  1. Congrats, @thomas_e!! That’s another completed challenge for you. Very impressive!
  2. Well, the thing I was afraid of, just happened. I lost two of my best players. Both of them didn't want to stay at JJK any longer, so this was the best I could get for them. The money is very welcome, and in both deals we managed to get a 50% clausule. And I think we will get some nice money in the future if Haglund 23e is developing well at Napoli. With this money we are finally able to upgrade our Youth Facilities for the first time!
  3. Jyväskylän Jalkapalloklubi Season review Season 3 | 2025 What a fantastic season this was!! For the first time in our history we became champions of Finland!! It was a great battle between JJK and HJK. And in the final match of the season we played against HJK at home. We had 2 points more then them, so a draw would be enough. But we managed to beat them with 1-0, and became champions of Finland. Fantastic! So that means we will play Champions League next season. In the Suomen Cup we lost in the Qtr Final against KuPs. First XI These are the players that brought us the title. As you can see, I'm using a lot of Academy players already. Only five of them are real players. My GK Viljala is still my first choice, and that won't change next season. DL Saarikko played almost everything, but he's our weakest link at the moment. So he will probably loosing his spot next season. Kirvesoja is a key player for us. Striker Lehtonen is still scoring a lot of goals, but he lost his place in the first team. And the last real player is Arttu Leivonen. Still only 20 years old, and scoring some very important goals for us. He's a good backup for even Nyberg 24f, Eriksson 23e or Eerola 24c. Some of these youngsters really surprised me this season. DC Pietilä 24e was the biggest surprise for me. I put him in the first team as our left DC because his left foot is 'reasonable'. And I recognised his talent, but I didn't expext such an development. FC København and FK Bodø/Glimt are now interested in signing him. And he's not the only one: a lot of my players are on shortlists all around Europe. Topscorer and our best player Kalle Haglund 23a for example. He is wanted by Juventus. Or Nyberg 24f, where Ajax is keen on signing him. I really hope that I can keep all these players and try to reach the CL Group Stage with them. GK Ville Viljala DR Ilkka Jokela 23i DC Joonas Tuomela 23h DC Risto Pietilä 24e DL Jimi Saarikko MC Daniil Konov 23f MC Ville Kirvesoja AMR Janne Eriksson 23e AMC Kalle Haglund 23a AML Jarkko Nyberg 24f SC Juha Eerola 24c Sub Arttu Leivonen Sub Aleksis Lehtonen Sub Kalle Pasanen 23d Sub Fred Diakité 23k Europa Conference League Our first European adventure ended in the Third Qual. Round. AS Roma was a bridge too far, although we almost surprised them in our home match. But I'm very happy with our wins against Glentoran and NK Olimpija Ljubljana.
  4. Jyväskylän Jalkapalloklubi Youth intake season 3 | 2025 I'm back in Finland! I continued my save with JJK, and I'm currently in season 2025, my third season at this club. In the last weeks I posted about my save in Germany with Lok Leipzig, but I wasn't really enjoying it. So I went back to this save, and I just love it. I will do the season review later, as the season isn't over. But I will post about the youth intake first. The preview we got was a promising one. I made U20 Manager Tim Sparv responsible for the intakes. He has a Model Citizen, so I hope it will effect our intakes. The intake itself was a very good one! No less then 9 Elite Talents, and some of them shows lots of potential. And last but not least: we got our first 2 internationals! Haglund 23a and Eriksson 23e, both from our very succesful 2023 intake, have been called up for the National Team of Finland. To be called up is one thing, but scoring a hattrick in your first international match is just magnificant! And Haglund 23a scored the other goal, so both of my players were responsible for all the goal for Finland and their great win against Turkey. This is just great!
  5. I think you can better start your own thread, because this is against the rules of this challenge. Sorry, mate.
  6. 1. FC Lokomotive Leipzig Season review Season 3 | 2025/2026 That was again a good season for us. More points than last season, but a lower place in the league. I'm still very happy about this season, as we are now definitely good enough for the 2. Bundesliga. Topscorer was, again, Djamal Ziane. This guy is scoring goals for fun really. With 23 league goals he also became topscorer of the league. And he's 34 already, so this was probably his last season as our main striker. Some other good players this season were Julian Weigel, Luca Sirch, Osman Atilgan and Bogdan Rangelov. I also played a lot with Academy players this season. Prince Ondon 23d, Wenzel Watkowiak 24b, Karl-Heinz Peitz 25b, Marco Däbritz 24e, Nicholas Morgan 23e and Yaak Lul 23c got the most playing time. Some of them are developing really well. In the Cup we lost in the Secound Round against Wolfsburg. Youth intake The preview was very, very promising. But the intake itself was a bit underwhelming, to be honest. I expected more from this, after such a preview. Only 2 Elite Talents. So yeah, things are going very good at the moment. The club is growing, our players are getting better and better. But it feels like i'm a bit 'Germany-tired'. I really love this club and the progress of the save. But I'm not sure if I'll continue it right now, because I want something different then Germany. I'll take a short break from this save, and I'll come back for sure. But I don't know when.
  7. 1. FC Lokomotive Leipzig Mid season review Season 3 | 2025/2026 We are now halfway season 2025/2026, in my third season at this club. And things are going very well! We are 4th in the league after 17 games. So we don't have to worry about relegation. We are still far from ready for promotion, so a place somewhere around 4th - 7th would be fantastic. With the money from last season, we were able to upgrade our facilities. The club is growing and growing! The youth intake preview looks very promising! We also got a new Head of Youth Development: Thomas Caers. I'm very happy that we could hire him as our new HoYD.
  8. Pffff... Lul 23c scored his first goal for us in the first match of the new season. And then this happened...
  9. 1. FC Lokomotive Leipzig Season 2 | 2024/2025 2. Bundesliga What a season it was! As posted earlier today, we had a terrific season. We played until the end of the season for a playoff ticket. But in the end we finished 5th. I'm very proud about this season and this league finish! And with this league finish, we earned a lot of money So our financial problems are over. We can finally start upgrading, although the board already accepted an upgrade to the Junior Coaching Budget(twice!) and Youth Recruitment earlier this season. And I also got my first coaching licenses: National C & B. We also played in the DFB-Pokal, but lost in the First Round against VfL Bochum. Keyplayers Our curent keyplayers are Osman Atilgan, İsa Doğan, Farid Abderrahmane, Luca Sirch, Bogdan Rangelov, Djamal Ziane, Julian Weigel and Eric Voufack. Youth development Looking at our youth players, some of them are developing really well. From the 2023-intake(the holiday-year-intake) I gave a lot of playtime to Yaak Lul 23c. A very tall defender, good personality. Also Coulibaly 23A and Morgan 23E played a lot. A bit of a surprise was the development of Ondon 23D. He's developing nicely and also played 3 matches. From the 2024 intake Wenzel Watkowiak 24b played a lot of matches, mainly because we haven't got many leftbacks. Beiersdorf 24c is also developing really well. He didn't play a match because Voufack is our main player at the RB position. But I'll add him to the squad for next season. Youth preview & intake Supporter Profile Update
  10. Just a sneak preview about my current season; I can't believe we are even in the running for a promotion place! This is our first season in 2. Bundesliga and we are performing way above expectations. With 3 home games in the last 4 matches everything is still possible. But to be honest: I hope we keep this 4th place. We are absolutely not ready for the Bundesliga. But to be in this position after 30 matches is just incredible. We will get a lot of money when the season is over, that's for sure. Can't wait for it, because we can finally start upgrading our facilities! And a beautiful side note: 3 of the 4 mentioned clubs are East-German clubs
  11. 1. FC Lokomotive Leipzig We are now halfway our second season, and our first in 2. Bundesliga. Things are going very well! We are in a 5th place, and are performing above any expectations. We are also finally able to upgrade some of our facilities. And beside that, I'm able to start a coaching course. The youth intake preview doesn't look very promising, although it's labelled as a golden generation.
  12. What a player!! Let's hope you can keep him for a couple of years!
  13. My HoYD Peter Laudenklos left the club after just one year. He signed at Karlsruhe. So I searched for a new HoYD and found this Bosnian guy: Haris Alihodzic. A Resolute personality, which is very good. His favorite formation is not how I play, but we'll see how it goes. And for the upcoming season, 2024/2025, I made some new kits. I tried to make some historical looking kits, without a sponsor.
  14. 1. FC Lokomotive Leipzig Season review Season 1 | 2023/2024 What a season!!! I already showed a screenshot of the league table with just 2 games to play. Well, those two games ended up in a two draws. But it was enough!! We are the champions of 3. Liga!! It was a really good season for us and competed for the league title for almost the whole season, together with Magdeburg and St. Pauli. Our striker Djamal Ziane scored 25 goals for us and became the topscorer of the league. Other notable players arewinger Osman Atilgan, defender Luca Sirch, midfielder Farid Abderrahmane and goalkeeper İsa Doğan. There is one player from the "holiday year-intake" who is developing really well: Yaak Lul 23c. A bit of a weird name, because the name "Lul" means "dick" in English. But it looks like a really nice player! I think this guy can develop into a good CB for us. We also get a stadium upgrade, but only for 500 seats. There is no money at the club, so hopefully after next season we can finally start upgrading our facilities. And I'm still not allowed to start a Coaching Course, so hopefully next season. League table Supporter Profile Update Club Overview Squad overview Youth intake The youth intake preview was quite promising. But the intake itself was not a good one. No Elite Talents. Maybe some of them are good enough in the future, but none of them really stand-out.
  15. This is a massive, massive win! We managed to win against one of our biggest competitors. With only 2 games left to play(one of them against the other competitor for the title, St. Pauli) , we can almost touch promotion and the 3. Liga title!
  16. WOW!! All that money That's not happening very often in my saves!
  17. I would definitely go for Wrzesinski, because of his Perfectionist personality. His 7 for Working With Youngsters is very low, that's true. But I would give it a go, mainly because I never go for a Balanced HoYD.
  18. That doesn't sound like a promising intake, @Sn00gle...
  19. 1. FC Lokomotive Leipzig I'm sorry, but I can't resist it. I was enjoying my save in Finland with JJK, and will continue it for sure. But I really want to complete this challenge with an East-German side. I got a soft spot for this club: Lok Leipzig. A big club back in the DDR-past with a very rich history. I love their history, their logo, their stadium, their club colours. So before I continue my save in Finland, I'll give Germany another go. There are better options then Lok Leipzig if you want a financial steady East-German club: Chemnitz, CZ Jena or Energie Cottbus for example. The financial situation at our club isn't that good. We don't have big sponsor contracts. So until we get promoted to 2. Bundesliga, it will be a struggle. I can't even start a Coaching Course.
  20. What a great season, @thomas_e! What a great CL debut!!
  21. That are some really, really nice players, @fries! Good luck in the PL next season!
  22. Let's hope you can still turn it around! How does your best youngsters look like right now?
  23. Jyväskylän Jalkapalloklubi (JJK) Season 2 | 2024 Veikkausliiga | 5th Well, that was a great season for us! Our first season on the highest level in Finland, and it was a succesful one. We finished 5th, and qualified for the Champions Group. The league split after 22 games. The first six will play in the Champions Group, while the other six play in the Relegation Group. We did well! Won surprisingly against champion HJK and against TPS. We lost our last game against our rivals KuPS, and I thought that our season was over at that point. Finished 5th, great for a first season, time for holiday. But I then got the message that we qualified for the European Places Playoff Qtr Final! I didn't know about that. We won against FC Lahti, in the Semi Final we won against TPS. So we had to play the Final against our rivals KuPS. We first won our home match with 1-0. In the away match we were under al ot of pressure, but it stayed 0-0. So that means that we qualified for Europe!!! We are going into the Europa Conference League!!! I'm very happy about that. In the Cup we won our Group, but in the Second Round we lost against SJK. I integreted a lot of youngsters from 2023 intake in our team. Some of them developed really, really well. Five of them are first team players already. The player who really stand-out is Kalle Haglund 23a. Let's take a look at his development. He is developing nicely, and is already our best player. Internazionale is interested in signing him, but I hope that I can keep him around at the club. Also three other players are developing really well: Because of this good season, our board was willing to upgrade our Junior Coaching Budget and Youth Recruitment again. They are now maxed out! Youth intake The preview was, again, unbelievable: The intake itself was, also again, a great one! Some really nice players. Some of them will get a chance in the first team next season. Our finances are terrible at the moment. Hopefully our European campaign next season will bring us some money.
  24. That's a great choice!! Very nice club. I reloaded lots of times to get them in the past, but never got them. Good luck!
