Popular Post mschafer13 Posted Tuesday at 16:30 Popular Post Share Posted Tuesday at 16:30 Cipolletti 2027/28 After 4 years of middle ground, we're finally going up! It was a hard fought season, we were predicted to finish 32nd out of 37 teams s Had a great run in the fall and another in the spring (after a bad winter) and made the playoffs as the 7th team (top 8 make the playoffs). Our defense finally stepped up and we didn't let in more than 1 goal every playoff match and won easily enough. Youth intake wasn't very good, so we're definitely going to struggle in the top league next season, but we'll see what happens!
Ron_Swanson Posted Tuesday at 16:31 Share Posted Tuesday at 16:31 I'm really tempted by England slog as a side quest, but I'm undecided between standard vanilla way of VNN/VNS or using a tier 10 database from another challenges topic (as I did in FM22) and pick last team from one of divisions. What do you think? Will the second option count for the YAC?
Skora11 Posted Tuesday at 16:54 Share Posted Tuesday at 16:54 RC Jaen Season 32/33 I was right about things starting to look up, as we continued the great run of form we ad in the previous two seasons into our first season of the Spanish Second Division. I would have been glad just to avoid relegation but we went well beyond what was expected. We had an absolutely unbelievable season and manged to get in to the play-off positions and we were only 4 games away from the big time. Unfortunately the boys fell short, but they have proven themselves to be more than ready for the challenge ahead. The intake for the year looks reasonable, with Martin looking to have the potential to break through in a few seasons, unfortunately Budzynski's determination and personality will probably prevent him from ever fulfilling his potential. Hopefully we have a few seasons consolidating in the Second division before making a push for La Liga. The challenge now looks like there is real potential it can be completed some day. We really could be doing with getting a 'superstar' through the academy though, as while there have been plenty solid intakes, no absolute standout as of yet.
Popular Post mpm2342 Posted Tuesday at 17:05 Popular Post Share Posted Tuesday at 17:05 Crewe United 2041 Season Update Season 17 Update: Another successful season where we finished 3rd. Getting closer to Glentoran, but a ways to go to catch Linfield who dominate the league. Got enough money in Europe to basically break even for the season. Now it's just patience and luck to wait for the squad to improve/results to go our way and make it to the league phase of Europa to get money to spend on the facilities, Transfers: Spoiler Youth Candidates: The streak is alive and well with another "golden generation" that is 17 in a row, every season so far. Some good potentials, but nobody to slot into the senior squad, so I am going to try putting them all in the u18 squad and see how they develop. Fair lack of ambition in this intake, with some work to do on the better players. Squad Update: Here is how the squad is rated heading into next season. This was the season for a nice improvement from Graham who was out on loan and developed enough to step into the lineup. Still managing to hold onto most of the good players, likely because they are still National league level and not on the radar of the bigger English teams, yet... The squad rating improve 0.6 rating points again this past season. Our second 11 is almost the same rating as the first 11 which will help a lot with all the matches we have to deal with. Would still have an asterisk next to the HoF entry if completed though as it’s not vanilla, which is where I’d be with my attempt in Scotland playing 1 level down from vanilla.

RCola1 Posted Tuesday at 22:35 Share Posted Tuesday at 22:35 Brora Rangers - Season 4 - Cinch League 2 (Scotland) Update: In the last season I finished one place out of the promotion playoff. This season I barely escaped the relegation playoff. I took it to the last game of the season, and was down 0-2 during halftime, but a goal in the 84th minute by a newly signed youth candidate put me in 8th (out of 10). For the upcoming season I decided to go for a high-line, possession tactic. My old center back just retired, and now I replace him with a repurposed full back with great speed. I had a good crop in youth intake, so hopefully I can turn it around.
The_Gato_In_Goal Posted Wednesday at 00:07 Share Posted Wednesday at 00:07 Sociedad Deportivo Quito - Youth Intake and Youth Review Season 6 Frustrating poor intake given the investment we've put into facilities and the last straw for our HOYD with more less than stellar personalities at the top. Will look to find a HOYD with maybe worse stats, but a Perfectionist or Model Citizen personality. Class of 2024 Alvarez 01a seems to have hit his PA and is a Good LigaPro Serie A player. Castillo 01b didn't develop on loan for 2 seasons, will try to loan again and likely release him at the end of the season. Batioja 01c - Released Briones 01d seems to have hit his PA and is a Good LigaPro Serie A player. Ayovi 01e kicked up a fuss about leaving early in the season, but got over himself and we locked him down to a long-term deal. Started to get bids from Spanish/Portuguese clubs, but we turned them down and convinced him that he's a leader in the locker room. He is a Star LigaPro Serie A player that may have some PA left, but probably is at his cap. Mantilla 01f also kicked up a fuss, also got over it and I will offer him a new deal once the agent allows me to take the release clause out (he still has 3 years on the current one). He was convinced to spurn Porto after we told his he was a key locker room leader. He is also a Star LigaPro Serie A player who might have some more PA to develop into. Has made 2 caps for Ecuador now and scored 2 goals. Class of 2025 Jimenez 02a is the backup keeper. I tend to ruin backup keeper careers and his is no different. He is a Leading Ascenso Nacional player with LigaPro Serie A potential he likely won't reach. Garcia 02b developed well as a rotation option this season. He is now a Decent LigaPro Serie A player with room to grow. Garcia 02c played so poorly in the first team that we had to loan him out to try to salvage his career. Hopefully he will develop from being a Leading Ascenso Nacional player to his LigaPro Serie A potential. Macias 02d lost his starting role midway through the season (and his Professional personality), but continued to develop. Worried that he's stagnated at his PA cap, but no complaints if he's only a Good LigaPro Serie A player. Class of 2026 Arce 03a developed a bit, but we are very deep at RWB so loaned him out for the coming season as he's turned 18. Is a Leading Ascenso Nacional player with LigaPro Serie A potential. Loor 03b performed decent last season and developed a little so he will continue to be a rotation option as a Decent Liga Pro Serie A player. Estupinan 03c didn't develop much, but performed well in his minutes so will continue to be our backup RWB despite being a Leading Ascenso Nacional player. Valencia 03d has fallen behind and we are looking to give him a loan as he's 18 now. Is a Leading Ascenso Nacional player. Carabali 03e started to develop last season, but didn't play well in his minutes. We loaned him out this season to the second tier (like most of the others). He is a Leading Ascenso Nacional player. Mendez 03f deputized well for Ayovi 01e when he got hurt at the start of the season. Earned his backup spot and is a Decent LigaPro Serie B player. Valarezo 03g came on strong in the second half and took a starting spot in the first team. Is up to a Decent LigaPro Serie A player and has a good personality and PA to fill. Pineda 03h improved from 3* potential to 5* accoridng to my staff and has made the most of regular first team minutes. Nearly set the league record for shutouts this season and is now a Good LigaPro Serie A player Class of 2027 (These guys hang out in the youth team and don't develop unless otherwise stated) Russell 04a Zambrano 04b earned a first team call up when Garcia 02c disappointed, but didn't get much playing time. Has a great personality and solid attributes, so once he begins to develop we could be forced to switch to a 2 man system up top. Orellana 04c Valencia 04d Mina 04e Mero 04f looks like he could be one to watch with his physical attributes. Bolanos 04g Zambrano 04h Class of 2028 (These guys hang out in the youth team and don't develop unless otherwise stated) Naula 05a Valencia 05b Castillo 05c Vaca 05d Mina 05e is developing well and may earn a call up this season Saavedra 05f looks like he could be one to watch with his physical attributes.
Popular Post Koetzer Posted Wednesday at 14:59 Popular Post Share Posted Wednesday at 14:59 NK Kustošija Zagreb | Season 2024/25 Not bad for the debut season, could do better in the first half but anyway that wouldn’t be enough for a promotion battle. And for some reason we didn’t enter the cup (while there were a lot of non-league teams). Squad stats Martin Šroler – we didn’t have a good striker, so had to use our best player as false nine (probably losing some quality on wings or midfield, but at least we had better backups there). Ivan Mihaljević – became our best rated player as a box to box midfielder. Jozo Vukman – we needed to start three U21 players, so this goalkeeper got the chance and actually did well. However he won’t have this privilege next season. Lovro Chelfi – our biggest talent who could get a chance even without this U21 rule, but became an undoubted starter with it. Transfers – the board sold our starting center-back during winter break. Youth intake (preview) Hughes *25a | Matić *25b | Hosman *25c | Pasariček *25d | Brtan *25e These players won’t be available next season due to age restrictions, anyway they aren’t ready for the first team. Finances are very concerning, we are losing around 100k per month and I don't see a way to improve it in this division.
JD78 Posted Wednesday at 15:11 Share Posted Wednesday at 15:11 (edited) Hungary - Season 2027/28 Second season in the top division and we finished 7th, 1 place above last season. This was a season of transition when lots of young players replaced some originals and developed over the season. I had a young GK that was showing as 2 star CA and I kept getting messages saying he was training very well so I threw him in the team along with the others. We weren't consistent but it did the young players the world of good. Unfortunately exited the Cup at the first hurdle. Barna27A fired in 20 goals in 31 games (spoiler if you click the link!). Not much more to say about this season. Good looking winger, CB and WB in the youth intake that I'm pleased about. Facilities stalling on upgrades however, they keep giving me coaching badges, Season 2028/29 A very similar tale in the league, 7th place again. Made it to the 5th round of the cup and was dumped out by a team in the unplayable league. I was gutted! More youngsters in to the first team, progressing well. I really am enjoying watching players improve at a fairly decent rate after playing with a semi pro team for so long! Apologies that I don't have screenshots of intakes, previews etc. I will make sure I grab them from the 32/33 season. The screenshots of players you see now are their current levels, I'm a bit behind updating the thread hence the quickfire nature. Disaster in January as Barna27A decided he wanted to move to a bigger club. Despite us having some very good young players we weren't getting many strikers through at this point so it was a real shame. The other shame was that the board bent over and accepted PSG's pitiful £2.3m bid so I couldn't even sneak in any clauses. This will be a recurring theme in this save as you'll see over the next few posts I make. I'm keeping an eye on the 'stars' that have left us behind and since he left us Barna has scored lots of goals for PSG II but hasn't played for the first team yet. His value has dropped quite a bit. I wonder if he'll make the step up. He'd have scored a hundred goals for us by now. Used the cash to upgrade training ground and junior set up. More coaching badges for me too. Useful looking WB and AMC in the youth intake. Edited Wednesday at 15:21 by JD78

Popular Post XaW Posted Wednesday at 20:05 Popular Post Share Posted Wednesday at 20:05 XaW - Praiense - Season 2029/30 (Season 5) - Liga Portugal Betclic Squad | Transfers | Finances We survived! But only barely, and only on the final day. A somewhat lucky away win over Famalicão was enough to keep us ahead of Estoril Praia and Boavista. Arouca was already relegated at that point. So it's clear we are in for some tough years now, because the top teams here in Portugal are really, really good. Even though we managed to stay up, we still got thumped a few times against the best teams. The good thing is that we only lost 14 matches this season, so we are a hard nut to crack, but we also only won 7. So we have a way to go still. I'm expecting a few years of just getting accustomed to this level of opposition, as well as getting in some better players through the intakes. We have finally started to actually make money now, as opposed to losing, so just staying here will help the club as we can finally start improving the youth setup! Allianz Cup: We beat Torreense and Estoril Praia to go into the 3rd round group. There we faced Estrela da Amadora and Sporting CP. We lost both games and finished last and got knocked out. Taça de Portugal: We beat Fafe and Tourizense before we lost to Rio Ave in the 5th round. Best players from the academy: João Nobre 26h - Very versatile, but is mostly used as the attacking of the two central midfielders. Works well and does good. Jorge Luís 29a - Finally we have a great goalkeeper, and he even scored 5 goals for us, as I'm doing this again! Jorge Aveiro 26c - Our topscorer had another solid season, and showed he can even score at this level. New club records: Worst discipline - Grégory Dedieu 26i - 12 yellow cards, 0 red cards Most league apps for the club - Kinglord Safo - 208 apps Most league goals for the club - Jorge Aveiro 26c - 64 goals Youngest goalscorer - Jorge Luís 29a - 15 years, 270 days Finally I got some impovements accepted. We were also supposed to move into the new council built stadium this summer, but that is nowhere to be found anymore and I just got this info so who knows now... I tend to try to initially trust my assistant on their potential, but I also have a spreadsheet to look at their attributes and see how well they fit any role I might want them in. So based on those things, I try to use the most talented one, as well as retrain those who are better fitted to other positions. Some people are very flexible with tactics, and chance based on the players they get through intakes, I'm personally more of a retrainer to fit my tactic of choice. If you have gotten promoted from the Vanarama South you are doing something right, so just do the same you are and hope for good intakes, and try to improve the youth coaching and youth recruitment whenever you can to get better intakes. Facilities can come later. Also, your English is easily readable, so don't worry about it. English isn't my native language either, just keep using it and it will flow more natural as you do. Popular Post Neo_Geo Posted Thursday at 11:04 Popular Post Share Posted Thursday at 11:04 (edited) SEASON 1 SURVIVAL FOR THE THEESEL With only 10 players this season was always going to be quite difficult and don't let the league table fool you into thinking otherwise. 56 goals conceded was the main issue as having a half star left back and 2 grey central defenders meant I was always going to concede a lot, so I knew that to survive I had to attack as my midfield and 1 striker are actually pretty good. This showed in having the second highest goals scored in the league. We started very brightly with 5 wins, 1 draw and 1 loss but then the cup games came in and the fatigue factor crept in with me yoyoing between a win and a loss. Our end of season form was pretty suspect and I'm glad the season ended when it did as there was a slump coming that despite being safe by that point had all the hallmarks of the season wrecking form. In terms of the cup we did really, really well and reached the 4th round thanks to some favourable draws against teams at the same level as ourselves until the home match against League 2 outfit Elgin City. The game ended 2-4 and whilst I accepted that at first I was really annoyed when the draw for the next round gave Elgin a trip to Ibrox which would have been an incredible payday in season 1. Youth Intake I was really just happy to have some numbers and squad depth and I can at least play 2 central defenders that aren't grey players now! As far as the spreadsheet is concerned I am using it but there is nothing really to share at this moment as the quality of player is that low its really not giving me much to work with as just now the attributes are so low and I have so few players its a case of doing what I have to rather than what I want to. Best of Intake Spoiler Devine was clearly the standout however I do have 2 other players that can play in that position so he's not a cert to start. McJannet could become a decent MC DLP for me but he is some way off Kurtis Mayo at this point. Club News It's like being back at Macclesfield again with the board refusing to sanction my coaching course with the reason given being different from the one when you try to persuade them and they say no again. Just have to keep plugging away at this until they buckle. I had more success with the Junior Coaching and Youth Recruitment which at first they said no, then the second time I asked I choose the other option about being left behind our rivals. This seemed to strike a chord with the board and after I was successful in the Junior Coaching request I tried the same with Youth Recruitment and it worked as well. Finances were at £140k at the start and they remained about the same thanks to the cup run and then season end hit and it leapt up to £232k so at the moment money seems to be ok. Squad News The main concern I have right now is that I don't think I will be able to keep a hold of my best players beyond this season. A few bids have come in already which will turn heads and then I won't be able to negotiate any extension. The worry is that the standard of replacement is so low at the moment that I would genuinely fear for survival if these players do in fact all leave. Here are the 4 best players at the club (3 of which have had offers): Bingo Card I always seem to forget setting these up until the first season is over and I write the update! 1 out of 100 complete, loooooong way to go: Neo_Geo's Final Thoughts Happy with the first season and hopeful I will survive the second but I really need the next intake to actually have a bit of quality about it as I can't see my best players sticking around another year. I'm having fun though and I do want to try to keep the updates brief as the seasons are a little longer than I had in my Malta save but with F25 really having me worried I think I may well be sticking with FM24 a bit longer anyway. Neo_Geo Posted Thursday at 11:07 Share Posted Thursday at 11:07 @Padders totally understand about the write up, you've done so many seasons and this endless yoyoing between Championship and Premier League with the intakes not really giving you much to work with must be so frustrating. Again I salute your perseverance with this challenge. Popular Post dkouv Posted Thursday at 19:29 Popular Post Share Posted Thursday at 19:29 Poole Town – Season 21 (2044/45) Champions League I thought this was going to be the year, honestly. A great CL run took us to the semis, where we were totally dominating Juventus, but somehow we only drew away and they scored 2 sneaky goals in the last 30 minutes of the return leg to win the tie 4-3 on aggregate. We'll have to try again next season. Premiership. An inconsistent season domestically as I prioritised european comps, and we almost didn't qualify for the CL - but thanks to a late-season surge we managed to finish 5th, which was enough. Cups We won the league cup thanks to some great performances against tough opposition Players Our 17th intake seems to have been especially fruitful, giving us two world class players in Isaac Diallo 17a (DL) (who won the NxGn this year) and Sammy Myles 17b (DMC). Two youngsters came back from loan into the first team, with Jacob Bibby 12a (ST/AMRL) finishing top scorer in the CL with 12 goals, and Herbie Collum 16d (DC) steadying the defense. Youth intake (preview): Looked like an absolutely fantastic intake with great prospects in the positions we need (goalie and fullbacks), but some of the star ratings got downgraded a couple of months later, so now I'm not as confident. Facilities The board are refusing to upgrade youth facilities, but agreed to splash out on a new stadium aptly named after our legendary attacking midfielder Scott Young. Transfers: nothing of note. Winski Posted yesterday at 08:57 Share Posted yesterday at 08:57 FK Rača Bratislava Season review Season 14 | 2037-2038 Niké liga Transfers | Affiliates | Facilities | Finances | Manager Profile | Club overview Another year, another league win! For the 5th consecutive time we won the Slovakian league. Unfortunately we were not able to win the Cup again; for the first time in 5 years time we didn't win the Cup. We lost in the Third Round against MSK Zilina. In the first couple of rounds I play with a lot of youth/back-up players. And normally they are good enough to deliver, but this time not. In the Champions League Playoffs we met FC Sion again, the same team as last season. And this time we won both matches against them: 4-1 and 3-1. So we qualified for the CL League Phase! We gained 7 points, which was just not enough to qualify for the next round. We only won 1 game, and drew 4 times. The best result was 0-0 against Man City. Overall I'm quite happy with how we played, and with a bit more luck we could have qualified for the next round. Let's hope we can do that next season. In the NXGN 2038 Wonderkids list we had 2 players: Richard Nagy 35b and Igor Augustini 36c. Youth intake The preview was mwah, although it was labelled as 'excellent'. But the actual intake gave us 3 Elite Talents. Tomislav Čabraja 38b already played 5 matches and scored 2 goals, so that's really promising. JD78 Posted yesterday at 09:33 Share Posted yesterday at 09:33 The Hungary adventure continues. I'm going to use this post to do a quick review of the seasons that I just played through and I'll do a more comprehensive season by season update from here on in. 2029/30 We finished 8th in the league which was a place lower than the last 2 seasons but I never felt we were in trouble. We got to the final of the cup but sadly lost out 3-1 aet to the Hungarian giants Ferencvaros. Another season of growth for the young players. The GK that I put in the team is getting better but is raw. We have a young defence and we ship quite a few goals. At the start of the season we lost our best defender and player Laszlo 26A to AC Milan. for just £1.1M and a sell on clause. Used the cash to improve facilities. We got our best youth intake yet with 8 players who I felt had real potential. 2030/31 A very good second half of the season in the league saw us finish 4th which is the final European place to qualify for the Conference League although I was sweating on that a bit. That European place goes to the Cup winner so I was praying that Champions Ferencvaros would do me a favour and win the Cup which they did comfortably. Phew. Europe next season! We got knocked out of the Cup at the first hurdle which was disappointing after last year's run to the final. I wasn't even using a rotated squad, just a crap performance against a team from the league below. Yet again, AC Milan swooped in and took our best player Valkovszki 27B for £3.1m plus 35% sell on clause. We also got money for appearances and first international cap. Used the cash to upgrade facilities however I had to 'leak to press' to get that to sanction the training facilities upgrade even though we had plenty of money. Youth intake wasn't as good as last year. An AMC and a STR book look good though. 2031/32 European football! Our first foray into Europe saw us draw Dundee which I thought was tricky but winnable, The first leg was at home and we were 2 nil down before the Conference League music had stopped playing! Great! We did rally to 2-2 but then they scored a late winner. All to do in the second leg and we were doing it too. We went 1 down then euqlised on the night right on 45 mins. Then took the lead on 45+1 and extended it at 45+3 minutes. Crazy end to the first half. We scored again on 61 minutes to make it 6-4 to us on aggregate. 2 minutes later we had a player sent off and that was that. they scored 3 goals to win 7-6 over the 2 legs. I don't know about anyone else but I find it really tough to not concede when down to 10 men on this version of FM. It seems almost inevitable. Any tips welcome. Another good season in the league saw us finish 3rd but nowhere near challenging for the top. We got to the final of the Cup but were comfortably beaten 3-1 by Ferencvaros again. AC Milan AGAIN came in for my best player at the start of the season. This is becoming a dreadful habit. We got £5m plus 35% sell on for Kis 28A. Youth Intake was pretty good with a RB and a STR looking like the best prospects.

Would still have an asterisk next to the HoF entry if completed though as it’s not vanilla, which is where I’d be with my attempt in Scotland playing 1 level down from vanilla. I thought about it but would be more fun to get some of the worst possible teams. Maybe I'll do it off the forum to see if it's worth the effort

mpm2342
Crewe United 2042 Season Update Season 18 Update: A great season that was fun as it was long. The squad had 64 matches with 38 league matches and then Europa Conference and cups. I rotated 2 squads with the first squad getting about 40 games and the second the rest. I might include a 3rd squad for the easier cup matches to take a few games off the schedule for the top squad. That makes a lot of Wed / Sat match weeks where the squads just alternate. We did amazing in the league coming in 2nd and qualifying for the Europa League. We also made it to the Europa Conference League league phase in spectacular fashion with a shocking 5-0 away win over Shakhtar in a matchup I fully expected to lose. We then managed to do great in the league phase and moved on to a favourable knock out phase draw. The run ended against Fenerbahce who are way too strong for us. Made some good £ on that run and got some facilities upgrades from it. Transfers: Spoiler Youth Candidates: The streak is still alive, though the relative talent level is decreasing as our squad gets better. Beckett will get some rotation time on the senior squad as he is a very good. fast winger with 15 pace and 16 acceleration. Personalities could be better for sure. Squad Update: Here is how the squad is rated heading into next season. Overall some fantastic improvement at ST, RW and CD. Though we have a looming issue with Graham and McKinney as they were not happy at all when I exercised their contract extensions ... hopefully they can cry in the corner for a while and get over it. It would hurt to lose them as there is a fair drop off to the next man up. The squad rating jumper 2 points over the season, putting us almost at the Premiership target. As long as I can hold the team together, we should be getting very close to challenging Linfield for 1st place. Bingo Got a few more squares ... a quarter of the way there.

Koetzer
NK Kustošija Zagreb | Season 2025/26 xG table says it all – we lost too many points in the games we should have won, actually lack of a good finisher left us without promotion chances Cup We had very good draws in our cup debut, two lower league teams and a home game against Lokomotiva (eventually relegated from the top league). Hajduk predictably defeated us, but the game itself wasn’t as one-sided as the score. Sadly, it seems to be no prize money at all here (even in Suriname it was possible to earn in the cup!) Squad stats Lovro Chelfi – became a real leader, won the best young player award and played at the U19 Euro in summer (scored twice in the 5th place playoffs, so Croatia qualified for the U20 World Cup) Davor Lovren – from best assistant to best goalscorer. Filip Šušković-Jakopac – best center-back and a big threat on set pieces. Boris Karamatić – new name in the first team, we needed him to fill the U21 position but anyway he’s the best left-back now. Transfers – no important departures. Youth intake (preview) Rešetar *26a | Šupe *26b | Krnjić *26c | Jurčec *26d | Skender *26e Spoiler , Maybe we’ll finally get a real striker for the first team from this intake. The board decided to turn us back to semi-pro, maybe it saves some money but none of our players (who are on full-time contracts) want to extend now, so next season may become the last one
djsterry
Villa Dalmine 18th season update Getting closer in the league a couple of surprise defeats to teams near the bottom of the league cost me Copa Lib Quarter final exit, won the first leg got absolutely destroyed in the 2nd leg League cup out in the semi Best player from this years intake Looks very good to me, another wonderkid on my hands I reckon also got a model citizen come through, I cant actually remember getting one before Pretty settled team now, I have shipped a couple of players out that I felt weren't quite good enough for me now. Just need a bit more consistency to win the league
