I've been doing what I think of as "realistic" in that it's away games (usually midweek) against local small sides and then bigger sides at home at weekend for the money. However I've gone full on moral and fitness this upcoming pre season so hopefully see an impact.

League Two 2029/30 Season Review League - A very strange season really. We once again started slowly, I'm starting to think that I might need to rethink how I do pre season as we always seem to start slow, but found form in the middle of the season before a hellish run where had only 1 free midweek between the start of December and the middle of March. We really struggle with 3 games a week as we don't have the depth really to rotate without really weakening the team, then throw in injuries and suspensions and this run killed us. We ended a decent 15th but we really need to try and stop letting in so many. We had a top 5 attack and a bottom 5 defence. FA Cup - Our best ever run in this, getting to the 4th round. Still not got that big away day yet though League Cup - probably our best time in this too but we're yet to make it to round 2 EFL Trophy - this I just don't care about. I use it to try different tactical ideas I'm having and playing fringe players to rest my better ones wherever I can Transfers - Lots of loans out with a couple returning ready for first team football Squad - Like I say the attack is very good, lead by Aaron Greene who keeps getting better and has nearly 1 in 2 over his career so far but I need to sort the defence out. I'd have liked Wharton to have started tonight for sure. Gordon call I kinda get coz he does offer width and running in behind but my hatred for him means I'd never call for him to be in the side Palmer could only really come in for Saka or Jude and I don't think he offers more than either of them, I'd have him used by now as a sib for sure though.

I mean he's used 16 players in 2 games and of the 10 that haven't seen a minute 2 are keepers and 1 isn't fit (shaw) so there's only 7 players not got any time yet.
