  1. As the title says, the Passing Dynamics graphic does not show the teams up. See the screenshot.

  6. You don't need to create a defensive system for away games. Your best option is to use Balanced. Anything below that you are just inviting pressure and that will result in goals against your team. If you want to score goals you play with an Attacking or Positive mentality and if you want to keep it going and your team is still threatening then you play with Balanced for the rest of the game.
  7. Open that file inside notepad and then click Ctrl+F then a popup will appear which is find/replace.
  8. These bugs have been fixed with the new 24.2 update? @Kyle Brown
  9. So as @Aoyao says its more about playing style and not passing style?
  10. Your best bet is to use every instruction related to press on maximum like: Counter-Press Much Higher Defensive Line High Press Much More Often Prevent Short GK Distribution Step Up More This is the easiest approach so you can get better results on defensive phase of the game. Other problem could be your formation and/or your roles you are using. And another approach on this is to tweak your tactic for each opponent which this is more specific and more difficult to achieved.
  11. So it affects players make space for themselves to receive the ball etc? If you add Pass It Shorter to a player and he has these traits Tries Long Range Passes and/or Likes To Switch Ball To Wide Areas then they conflict. So? Also if you add More Direct Passing and he has these traits Plays Short Simple Passes, Plays One-Twos and/or Dictates Tempo then they also conflict.
  12. As you can see from the screenshots, I have added Does Not Move Into Channels trait to my AF through InGame Editor and it does not show the indicator of conflict with the hardcoded Move Into Channels.
  13. I agree 100%. I can't imagine a real manager giving instructions to his players without knowing what each instruction does. An example of speech: Manager - Ok lads, today I want you to pass into space with shorter passing and at the same time work ball into the box. Players - And how exactly are we going to do that? Manager - I don't know, just do them and if I spot any issues I will try to adjust my tactics over the next 5+ matches.
  14. Hi everyone! I want to point out some information about the team instructions that some may have missed. It applies to old and new players of the game. The game has several instructions so the user can create many combinations and sometimes they can be confusing. Either start with a preset tactical style (Control Possession, Gegenpress, etc.) or build something from scratch, several times we don't know what each instruction affects in general. Within the 'Match Plans' we can see that the instructions are divided into separate categories such as - Possession, Penetration, Shape, Defending and General. Below I have listed them in each category and what it means: Possession - These are the instructions that will determine how your team manages possession of the ball Pass Into Space Play Out Of Defence Mixed Crosses / Float Crosses / Whipped Crosses / Low Crosses Work Ball Into Box Hit Early Crosses Shoot On Sight Run At Defence / Dribble Less Passing Directness - Much Shorter / Shorter / Standard / Slightly More Direct / Much More Direct Penetration - These are the instructions that will determine how you penetrate with the ball from your GK until the final third Overlaps / Underlaps Focus Play - Down The Left or/and Right Flank(s) or Through The Middle Distribute Quickly / Slow Pace Down Distribute To Area / Player / Position Roll It Out / Throw It Long / Take Short Kicks / Take Long Kicks Shape - These are the instructions that will determine your team's shape in and out of possession Attacking Width Counter / Hold Shape Defensive Line Step Up More Defending - These are the instructions that will determine how your team behave out of possession Line Of Engagement - Low Block / Mid Block / High Press Trigger Press Prevent Short GK Distribution Tackling - Get Stuck In / Stay On Feet Drop Off More Counter-Press / Regroup General - These instructions are general guidelines for your team to follow in all aspects of the game Time Wasting Tempo Play for Set Pieces Creative Freedom - Be more Expressive / Discipline Pressing Traps - Trap Inside / Outside Cross Engagement - Stop / Invite Crosses *If someone can enrich this thread with exactly what each instruction does or roughly does then it would help tremendously. HAPPY FMing everyone
  15. Hi @Kyle Brown, Why this issue is not tagged as 'known issue' yet? I think its clear that there is a bug here. At least it maybe a UI bug.
  16. The first thing that comes to my mind is to remove Drop Off More because you set your defensive line to be higher than standard. It doesn't make sense. Next thing i will recommend is to set your trigger press to much more often.
  17. As @Silver Sweeper says your tactical style doesn't encourages your players to really run behind the defence and much more. I recommend these changes in terms of TIs: Much Shorter Passing to Shorter and remove work ball into the box, overlaps and frequently waste time. Also its more obvious to remove Step Up More because you have your BPD on cover duty so this is conflicted to each other. Add Counter as this instruction got helped from Pass Into Space.
