TerminalPortugal
1 hour ago, markcrd said: Guys i have a question: This is my team now, only 25 player, and have nothing in U20 and U18. Is it ok? Or should i change team/db? I would say early on it's not going to matter too much and if the Under 19s can contribute to the first team then the quicker you can improve overall in terms of results and they will get quick improvements (personality dependent) from playing first team football and getting good ratings. I generally followed the rule that if I had players with 5 star potential ability they went up to my first team unless that meant I had more than 2 or 3 player for that position. If you have 4 right wingers up, then its highly likely one isn't going to play an the third choice is also likely to play almost nothing so I would keep them down; at that point I would leave the weakest in the Under 19 team. One advantage you can start working on if you do keep them up is that if you have good personalities, start to mentor the players now. The other thing to keep in mind is when the Under 19s play, what I did in my recent Portugal save early on, is just unfiltered the first team to allow for the inclusion of Under 19 team players. But the issue sometimes is as you go up the leagues the matches can be played concurrently at the same time, so they might not be able to play for the first team even if you wanted to. So bear that in mind otherwise if they are included in the first team and dont play, they cant then play the Under 19 game. PS: Also one thing if you really want to min max things, and I only did this when I had been in the top division for several seasons, I sacked my Under 19 manager and made sure the high potential guys were playing the games in the Under 19 and Under 23 games. Some youth manager have a habit of favouring CA as opposed to PA, and while the effect of youth players playing is much less than the first team I found that if they didn't play then with middle to bad personalities they didn't develop. PandaQC
Minebea Mitsumi FC (Japan) - Season 12 - 2035 Very solid season. We were competitve across the board, winning the J.League Cup (second win in a row), losing in the Emperor's Cup final to Vissel Kobe and finishing second in the J1 League. This was our best season in J1 League with 83 pts. Most of the time this is good enough to win it all. But this year Vissel Kobe was flying with 90 pts and 99 goals (league all-time record) ! We lost in Quarter Finals of the AFC Champion's League for our first participation, against FC Tokyo. This was a little bit disappointing since I think we were the better team. But we are getting closer to our goal. J.League Cup Victory (again) !!! Spoiler Emperor's Cup Spoiler J1 League results Spoiler AFC Champions League Spoiler Youth intake Strong intake with a goal keeper (Narahashi 35.5). At last ! He is only 15 years old so I will probably wait one season or two before involving him in the first team. But he's the future at this position. Also I'm still getting small central defenders, and fast strikers (especially Shimura 35.2). I don't have any player above 179cm in this intake. I would really like having one or two big central defenders but they are extremely rare in this save. Attacking midfielder Nishiya 35.1 has already been added to the first team. Spoiler Finances and facilities Training facilties have been maxed out ! It cost us 5M+5M. That's a big investment but now we have the best facilities in Japan. Finances are strong because we have increased the average attendance by a lot and we are starting to sell some players. We are doing good. Squad We have so many players now that it is hard to choose which one deserves to make the team, which one should go on loan, which one we should sell. My best player Fukushima 32.5 wants to leave the club. I will do my best to keep him around but he has a 3M selling clause. Weak point is still the goal keeper position. I am playing two GKs but none of them is really progressing. They cost us a few games and got me very angry. Striker position is really strong and I consider changing my tactic to play two strikers. Young striker Nakamura 34.1 is only 17 years old but he's already one of my best player. I would not be surprised if he becomes the best striker in J1 League next year. Spoiler Transfers Some minor sells. And we loaned some players too. Nothing very interesting. Spoiler Next season preview I hope that next year we finally win our first J1 League title. Also the Champion's League semi-final would be a great achievement. I don't think we are ready to win the CL yet though. Also, I would like to improve the Youth Facilities. One challenge will be to keep my best players because other teams are getting interested. That won't be easy because there agent is putting release clause in their contracts. We will have to be very careful. Recap
libbyshuss
10 hours ago, markcrd said: Is it ok? Or should i change team/db? i think 25 is OK. I've started the challenge with far fewer players! It will sonn increase once youth intakes come in as well.

KingKCrush
CSC Ghiroda - SuperLiga - Romania - Season 5 - 2029 SuperLiga Spoiler That was our best season so far, at least if you look at the table only. We finished the regular season in a phenomenal 9th place, but things went downhill quickly in the relegation group. 5 defeats in a row almost cost us what we thought was certain safety from relegation. However, the team woke up in time and managed to avoid the relegation play-offs with a 5:1 win on the final matchday. This stress has certainly cost me 1-2 years of my life. Why am I doing this to myself again? Cupa Romaniei When it comes to the cup, we established a nice tradition: we play good when we are in the second division and we play like absolute dogsh*t when we are in the first division: we got the beaten in the first round in probably the craziest match I have ever seen: a red card after 60 mins, we score 6 goals and still loose in the end. Wow. Spoiler Youth Intake Last year's YI was a huge disappointment. Our facilities are very promising and our HOYD with its perfectionist personality is almost guaranteed to produce wonderkids. Their current abilities were excellent for their young age, but only one had a good personality and with the rest I was really unsure if they could ever reach their potential. I was really wondering how that could be possible and I then I remembered that my HOYD didnt want to be a HOYD but assistant coach. I offered him the assistant coach position and put HOYD as the second position. I guess that was the problem! So I hired a new HOYD with a Model Professional personality and the problem was solved: Spoiler We have two players (Pozinarea & Maftei) that will be promoted to the first team immediately and few very promissing players: #1 Liviu Pozinarea Already a top class striker for my team, with Resolute personality, reserved media handling and 5* Potential, he is the most promissing player in the team. His stats are great, the only downsides are his acceleration and composure, which we are working on. Spoiler #2 Sergiu Maftei Our fullbacks are arguably the worst positions in our team. Luckily we got Maftei! He can already play in the first team and has a fairly professional personality and 5* potential. A good player with a lot of room to grow. Spoiler #3 & #4 Mera & Iacob Currently not good enough for first team football but they will make the jump in 1 or 2 years for sure. Both have good personalities and good potential. Spoiler Im very happy with the intake. It will be very interesting to see how these guys will develop. Facilities and Finances We are in the process of building our new stadium, which is why the finances didn't look good. The board had to invest a total of almost 700k in the club to avoid being in the red. However, after relegation we got new sponsors and finally the big TV money. That helped me to convince the board to make further improvements to our facilities. At the moment we still have around 1 million in debt to the bank, but we also have 700k in our account and these fantastic facilities: Spoiler Youth Coaching is maxed. Youth recruitment only needs two more improvements before being maxed. However our training facilities are kinda bad so we should focus to improve these too. NielsPanis
Hi all, I just ended my sixth season in Croatia and got second place after HNK Rijeka. We will be playing Champions League Football, albeit the League Path Second Qualifying Round. I'm loving the save so far and I'm enjoying the beautiful goals we score. The mistakes I made in my Norwegian Save are avoided and thus I have a core of strong footballers. Yet, after six seasons, the "original" players are overtaken by the youth players. My best 11 only has 2 players left, a winger (2.5 stars - Good Second League) and a goalkeeper (2 stars - Decent Second League). The winger is putting in some solid numbers, with an average of 15 G/A in the league, and around a 6.9 average rating. The goalkeeper is just declining season after season, his masterclass in the first season in the Croatian First League won't be forgotten (12 of 36 clean sheets and 8 (!) stopped penalties) but he has no future in our club. None of the original players have a personality other than "Balanced" so I won't use them as a mentor. (1) How do you all work with this transition? They are taking the playing time of players with a PA higher than their current CA. Yet, it feels like I need some older players in the team. A squad with the oldest player being 21 seems just weird. (2) Last season I got a 4 gold-5 white PA goalkeeper through my YI with a Professional personality. Would it be best to wait 1 or 2 seasons until he is 18 and start him then? Or should I start him as quickly as possible? I'm still uncomfortable with player development at a young age. (3) Does anybody know how to get my youth team into the Croatian Youth League system? Some third-division clubs do have their youth team in this league. Based on reputation, we are the 8th team in Croatia. Orijent (In Youth League) is 28th. We are only playing friendly matches at the moment and winning most of them against teams that are in this CYL. (4) How do you all build your squad? Until now, I built the squad with the best 11, then all "Original" players, and then the youth prospects, so 22 players. Then 3 youth players with bad personalities but high CA, they won't grow so just for the depth in the squad. The problem is that it seems like the starting 11 players are growing, but the rotational players don't. It feels like a waste of their PA to keep them in the squad. These rotational players have on average 10 starts and 15 substitute appearances from the 60th minute, so 30 minutes minimum. With the "original" players leaving, there will be more young players on the bench. I'm worried it will stagnate their growth. If someone is interested in my save, I will post a Season Review after season 7. Have a nice weekend!

vikeologist
Vikeologist's Víkingur 2027 Report We were even better this season. We challenged for the title until right near the end. However, when it came to the playoffs we went out in the S/F right away. This time it was close. Fylkir scored their winner in injury time of the second leg. I don’t know if it’s the youth factor or my team have low pressure attributes, but we fold at the end of each season. This was the first season I thought we were ready for promotion. We could really do with going up next season if we’re not to lose players. It doesn't seem as though we're progressing when we keep finishing 4th, but believe me, we are. Youth Intake Another surprisingly good batch of players. Offered to contracts to all but the bottom 3. Oliver Erlingsson 27c is the player most likely to get straight into the first team. Small and fast compared to the rangy kid that’s been there this year. A decision for next season though, because I can’t register any of the intake until then. Jón Árnason 27a has a Perfectionist personality which I need to nurture, because I don’t have many players with good personalities. My HoYD is only Fairly Professional, as that’s the best personality I could get for that role so far. However, the personalities of this intake are quite pleasing, so maybe it’s a delayed HoYD effect. Squad With everybody fit, there are now 5 youth intakees in the first XI, with 4 on the bench. Top Goalscorer – Björn Axel Guðjónsson – 15 I hadn’t realised until now, but my 2 strikers had disappointing tallies. Kristófer Máni Atlason, my best striker, only scored 13. Unfortunately there’s nobody to challenge them. I’m going to retrain my 24a, who’s dropped to being my sub AMC, as a striker since I had a promising AMC come through in the intake. Highest Average Rating (minimum 10 matches played) – Björn Axel Guðjónsson – 7.14 Man of The Match – Björn Axel Guðjónsson – 5 Most Valuable Player– Hlynur Vilhjálmsson 25a Just 18, this central defender is probably already my best player. Already has itchy feet. I have a contract extension which ties him to us for 2 more seasons. Season Division Position Notes 2024 1 4th Finnish Cup Q/F, Playoffs S/F. 2025 1 10th Survived on last day of the season. 2026 1 4th League Cup losing finalists. GaAsBaN
Hey all. I'm gonna give this challenge a go. I chose to start in the UK, VNN. I chose the most interesting team I saw after promotions. I may have chosen poorly because I only have 17 players total at the club. So we'll see how this goes! Merthyr Town Massive starting roster. At least we're not in debt...yet. Decent park to start off with. Newly promoted, predicted to finish 20th. My amazing starting coach profile!
KlinkVB
SV Meppen 2° Season 3.Liga 25/26 The second season is here. And the Meppen boys FLY straight to the 2.Bundesliga. Great season that allowed me to win the manager of the year award. The best player in this year's class is... a guy named Tim Wiegand Unless the PA has a bug, this guy doesn't seem like much... I think other players can be more useful in the future, like Pesti Without signings, although not without departures. Missner's departure to Ligue 2 hurts because he was a starter. We will see how to replace it. See you next season on the new category

ajancsiii
Near the end of the third season, due to technical reasons, unfortunately, I cannot continue the Putnok save. Very frustrating because it went well and I put a lot of hours into it. I thought a lot about what other type of save to start after this, but it was so much fun that I realized that I only want to do this challenge, despite the fact that I have to start all over again. In any case, I want to start with a Hungarian team, so we will return to the Hungarian second division, this time to lead Békéscsaba 1912 Előre. Let's gooo! chsot68
2027\28 Season 4 is going pretty well. We are again challenging for the playoffs. This could be the year we make the cut. The year has also had some pretty great highs, and a few lows. First, the lowest bit is that we are going to lose our best player in the summer on a free transfer. He'd asked to be sold last spring, and we agreed a price, but were unable to move him. I was hopeful about resigning him because even though he didn't get sold his promise was showing green. However, a Trinidadian club has swooped in and signed him to a precontract. So to the youth team he goes while I get his replacement some game time. Totally a bummer. Now the good news. We made the FA Cup Third round! We got there by absolutely smashing League 1 Stockport at home 4-2, and it wasn't that close. The lads and fans really showed up for the occasion, and earned us a trip to Newcastle for the third round, and nearly a $1m payday. Of course they absolutely smashed us, but we did get a nice consolation goal scored by a newly emerging BBM. The tie with Newcastle also has our form on the ropes, but now that all the cup competitions are out of the way I am hoping for a strong finish to the season. Also along the way we've also fielded our first 11 full of newgens, and cashed in a future clause on Huws for nearly $1.8m, so even after committing $900k to training ground improvements we are sitting at nearly $2.5m in the bank! I've asked for youth facility upgrades as well, but the board hasn't come back on that yet. We also got our intake preview, and we may have a decent GK coming through! Fingers crossed. Will check in later. I've got a 3 day weekend this week so hope to make some good progress. Thanks for reading! -R
toshimitzou1
And it begins! Looks fun. FC Jazz were disbanded and eventually have reclimbed the Finnish pyramid with their youth team before changing back to FC Jazz. Former Finnish league champions in 1993 and 1996 they are a 'fallen giant'. Under my guidance, how long will it be before they can rise back to the top? Let the challenge begin.

They are taking the playing time of players with a PA higher than their current CA. Yet, it feels like I need some older players in the team. A squad with the oldest player being 21 seems just weird. it is weird but it's also how I tend to do it. If the legacy players don't have stupid wages I usually keep them around as subs/squad players but more often than not my entire first team XI is under 21 at that stage On 16/02/2024 at 14:27, NielsPanis said: (2) Last season I got a 4 gold-5 white PA goalkeeper through my YI with a Professional personality. Would it be best to wait 1 or 2 seasons until he is 18 and start him then? Or should I start him as quickly as possible? I'm still uncomfortable with player development at a young age. depends, but if he's better or as good as your starting keeper then I'd play him. My first team keeper at the minute is only 17, purely because his potential far outweighs my old keepers CA. Sometimes it really pays off to throw them in the first team really young and you can only really tell by playing them! (my 17 year old keeper is averaging over 7.0, i'm happy with that!) On 16/02/2024 at 14:27, NielsPanis said: (4) How do you all build your squad? I do it just like you do! the only difference is for those rotational players with high PA I'll send out on loan when they're 19/20. I like to keep a few rubbish players around just for squad depth as well as I'd much rather send a 19 year old 4 star PA player out on loan where he'll play regularly than on my subs bench. My subs bench tends to be the older players or lower PA players I also send out 2 and 3 star PA players out on loan if I have a fairly big squad - every now and then one comes back with a 4 star PA and become a really useful first team player 15-18 year olds stay in the youth squads unless they look really, really good On 16/02/2024 at 14:27, NielsPanis said: If someone is interested in my save, I will post a Season Review after season 7. Gundo
Hallo all! Still reading about everyone’s great youth adventures in this thread – KUTGW! Just a quick note to say attempt number four (I think it’s four, I’ve lost count) with Frigg Oslo is going steady. Just about to start season 7, and I’m a perennially mid-table finisher in the Norwegian Second division (third tier). It may not sound like much but after so many relegation dog fights, it’s a welcome change. It’s also been super cool to see the newgens progress and really whip the team in to something more hopeful. Now that I’m steady, I’ll try and post some small seasonal update dating back to the beginning. Heia Frigg!
Popular Post libbyshuss
Lyra Lierse - Belgium Pro Jupiler League - 2035/26 League finish: 6th Championship Phase finish: 6th Really good season for us, took me a bit by surprise. We finished 6th which meant we qualified for the championship group. The top 6 teams are put in a league togerher and their points halved. they then play each other twice and the winner is champion. So, bizarrely, we had a shot at both the title and Champions League qualification! We won three of our ten games in the championship group and missed out on the European Play-off game by 1 goal! Players Top Goalscorer: L de Pauw 26C (24 goals in 36 games) Got himself injured for the last few games of the season and we missed him. Easily our best striker now and, at 26, our most experienced player Player of the Season: A Vandenheede 30C (7.21 AR in 28 games) Nowhere near as good as he has been in previous seasons but still good enough to be our best player My best XI is looking both very good and very young. It's quite exciting! Youth I was very excited now we've maxed out youth intake but both the preview and intake were really disappointing... Finances During the summer I got a message that Monaco triggered the minimum release fee clause of my 18 year old left back Lewis Niro 32B. At 8.75m, I wasn't too upset about losing any future fee clause. Plus, he was only a left back So I had a choice: do I keep the money and stay financially viable for a couple of season or do I spend it all on as many upgrades as I can? Well.. I asked for a training facility improvement and the said no, only to come back to me a few days later and ask me this:- yes. yes it is what I want. So it meant I finished the season in the red again but looking much, much better off the pitch. I still need to sell to survive though, annoying as that is. With the perfectionist personalities they will develop rapidly I would imagine. Apologies, completely missed this! Macdonald and Simon. This is a year on and I've just sent them out on loan to FC Edinburgh/Edinburgh City (they play in the league below). Simon's unfortunately gone Balanced, but Macdonald is still a perfectionist. FC Edinburgh are actually proving incredibly useful for me at the moment, I tend to send my best 3 youth players there every year and they're getting playoffs every year. Zhelyazkov, Massamba, Martin, O'Donnell were all there out of my starters at the moment.

corinthiano
Ajax Lasnamäe - 2025 Season Report What a bottle job. We were sitting top by 6 points with 6 games to go. We weren't really that convicing all season but I thought we had enough to go up. 6 games later we were trounced by Maardu and Laanemaa, picked up only two points and missed out even on a promotion playoff. Very disappointing end of the season, but may be best for us to spend another season in the third tier consolidating the squad. Squad by Appearances It was nice to have more options to rotate and we did give some of the youngsters game time. By the end of the season 3 of last year's intake were in the first XI. Really concerned with GK as the 38 year old Andreev declined a lot this season and all the youngsters are pretty rubbish. Top Player - Jevgeni Bodrin: Our best player again with an impressive amount of assists. Spoiler Youth Players Very underwhelmed with this intake. Rubbish personalities and only two players go into the Senior Squad. Spoiler Transfers Forgot to show this last season so both seasons are here. Only let go one of the original squad this season as he was down the pecking order at RB. Spoiler Infrastructure Only request approved, we are at Average now. In the end it was a stadium expansion, almost doubling our capacity for 50k seems like a decent deal now. Finances No losses this season, mostly thanks to an additional 10.5k sponsorship. Progress Disappointing not to be promoted but may be a blessing in disguise as we don't feel ready for the second tier yet. toshimitzou1
Very promising start. Smashed out a ton of friendlies before the start of the season to get us at full tactical familiarity. Pretty much completely ignoring training atm due to our part-time status. We've convincingly won our first game of the season against a team that finished third last term: Running this set-up: For the following reasons: Using the team comparison tool I spotted the following: - Despite being ranked lowest in almost all overall categories (Physical, Mental, Technical etc.) there were some usable outliers. We have the highest aggression in the league but also the lowest bravery! In addition, we have terrible comparative composure and concentration levels with above average levels of teamwork and workrate. This steered me away from sitting to deep and also resulted in a slightly higher choice of tempo ( negating poor composure and concentration by moving the ball faster than standard). This led to the choice of TI's High Press in conjunction wit Stay on Feet. Trap Inside due to stronger numbers in the middle of the park and the shape was chosen based on my squad depth. In addition, despite our low level, all four of our wide players have decent crossing ability, ranging from 9 - 13, thus enabling a focus down the flanks, in order to utilise our strength and bring numbers closer to the point of delivery when a crossing chance emerges. Early days and only one victory but, a promising start.
toshimitzou1
No surprises here due to low quality of existing squad. Youth preview looks good: Really need a striker though! Popular Post XaW
Asia is done, finally! Since the final is mid-season, I decided I'd resign as soon as I won it, and we did this season! Shankly84
About to start my 5th attempt at this challenge on this version of FM. It's been so frustrating this year. Everyone roughly finished whereabouts they should finish, with Celtic and Hearts underachieving quite a bit here. We had a bit of a shocking start (8 points from the first 7 games) which meant we lost ground on Hibs who almost led from start to finish. We're now at the point where we've got one of the best defences in the league finally (it helps when you're able to keep your players!) with the back-ups being of a decent enough standard to sub in as well. We finished poorly as well which didn't help, although reasons for that are below... Europe: Still not the big trophy, but we're getting closer and closer every few years! Results: Reveal hidden contents We lost 3 games in the Europa League and somehow both of them were to teams that I really shouldn't have been losing to! We really should have breezed past Betis in the Semi Final too, but we surrendered a 2-0 lead to somehow lose 4-2 and then blew them off the park in the return leg in Scotland. On first glance, facing Liverpool in a European final, I expected a bit of a battering considering my record against English sides. However they're actually a mid-table team at the moment, only getting into Europe by finishing 7th, only 2 points ahead of 11th! We left it a liiiiitle bit late, but Zhelyazkov is becoming a bit of a hero for us! Top scorer in the Europa League itself with 14 goals, he left his most important 2 till the last moment! I'd have actually been incredibly disappointed if we lost considering how tight it was. Cups: In the words of a great poet, "Oops, I did it again!". That's 4 consecutive Scottish Cups for us now. We're apparently a cup team now. Might actually help in the Champions League if we can get out the League Phase next year! We're still not good enough to go far in the main cup though, so anything past the Round of 16 in the Champions League would be a success for us really. Youth Intake: Although what does help is a rather decent intake! 2 Full 5 star potentials, both with Perfectionist personalities? Loving. It. Cameron Macdonald and Bede Simon both look rather decent, although the last few prospects we've had like this haven't actually got anywhere close to decent ability so I'm a bit more cautious now! They will obviously be helped by our beloved Solomon Frimpong in the under 18s whilst he finishes his career. He's still not fallen off from the last screenshot (although the physicals are starting to go). Still popped up with another 11 goal season in 32 league games, so he's still very useful. He's also on 969 total appearances for the club, so there might be some lovely 90th minute sub appearances for him next season to get him to the 1000 mark! Full History: Reveal hidden contents Last 5 Years: 2060/61 Season Report Club: Tranent FC (Scotland) League: Scottish Premiership League: Miss out on the title by 3 points, agony! The league is actually settling down now thankfully. I'd mentioned a couple years back that I felt that Hibs were probably the best side in Scotland and now they've bagged consecutive titles. Rangers are getting closer to that drop zone though.... There's not actually much to comment here - it was actually a fairly straightforward season as you'd expect a team like us to have! Europe: This was actually quite painful when I was playing the Round of 16 game, but looking back we got a very very fortunate draw in the League Phase I think. We only lose 1 match in Europe and it's the one that counted the most! We're helped a lot by having quite a bit of depth now so we can challenge the bigger clubs a bit more, but we're still quite a way off getting even close to the final I think. Cups: So close to doing the double in cups! We finally let go of our stranglehold on the Scottish Cup, losing to Hearts on penalties. Youth Intake: No screenshot for this year sadly. May have forgotten to take it, apologies! This is our current 15 and 16 year old players (I've taken this in August of the following season, so we've loaned out 3 players from this): Bede Simon still progressing quite well and I've sent him out to FC Edinburgh/Edinburgh City for the year. I'm hoping the year of regular football will do him as well as it did Zhelyazkov! Other News: Solomon Frimpong has done it! He has made it to over 1k appearances for the club at the age of 39. He actually doesn't seem too bothered about retiring and he is being helped by us not being able to keep our wingers too much (and he's a handy poacher up front!). We are technically the 13th best club in Europe. Which is probably a bit higher than what I see myself, but it can kind of being seen what I'm testing myself up against. That loss against Man Utd in the round of 16 probably shouldn't be seen so badly... Last 5 Years: No full history any more, this saves gone on that long you won't be able to see most of the information!
vikeologist
Vikeologist's Víkingur 2028 Special Report Special mid-season (well, 6 matches before the end) update. We’ve won the Icelandic Cup, which means that we’re in the Europa Conference League (2nd Qualifying Round) next season. It’s maybe not as amazing as it sounds for a non-Premier league side to win it. Keflavik did it 4 seasons ago. Fat lot of good it did them. They’ve not even come close to promotion since. However, even if we go straight out, which I’m sure we will, it’s a lot of money and will wipe out our debt. It’s also brought in a little bit of extra money this season. I haven’t spoken much about facilities. So far we’ve upgraded Youth Recruitment and Junior Coaching, but all our other facilities are rock bottom. Hopefully we can upgrade something with the money. It has to be said that the cup run has hindered our league campaign. Both the semifinal and final went to extra time, and my team is extremely jaded. But, as I say, 5 matches to go, and we’re in a playoff spot with a good chance of title. Also, TIL that I’m managing in Iceland, after referring to Finland throughout all my updates so far. karax268
Çankaya FK 2039/2040 Season Review On the Field Europe Our first exposure to Champions League Football lasted two games. Monaco embarrassed us at home. Though two late goals for us gave some hope for the second leg. The comeback did not happen and we went back to the Europa League. We had a relative easy schedule and had no problem qualifying for the round of 16. Hearts did not pose a threat, but in the QF we were bested by Augsburg. We had beaten them in the league phase but could not repeat that. Two 1-1 draws and a goalless extra time sent us to penalties which the Germans took better. Ziraat Türkiye Kupası Also lost in the Quarter finals. Also to Penalties. Spor Toto Süper Lig . Fixtures prt 1 | fixtures prt 2 We had a bad start to the season. We recovered and finished the season well, but Beşiktaş was strong all season. We came in 4th this year, but only two points off from 2nd. Not a bad season at all. U19's Champions again. The future is bright in Ankara. Squad Player of the season: Hakan Bayarslan Once again it will be Hakan. Less goals this year but more assists. Top scorer. Mürsel Karataş For the first time since we are in the top tier we have a striker that scored more than 20 goals. Young player of the year: Mert Balcı 13 goals and 7 assists as a backup in his first year. Youth intake Some decent talent coming our way. These in particular have our hopes up. Board Transfers | Finances three major transfers this year. For Ertugrul and Berat it was time to go. They've been great for years but have been surpassed by the new generation. Cengiz forced the move. I would have loved to keep him but it was not to be. Next Season. We need more consistency. Especially in defense. Against top teams we are very vulnerable.
Riebow
Olot UE Season Review (38/39) League One more win than last season and another 4rd place finish. This was the first season where we were able to both beat Real Madrid and Barcelona (their only loss this season!), but at the same time we would drop points against the bottom teams of the league. Our defense is still very poor, conceding more goals than some teams in the bottom of the league. The loss of our GK Jan Catala a couple of seasons ago still hurts (even more because he's just riding the bench at Atl Madrid). I'm still very much enyoing the save, but good lord how will I ever be able to best Barcelona in their current state? Copa Unfortunate to draw Barcelona in the quarter finals. We gave them a good game, but they were once again too strong Spoiler Europe Our first season in the Champions League and it went... badly. I want to say I mostly played a rotated squad, but we played our best XI against Man City and got absolutely destroyed. It's safe to say we're still a couple of seasons off. Spoiler Youth intake The preview looked amazing. Promising Full-Backs? Yes, please! In the end the most promising players are again in the more attacking parts. I'm dissapointed about the personalities coming through, which makes me think I should switch HOYD. I love the addition of two more Belgians though Spoiler NXGN Henry Ike(AMLC/STC; Fairly Professional) wins the NXGN-award for the 2nd consecutive year. He's joined on the list by Emili Puigoriol (LB; Spirited) and Sami Briand (DM/MC/AMRC; Fairly Professional) Henry Ike Spoiler Emili Puigoriol Spoiler Sami Briand Spoiler Best XI I'm not sure what to make of Emili. We concede way too many goals and he has already peaked. Unfortunately there's no-one at the club to challenge him at the moment; Puigoriol took over at LB in the 2nd half of the season and is progressing nicely. My most promising CB (Antoni Juvanteny) is not on the list as he was injured for 3 months, but he's about the only CB with 5 star PA. Delfi is our metronome in midfield, just an amazing mezzala. We might see some more competition for the other 2 spots in central midfield. Alejandro is still progressing at age 24, which is nice to see. However, now he has half of the saudis chasing after him. Henry Ike is our new wonderkid, but wants to leave the club. I dismissed him and now he's upset. He still has 4 years left on his contract so I hope he will change his mind by then Spoiler 5 Years ago... Not an amazing intake to be honest. Of the players coming though only Josep Lluis Puigdollers is a regular starter and that's mostly because of the lack of talent at CB. Lu Carrasco is a good squad player with room for improvement. Vitinho has promise, but had two major injuries this season. He's a borderline squad player, but I will probably look for another loan opportunity. Miquel Angel Puigmal looked like the best prospect, but never developed and is now at Vallecano B. The other 5 star potential player, Sergio Alvarez, has the same issue: he's not really developing despite playing plenty of football out on loan. Spoiler Next Season: We keep going. We still haven't won any silverware. The copa del rey is probably the most realistic, but we would need a season where Real Madrid/Barcelona bows out early. In the league we will keep competing for Champions League football. In the Champions League we will try to do a bit better than last season. Vamos!
Popular Post BustaRaymes
FC Vaajakoski 2038 Finnish Premier League Europe: Not as good as last year, but we learned a lot. The European games are bang in the middle of an already pretty congested part of the season when you're still in the cup. In the end it cost us dearly, dropping way too many points in the league and crashing out against a beatable Istra. The money was welcome though. Squad A good first season for Kähkönen. This guy is going to be our goalkeeper for the forseeable future and is developing nicely. Mattila is tunring into a nice player of which I'm not sure if we need him at DM or CB. I think the former one. One of our newer stars is Koski. He came in as a 3rd option at DM but has been developing quickly and got himself a starting spot. Kokkonen is another one to watch for the next years, coming off the bench a lot as IW on the left. Lähderinne had a class season and is going to leave for Napoli, who are loving us as they popped up following multiple players. Transfers Ahonen and Ojanperä left for good money and a big sell-on, they are the first group that left hoping for a cash influx so we can take the next step. Youth intake A slight let-down this season. I'm not complaining though, we've had so many good players come through that our HOYD has built up some credits. Maggi is very welcome as we could use a left back. Nizeyimana has the style I like from a GK, I'm curious to see if and how he develops.
