  1. I'd have liked Wharton to have started tonight for sure. Gordon call I kinda get coz he does offer width and running in behind but my hatred for him means I'd never call for him to be in the side Palmer could only really come in for Saka or Jude and I don't think he offers more than either of them, I'd have him used by now as a sib for sure though.
  2. I mean he's used 16 players in 2 games and of the 10 that haven't seen a minute 2 are keepers and 1 isn't fit (shaw) so there's only 7 players not got any time yet.
  3. 6 months later he's looking to step aside. What's the point mate?
  4. Sadly was not a tycoon In real life he's the guy bank rolling South Shields (which feels fitting considering my history with them) and while he didn't clear our debt (like he promised) he did inject over 1m which should mean we stay in profit all season and even gave me an upgrade for youth recruitment so he's started OK in my book.
  5. We also had this news come through Would be just my luck that my first ever tycoon is during a youth only save Honestly just want someone to clear our debts. We'll see of this even happens
  6. Dulwich Hamlet League Two 2028/29 Season Review League - A lot tougher season than it looks on paper. We really struggled in the first half of the season, mainly drawing games rather than losing, but we just couldn't hold on to leads and it cost us. 2nd half of the season was much better as we had several little 5/6 match unbeaten runs and we ended around where we were last season. A few points less but safe midtable is what I'll take for a few seasons I think. FA Cup - A nice run to the 3rd round where I was dreaming of a money spinner. We got Sheffield Wednesday though, they were easily too good for us. They then got Chelsea away League Cup - Boro smashed us FA Trophy - Like last season, used it to give game time to my fringe players Transfers - Just some loans out Squad - Biggest thing was that I've gone back to my usual 433. It just feels right. Aside from that we had our first U21 cap for a academy player when Gentrit Lekaj 27A played for Kosovo U21s Youth Intake - Preview looked a little frustrating but turned out to be a decent intake I think Nicky Lynch 29A - a good technical wide player Luke Giddings 29B - we like a striker here Jeremey Hargreaves 29C - Not sure what I saw in him to tag him now Yusef Goldring 29D - a better version of Hargreaves I think Ben Watts 29E - could be a decent box to box option for us Career Overview Season League Position Junior Coaching Youth Recruitment Notes 2024/25 VNLS 1st Good Average Promotion, Manager of the year 2025/26 VNL 10th Good Above Average First coaching badge 2026/27 VNL 2nd Good Above Average Promotion via playoffs, Manager of the season, second coaching badge 2027/28 L2 10th Adequate Above Average 3rd coaching badge 2028/29 L2 12th Good Above Average Continental C Licence obtained Managed to get our Junior Coaching back up to good but finances are still tough so any more upgrades might be a while away
  7. Yes but scoring a goal is still doing more than running behind a defender
  8. For my own enjoyment I'd always prefer Toney on ahead of Watkins but Watkins hard running and energy is the right move here. Get Palmer on for Jude as well
  9. Probably, their fans say a lot of the same things about their manager that England fans say about Southgate
  10. I feel bad about how awful we managed Hickey's hamstring injury this year
  11. 2027/28 Sky Bet League Two Season Review League - After promotion the target was 50 point and survival. We did that and a little bit more. The plan over the summer was to try and transition from my usual 433 to a 4231 and it took me a while, like 10 or so games, to fine tune it into something that worked and that I liked. Once we did we moved up the table but, as happens with players not ready or good enough for this league, we suffered some hammerings along the way and never really knew what you'd get from us but we were also 2nd or 3rd top scorers in the league but 5th worst defence. A 10th place finish was more than I hoped but maybe not as well as we should have as we dropped from 5th with only 1 win in our final 5 games. FA Cup - League One Milwall knocked us out 4-1 with goals on the 80th, 92nd and 98th minute which felt harsh League Cup - lost on pens in first round here EFL Trophy - I rotated as much as I could in these games and lost them all Transfers - None in, some loans out and a record sale. 150k for Tom green who I never saw as more than a backup at RB or RW so I took the money and ran. Have 10% on next transfer too which I may sell as it'll get us another 174K right now and that money would cover our stadium loan for nearly 3 months Squad - way more home grown players now. That change in formation was for Aaron Green 26A and he scored 20 goals this year and now wants to leave to play with better players but with a year left and a 3 year extension he's going nowhere yet. However the change in formation also gave a chance to Luis Muscatt 25C as a 10 as he's too small to play as an 8 and 12 goals from him made him our 2nd top scorer Youth Intake - The preview wasn't great and the intake matched it despite the "golden generation" tag Adam Lloyd 28A - he's more a winger than a ST I feel but his pace is the worry Dean Kane 28B - we need depth at DM/CM so hoping he can be our Superman there Thomas Otto 28C - rated highest by my coaches but his height and physical makeup make concern me Career Overview Season League Position Junior Coaching Youth Recruitment Notes 2024/25 VNLS 1st Good Average Promotion, Manager of the year 2025/26 VNL 10th Good Above Average First coaching badge 2026/27 VNL 2nd Good Above Average Promotion via playoffs, Manager of the season, second coaching badge 2027/28 L2 10th Adequate Above Average 3rd coaching badge Find it weird my coaching has gone down but am assuming it's a financial thing as we 're struggling there.
  12. I get people wanted changes but no side is taking off their biggest goal threat, and captain, while only leading 1-0. Not subbing Kane wasn't an issue. Would he have stayed on if it was 2-0? Probably as he probably needed another 90 mins under his belt. Watkins/Toney will get a chance at some stage but last night wasn't the time for it.
  13. I dunno, maybe it's just parts online I see but feels like he gets down played a lot by some fans is all.
  14. Feel like Saka is really underrated or maybe underappreciated by England fans. He's so good and England look and play much better when he's starting.
