2025 Table | Squad | Transfers Started the season really poorly with just a couple of draws in the first 9 games, an 8 match unbeaten run took the team out of the relegation spots. Lost 6 straight to end the season firmly in the bottom 3. Tweaked the tactics slightly to go unbeaten in the relegation group and escape relegation. Got to the semi-final of the 1st div cup. In the Finnish cup the team faced a lower league team in the 3rd rd before then losing to 2nd div VIFK 0-1 away in the 4th rd with several players cup tied after playing for the b team in the 1st rd. 2 transfers were arranged before i arrived, 1 player was immediately let go, the other did not play but earns twice as much as the next highest player at the club. Finances look a bit dicey with not much real income, turned away a few £250 bids for Kurki from prem teams. The defense is really poor at CB along with the GK, the 1st choice being the shortest GK at 5'8 i have seen. The attack under performed in the league as well according to xg. Fazli was my top scorer and best player, Paski was also in good form all season. The youth preview promised much and the intake did not disappoint with several squad players through. No real improvements to CB, GK or ST from this batch. Lempinen was the pick along with Pllana.

@Daddy i have played a lot of fm and i have never seen 'other talent' before, how bad was he? I would have signed him just to see if he was that poor

I was annoyed with the lack of progress in my sweden save, mostly as my u19s did not play in a league after 10 years even though nearly every club 2 or divs lower did. Could not get a b team or indeed any other improvement from the board, not one request granted in 13 seasons. It was hindering the progress of the players as they just did not improve over time. I have restarted in Finland with TiPS who have reasonable facilities apart from youth recruitment. Profile

@Padders even with the span of time i'm surprised that the league features 3 teams that IRL have never played higher than non league.

2039 Table | Squad | Transfers Started the season in poor form but managed through the season to just pick up enough points to keep the team out of the relegation spots, mostly helped by the other teams being really poor. The team could not score at all and survived a last day 1-5 loss to stay up with Jonsered unable to take advantage. Played in the swedish cup 1st rd away to Trelleborgs and was 0-3 down at halftime, got back to 2-3 but went onto lose 2-4. Finances are slowly dropping but still requests not being accepted even with a new board. Edin was probably my best player this year without much competition. Sjoqvist retired with over 400 games for the club and was still the first choice LW. Club icon and record scorer Keymer was released at the end of the season. The youth preview suggested a great talent but the intake was pretty poor with Sundberg the best of them. Its been 10 years since the 29 intake and a number of players are still at the club. Johannson has made 130 apps with 57 goals and is now my main striker. Khalil is my main DM with 122 apps and 2 goals. Berisha has flitted in and out of the team used mostly as a sub with 149 apps and 13 goals. Nilsson is a player i kept around as he had a lot of potential but has always been 4th choice LW and gone on loan a lot. Hes played 34 games for the club and 109 games on loan. Babatunde played 155 games with 12 goals before being released and played 44 games since. Svanberg played 41 games with 4 goals almost all as sub, he has played 60 games since being released. Jeppsson never played for the club but is still playing having made 80 apps for other clubs.

@Padders have you had a youth come through that was 4 or more stars CA and a starter for the team immediately. With your facilities it seems you should have but your intakes are 2.5 stars ca at best

2038 Table | Squad | Transfers Started the season quite well and was midtable for a good portion of the season. In the 2nd half of the season the team had the usual decline in performances and sunk down to just above the relegation spots, drawing a lot of games. A win in the 2nd to last game set up a final game with Karlskrona, an 88 min goal from Keymer leveled the scores at 3-3 to avoid the relegation playoff. Not entered in the swedish cup. The group stage for last seasons swedish cup is played just before the start of this season and is included in this seasons finances which doubled as a result of lucrative away games and gate takings. The board still refusing all improvements including a reserve team which is holding back the team along with a lack of competitive u19 games. Johansson started the season on fire but dropped off and was replaced by Keymer for the last few games. Edin showed how far above the rest of the squad he is and keeping hold of him could be a problem with only 1 year deals allowed. Babatunde (155 app, 11 goals) never really improved but provided a useful squad option has now left. Youth preview was a drop in quality with the new HOYD although the intake appeared no different. Majkic is maybe the best. It did feature the first non swedish youth player. The 2028 intake was 10 years ago and 2 players have established themselves, Noren has made 205 apps with 36 goals at RW. Mustafa took a while to become first choice LB but has now made 104 apps with 2 goals. Pontus Karlsson made 43 apps before leaving with only a few app since, Christian Karlsson left without an app but has made 150 apps since leaving. The other players made only a handful of apps before leaving and then retiring.

2037 Table | Squad | Transfers Predicted to finish in the lower half of the table the team started on fire and by 12 games was 5 points clear. Suddenly the wheels came off and lost 5 of the next six to drop down to 3rd as Qviding sailed into the distance. Needed to win 7 of the last 8 to make the playoffs. In the playoff group the team needed the luck of the draw to win the group. In the playoff final the team faced Oskarhamns and lost the first leg 1-2 away being lucky to keep the score down after going down to 10 men. In the home leg the team needed a dominant 2nd half to win the match and gain promotion. The team had the best defense in spite of this being the weakest part of my squad. The club finally entered the Swedish cup and faced D1S Vanersborgs at home in the 1st rd winning 3-2. In the 2nd rd the team faced D1E Osters at home but switched the tie for 15k and half the gate receipts (50k). Despite being 2nd best for much of the match the team came away with a 2-0 win. In the group stage the club were against Premier league Varnamo and Goteborg and D1E Helsingborgs, well beaten by the premier league teams the squad managed a draw against Helsingborgs to finish bottom of the group. Finances increased markedly as result of the Swedish cup run and winning the playoffs which gets 40K even though finishing in any position in the league gets nothing! All board requests were still refused. Johansson continued his progress as my top scorer. Veteran Sjoqvist and Athanasiou also contributed a lot of goals. Noren contributed many of the goals. My HOYD who had been there from the 1st season left the day before the intake with the usual promising preview. He was replaced by a new HOYD. The intake was his parting gift with Edin not just the best in the intake but the best at the club. It was just a shame he is a CM or LW as they are the positions where the team is strongest. In the ten years since the 27 intake only 1 player is still at the club, Nilsson is my regular RB and has made 79 apps with 2 goals. Strom played 117 apps with 32 goals before leaving and then retiring. Burehed made 22 apps before leaving and retiring. Jensen made 20 apps with 2 goals but has since made over 100 apps at other club since leaving. Nordvall made no apps for the club but has made 100 apps for clubs since, The rest of the players quickly retired.

2036 Table | Squad | Transfers Started the season in ok form where the team was drawing a bit and not really getting the results they should but some points above the relegation spots, In the 2nd half of the season the team lost all form with the defense a mess and all the players out of form. Gained only 8 points from the last 13 games to get relegated on the last day. Board feedback was down to F but wasn't sacked. Several of my players now want to leave of course. Finances went down a bit due to increased costs although i squeezed an extra coach from the board, a rare approved request. Johansson was one of the few players who really raised his game to lead the line and his drop in form was instrumental in the teams poor form. As a result i let Strom (117 apps, 32 goals)go at the end of the season. I also got rid of Abdirahman (136 apps) whose poor performances had got too much, he never really improved after coming through. Olsen retired and Nadin left who had been longtime players. The preview was the best yet and led to an intake where some players were not too far off the first team. Ali looks good but the team is strong in CM, Fors also has a lot to like on first look. The team is really weak in defense and GK so Petersson has some good attributes but could do with improving especially quickness. Its 10 years since the 26 intake came though and only 1 player has made an significant impact. Rated with only 2 star potential when coming through, Athanasiou has been the mainstay of the midfield for years although has developed a negative personality in the last few season. A few other players made a handful of appearances before leaving and then retiring.

you are right that rep of the player and especially the club plays a part in international caps. IRL the club rep plays a huge part with undeserving Liverpool and Man U players getting england caps, Solanke comes to mind having done absolutely nothing for liverpool or anyone else to justify a call up when he was capped.

Not surprised your GK's are not called up, the AI probably picks on CA and your GK are unlikely to be the strongest GK's available as their CA seems low even if they could do a job. Sangala looks a choice for Libero if only to boost his considerable ability. also he is not the shortest and is likely to still grow at 15,

2035 Table | Squad | Transfers Started the season in great form with only 1 defeat in the first 11 games to go into the promotion place behind Jonsereds. The good form continued allowing the team to go top with 7 games to go. 1 win the next 6 meant that top spot was relinquished and 2 other teams had nearly caught up. A nervy win against the 13th place team in the last game of the season was enough to take the team to the title as none of the other 3 team won. Finances dropped slightly due to paying for injuries, Long time players Nadin and Melin left as did Lai. Keymer would have finished as league top scorer if he hadn't got injured for 14 months. Noren set a club record for assists. The youth preview was the best yet but the intake didn't match up with it. Nakatani is probably the best. Its been 10 seasons since the first intake and many of the players form my team. Keymer has made over 200 apps with 117 goals and is a club icon. Gustafsson has also made over 200 apps and is the best player at the club. Sandin is another with 200 apps although many as sub. Abdirahman is my first choice GK with 130 apps but needs upgrading on as he hasn't really improved since he came through. Lonn has only played 65 games having been backup LB for much of his time although he played most of the season as starting CB due to the other poor choices. Pettersson played 100 games before being let go, he retired after 37 games at another club. The other players made only a handful of apps before being released and then retiring.

2034 Table | Squad | Transfers Started the season with a challenge for promotion in mind which was helped by a good start of 4 wins in the first 5 games. Injuries to my midfield disrupted the team and players lost form so they only won 1 in the next 7 to slip into midtable. The team remained there for the rest of the season unable to string together a run of results, the lack of decent options at GK and CB are holding the team back. Finances, still no movement on any requests. Tahiri and Lai were the best players. Keymer scored his hundredth goal but was otherwise poor, Strom filled in. The youth preview promised much but delivered little with some terrible personalities, Varli is raw and Franco would be really decent if his physicals were higher.

3033 Table | Squad | Transfers Had a pretty good season where the team was looking up rather than down and with 8 games to go got to within 3 points of the playoff spot but then endured a poor finish to finish quite a way off the top. Finances remain constant. This season was set up by the midfield pairing of Athanasiou whose personality declined and Tahiri. One of the first original players Sjoqvist had his best season and Keymer finished as league top scorer. The youth preview promised a needed striker but was a disappointing intake as the strikers didn't look that good. Nyman has reasonable attributes, Said will be be converted to a striker.

Table | Squad | Transfers Another season of mediocrity where the team started ok with too many draws and not really getting the points they should before a mid-season dip when they met and were outclassed by the top teams. Finished by being outclassed by those same teams at the end of the season. Finances stay the same and the board still refuses all requests, the lack of a reserve team is really frustrating as is the u19's not being in a league (teams a lot lower down are so i don't know what drives this) I finally lost patience with Omar's poor performances and got rid of him even though he was rated my best player. Jensen also left after becoming backup. Pettersson (101 apps, 9 goals) was let go after initial promising performances, had produced nothing in years. My players have shown signs of improvement but not as much as i might have hoped or expected. Gustafsson has improved hugely from 1 star to 5 and is now my best player even though his personality is average and his performances from 162 apps(134 starts) only 6.61. Keymer also has 162 apps (141 starts) with an average of 6.96 but has barely improved at all, he could be maxed out very early. With Lai declining Tahiri showed good progress at CM. Babatunde is another to play well but showing no improvement in his attributes. The youth preview and intake were slightly disappointing with none of the player really looking that good. Svensson and Haraldsson were the better players.

Its as @The_Gato_In_Goal said, there is a playoff between the bottom club and any potential promoted club and it look like that club lost. I think you need to save before the last game of the regular season and then go forward a few days and the playoff match will have appeared, replaying can change the team facing the bottom team. You may need to replay the playoff a few times until the team coming up wins

I don't know anything about him although he's likely to start 5th choice at the club unless he plays somewhere other than CB. The manager does like a ball playing CB but we spent £20 million on another this season.

Table | Squad | Transfers Similar season to so many others where the team started in indifferent form, packed up midway and ended poorly with 4 points from the last 7 games. I thought the team had been unlucky in the early season where they dominated matches creating loads but not getting results due to poor finishing and defending. I was surprised to get a message after the season that the club had set a new club record for least goals, looking at the stats the team was about midway in the league for shots, in the bottom third for chances and 2nd from bottom for conversion. The defense was the 2nd best in the league. Finances stayed the same as there are no changes to the club, although the first team is getting a bit full as the team has no reserve team. Lai and Keymer were again the best players. The youth preview promised much and the intake was underwhelming. Larson was the best which isn't saying much. Lucas is a triple national.

Yes you right about RL managers doing the same, i've seen several in action at my own club

Good work on documenting how the AI does things. I would also add that the AI concentrates on CA both when making transfers in and when picking the squad, it seems to ignore (or not take into account) players with higher PA who if played could improve. It also undervalues players when selling them for the same reason. Human players and indeed RL managers would simply not work like this.

2030 Table | Transfers | Squad Shambles of a season were the team started poorly, improved a bit and ended with just 6 points from the last 10 games. The strikers could not score and left to to the midfielders and the CB's and GK had shockers in every game not matter who played. Not entered in the Swedish cup (entry is based on area and rep, i have worked out there are 3 spots in the area and 5 teams in the area with much higher rep than mine and another 3 in the top 2 divisions which don't count for the 1st rd). Finances improved due to this windfall but the board are still refusing every request i make. Messaoudi was sold as i felt that some of the youth players were at a similar standard even though he had played 125 games with 25 goals and was club captain and favored personnel. Lai was the top scorer from CM and best player, Noren played a number of games and showed promise. Keymer scored his 50th goal and became top scorer. Youth preview and intake are a waste of time since my staff cant separate them in any way in terms of potential. Andersson, Holgersson and Tahiri look the best.

2029 Table | Squad | Transfers Started the season in reasonable form before a 6 game winless streak followed by a 6 game winning streak. This put the team within 3 points of the playoffs with 7 games to go but only 1 win meant they were resigned to midtable mediocrity again. Swedish cup was a non event again. Finances remain the same as the crowds cover the wages and the board will not increase staff or facilities. Messaoudi was the highest rated player. Keymer missed 3 months through injury but Strom stepped up well in his absence. Athanasiou is rated really poorly by my staff but seems able to do a job. The youth preview never really says much but this intake did give some players with CA very close to the first team. Berisha, Nilsson, Babatunde are all playing at LW in my formation which is a annoyance. Khalil also looks useful.
