Cheez3y
4 hours ago, Cheez3y said: 3rd major loss of the save. He wouldnt sign a new deal, so with 6 months left on his contract, he needed to go. I could have gotten 1-2 mio more last winter. But with him, we managed to get 3rd in the league and got us into the semi finale of the Conference League. So we probably made more cash with this decision. Lets see if Kamal can step up after two loans. Safe to say, he stepped up. 7 games - 7 goals I recalled him after 1/2 year loan spell at Lilleström, where he scored 6 out of their 13 goals. On deadline day, Juventus put in a 8,5 mio bid for him. Ofcause the chairman insta accepted it. I threaten to resign and they dropped it. EDIT: btw its looking like we finished one part of this challenge Edited January 4, 2021 by Cheez3y
Raffen
Merthyr Town FC - Season 2024/25 Table | Squad | Transfers | Finances Switched to a 4-3-3 for most of the season, and it felt a lot more solid. With a lot of matches fairly even. Solid season in the league, ending up in a comfortable 11th place, which obviously was nice. The BIG story though was the extremely lucky run in the FA cup, beating regional leagues opposition in the first two qualifying matches, then winning 1-0 against league colleague Chorley at home in the 4Q, Then beat another league colleague Kidderminster after a replay in the first round. In the second round we drew Aldershot from the league above, which disappointed me at first. But we played a 4-5-1 formation, and drew 1-1 away before winning 1-0 at home with only 2 shots on target and 36 % possession. We were hoping for a Premier league side in the third round, but drew Nottingham Forest (Championship) away. They pummeled us, but it ended only 2-0 in the end. It brought in much needed revenue, which quickly got put into improving the youth facilities, as the board didn't want to spend more on recruitment. Kettering Town (5th in our league) played against Manchester City in the third round of the cup at home, after beating league 2 Northampton in the second round! With GK Absalom gone to ease the wage burden, Simon Basset 24j took over the reins as top performer! Team of the season featured mostly young, homegrown players. Camden Duncan is still our best striker though, with ok speed and finishing, and 14 OTB. Youth preview looked ok I guess, but we need central midfielders. Unsure what to make of the youth intake, with so many unambitious players. John Roberts 27a, Mike Davey 27b and Tyler Williams 27c looked the best to me, with half decent spread of attributes. Tom Long hardly has any attribute over 10, so really unsure if I can find any use for him. The work on youth facilities not done yet, so nothing new there so far. I'm hoping we can build on our 11th place finish this season, but a few players who were in my long term plans didn't want to sign new contracts since I didn't manage to find any clubs who wanted to loan them. A bit drastic in my view, as they probably will retire now, like all the others that left the club so far. I think we might head back to around 15th this season because of that. The bookies have us at 500-1 again, which is slightly unnerving.
Popular Post keeper#1
South Shields 2031-32 Season Review Fixtures 1, 2, 3, 4 - Very sluggish start as the team adapted from a 4-4-2 formation to a 4-3-3 formation. The offense started to come around after the new year but the defense struggled all season long. Thankfully GK Kevin Irving 28B was in net to bail us out and steal some points for us when needed. Final Table - We finished in 16th place which is a one place improvement over last season. Newcastle won the league on the last day over Ipswich who promoted automatically. Nottingham Forest's long wait to play in the Premier League is finally over after a 3rd place finish and a win in the playoff. Newly promoted Salford and Bristol Rovers go back down to League One straightaway and are joined by Swansea. Playoff Tree FA Cup - Reserves beat Stockport 1-0 in the third round before a 3-0 loss at Manchester City in the 4th round. League Cup - Newcastle made quick work of us in the first round xG General Performance - set piece s***housery is the reason for overperformance in xG goals per game vs actual goals per game. We didn't generate a lot of shots per game which is distressing. xG Actual Goals/Points vs Expected Goals/Points xG Attacking Efficiency xG Defensive Efficiency Player Stats 1 Player Stats 2 Transfers - A few small sales but the big sale was Samuel David 30A to Watford for 8.5 million Youth Intake Players to Watch: Morgan Price 32A Sean Dawes 32B Daniel Fisher 32C Ross Salkeld 32D George Hardy 32E 2031-32 Moments to Remember Best XI Accolades This is one of major reasons why we stayed up this season. Irving was forced to stand on his head most of the season. If we can cut those goals conceded down, we will be in good shape. Popular Post Tush
Finally finished the mental and technical preparations to join this challenge FK Inter Bratislava 2021 - start Slovak Second Division Manager Profile | Squad | Transfers | Facilities Intro: I've decided to join this club as it's one of my home town clubs. Two of clubs in Bratislava are actually playable from the start, one of them was however relegated on the same season as Inter was promoted The other club is a top Slovak club, Slovan Bratislava, a powerhouse I will hopefully overtake during this challenge Squad: A nice depth, I will have to retrain some players into new positions to better fit my tactics, but the current and potential ability may be enough for us to float above relegation in the upcoming years, maybe more! Transfers: 4 pre-arranged transfers before I took over as a new manager, these will go through and will be the last ones made. Facilities: Very poor stadium 600 all-seater ... It is not owned by the club, so maybe eventually we will be able to build something to house more than few hundred supporters. The Bratislava city certainly has a fan capacity for a larger stadium, considering the other top club in the city has a brand new 22k stadium. Regarding the other facilities, it's pretty basic, we will have to start from the ground and work our way up! Let's get into it then, wish me luck!
Sn00gle
Small promotion of my county in this challenge. In FM21 compare to FM20 they updated the league system that means there is no more Promotion and relegation group like you can know from my updates or one of my friends here. That makes Ekstraklasa top league in Poland with 18 clubs and they play 34 matches in season without Polish Cup, Super Cup and ofc European games. Without old system you have better chance to win the league. Why? Basicly becouse after old split the best teams in Poland have better squads after winter transfer market and as well they are not playing european league anymore and probably Polish Cup which mean that they had 7 extra matches with full power to get back to lead in table. In old fashion 3 teams are relegated in each tier. If thats not enough for you to try yourself in Poland like was said in this topic in Poland there is special system for playing youth called Junior System which at the end of the season you will get extra money to develop the club. Depends of the tier the money are bigger. What club should I take then? No worries there are few club with cool backgroud which will make your game fun;Motor Lublin - The club that have new chairman Mr. Jakubas which is Polish milionere and have 5 year plan to get to Ekstraklasa Stal Rzeszów - They lost last year playoffs with enemy no. 1 Resovia Rzeszów for Fortuna 1 Liga. Stal has a lot of money (don't know if that is applied in FM) which they spend for Youth Academy and coaching staff!! Bytovia Bytów - Called Black Wolfs. 2 seasons ago they got relegated in crazy situation where they goalkeeper in last minutes scored goal that allow them to stay in Fortuna but in second match result changed as well and even with that crazy goal by GK Witan they got relegated. Hutnik Kraków - Its hard to get this club (whole day of resets and still nothing). A club where mighty Jerzy Dudek spend some money for training grounds and academy to develop best youth in Kraków Garbarnia Kraków - Smallest club in Kraków (Don't forget about Cracovia and Wisla) which targets as fans family members. Small improvment on poor stadium they have but in history they reached biggest trophy in Poland once! Atm with big cash problems. GKS Katowice - Club in Poland with great history and they tried so hard to back to ekstraklasa and at the end... they get relegated (Whole Poland laughed at them) in same season with Bytovia and ehem the GK scored in last match vs. them xD With that on back time to back to Poland with Garbarnia Kraków (really wanted Hutnik but lets go): Edited January 5, 2021 by Sn00gle
DazRTaylor
End of Season Review Season 2032/33 SV Babberich League Table - We were always safe in mid table. We did struggle early on though recovered somewhat. League Fixtures 1 & 2 - Results were as you would expect for a mid table side. Losing four of the last five games was particularly deflating, however. TOTO KNVB Beker - We went out at the first time of asking, to Excelsior '31 who play in the league above, in the second preliminary round, despite being two nil up at half time. Pre Season Friendlies - Five wins and two losses represent a good pre season campaign. Squad - The players are still progressing so we continue to get stronger, albeit very slowly. Squad Dynamics - Still exceptional as everyone loves everyone else. Transfers In - None. Transfers Out - None. Youth Candidates - A poor intake with Boudewijn Steens YP33D180 looking like the best prospect. Finances - The cost of the youth academy hit home this year and we lost a lot of money. Key Players Olivier van Brakel YP23B18 - He has been first choice goalkeeper for a decade and is very consistent. Angelo Richard YP27C83 - Our best defender had another good season. Raymond de Vries YP30G135 - Playing on the left wing, he had another fine campaign. Jeroen Seedorf YP28D100 - The youngster replaced Ervin Sanches after his potential career ending injury with aplomb and made the right wing position his own. Erjon Bahtiri YP26A65 - An automatic selection in central midfield. Next Season The same again please. XaW
FS Massana - Youth intake 2030 A decent looking preview with more defenders, and I want more of those. Well, hello there, talented players! This is more like it! Some great talents in that bunch. A very talented Portuguese left winger. Seems to have a good attribute distribution and no weaknesses to his game as winger. Young Alberto is a really well rounded centre back! That row of 8s and 9s in mentals is... well, mental for a 15 year old! Statistics: Spoiler We did add England to the list, so it slowly grows!

DazRTaylor
I mentioned I had the Icelandic itch again so here we go. Popular Post XaW
FS Massana Season 2029/30 review Table | Squad | Transfers | Finances A very lovely season for us and one with some major breakthroughs as well! We did better than ever in Europe, and we also are turning professional this summer. So everything are going along just great. As usual we retained the league and cup, so we could continue to fill out the trophy cabinet. I did make some major changes to the squad this season, as lots of the "older" players who are now just not good enough were shipped out and replaced with even younger ones to gain experience for the future season. Being professional next season should really kick things off for us and I hope we can continue to make way in Europe. In the Copa Constitució we beat Ordino, Atlètic Escaldes and Inter Club d'Escaldes to retain the trophy. In the Champions League we beat Armenians Alashkert before getting thumped by Austria big dogs Red Bull Salzburg in the 2nd qualifying round. Then, in the Europa League we looked likely to beat Finish side FC Inter Turku, but really screwed it up by losing 0-4 away and getting knocked out in the 3rd qualifying round. Later, in the Europa Conference League we somehow edged out Danes Brøndby IF to go into the group stage! There we faced another Danish side in FC Nordsjælland as well as Belarusian side BATE Borisov and MFK Ružomberok of Slovakia. Unsurprisingly, we didn't make much waves there and lost most, but did draw at home to MFK Ružomberok and BATE Borisov at least as we finished last.

Philippe van Arnhem's, our best and most creative player by a distance, contract is expiring this season, so next season onwards we have to fully rely on youth. To be continued. DazRTaylor
End of Season Season 2022 Íþróttafélagið Hamar League Table - I should be pleased, finishing fourth, but it is a chance missed. League Fixtures - We blew our chance of the play offs after a poor run at the end of the season. Mjólkurbikarinn - We made it through to the second round before losing at home to Vikingur Ó., who play in the second tier, despite leading at half time. Lengjubikarinn C - We won our group, but lost at home in the quarter final to Björninn after extra time. Pre Season Friendlies - A mixed bag of wins and losses. Squad - We are very thin numbers wise, though those we do have are good enough. Squad Dynamics - As good as I could expect. Transfers In - None. Transfers Out - Just the one departure, for a youngster who rejected talks over a new deal and left for pastures new on a free transfer. Youth Candidates - An exceptional intake with Jón Vignir Hlynsson YP22G7 looking like the best player among them. Finances - We made a small loss this season, but we are still in the black. Key Players Magnús Ingi Einarsson - An absolute monster up front. He played 20 games and scored an astonishing 29 goals. Ingþór Björgvinsson - He dictated many games from the middle of the park. þór Jónsson - Playing on the right wing, he played above himself. Unnar Magnússon - A rock at the heart of defence. Brynjar Sigurbjörnsson - I retrained him to play on the left wing and he was excellent for the most part. Next Season A promotion push would be good. DJ Sir Matthew
SEASON 22-23 - VANARAMA LEAGUE NORTH Well, somehow with the same team that made the play-offs last season, we were predicted to end somewhere in the relegation zone. And they were right: But als wrong as point-wise we were never ever in danger of dropping, ending the season with almost double the points as the 2nd to last team: The last 10 games or so were played with youngsters only after it was apparent our move upwards came to a halt. The last game we won at Boston Utd with 1-5 (albeit against their B-team) I hope we are able to stay up next season as it will be a crucial one for fitting in the youth so they can take over in 2 years' time. Even if they are still only 17 by then. Cups Well, we are turning into a decent cup team I guess. FA Cup saw us go to 1st round proper where we were met with League One Team Wigan. We kept them home at 1-1 and earned a replay at DW Stadium where we lost 3-1. FA Trophy was played entirely with youth players to test them out. Still we reached the 4th round where we lost to Weymouth. Youth Development Another youth facilities upgrade sees us at Adequate Youth Facilities. Junior training and Youth recruitment are both at a good level. Hope to be improving all of them soon although the new director isn't very fond of it. (you might not know this but FCUM has voting every 2 years and until now everytime I got a new director to deal with). Future plans As described above, survive another season and have youth take over the season after that. Hopefully the batch is strong enough to push us higher up... On a side note, our star player Kian Smith was loaned out by Newcastle to League One outfit Coventry where he played 33 , scored 10 and took 4 Man of Match awards with him.
DJ Sir Matthew
And now just this came in, I guess that is good news for next seasons' intake: I do hope the youth intake gets more determined though, they seem to be lacking a bit in that attribute (maybe because HOYD only has a 7 for Determination)

ravenation
Gainsborough Trinity 7th season. 18th place Vanorama national league - FA cup 3nd round - FA-trophy Winner Again an extremely hard season - again in relegation battle. Record few goals scored and again our goalie kept a high average. In FA-cup we had good draw - but unfortunately had home game against Southampton in 3rd round. Income appx. 50.000 Euro - few seasons ago with Middelsborough away we made 200.000 Euro. We won the FA trophy after a 0-0 final - we seems compact at the back bu tas in the league - we just cant score enough goals. 49 goals in 46 matches is just not enough. We managed to get our training facilities improved. youth intake - nothing special - so we need stick with the players we have. I really find it hard to see how to promote at the moment from this division. 26 games out of 46 we didnt lose - 6 better than last season. But still - even with better players we dont seem to improve a lot season by season. I used more players in the first team - but had to stop my 10 player rotation match by match as it wasnt stable. My 2nd team is not near as good enough as my first. Edited January 5, 2021 by ravenation

Armeniar
Ligue 2 (13th) - Coupe de France (9th Rnd) Squad - U19 - Transfers Transfers: let some guys gain experience elsewhere and did our first real outbound transfer. Manu Cannet left for almost €90K to Valenciennes, where he would play with the second team for the rest of the season. He had a lot of potential according to my staff, but I didn't see it in him. I didn't know what to expect from this season. We were one level too high for the Championnat National, but I wasn't sure if we were going to make it in the Ligue 2. The season didn't start particularly well with three defeats in a row. After that, however, there was a victory on SM Caen's field and the train had left. A series of losses was usually followed by a small series of wins or draws. In January, for example, we won 4 times in a row, which was the deciding factor to distance ourselves from the relegation stress. In hindsight we actually had a quiet season when you look at the table, but it didn't feel like that. The guys gave all, with success! The 13th place is very nice for our first season in the French second division. Best players this year were goalkeeper Lenogue, who played his best year ever and regularly kept us straight, our rock in the back Bijimine and top scorer Bekhechi. Of the youngsters this season Leblanc and Bonin have developed enormously. Bonin is the example of how you can never write off a youth player too early. He only had 3,5 stars potential at first, but proved the staff wrong and did well with 4 goals and 10 assists. They are both boys who where here from the start of the game and are now together with Coskun the first generation to be in the first team more than regularly. By the way, our Turkish left back could go to Anderlecht in the winter for a considerable amount of money (1,9 mil), fortunately he stayed. I had already extended his contract until 2028, so I hope he's not going somewhere. Saint-Etienne are interested tho... Youth intake The preview talked about our first golden generation ever, so I had high expectations. These were certainly met, because a lot of talent flowed through again. We get a lot of guys who hopefully one day will be able to make it to the first team. The best, even if the rating would make you think otherwise, is Soler, a tall, either-footed defender. We could really use a central defender, so I'm looking forward to his development. Other promising players are Luxembourger Sousa (nice little new nationality in our squad, even realistic as Sedan is not too far from Luxembourg), goalie Rempp who could become our best one day, midfielder Guyot & attacking player Marechal. Next season Another year like this would be great. Some of the older boys will leave sadly enough, but we have to give the youngsters more and more chances. I would also like to upgrade the youth facilities once, it's about time
Cheez3y
Youth Intake 2029 An ok intake. Those two Iranians are lookin pretty good! 4 boys from Baerum, prob drove all in the same car. shaunvamos
Kecskeméti 2021/22 Season Review Survival was the only goal this season, and we did that. I thought it would have been a lot more comfortable, but fining players apparently annoys them, even if they deserve it, so our form plummeted going on a winless streak of around 10 games. But we recovered some form and avoided relegation. We even made the last 8 in the cup, before giving a good account against top Hungarian team MTK. Csaba Berta - Dan-Marius Constantinescu - Dávid Jakab I won't be doing the lineup summary properly until next season, there's a few tactical adjustments to make. Youth Intake Tibor Dlusztus 1A - Tamás Sebők 1B - Péter Bíró 1C* Nothing too exciting with this intake, and I didn't expect it to be. I was just looking for depth, and every player here adds to that. I've also decided to keep track of where my players come from, in the vein of others who have done so, although not as detailed as them (those maps are very impressive). I managed to upgrade coaching and recruitment so we should be getting better players next season. From what I can see we are the only club in the country with good junior coaching, and the only club with better coaching is MTK with excellent. Transfers No one in, no one out. Progress

Sokker14
Is there any reason to sell players? The contract of one of my best (youth) players is expiring in a year, at 17 year old, but apart from the team morale I don't see a reason to sell him now over keeping him. It's not like the money can be spent elsewhere.
Sn00gle
Garbarnia Kraków - Intake 2021/22 First intake in challenge. From what I see in my squad I need DR, potential GK, DM and Wingers. I don't expect a lot of quality as my facilities are poor. Personalities are poor and only Any ideas what to do with Kapsa? I mean he is looking for me like Defensive Playmaker but I want get opinion of the best managers around glob And I didn't think I would do that in Poland as that is hard to have someone foreign in Poland but in this case Spoiler
Armeniar
@Sn00gle Definitely not the winger you had in mind, unless you want him to send those crosses to everywhere except where you want them I'd say he is a central midfielder in a more defensive or supportive role, indeed. If he could improve his marking, he's an excellent DLP (Su/De) for your club. @Sokker14 There's no point in selling unless you need money. If he's not too bad and you're in the early stages of your challenge, you could maybe even sell him for more money than your current balance... It's also possible that you want to arrange a future percentage on a next deal, if you think he might be worth big money someday. Personally I prefer not selling players who run out of contract, as I refuse to believe he wants to leave until it's too late
