  1. @Mahzun_Savas @thomas_e Zealand has a video showing exactly how it works (if you're talking about that one?)
  2. I started a save with Macclesfield but after realising I might have to play over 750 games before I even get to the Premier League, I started getting cold sweats and a rash. So I decided to go back to Belgium, despite the financial bug and despite a place where I've failed for the last 4 versions. Hopefully, I'll get a takeover or a 1 in a million youngster I can sell to negate the bug altogether. _________________________________________________________________________________________________________ We landed on Eendracht Aalst, mostly because of their relatively big following, we had over 1700 season ticket holders for season 1. ____________________________________________________________________ Season 1 Summary League Champions! We made a mockery of the media prediction of 5th and a board requirement of mid-table. With 2 of the best 5 players in the league available to us (according to the media), I knew we had a chance of a good season. We had a fantastic season. An opening day 6-0 win saw us top of the league after week 1, a position we never relinquished. We secured promotion with 7 games remaining and the title followed 3 games later. We also amazingly made the semi-final of the cup, narrowly losing to eventual winners Club Brugge, 2-1 on aggregate. __________________________________________________________________________________________ Squad We got very lucky when we were greeted with this monster youth player that was generated while we were holidaying: Igor Lecocq After a full season of first-team football, he developed nicely and is already considered a good player for the top division here in Belgium. Hopefully, we can get some good money and a sell-on fee when he decides to leave. _______________________________________________________________________________________________ Youth preview and intake We were promised an excellent intake, but our highest previewed player was rated C. When the Intake arrived, it was considered a 1-star poor intake with 0 elite prospects. The actual group of players was okay IMO so the truth was probably somewhere in the middle. Joaquim Mantagne was considered best in class. ____________________________________________________________________________________________ Other stuff No transfers in. We lost 900k despite the aforementioned semi-final cup run. Our facilities were downgraded. We're so broke, I can't even get them to send me on a coaching course. Apart from that, we're doing well! _________________________________________________________________________________
  3. Robbie Savage is our owner and director of football. He also appears to be an excellent HOYD for our level, and he's not taking a wage!
  4. I'm starting with Macclesfield. They've got a big fanbase and I love the idea of success with a Phoenix club. I'm determined to stick this out until I get fired or complete it. ____________________________________________________________________________ Boring legal stuff
  5. I was ready to start somewhere in Europe but that Bingo card has me itching to start in England! I'll be back soon with my first club
  6. Quick question fellow managers, what happens to these beta saves once the full game is out? I've never played early access before but would love to start early this year.
  7. We joined 10-ish games into the season with Pohang rooted to the foot of the table. I was pretty surprised at their league position because their squad is easily good enough for the top 4 of the league. We made a few excellent signings, and over the course of the next 25 games or so, displayed Championship winning form. We eventually finished safely in 7th, but due to the end-of-season league split, we actually had the 5th most points in the league. I was surprised that nobody gave us any trouble in the league at all, so I'm not looking for a new Korean team. I genuinely think we can complete Asia with these, so I'll be staying for the foreseeable future. Challenge progress: Domestic cups 1/10: Chinese FA Cup (NJ City - 2024)
  8. New job! A bit of a sideways move, but the finances and structure of the club are light years ahead of NJ City. The board also agreed to my request for a coaching course during the interview. The first task is to avoid relegation and build a squad ready to compete next season.
  9. FA Cup winners + League runners-up It was a memorable season which almost finished with a league and cup double. We were relentless from start to finish but couldn't reel in Shandong who have a budget 10 times the size of ours. During pre-season our board decided to build a new stadium, this put us in terrible debt and forced our wage budget to be slashed twice during the season. It now sits at a paltry 14k p/w, SH Port for example have 350k to spend on wages and I finished above them. I couldn't even go on a training course and still sit at National C after 2 seasons. I was just treading water so I rejected the board's offer of a new contract and found myself unemployed again. ________________________________________________________________________________ Challenge progress: Domestic cups: 1/10: Chinese FA Cup
  10. Champions! We won the Chinese 1st division (2nd tier) at the first attempt. It should have been a lot more comfortable such was our dominance, but HGL Ice City only lost 2 games all season and pushed us all the way. We finally secured the title on the last weekend. Old man Pedersen was our star player in a record-breaking season for him. ____________________________________________________________________________________________ I really need a new job soon, the finances and facilities here are terrible, so that's the aim for next season.
  11. A blast from the past. Can still do a decent job as long as I don't ask him to move!
  12. I managed to get a job offer after 6 months. Every South African team turned me down. Their reputations were much higher than mine so it makes sense. Eventually, a second-division Chinese team gave us a chance. I've never managed in China before so I'm excited to get started.
  13. I'm getting a little burned out on the youth academy challenge, so I'm giving this a go. I really enjoyed my last attempt. I'll aim for my 1st job in South Africa.
  14. I'd love the marine.fm file with Dorchester, Marine and Hornchurch please
  15. Hey, @XaW do you still have a save file for Dorchester that you mentioned a few months back? What about a file for Bury Town?
  16. That's strange? Try going back another week to May 30th.
  17. June 20th. For different teams to be promoted, make a save around June 6th
  18. As long as they come up from the 4th and are unplayable in the first season, it's fine. I was just letting you know how to get different teams because France is different from most leagues this year for some reason.
  19. With 6 divisions to navigate, you can't get much longer term than England. Alternatively, you could pick a country where it'll be easier to triumph domestically in the short-term (possibly) and then in the long-term trying to crack Europe. Croatia, Czech Republic, or somewhere in Scandinavia maybe?
  20. France has 4 divisions showing and simulating but the lowest league you can pick is the 3rd tier, that's why you weren't getting any new teams because Toulon had already been promoted and you weren't going back far enough. 1 way around it is saving the game before the season starts in August and holidaying until June, that's how you'll get new teams. Alternatively, you can literally manage any team in the 4th tier but you have to save scum throughout the season ensuring your chosen team wins enough to get promoted!
  21. MK Dons in the Champions League and it's 'only' 2040!?!?!?
