You're a legend, but if that's a starter for you I understand why the Premier league is a struggle! He should have been put out to pasture a couple seasons ago :(  I'd love a quick summary of your youth prospects over the past 10 years, there must be some gems in there.

Yes his stats are awful but we really don't have much better. I am playing he less in the PL now

If you think he is bad, you should my GK and 4 first choice defenders :onmehead:

Genuinely fear for you if they're worse. Are there no youngsters with decent potential?

@Padders you're even more of a legend for sticking through with such terrible players. I don't think I could get out of League 2 with those lot :( Have you considered picking for pace, acceleration, jumping and free kicks?

Yes do try to look at those and determination

With your facilities, HoYD, and country you are either really unlucky or these players aren't developing... Fortunately your last intake has a bunch of youngsters coming through, I'd be tempted to simply jettison any 3 star PA players over 21 (PA estimates tend to be more accurate then) and take a chance on the youngsters.

Can't make my mind up whether to continue with this save and see if we can dominate Tanzania/Africa and maybe one day win the club world cup or if I can sneak aother save in before the new one. Maybe something in an obscure Asain nation.

Season 10 Review

SC Westfalia Herne

League Table

A safe lower midtable finish. Offensively we were great scoring tied for 4th most goals but defense is a worry as we also conceded 2nd most goals. In the German Cup we were out in the 3rd round losing 2-6 against RB Leipzig.

Römling will probably be trained to right back and will see some game time there when he can be registered.

Dalum 2030/31

5th year in the Danish 3rd division. Muddling along, no real progress. We keep finishing lower middle of pack. We have absolutely no money, so can't extend youth recruitment and can't upgrade any facilities or go semi-pro. My only hope now is to keep trying different tactics and hope one of them will help get us into the promotion fight at least.

League Season

After some dodgy kit clashes last season, we went back to the yellow home kit.

The community shield ended with a 3-1 loss to Young Africans.

We flew out of the blocks in the league this year. We played Young Africans away in our 11th game smashing them 4-0 and making it 33 points from 33. We also beat Simba earlier in the season.

11GAMES.PNG.11de6ee16539d79bce40bc01c19f1402.PNG

In game week 17 we beat JKT Tanzania 8-1 away top open up an 11-point gap at the top and keep our 100% record going.

game 11.PNG

The form continued and even Young Africans couldn’t stop us, beating them 3-1 at home to make it 25 wins from 25 games. It was starting to look like we could go the whole season 100%, but we only managed a draw away at Simba. This meant we only needed a point to win our 2nd title.

simbaaway.PNG.75bfa5d97a69cf35740cb590879c2ee2.PNG

Next up was Namungo away and despite throwing away a 2 goal lead, we got the point we needed to bring the title back to the Uhuru Stadium.

namungoaway.PNG.d8614c4b4adce08c52ca8d0c48544837.PNG

The goal now was to get through the league season unbeaten. We managed it beating Mashujaa and Geita Gold and drawing away at Mtibwa (with the players’ minds elsewhere!!).

CAF Champions League

Going into this I was confident after winning the CAF Confederation Cup 2 years running. We started off against Somalia’s Jeenyo United and brushed them aside, 11-0 on aggregate. Next up was Al-Merreikh Omdurman of Sudan and this was more comfortable, winning 15-0 on aggregate.

qualcl.PNG.0bbf1fd77d30e73d7c84886be7e04039.PNG

Into the group stage, we Petro Atletico 2-0 away, Stellenbosch FC 5-2 and Sundowns 6-2 away to make it 9 from 9. A 4-1 win away at Stellenbosch was followed up with a disappointing 1-1 draw at home to Petro Atletico and our first loss at home to Sundowns but it was a good group stage, and we were through to the quarter-final.

clgroup.PNG.3c43d42511e085fb624669d94ba19f7f.PNGGrouptable.PNG.69ea768f62ea938ad40b141a86e6634e.PNG

Al-Ahly up next who had knocked us out in a previous year on away goals. We can score away goals too and we did in this tie. 9 of them!! We won 9-3!! The home leg not quite as good, but a 5-2 win meant we were through 14-5 on aggregate.

alah9-3.PNG.89cb26dff5a6c848c42af1a863f286d5.PNGqfres.PNG.1c1603d9172cf38bf063b58a7589eb6e.PNG

ASEC Mimosas in the semi-final. We were by far the better team over in the Ivory Coast, but their 4 shots all went in, and our keeper ended with a 5.6. Abdallah came off the bench to reduce the deficit in the 92nd minute to 4-2. That could be a big help for the 2nd leg.

sf1leg.PNG.2e7ecc34ad18af003b83d325dbcf2ebe.PNGsf2leg.PNG.d68c7ddf099b5f658b77d9b6c214093a.PNG

In front of over 21,000 we flew out of the blocks and found ourselves 3-0 up at half time. Like the first leg, they scored from all their shot on target. Luckily this time, they only had one. We had 17 and put 4 of them away to win 4-1 and book our place in the final!!

The final was a two-legged affair and unlike the CAF Confederation was home and away and not neutral. The first leg was at home, and we filled every seat for a 25,000 sell-out. The opponent would be Wydad Cassablanca of Morrocco.

clfinalxx.PNG.440ae710f1abb861a7de6a3ece4ee453.PNG

Despite being the better team, we went 1-0 down to a penalty in the 23rd minute. We bounced straight back blitzing them with 3 goals in 6 minutes from Mwinyi, Seif and Omar. A great first half! We came out for the second half and didn’t hold up, with midfielder Omar adding a 2nd for him on the night and a 4th for us. 4-1. They continued to push though and on 76 Mansouri pulled another one back but 7 minutes later young full back Shaibu came on to add a 5th and give us a 5-2 lead for the 2nd leg in Morrocco.

final1.PNG.ca4c0f9d085da5adddcfb270383bdd85.PNG

Just keep it tight, quieten the crowd and grow into the game. That was plan. It was out of the window after 6 minutes. Soudani scored on 3 and in the 6th minute it was 2-0 Wydad and they were only a goal behind already. Disaster! We are always a threat these days though and 16-year-old Tanzman smashed home in the 8th to make it 2-1. Almost straight away Razzi goes down the other end and makes it 3-1. This isn’t going to be easy! Mwinyi has the ball in the net but VAR rule it out and just 6 minutes later Razzi adds his 2nd and its 4-1 Wydad. We are now level on aggregate and its not even half time. We are creating chances of our own though and on 40 Tanzman smashes home again to put us back in front on aggregate. Just keep it tight now is the message, but Wydad have got other ideas. Right on half time we give a silly Pen away and up steps Razzi to complete his hattrick and cancel out our first leg result by half time. Its now 7-7 on aggregate. We decide the best form of defence is to attack and we go at them 2nd half. The game is going from one end to the other as we go into the last 10 minutes still tied at 7-7 and then Soudani looks like he’s won it for Wydad with just 5 mins to go. This is sickening. But wait. VAR are looking at something and it’s found to be offside. Phew!!! The game is drifting to extra-time and the players are knackered when all of a sudden, the ball drops to our substitute Mgosi in the box. He composes himself and fires home for a 93rd minute winner!!!!!!!! It’s a 5-3 loss, but it’s the greatest victory in the club’s history. We are Champions of Arica!!!

CAF Super Cup

2nd year running we face Wydad Cassablanca. This is becoming a bit of a rivalry! We manage to get over the line in a tight game, with Abdallah’s 11th minute goal enough to win the trophy.

Tanzanian Federation Cup

It’s been 5 years since we won this, and it was time to put this to an end. We had favourable draws all the way up to the final where we would face old rivals Young Africans. Just one week after winning the Champions League we got some revenge for all those beatings they have given us over the years. We smash them 7-1!! We were 6-1 up at half time and part of me was hoping for 10, but 7 will do. All of them years when we couldn’t get near them and now we embarrass them in a final. Wonderful and a quadruple for the season.

THE PLAYERS

Godfrey Bakari

What a player he has been for us. Another 27 assists and 9 goals, plus an average rating of 7.85.

Mohamed Shaibu

New kid on the block. Bakari reincarnated. Another left winger being retrained as a left back and he managed 14 assists and a 7.59 av rating in 16 starts.

Ramadhan Sekule

Has made the DM role his own now and has pushed legend Shabani out of the team.

Michael Omar

Another one developing at a fast rate. Still only 18, but 28 goals and assists from DM.

Ramadhani Ali

Continues to smash it on the right of midfield.

Joseph Rogers

16-year-old back up for Ali. 7.53, 8 goals and 13 assists in his first season.

James Tanzman

Wow! What a player he is going to be. What a player he already is! 16 years old and 22 goals, 21 assists and an average rating of 7.97. Also came 2nd top scorer in the Champions League from attacking midfield.

Ali Mgosi

Needs a shout-out. Now a backup player but still scored 17 in 19 and of course bagged what proved to be the winner in the Champions League final.

Hassan Abdallah

Another one who is now a backup but continues to deliver. 19 goals in 25.

Omary Mwinyi

Probably my favourite player of the save. Another great season, not as many games due to rotation but scored 29 in 26 starts and an average rating of 7.96. Won this years CAF Inter-Club Player of the Year

inter club player of the year.PNG

Emmanuel Mnyamani

Another one who is developing into some player. 36 in 35 and 7.77 average rating.

SEASON REPORT

CHALLENGE COMPLETE!!! After 18 seasons and despite only winning two league titles we did it. We done it in style as well, going unbeaten in the league, winning the CAF Super cup for the 2nd year running, battering Young Africans 7-1 in the cup final and winning the Champions League with an injury time winner!!

I really want to try this save with Honduras or Venezuela (2 countries I've lived in and have connections with still). But how?

Any ideas for a database, and how that would work??

The database I used didn't have didn't have promotion between tiers in Venezuela. Don't remember which one it was but it was one of the big megapacks. Was choosing between them and Ecuador for my save until I discovered that.

Yea, I tried the Leagues Megabuck by qwert2 from fmscout but couldn't get pro/rel to work in Venezuela either. Bummer!

I did a Honduras save a month or so go, there is a link to the custom DB I downloaded. The rules about playing youth players bothered me otherwise I’d have continued.

Got my wires crossed. After looking back I could see it was my Croatia save that was bothering me. I don’t think there was anything in Honduras in particular I just wasn’t feeling the connection I guess.

Being promoted into a new tier is always exciting, as you never know how big the difference between the divisions are. For the step we made over the summer, it's certainly a higher level, but not at a level we can't deal with, at least this season. Sure, a few of the players who did well for us at the lower tier are clearly out of their depth now, but at the same time, a lot of the youngsters are stepping up and doing quite well. Of course, we can do far better than this season, but it's still a good and solid first season at a new tier. In the First Stage we did ok, but noting spectacular as we finished mid-table. Since only the top 4 went on to the Promotion Stage though, we were put into the Relegation Stage, but finishing 6th in the First Stage gave us a head start with 5 bonus points. To explain it, the team finishing 5th the First stage starts with 6 bonus points, the 6th place get 5, 7th get 4, etc down to 1 point for 10th. In the Relegation Stage we did much better against the presumably worst teams in the division and finished top of the group on goal difference. So we are essentially the best of the bad teams, but I'll take it.

Taça de Portugal: We beat Freamunde before we lost to Famalicão in the 3rd round.

Best players from the academy:

Diogo Lamas 25c - Another great season from probably the best player at the club. He is now wanted by a few top flight teams, but I have him on a contract for a while, so I hope to keep him.
Joelson 25e - Now a first choice right winger, and he does well. Still missing a bit of the output in terms of goal contributions.
David Plácido 26e - Mostly a sub in midfield, but does really well when he gets his chances.

New club records:

Most league apps for the club - Nelson Henrique - 154 apps
Most league goals for the club - Kinglord Safo - 33 goals
Oldest player - Neto - 33 years, 144 days
Youngest goalscorer - Rúben Machado 27f - 15 years, 328 days

Due to lack of finances, there were no improvements accepted this season. Though the board has decided that we need a new stadium in the future some time, but no details so far.

Sociedad Deportivo Quito - Review Season 4

Just about everything that could go right went right this season. After we trudged through the opening stage, I thought we were going to miss continental qualification so focused on the prize money available in the current Copa Sudamericana campaign. We earned 300k in performance bonuses for our 3 wins in the group stage, another 500k for playing in the Knock Out Playoff Round, then a final 550k for losing in the Second Round to eventual winners Sao Paolo. That success buoyed our performance in the second stage so much so that we ended with a 10-3-2 record and won the entire thing, securing us a place in the finals despite finishing 3rd in the overall table.
In Ecuador, the winners of both stages play a one game final for the league title, and our matchup against Barcelona S.C. went all the way to penalties after Juan Loor 03b scored an 84th minute goal to tie it off the bench. Jerry Pineda 03h saed a key pen and we won, ticking off one part of the challenge!

Kavala Football Club / Αθλητικός Όμιλος Καβάλα

Season 41 - 2064/65

Fixtures / Squad / Transfers / Finances / Manager

Season summary: It wasn’t our best performance in the league this season. We dropped too many points in the regular phase against teams we should have been beating, and as a result, we found ourselves 12 points behind PAOK heading into the championship phase. Although we managed to turn things around, losing only once in the last 10 games, it wasn’t enough to overtake PAOK. They secured their 10th Super League title, finishing 5 points ahead of us.

However, we did have success in the Greek Cup, claiming our 7th title. We fought our way to the final by defeating Chania, Olympiacos, and PAOK, and in the final, we came out on top with a 2-0 victory over Aigaleo.

Our main focus this year was the Champions League. It was a bit of a rollercoaster, with some brilliant moments, like our 5-0 win against Dortmund and a 3-0 victory over Barcelona, but we also suffered defeats to Benfica, Athletic Bilbao, and Fenerbahçe. We still managed to qualify for the knockout stages, where we faced 6-time champions FC Porto. After two thrilling games, we won on penalties, only to face PSG in the Round of 16. Despite winning the first leg at home, we couldn’t hold onto the advantage and lost 4-3 on aggregate.

The season wrapped up with a run in the Club World Cup, where we drew against PSG, and also tied with Saudi giants Al-Ittihad. A win over Atlético Tucumán helped us reach the knockouts, where we met FC Porto yet again. Like in the Champions League, we got the better of them, only to be narrowly beaten by Barcelona in the quarter-finals, 3-2.

Kostas Panos (58a) was our standout player this season. The 22-year-old striker scored 27 goals across all competitions and averaged a solid 7.10 rating per game. His performances earned him the Youth Player of the Year and Greek Player of the Year awards in the Super League. We also had three players named in the league’s Best XI.

Fanouris Pindonis (61a) continued to shine, being named the most promising young player in the world, according to the NXGN list.

This season, we said goodbye to some club legends, which marked the end of an era at Kavala. :applause:

First, there was center-back Giorgos Pallas (52c), who played over 250 games for the club. After losing his place in the starting lineup, he requested a transfer. It’s always tough to see a player like him leave, but he felt it was the right move at this stage of his career.

Then, Giorgos Lyberakis (46a), who had more than 400 matches and 100 goals for the club, also moved on. At 34 years old, he's still one of the greatest Greek players of all time. However, his physical decline meant he was no longer a regular starter, and as a result, he requested to leave. It’s sad to see such a legendary figure depart, but we respect his decision.

Finally, Olsi Istrefi (47a), our goalkeeper for more than 15 years, also moved on after his contract expired. Though he hadn’t been a first-choice in recent seasons, his contribution to the club over the years was immense.

It’s the end of an era for these players, and their impact on the club will never be forgotten.

Youth intake: it wasn’t anything special this year. The most promising players were Skender Jakupi (65a), Tasos Koupkiolis (65b), Giorgos Vichas (65c), and Panagiotis Drosos (65d), but realistically, it’s unlikely any of them will break into the first team in the near future.

Season 2074/75

Short one here, I am not able to play much. The Earl hit his best spot in Championship so far with the 7th place only dropping out of PL spots at last matchday. The suffering has ended. I believe the key was investing the time into a proper pre-season as this is the only difference to the years before. Media prediction put us last, xG table put us just on 6th. We can say that we outmatched the expectations.

A player to note is our shooting star Lex Surrey who delivered 12 goals and 11 assists as an IF(S) cutting in from the left. He is a fast player which we missed for so long. He has a strong personality but of course needs more time to develop. The Earl gave him 30 apps in his 2nd year with the first team.

What's new: We finally reached the ceiling in our facilities and accomplished state of the art training facilities. That's a big step! The Earl also did some changes in the Coaches section which gave him 4 1/2 coaches in almost every part of the area. The new HOYD is finally producing, there are some fine youngsters coming through.

If I had to outline one, I'd chose Francisco Heredia, a fine looking South American striker. He is from last years income but still 16 y/o and already had some 1st team football (3 apps). I'd like to develop him but it will be difficult as he only has 10 Determination which is not exactly what we're looking for. But the team is in dear need of a striker.

That is tragic, could have been club captain :(

Yeah, he was my vice-captain already and one I wanted to build the club around. Still, we are coping well after he left and we are in the fight for promotion, so I'm trying to convince myself it's his loss! :D

Time to schedule a friendly, play all of your most aggressive players with get stuck in and mark him tightly, just to rough him up a bit ... not that we hold grudges or are spiteful or anything

Sociedad Deportivo Quito - Youth Intake Season 5

Never feels less weird to finish a season and immediately get the next year's intake within a month. Our squad is improving at the top (our 2 best players are top 5 players in the league now) so the 5* potential means more now than it used to. Unfortunately the players at the top have horrible personalities. Low determination and umambitious, can't get much worse than that. Naula 05a looks promising, but can't envision him ever improving. Castillo 05c has unflappable media handling, so could have some professionalism and ambition. Our HOYD has been here for 4 intakes now, but has not produced. I've struggled to find a clear upgrade on him, but hopefully we can get a better personality (and a wingback-producing preferred formation).

Brora Rangers - Season 2 and 3 - Cinch League 2 (Scotland)

Brora_Rangers_Logo.png.c6bb6cedd48baa4b8bd9a60f8991ed0c.png

This is the third season of my Brora save, a team in the Scottish Highlands. Trying to turn them into "Brora-lona" with a high possession tactic. I finished 9th (one spot from the relegation playoff) and this season I finished 5, one spot of the the promotion playoff. My youth intake has been middling. I have made multiple upgrades, but it has just brought most of the facilities to average. I was able to expand the coaching staff to 6 coaches, which is good.

Has anyone else seen it where you stop getting the trophy presented when you win the title?

Not sure if I get what you mean here? That you don't get the trophy presentation? Or that is crashes or stops?

XaW - Praiense - Season 2027/28 (Season 4) - Liga 3

Squad | Transfers | Finances

After the good outing last season, we took it to new heights this season. Key to it was that we sorted out the defending and teams really struggled to score against us this season. Completing the season with less than a goal a game conceded, it was key to us picking up points in close matches, because this was not an easy season. Most matches were rather close, and we rarely blew out other teams. So in the First Stage we were in a close fight for the top against União de Leiria and Alverca (managed by Diego Forlan, interestingly), but in the end we edged the top spot. That put us into the Championship Group against the other top 4 teams from my group as well as the 4 best ones from the north. This was a much more competitive group, but we held our own, even with an early home loss to União de Leiria. We slowly turned into a 3 horse race aginst União de Leiria and Anadia where we got the promotion with a few games left. Going into the final match we almost had the title in the bag. We were 3 points ahead of Anadia, and with a better goal difference, but if we were to lose at home to Vitória de Setúbal and Anadia would win big over Sanjoanense, then we could lose the title. We held our own though, and beat Vitória de Setúbal 2-0 in a game we controlled, but struggled to score and it took two late goals to clinch it. But the trophy was ours in the end, as well as going up into the 2nd tier for the first time in the clubs history!

Taça de Portugal: We lost to Marítimo in the 2nd round.

Best players from the academy:

Diogo Lamas 25c - Even though he left us in the January window, he was still amazing for us this season. He hasn't played since he left, and I'm afraid they will waste his talent, but it was out of my hands. Good bye sweet prince!
Jorge Aveiro 26c - Our big meaty guy up top finally did well this season! Our top scorer and focal point of our attacks.
Manuel Silva 25d - Is slowly becoming the rock of our defence and also got capped for Cape Verde u20 this season.

New club records:

Most goals in a season - Jorge Aveiro 26c - 21 goals
Most league goals in a season - Jorge Aveiro 26c - 21 goals
Most goals in a match - Jorge Aveiro 26c - 3 goals
Most goals in a league match - Jorge Aveiro 26c - 3 goals
Most clean sheets in a season - Pedro Fortes - 10 clean sheets
Most league apps for the club - Nelson Henrique - 181 apps
Most league goals for the club - Kinglord Safo - 35 goals
Highest transfer fee received - Diogo Lamas 25c - £238k to Estrela da Amadora

Due to lack of finances, there were no improvements accepted this season either. The stadium plans are afoot though, and the President has convinced the local council to pay for it and just rent it back to us. We will only move in here in two years though.

Praiense B

The board formed a B-team before the season, but they only play friendlies, as far as I can see, but the few players I've put there gets games, so I assume they are way down the league system. Let's hope they can get into the playable tiers some day!

U19s

yuH0Vbv.png

T4uDl5z.png

They retained the Portuguese U19 Azores Division this season doing a perfect season! I need to know what tactic my U19 manager is using... They then went into the Championship group where they finished 3rd and finally got promoted into the top tier of the youth leagues!

No crash takes place and nothing suggests it’s any different from previous times where I did see the presentation. The text commentary at full time says we won the title, then it just doesn’t load the presentation. The team talk then has the congratulatory options and when I exit the match the news is full of stories on it.

I get the cup wins showing (super cup and national cup) but the league just seems to have stopped. I understand the year where I won it when I wasn’t playing but if my result leads to me winning the title at full time I would have expected it at that point.

Its no big issue just wondering if anyone else had seen that happen (just worried it might be the custom DB by Timo for Malta causing issues and could be a sign of worse to come)

Perhaps not all leagues have that activated? I don't know, just speculating.

It was working fine, then I won the title when Hamrun drew their game in hand (last game of the season) and I won it, since then I’ve had no trophy presentation.

Like I say it’s not a big deal unless it’s part of a bigger issue.

Thanks anyway, looks like it’s just me

Had a look in the editor, and I have a suspicion it won't happen if the "Trophy type" is not set:

If you can point to the file (url or upload) I can have a look for you?
