got another talent in my U19 who also got a lot of potential. So I'm very happy with this deal. DazRTaylor
Thank you @Winski. That was a cracking offer from Aberdeen. Hard to say no to that.
Mr_Tans
Gosport Borough Football Club Season 2022/23 | Vanarama National League | 4th (lost in play-offs) Season Preview | League Table | Squad | Competition Review | Finances | Transfers | Facilities League Performance: An unexpectedly tremendous campaign in our second season in the National League. We never left the top 10 pretty much all season, and rounded it off with a rousing end to the season which saw us in 4th heading into the play-offs. Our first play-off fixture at home to Hartlepool saw us thrash them 3-0, but an away trip to eventual play-off winners Stevenage was too much for the team as they outclassed us with a 4-2 win to end our dreams of league football and full time status. Cup Performance: We remain a frustrating cup team, unable to put any sort of run together in the hopes of garnering some extra income. We didn't even make the 1st round of the FA Cup this time, losing at home to VNS team Bath. We had our best run in the FA Trophy, but it was still only the 2nd round as we lost a replay at home to Wealdstone. Players: This season was the making of four of the original youth graduates. Hayden Atkinson YP21a made another 38 league appearances and cements himself as our first choice right back. On the opposite flank Shaun Walker YP21c made 25 starts and will be first choice left back next season as Rory Williams turned 33 during the season and is on the decline. John Butler YP21b established himself as our first choice left winger and chipped in with 4 goals and 6 assists in 31 starts, and last but not least the surprise story of the season was Robert Cook YP21d's 16 league goals - his impressive physical stats make up for his terrible technical attributes. Facilities: Mercifully we were finally able to upgrade junior coaching and youth recruitment as the play off fixture against Hartlepool brought in our biggest ever gate receipts at £65k. The promised increase to the youth level at the end of last season never materialised as the board decided they couldn't afford it. Youth Intake Another disappointing youth intake with no stand out players. The best prospect is a left winger which is unfortunately a position we're well covered for, although a decent potential keeper and centre back are welcome additions: Next Season: I honestly don't know what to expect to be honest! This season came as a complete surprise, and I'm not sure how we can repeat it with the squad at our disposal. I guess we'll go into it aiming to avoid the drop and see where we go from there. _JHTB_
Some extra excitement as we get to the winter break we have got another 'end of season awards' that has come through and a season review for a season that we've still got 16 games left to play, curious. Maybe now our facilities will upgrade
dkouv
Scarborough Athletic – Season 13 (2032/33) English Premier League League: Our first season in the Premiership was undoubtedly a success. We started with a kind set of fixtures, and some good form propelled us towards the top end of the table. We tailed off after we had to face the usual “big 6” - apart from a solitary point at home to Chelsea, we didn’t pick up anything from those fixtures - but were never in danger of relegation. We managed to end our bad run of form around March, and a great run of 6 wins in 7 saw us finish 6th and pick up a Europa League spot. We did ok in the cups, reaching the FA cup quarters where we lost at home to Derby. Players: The surprise and star performer of the season was Shane Young 11a (ML/ST), who plugged a very necessary hole upfront and ended up our top scorer with 19 goals in 35 apps, even outscoring our star player Mark Campbell 09b (AMLC/ST). In defence, Russell Jebbison 02c (DRC/DC) was very solid - to think that he’s been with us all the way of the journey from Vanarama North to the EPL is quite special. He’s still one of the better players in the squad, and has notched up 422 league appearances over 11 years. Another shout out goes to Bogdan Radulescu (DL/WBL) - an untagged wingback from a poor intake a few years ago who has defied expectations and has become a bit of a regular for us. Youth intake: Looks like the move up the the Premiership paid off, and we have the first “exciting” intake for quite a few years. Michael Edwards 13a (DMC/MC/AMC) and Nick Harmon 13b (ST/AML) will be already pushing for a squad place, and Kemo Kanteth 13c (GK) could provide a long-term replacement for our keeper Neil Smith 06a who’s been with us since Vanarama National. . Facilities: No upgrades this year but we’re rolling in cash now so a youth and training facility upgrade has been ordered. We’re also building a new stadium which should be done in the summer. Transfers: None, but club legend Irvino Morales 01a (AMRC/ST) will be let go to make room for the youngsters - with us since the first season, notching up 157 goals and 45 assists in 472 apps, including 3 goals in the Prem before his season was cut short by a bad injury. @Padders congrats! Looks like you got some great players on your books, best of luck in Europe next season! ATW
2028/2029 End of Season - Europe Again Another season has come to an end, and it has once again see us qualify for the European Conference League, although I am far from happy this season. Lost far too many games, in fact only losing 1 less than our first season in the Premier League, the only difference is we drew 15 games that season instead of the 14 wins. The League The European Conference League Once again, the campaign came to an end in the Second Knockout stage. Absolutely outclassed to be honest against Celta Vigo. Maybe, next time... Youth Intake Dmitry Zhukov (29a), 16 - Young midfielder who can also play upfront. Going to see if I can turn him into a striker Evgeny Forlov (29b), 16 - A right back, which I will be honest is a position I have struggled to provide a solid right back. Could he be the one? Alexandr Pakhomov (29c), 17 - Wide right midfielder, who will could struggle at the start but what the future holds no one knows. Alexandr Pogrebnyak (29d), 16 - Left back, who is some way off just now, and with a couple of players in front of him. Could come good Transfers Off the Field The board have updated the Junior Coaching to Excellent, and also got more good news... One of my young strikers, that I did not pick as a one to watch, has turned up well during the season too... so much so that he dominated the Club awards, but not only that won the Russian Premier League Young Player of the Year award.
