@Marc Vaughan a suggestion:
While creating the manager giving us the option to start, not only with unknown, local or continental, but also regional and national.
For us that like to start unemployed would give us some diversity and a middle ground, right now all we have is start at the bottom (which is fun) or 90% of the clubs wanting us.

The channel is growing slowly but already getting a friendly community if anyone else wants to join us

Unknown is the very lowest possible reputation and local is just above that.
I'll take a look at Argentina to see if there is anything unique in that setup (I have to admit I tend to manage in England during most of my test games and have limited experience with the Argentinian league myself).
Yes I know, what I mean that if there's any actual difference when applying for jobs, it doesn't seem to be a obvious difference, the job offers I get through a season are pretty much the same teams/leagues, so wondering if it makes any difference at all for unemployed managers.

Also, is there any difference between unknwon and local reputation when applying for jobs? Did the same test (applying for all jobs for one season) and still didn't get any offer from Argentina)

The reputations will generally mean that you'll find it easier to find jobs at 'home' than abroad, however at the game start different leagues will have different amounts of jobs open and I expect a large factor is simply that there are fewer jobs open for hiring in Argentina at the game start than in some other leagues.
(I'll check into this later - I'm cooking Sunday lunch presently)I don't actually mean at game start, I applied to every job for a whole season (as a test) in those 4 leagues and that was my result, no one offer from Argentina.

Also been testing out starting unemployed with unknown reputation. Started with Argentinian nationality to see if I could get a job in Argentina tier 2 and got zero offers while I got plenty of offers from Germany tier 3, Holland tier 2 and Mexico tier 2, not sure if it's intended but wouldn't it be more realistic for a unknown manager to have more offers in his own country than abroad?

I'll take a look at tweaking reputation changes in a future update, thanks for the feedback
Thanks, would be great for us journeyman managers

Reputation definetly feels unrealistic and could use some tweaking
I could win league and cup for 2-3 years in a row with Atromitos in Greece and still clubs like Olympiakos, AEK or Panathinakos won't hire me as a manager if my nationality is not Greek, basically you need to win everything domestically for few years to get continental reputation and that only applies to stronger leagues I believe
Exactly, I've had save in FMM 20 where I would get promotions and cup wins and I was pretty much a nobody. Seems its the same this year for weaker leagues anyway.

I'm wondering if nationality affects from where you get job offers from. I started a save with Canadian nationality in the Canada league and, despite setting my manager option has "looking for a new challenge", in 5 or 6 seasons all I got was one offer from another Canadian team (I have Canada, USA, Mexico and England loaded).
Also my reputation is stuck on regional, even though I got this trophy cabinet, North American champions league included, guessing this also affects not getting any job offers but feels a bit unrealistic.

If it helps my eyesight is pretty awful (I'm only just able to drive legally) and I've made sure FMM21 is playable on my iPhone7 for me
(as I was a little disappointed with some of the text sizing on it for FMM20)I don't know what you did but the font this year doesn't hurt my eyes, can actually read confortably, so thank you!

Update - Yay I can finally play in Argentina in FMM21!
Next up, a country I can manage in Africa so I can play in CAF Champions League (and FMM to allow for 5 leagues so I can play in Africa/Asia/Europe/North America/South America)
That I can fully agree! Would love a African league and the ability to load 5 leagues so I could try to win all 5 continental cups.

Yeah I agree, just a stepping stone.
I loaded all the leagues in the Americas as a Jamaican national. No way am I sticking round here forever. To be honest I'm still getting my head round what my best team is though with all the new tactical options!
Same, I'm most using this team as testing ground for tactics and experimenting a lot, I'm still on local rep but plan on moving on soon.
I plan to do as you did, loading all the American leagues, but this save I have Mexico, Argentina, Portugal and Italy loaded.

Never mind, they asked me for the title, not promotion. Gonna be tough to hold on for that many seasons without a chance for promotion, might move on if there's a chance.

I've done exactly the same thing as you. According to Wikipedia, there is no promotion or relegation for 6 seasons: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Liga_de_Expansión_MX
Wow really? Then why is the board asking me for promotion? 😁 Maybe thay doesn't apply in FMM, I'm still halfway through the season, trying to figure out what's going in the league.

Started the new FM Mobile experience unemployed and ended up in tier 2 of Mexican League but I'm struggling to understand the promotion rules, are there any guides on the Mexican league structure?

So I made one, the lack of replies makes me assume no one made one yet:
Created a few channels to get us started, hopefully a few will join 😊

Love the fact that the badges now aren't just some circles with colours, there's diversity, don't even feel the need to go look for official badges like in previous versions.
On another note there seems to have been some mix up with the team in the screenshot, it's just Vilaverdense FC, not sure where that "Lank" came from.

I know there's plenty of football manager discord channels out there but haven't found one dedicated to FM mobile yet, is there any around? Was going to create one but if it already exists there's no point.
Yep there's forums and Facebook groups but personally I like the more instant talk and it's a nice way to share experiences/ask for help/brag 😜

If I'm feeling particularly nostalgic I might save the game before resigning in case I feel like returning, then continue on a different save slot.
Yeah that's what I do too. Not the first time I decide to go back.

Agree, a small detail that would like to see.

I know you can manage both a national side and a club at the same time ... is it possible to manage 2 club sides at the same time ? Int the same country or different countries ? If so how !!! I already manage Gateshead (haha) as premier league and euro champions!!
Not that I know of. When I feel I achieved all I can at a certain club I usually resign and go find a new job.

Just had a thought - do you all play FMM on a phone? I’d struggle with that with my eyes. I only ever play it on my iPad in my lounge. The game plays very well on a tablet.
Yep I play on the phone, even played on a small iPhone 5 before, switched to android for a bigger screen for cheaper prices but still have issues with the small fonts (old age I guess ) . On FMM 20 I got a bigger font from a fan site that helped me a lot.

Hmm I get that but like I posted before, for people who start unemployed unknown and local it's the same when looking for jobs, I've tested both and didn't spot any difference when it comes to job offers, just feel like regional or national would be like a halfway between continental and unknown.
