NK Zadar: 2068/69 season review

Back to winning ways as we banished the choke of last season by winning the league again.
Our CL campaign was heartbreaking as we were 4-2 on agg against Man City with 15mins left and conceded 3 goals. Another quarter-final defeat.

Some fantastic numbers. Tomasevic (57D) and Kovacic (56C) leading th way.

Hitchin 2034/2035 season:

image.thumb.png.9eb2cc897a5b90f9cdb200cc26b0bcb0.png

Wow! What a season! Clinched promotion on the final day winning 5 on the bounce. A cracking start, slight dip after but steady progress the rest of the year.

Tactically adding and extra man in defence actually made us a much more potent attacking side, breaking down play more often and hitting teams on the counter. The biggest loss this season being a 3-0 away from home where normally 5/6/7-nils have been seen is a great achievement too.

The team fire sale I was expecting never happened with bids for key players not coming in, meaning the couple of players who were itching to play in a higher division now have the opportunity to do so with me.

Definitely better defensive stats although next season may be tough.

Again only took on a few players this year and their stats are not particularly impressive.

No fire sale at all, delighted with this as hopefully I can keep hold of some of the star players.

Other news:

The board had to inject an extra £100k this season.

Had a tweak to training, think it is finally starting to work based on the improvements of my 1st choice goalkeeper in the last 12 months!

image.thumb.png.e14e702780fc29d653b87f6f62487219.png

Also coming to the end of an era. The star potential player in the team when I started this save was Donald Tawse. Now 31 and contract due to end in the summer. He scored or assisted almost 2 in 5 from the right wing and stuck with me throughout (and the every increasing wage packets!). Have a sinking feeling any new stadium will be named after him before me!

Okay, my East Kilbride-save is over because I've been sacked. I can't believe it, this is something new for me. But it's part of this challenge I think. The results were just too bad. I just kept on losing games and I couldn't turn it around.

It all started with the sell of my best player Kenny Black 28c. He turned down offers of Celtic and Crystal Palace, but then suddenly accepted an offer of Morton. The money was okay (3.6M), but he was just too important for us. I changed the tactic several times and maybe that wasn't too good either. But I had to do something.

I spend so many hours in this save...:( It was a really nice trip from the League Two all the way up to the Premiership. But it will end here, unfortunately.

I'm going to think about what to do next. I think it will be a youth challenge again. Man, I wish I could start over this last season....

FC DNEPR MOGILEV / SEASON 2 / COMPETITIONS / TRANSFERS / FINANCES

image.thumb.png.2c38deed3770e7be78476ba7234d155d.png

Despite not having a striker in the team at all, due the board selling my only strikers, we saw some improvement overall. However, it does not bode well that my top goalscorer (5) is my centre back! The 5* guy that was sold has just finished the season as the top goalscorer in the Highest League (tier 1); he must be something special! Fortunately, this years youth intake seems pretty good. I'm not getting too carried away though since the stars are relevant to my squad only. Let's see what happens!

XaW - Putnok FC - 2025/26

Putnok_VSE_logo.png

Table | Squad | Transfers | Finances

A bit worse than last season, but as long as we avoid relegation and keep getting in better youngsters. I'm beginning to sell a few youth players as well now, so I've started the long term viability of the club. We are still a bit behind the top clubs, but overall I'm very happy with another 7th place finish.

In the Magyar Kupa we beat Hatvan, Szigetszentmiklósi (that's a tongue twister!), Nyíregyháza Spartacus, Soroksár and MTK Budapest before losing to Újpest in the semi final.

We keep having good youth intakes and this kept the trend up. Ádám Kékesi 26a is a good midfielder and with a Driven personality I'm very happy adding him to the squad. Zsolt Szabó 26b, aka the Hungarian Wan-Bissaka, is a talented full back with excellent tacking. István Klinger 24c had a good season on the right wing and Attila the Hun 21a had a great season in midfield.

The U19s keep on playing friendlies.

What could top last seasons promotion with an under-strength  team? A result so good that my 3 star players all agreed to drop their transfer requests, sign 3 year deals and remove their release clauses!

Next season is going to be a real struggle but fingers crossed a couple of profitable years which will help re-build finances to improve the facilities (unless they decide a stadium is more important again!).

Season 2022/23 | Vanorama south | 16th

I decided to let go of all the old players except our goalkeeper  - so our average age in the first team was just 18 this season.

Our season was mixed - we played some extremely good games and often lost the games due to Red Cards. And then our top goalscorer Robbie Ellis was injured for 6 months in december. Our team is getting cards and cards every game, so im considering removing the "Get stuck in" option

Cups was nothing specific to report.

In general i see our 1st team players develop quite good - i am optimistic for the next season as we start to have a mix of skills and good personalities. Our biggest issue right now is to get more leaders in the team. I have a few young players i hope will step up next season.

Next season we hope to be able to reach the play offs and we need to clean up in the youth team. We have to many players in the U18 squad.

Another improvement across the board. Even though we since finished 8th, it was with higher amount of wins and scoring more goals. I feel the results could've been better still, but the better players were sold at about the half-way stage of the season (largest fee received is now £88k). Another good youth intake this year to hopefully make us push for the promotion playoffs zones!

Season Review & Youth Intake 2023
League | Transfers | Finance | Facilities | Youth Intake

Youth intake where an really good one! we needed a striker and we got two! (04-A)Martin Hallin and (04-B)Magnus Dahlin will have to battle it out for the first spot but i think Dahlin will win as Hallin got some personality issues! Also (04-C)Björn Gustavsson which is a bit ot slow for a winger role so i will train him to become a CM instead. We ended up signing everyone with five star potential and the first four will all get instant into first team to compete!

So to the season overall. We came up as biggest underdogs ever to even survive we had an wage budget spent of 36.5k pound per year and the ones with the second lowest had a wage spending of 506k pound so yeah we basically paid our squad what they pay one player... But boy did we prove them all that money is nothing! we were never really anywhere close to relegation and we where in the fight for promotion till the second last game but we finally ended up in an 6th place which is amazing! We even got 733k pound from that position and we where nearly at 0 in balance so this is huge!

Transfers: we lost our winger (01-A)Adam Åhman which where a good player for us for only 11k pound since the board sold him... other than that nothing happend

Finance: we went slowly down from the around 100k pound we started the season on but then we got that huge prize money but we then spent 650k pound of it on a youth facility upgrade! but this is huge for us to be able to upgrade!

Facilities: as i wrote we got approved upgrade of YF which is great!

Top scorer: Gustaf Strid 7 Goals 24(1) Games Avg 6.97

Most assists: (03-G) Simon Samuelsson 5 assists 25(0) Games Avg 6.95

Best Average: Gustaf Strid 7 Goals 4 assists 24(1) Ga,es Avg 6.97

Best Prospect: (03-G) Simon Samuelsson 1 Goal 5 assists 25(0) Games Avg 6.95

Top Prospect: (04-B)Magnus Dahlin 2 Goals 0 assists 1(4) Games Avg 6.84

Season 2030/31 | Sky Bet Championship | 3rd (lost in play-offs)

Season Preview | League Table | Squad | Competition Review | Facilities | Transfers | Finances

League Performance:

An absolutely heartbreaking end to what was ultimately a very promising season for us. We went into the final day of the season top of the league and one point ahead of both Bristol City and Fulham, and were in the top 2 until five minutes before the final whistle. We were away at Leeds who outclassed us to win 2-0, however Bristol City needed to beat Rotherham to overtake us and were level until the 85th minute before scoring two goals to seal their promotion. Our only other hope was a Fulham defeat, but they drew 0-0 away at Blackburn to go up on goal difference and condemn us to the play-offs. Predictably we collapsed in the play-offs as we were beaten 3-1 away at Sunderland in the first leg and could only manage a 1-1 draw at home in the return leg.

Cup Performance:

Two third round exits, including our usual lower league fiasco in the FA Cup against Bradford this time.

Players:

Ronnie Hudson: Another fantastic season from the left winger who contributed 10 goals and 11 assists

Kieran O'Donovan YP29a: Came of age this season notching 15 goals and 7 assists from attacking midfield

Tom Nelson: Captain fantastic. Not the most talented player in the squad but bring some much needed pace and physicality to the back line

Caleb Mohammed: Became our second full international as he was capped by Nigeria, and filled the void left by David McKernon YP28a who was sold to Stoke during pre-season

Finances & Facilities:

It's all been happening off the field as we were taken over early into the season. The new chairman kindly injected £5m into the club's finances, which on top of McKernon's transfer for £6m meant we were very comfortable all season finance wise. The training facilities have received an upgrade to adequate, and along with the youth facilities are planned for another upgrade next season. Our youth level has also increased from 4 to 3 so hopefully that'll be reflected in future intakes. And finally we're getting our first stadium extension! Next season we'll be playing at St. Marys as the stadium is being extended to 8,625.

Youth Intake:

A slightly more promising one after last year's disappointment:

1858926997_GosportBorough_YouthCandidates.thumb.png.a8eb16c31dcbccd963b470217c77600a.png

Matthew Walker YP31a: We don't half produce some central midfielders, and here's another. Driven personality which will hopefully means lots of quick progression

Ian Murphy YP31b: Another striker for us to fit into the squad somewhere. Looks more promising than what we already have so will send some to the U23s to make room for him

Bobby Smith YP31c: For some reason is a natural as a winger despite not being able to cross or dribble. I definitely see him as a striker with his speed and high finishing

Next Season:

More of the same hopefully, there's not many clubs chasing our star players so we should retain the main core while blooding more of our promising youngsters. We're really starting to build a solid base for years and years to come so long as we don't get relegated we'll be alright.

Career Summary:

Michael Bohrer YP25a is now leading goalscorer and most capped player as he approaches the 100 league goals.

Season 2028/29 Review

League | FA Cup | League Cup | EFL Trophy | Transfers | Squad | Finances

Well I did say I was more optimistic than last season. My big worry going into the season was about if we could keep Paul Morton 27B. We couldn't. Lost him days after the window opened for 350k. Good money but he was very good for us. This dented my optimism for the new season as I didn't think we had the players in the middle of the park to really do much. How wrong was I? We started well (not losing for 11 games) and had a back and forth battle with Northampton before a 1-0 away to Lincon in game 12 sent us top where stayed all season, no one really gave us a challenge once we established ourselves. Over Christmas we drew 2 and lost 1 which was our worst spell of the season and still came out of 5 points clear. We scored several late goals and many from set pieces which makes me worry if it's sustainable but we were 2nd top scorers (by 1 goal) with our top scorer having 13 so we really did share the load this season.

The cups once again were not worth talking about. Transfers we did lose Morton but we've also now started to loan players out who do well in National league north/southlevel. The only worry is over main forward Higgns. He got upset at the sale of Morton to which I said I wanted to give young players a chance, he agreed but then said I failed to do so despite winning the the league with a joint record amount of wins and a record points total all while the oldest player in the squad was him at 24! Not sure what else I could have done? But his contract is up and he'll likely leave now as a result :(

Finances are looking a bit rough even with the Morton sale at 250k payment from Derby for Mayfield sale last season. I sold some sell on clauses which has nearly wiped out the debt but I worry I'll regret this further down the line.

Youth IntakeI've been thinking about replacing my HOYD but he keeps giving me solid intakes like this so while I keep looking for better I don't find any. Another solid one here.

Neil Turner 29A - right winger, my coaching staff are excited by him and he could be useful
Rivaldo Woodley 29B - gotta love a Rivaldo in your team don't you? We've a few decent young right backs so be good to see one of them step up
Joel Moran 29C - another decent looking forward, if I can improve his mentals he could be a decent player for us
Steve Armitage 29D - yet another CB
Sebastian Richter 29E - a decent looking DM at last, sadly broke his ankle days after the intake so just hoping that doesn't harm his development too much

Heartbreak for Hendon, squandering our last 2 games of the season to win the league but even more depressing is that we went on to lost the Playoff Final on Penalties:

Finally we made some progress! And the most important is that I think I've fixed the defence, seeing as we "only" conceded 29 goals in 33 games. Not that impressive in itself, but since we conceded 42 last season, it's a clear improvement. I've also managed to increase the goals, so everything went better. We were part of the top part of the table for the entire season, and we were actually in the title run for a long while. With 5 games left everything could happen.

AWMfF9U.png

We fell a bit short for that though, but I'd taken a 3rd before the season. So that means we are going into the Europa Conference League next season, and finally Europe are going to hear about Putnok!

In the Magyar Kupa we beat Komárom and Gyula before losing to Gyirmót in the 3rd round.

The youth intake this season were not as good as the previous ones, but we still got a couple of exciting players. Lorand Labancz 27a is a talented attacking midfielder with some excellent technical stats for his age, and Gábor Katona 27b could become a good deep lying playmaker with decent defensive skills. Attila the Hun 21a, our new captain, had a magnificent season for us. Viktor Németh 23b finally showed that he can be our first choice striker as he doubled his tally from last season. The final player I want to showcase is András Kelemen 25a. His level have shot through the roof this season and he is a major part of why we did better this year. I have him on contract for another 4 years, but he is making noise and have talked about moving. So I'm going to have a battle to keep him for the long run.

The U19s keep on playing friendlies.

Scarborough AthleticSeason 18 (2037/38)

English Premier League

League: On the surface not much change, but we played much much better this season. We finished 6th but with a very solid 69 points, only a few points off the CL places. The team was much more consistent and recorded a few victories against the top sides, including a double over Man Utd. The players are developing nicely and I’m hoping we can push on towards the top 4 next season.

A good run to the league cup semi was ended by Man City, who also knocked us out of the FA cup.

punBct3.png  uEu7o4P.png

Europe: The Europa Conference league was very enjoyable – I played my reserves but this was enough to get us through to the final without too many problems, without any teams from other top leagues encountered along the way. The final was a very nervy affair – we completely dominated Schalke but my star striker Nick Harmon couldn’t hit a barn door so it looked like we were heading for penalties until they conceded a spot kick in the last minute of extra time, and with a 122nd minute goal we sealed our first “proper” trophy!

JPDq4GW.png  A8pKm4Z.png

Players: Almost all the oldies have been phased out, and we have a very solid core of promising youngsters with Scott Jamieson 14a (GK) and Michael Edwards 13a (DC/DM/MC/AMC) the stars, and Bartosz Wiacek 16a (DC/MC) the top prospect. In attack, we seem to really depend on Alan Malone 14b (AMRLC/ST), who is the only winger that can reliably score goals for us, and he gets injured a lot – so I’m hoping for a bit more depth on the wings in the coming years.

1kQQD1F.png  oqjgsmb.png  sXxKxIk.png  3WicVfh.png  RaR2Ik5.png

Youth intake: Again I’m happy, with Richard Robertson 18a (DRLC) adding to our suddenly swelling ranks of talented defenders, and Paul Bouhet (AMLC/ST) and Aaron Moore 18c (AMLC/ST) potentially providing some much needed depth up front.

CaJtwva.png  k4BflOd.png  p2rEQrQ.png  8GDAYVZ.png

Transfers: another couple of legends bite the dust, with Lewis Southern 05d (MRC/AMR) who’s been ever present for us on the right wing departing for Championship side Barnsley.

Main goal of surviving the league was reached. we end league with 10th place and first half of season was great where we play around 2nd place. At the end of the season I've got a award for playing in league with u21 players. This award help as alot and give our finances a breath. Meanwhile I managed to keep my key players on half-professional contracs. Intake was pretty much ok we got 2 DL Kapelusz 04a and Zielinski 04c + ... another GK Rydzak 04b. For next 2 seasons I hope I will catch from intake some offensive players that allows me to go to league II. There is not much to say about this season tho just waiting for new players. I still didn't hit 1 star reputation but I think Arkonia is close and we still don't play in Polish Cup. So thats for now boys cheers!

NK Zadar: 2069/70 season review

Another league title secured as we made it 8 championships in 9 years. Our CL Campaign saw us reach the Q/F before losing on away goals to PSG. A game we really should've won.

Youth intake was pleasing. One stand out player was this forward who looks good. Need to improve his physicals though.

Season 20 2039/2040

We started the season with high expectations. We reached them conceding only 4 defeats in L2, and  establishing a new league record with 104 points. After the VNLS and VNL title, we won the League 2 title. Unfortunately we lost during the season Macdonald06b, he was still our best rated player previous season, our captain and a club big name. He had a monthly contract, as he was asking a too high wage regarding his qualities, and choose to left the club after 14 seasons, 351 games, 155 goals and 7,25 rating average. I was able to recruit him as staff for my u18. This is the third ex-player who is joining my staff, a forth is the Boreham Wood trainer in VNL. I asked a new affiliate club after the promotion, and the only VNLS/VNL club avalaible was Boheman Wood :) So, my ex player Arthur, who still has the appareances record at the club with 501, is now the coach of my affiliate club.  I didn't plan to ask to share the training center, but my new chairman negotiate it. The club was bought at the end of the season, and the first decision of the new owner was to cancel the link with my senior affiliate, Manchester United, which was bringing around 180k/y as income...Later he asked me if i wanted to push the youth level, and i refused given the already high amount spent in the youths. My finances are not good enough to envisage it.

My 2 best players:

Nothing notable in cups. Finances are ok after 1,5m spend in 2 years in youth facilities.

1100600_20200524162519_1.thumb.png.d849e74490cd54c7682c2d7d60e75397.png1100600_20200524162529_1.thumb.png.6899ffcb7c2910033ddb732c1c43811d.png

This year youth intake looks poor. I have big hopes for the hot prospect from the previous youth intake.

Aim: Promotion

I completed this challenge last year with Chelyabinsk in Russia, but didn't post my screenshots. If I was to upload, would I still be able to get into the hall of fame or have I missed the boat :-)

XaW - Putnok FC - 2027/28

Putnok_VSE_logo.png

Table | Squad | Transfers | Finances

A great result last season as we qualified for Europe, and the goal was to keep it going. I'm really transferring over to the new tactic now, and things are getting better and better, but not yet perfect. Still, we had another good season. We were part of the main trio along Ferencváros and Újpest. The whole season were a fight between us and we overtook one another, but then lost out again. It was great fun, even if we finished in 3rd, 2 points behind the other two. I really think we have a chance at a title next season.

In the Magyar Kupa we beat Hajdúnánás, Hódmezővásárhely, Szolnoki MÁV, Zalaegerszegi, Puskás Akadémia and MTK Budapest to reach the final. Here we faced Pécsi MFC who we beat 1-0 after getting an early lead and controlling the match throughout. So our first real trophy!

Edit: I forgot Europe, since it was so long ago! So here it is!

We had our first go in Europe this season and Europa Conference League is the tournament. We started in the 2nd qualifying round were we beat Knattspyrnufélag Akureyrar of Iceland in both legs. In the 3rd qualifying round we met Rijeka of Croatia. We lost away, but won at home with a bigger difference to go past them. In the 4th qualifying round we drew Scottish outfit Rangers. We narrowly lost away and only managed 0-0 draw at home to be knocked out. But still an excellent display for our first attempt.

Here is the map over our travels where the countries ticked off are Hungary, Croatia, UK and Iceland:

J5BJmOk.png

The youth intake this season were pretty bad, but we got two good talents at least. Attila Péter 28a looks like a very good defender, and Marius Cheregi 28b is a good right winger, a role I really need a backup for. Also, in his debut for the U19s, he scored 5 goals as a winger... István Klinger 24c had a great season for us, and so did András Kelemen 25a, who also got his debut for the Hungarian national team. I also managed to get him to sign a new contract for us! Viktor Németh 23b are once again our top scorer.

The U19s keep on playing friendlies.

2128/29 season review

We have made it back into the Premier League

After a good start to the season and fighting for top 2, we then went one one of those terrible runs and managed to finish in the last play off spot

Form going into the playoff was poor but after dropping a couple of the more experienced players we managed to win the playoffs

S4 - Campeonato de Portugal Prio A (1st) - Play offs (winners) – Taça (3rd Rnd) - Squad (U19) - Transfers

First things first, rewarded myself with a new logo for the club. Little bit more professional and shows the Cape Verdean link! Second, I’m using custom faces for regens now because I was just getting too many players that literally look the same. Finally, I already apologize for the long update. There’s just so much to say about this season… 😉

Transfers

Busy summer, had to release some youngsters although I never like this part. Montrond, Silva & J. Lima of our very first intake were nowhere near the talent of other prospects we have in their positions at the moment. O. Lima went out on loan to Taboeira, a team that only plays in a U19 league. I don’t really back my staff in his alleged qualities and I was even more interested in seeing how this spell would turn out for him in terms of development. Another defender I let go of is Graça, he permanently moved to U19 side Guarda, to make sure Mendes, who’s the bigger talent imo, gets all the chances he needs. In October, left winger Dos Santos Soares also transferred to a U19 side. He never lived up to his potential and his expiring contract wasn’t going to be renewed since we have several youngsters suitable to play at AML.

Harder decisions to make was releasing José dos Santos and Paulo Gomes, two of our youth prospects who were already at the club when I took over. Gomes was our only striker in the first season and will always raise some kind of nostalgia, but he didn’t develop and was taking others their game time. Dos Santos has also been extremely valuable to the club, wearing our jersey for almost 70 games. He was retrained as a left back and was a versatile option as a sub, but his time has come now with the arrival of new, genuine full backs.

Most important “transfer” was the contract Rui Carvalho signed, he’s staying at Bragança until 2026. After an offer in January of CD Feirense, he even signed a deal until 2027 with an extension to 2028 in case of promotion. Also interesting was that one of our new goalies, Duarte, got a trial offer from Italian side Lazio. Andrade got an offer from first divisioners Boavista & Moreirense while right back Silva was contacted by Belenenses SAD and CD National. Defensive mid Costa was wanted by Desportivo das Aves. It seems like Portuguese teams are starting to recognise our talents!

Season review

Disappointment because of last year’s anti-climax did not last for too long. Without Braga B & Vitoria de Guimaraes B who (finally!) promoted to the second tier, I knew this was our shot to reach the play offs. We played as solid as we were last season, with the big difference that luckily enough the competition wasn’t as extremely strong now. Nothing was going to stop us, which we proved throughout the season. We qualified for the play offs after a 0-2 win at GD Bragança, with 3 games still to play. First time in four seasons!

We drew AD Fade in the first stage of the play offs, a well-known team to us since they play in the same league. They have some quality players, with the likes of Ze Gomes and Gustavo Furtado. However, we’re the number 1 which we showed them. Next team to conquer was Alverca, a side that ended 2nd in the Campeonato de Portugal Prio D. A decent side, but nothing to special. We had to benefit from the first game where they had to miss two of their midfielders because of suspensions. That’s exactly what we did, for the second game in a row Edson Tavares scored twice and secured the 2-0 win for us. Away game ended 1-1, so we promoted!!! Edson Tavares is to thank for this, scoring 5 goals in 3 games! To top it off, we even won the final against CD Mafra after penalties. What. A. Season. Big shoutout to our star player Rui Carvalho who scored 18 goals and provided 13 assists, but also our captain Davy who has had his best season so far at the club (14 goals, 5 assists).

Class of 2023 - Best prospects

Let's start with my never ending struggle, the two goalies from last intake made it incredibly difficult to chose one over the other. Although it was intended that Santos would remain our number one since he had a very solid season last year, Duarte and Gomes were just to talented to ignore. However, after one season, I can still say I absolutely don't know which one to pick as the starter, so they both get an equal amount of game time. Gomes is our very first (youth) international btw, he several call-ups for the Dutch under 20 and 19. What a recognition!

Full back Sanches immediately proved his value to our club, very interesting option as he can play at both sides. He featured in 36 games, providing 10 assists as a full back which is quite impressive in his debut season. Last but not least we have left winger Cabral, he won us several games by late time goals. He will be a starting player next year for sure. Soares, who I had high hopes for, seemed to be underwhelming so far.

Youth intake

First intake of our new HOYD Sousa, should be a slight improvement compared to former HOYD. Better mental stats and besides that, going from a HOYD with tactical style ‘park the bus’ to ‘Tiki Taka’ just cannot be bad you’d think.

Spoiler

pnghu4bq77b3h.png

Decent intake, decent personalities. Fernandes (GK), Spencer (DC/DM), Lopes (DM) Mendes (DL), Almeida (MC), Lopes (AML), Duarte (AMR) and Baessa (AMR/ST) got a youth contract. However, we're coming to a point where you have to be more than just a talent to jump into our senior squad immediately. Baessa looks like the best of the bunch and will be part of the senior squad, while Mendes could challenge Reis for his spot as a back-up left back. Almeida might also get some game time, but let's do something about that personality first.

Aim for next season

Please, let's survive the Liga II Ledman... In order to do that, we really need to make sure none of our wanted players I mentioned above leave the club. Especially Rui Carvalho, if he leaves we might as well not start the season.

Meh. Thought it would be the season to show some progression; instead it was something of a stagnation. Plenty of suspensions and injuries plagued us from start to finish. The youth intake seems average, despite the increase of the youth coaching level. Meanwhile (20a) Igor Savostjanov has earned a free transfer to FC Porto and has 10 goals in 18 caps for Belarus. So wish I could've held on to him; now it looks like I won't get a penny from his free transfer

Finally think I've turned a corner with the tactic. This is my non-friendly games so far this season:

GUmjvlP.png

As you can see we started conceding a goal every game in August. However, since then, I've only conceded 5 goals in the last 12 games. And two of those were in the poor loss away after an early red card. Now, I haven't gotten the goalscoring perfect yet, but some small tweaks and we are gold!

This is how it is at the moment:

And a few individual instructions;

AML - Sit narrower and Roam from position
CM-A - Move into channels

So, once again, my FM17 tactic works wonders with a few tweaks! :D

Season 2023/24 | Vanorama south | 7th (promoted through playoff)

What a season. After some tactical adjustments we mastered defensive football and managed to finish in 7th place and winning the play off finale.

We made 61 goals in 49 matches and only let 1 in- so 1,24 goals vs 1 let in pr. match. PARK THE BUS!

Our cups was as always medicore - i really hope for a good cup run soon as we desperately need the money.

We manged to get our Junior Coaching upgraded and get many coach courses.

We had once again a good youth intake.

Our main problem is we have to many players - i had to let 15 players go - even players with good personalities and with potential, so our total sum of players are now 43. Still to many! But it is difficult to leave potential good players out.

We hope to survive the National league!

Squad - League - Transfers - Facilities - FinancesIntake

Another quick season in Polish III League. Unlucky I wasn't able to hold my best player Fijalkowski 03a. He left us to Widzew Łódź which actually managed to get promotion to Ekstraklasa (higest level in Poland). With 3 games in first team and some in III league reserves (vs me) he will be probably our bigest start from our academy who actually leaved club. With Fijalkowski 03a another player who left club for money was Witkowski 3b. Idk why he was on list of so many club from first league but in my opinion hes skills for now are to small to be my first GK (he started to ruin atmosphere) so decided to sell him. We will get 30% and 50% of next transfer for this boys. We got a great intake. Radzikowski 05a left winger, two DC who actually fill up hole after Fijalkowski 03a ... Czubak 05b and Mikolajczak 05c, great right winger Chodyna 05d and last but not least another GK Grabowski 05f. I ended league at 9th place which is actually good to replace players from intakes. I managed to reach good academy coaching (which should soon change on solid) and after season Chairman allowed me to get good lvl in youth rec. In next season I want reach top 8... Im changing tactic on 4-4-2 with wing play so hoply I will be able to do it. If somehow I get promotion that will be great :)

Gosport Borough Football Club

Season 2031/32 | Sky Bet Championship | 6th (Promoted via play-offs)

League Table | Competition Review | Squad | Finances | Transfers | Facilities

League Performance:

By jove, we've only gone and done it! A complete reversal from last season where we were relegated to the play-offs in the final minutes of the season and were smahed in the play-offs, this time we scraped in thanks to a final day win at Rotherham and a defeat for Oxford at Birmingham. Our home advantage in the first leg paid dividends as we trounced Crystal Palace 3-0, a 1-0 defeat in the return fixture mattered not as we cruised into a play-off final against Sheffield United. The final itself was a predictably tense affair, and was settled thanks to a first half penalty for us to come through 1-0 to reach the promised land.

The overall season was quite a topsy-turvy affair. We started off fantastically well, shaking off last season's play-off disappointment and were unbeaten after 13 games. However the wheels came off over the winter as we lost four in a row in November and never really regained any consistency after that. That was until the end of the season where we lost only 1 in 9 to climb from just outside the play-off positions into that crucial sixth place on the last day of the season.

Cup Perfomance:

A third FA Cup round exit to Nottingham Forest and a second round exit in the League Cup to Birmingham continues our dismal cup performances.

Players:

We lost two players during the season to Premier League clubs, both defenders. Centre back Sam McDonald YP28d had his £4.3m release clause activated by Leicester, and full back cum centre back Adam Taylor YP30a departed in January to Watford for £10m. In hindsight I wish I turned that down now we no longer need to worry about finances, but no use worrying about it now.

Ronnie HudsonThe most important player in the squad contributed another 11 goals and 11 assists this season

Matthew Walker YP31a: Broke into the first team almost immediately and chipped in with 3 goals and 6 assists from the centre of the park

Kieran O'Donovan YP29a: Technically the best player at the club, contributed 14 goals from attacking midfield, and scored the penalty to send us up

Tom Kiely YP27cAnother full international to add to the list as the ever present ball winning midfielder was capped by Ireland

Finances & Facilities:

The £14.4m we received in incoming transfers kept the bank balance looking very healthy. Our stadium was exapanded just in time for the play-off semi-final and now hold 8,625. The facilities are all at an average level with more upgrades on the way including an increased youth level which will be nice.

Youth Intake:

Disappointing. Only two with any real potential, and even then I'm not that hopeful.

2020183226_GosportBorough_YouthCandidates.thumb.png.36fa8fa7ef930b2f9a149ac01b514e5f.png

Mark Micsinai YP32a: We do need more centre backs so there's hope for him. Desperately needs to improve his strength though

David Emeka YP32b: A natural fullback but standing at 6ft 4" he may well be a better fit at centre back

Next Season:

Doesn't really matter what happnes next season to be honest. The money we'll receive for being in the Premier League will benefit the club for years to come even if we get relegated, which I'm more than prepared for. We don't really have anyone breaking through so the team will largely stay the same for next season, at least now we can worry less about selling our best players and actually build a team around them.

Career Summary:

Michael Bohrer YP25a hit 100 league goals during the season, but is now resigned to more of a bit part role due to the emergence of Ian Murphy YP31b. He should also be the first to 300 appearances next season as well.
