  1. All of the teams will be working on their individual bits, I'm sure. I think Football Manager over recent years has just been a case of technical debt getting more and more out of hand. Hopefully this switch to Unity is a chance to rebuild the most broken parts of the foundations. I'm not sure it will though but we can hope.
  2. It's more like they've realized it isn't a 2 week fix so they didn't aim for 2 weeks. They'll patch together as much as they can over the next x amout of weeks and months. Doesn't give me much hope for other improvements they've promised. Like AI squad building. And even less for the porting over to Unity.
  3. To fix interactions and promises I think they'd have to rebuild them from the ground up and they're not doing that. For that reason I didn't believe it when they mentioned it in their adverts. Lying is allowed as long as it isn't on the steam page or the back of the box.
  4. You might if a small bug that remains in your game becomes a big bug 15 seasons later though.
  5. Not a bug, they're just modeling their manager AI on David Wagner.
  6. Yeah, they always have a lot of updates to data after the full release. Things like licenses not being fully implemented and so on as well as lots of touched up player data. Bug fixes of course are the most important part of the update.
  7. Bugs that have been fixed in the update sometimes persist in pre update saves so I'd never go deep into a beta save. Am I being overly cautious?
  8. That's interesting. Through my eyes we've been getting a load of blocks in the box, and a lot more natural feeling blocks than in previous MEs too, Wish we had more in midfield though. Last beta is a close to that as we're getting.
  9. They already did that a year or two ago, remember. You'll have to manage your squad building and subs or your team will die remember? oh wait, that was just in their advertising.
  10. Yeah, I don't think it'll be anywhere near as easy as turning a knob or they'd have done it before release. I'm betting it'll be like last year and a lot of the good stuff gets tuned backwards towards 2022. At least the animations will still look nicer.
  11. I didn't even try and negotiate up with the Saudi clubs as selling to them already felt like cheating. Managing Chelsea, all in season 2. Ben Chilwell - Al-Hilal - 62m Robert Sanchez - Al-Hilal - 33m (didn't play for me at all in the first season) Romelu Lukaku - Al-Ittihad - 37m Deivid Washington - Al-Qadsiah - 16m (4 goals in 27 in France in the previous season but spells his name Deivid so probably has high potential tbf) Harvey Vale - Al-Qadsiah - 12m (bang average youth player who played in league 1 the previous season) Had a huge bid for Kepa too but he picked the smaller wage at Madrid for ehatever reason. Safe to say I'm going to be playing in a smaller league in the full game.
  12. I'd not been following because it was pretty obvious from just playing, interesting numbers though. It's actually one of the scarier things in regards to a fix. Is this finishing the the knock on effect of one of the things that's making this year's match engine more fun to play? If so do they just revert that change or do they do a quick and nasty fix that makes keepers into supermen or strikers miss everything.
  13. Yeah, graphically it looks a little nicer but it's not much more than a filter (that you seemingly see being applied every half). I think the marketing was misleading in a few places but all that matters is that 5 gazzilian matches will be played and it will be their furthest reaching game ever. They'd never tell porkies though, it's just marketing.
  14. I think they took it out, along with fining them for it. Certainly the fining part anyway.
  15. I had a player that was upset every time I started a certain striker, even though he was scoring goals. Who says Adam Idah isn't Chelsea quality?
  16. How do you even exploit a game like Football manager for views on Youtube? At a glance he doesn't seem to be click baiting negativity. Haven't all of them, including lokidoki, been saying that it's not only the best FM ever but it's the best game ever too. I give it 2 weeks after full release before the honeymoon period is over for them all.
  17. I've not yet personally but from what I've seen and read they seem to be a decent addition. Only really going to know when we test it across many seasons and a lot of players.
  18. A 'watch youtube highlight reel' feature that gives you a massively inflated view of the player. They could get the music rights of Fort Minor's Remember The Name to make it feel even more authentic.
  19. To be fair Brighton Start with a much better squad than United. Also if it was a youtube save, I'd say just take that as entertainment and not actually what happened. I've seen a few of those over the years and there always seem to be off camera sections where they go on an out of the blue 7 game winning streak or something.
  20. Some bugs that have been patched out in the full release could persist in old saves. In that there's potential for annoyance and even small annoyances become larger if you see them all the time. There's obviously potential for game breaking stuff and that's not something I'm happy to risk going into a longterm save.
  21. Overcoming the 1 or 2 big teams in a medium sized league league is always a compelling save. Leagues where there's not a silly amount of money but with a well built squad you can still win the Champions League. Scotland is obviously a pretty good one with anyone but Celtic or Gers. Austria with anyone but Red Bull Saltsburg. Czech Republic with anyone not the 2 big Prague teams. Overthrowing the big 3 (or 4 if you include Braga) in Portugal. Once you've gotten some practice in those leagues go and take on Wales with anyone but The New Saints. Now that can be a grind of a challenge..
