  1. Not sure if you can do that, but right click on a player's surname in the tactics screen and the option should be there.
  2. If you're not a huge favourite just praise them, they'll be happy and that helps. They can only get complacent if they're not a good character and have a rating over 7.0. If you are a huge favourite, then just don't use shouts because then some players might get uniterested/frustrated/confused after most shouts.
  3. If that's the case then get on his nerves as much as possible so that he actually agrees to a mutual termination. Criticise conduct and training every week (pick alll the worst options) and ask him to play out of position and fine him 2 weeks worth of wages ih he underperforms. He'll be likely to agree to a mutual termination in a couple of months.
  4. I don't know much, I've just seen multiple bug reports on it and I've experienced the same bug in my save.
  5. If the player is registered for the competition, he will serve his ban regardless of his injury.
  6. If the player isn't being scouted, you should always get the option to scout further. But sometimes, just like on the pic you've attached, the scouts annoyingly inform you that they've just started scouting a player so you don't have the option to scout further.
  7. 1. Acknowledge is just a fancy word for "OK, next one." If you want to scout the player further, use Scout player. 3. Infinitely.
  8. I've had a few reactions, but nothing significant or particularly interesting.
  9. I think it used to on FM20, but it doesn't on 22. I've checked it and made a feature request, though I don't have a clue if that's actually relevant for the assignments.
  10. Staff -> Responsibilities -> Advice and Reports -> click on coaching -> untick Suitable captain/vice-captain.
  11. Losing in the preliminary qualifying or the first qual. round sends you into ECL 2nd qual. round. Yeah, losing in EL qualifying rounds just qualifies you for the next ECL round.
  12. The article you provided has mislead you as it simplifies the rules a bit. The registration rules you see in the game are actually the A list rules, while the B list isn't necessary as the game correctly allows you to play club-trained players without registering them for UEFA competitions. Here are this year's UCL regulations for reference: https://documents.uefa.com/r/Regulations-of-the-UEFA-Champions-League-2022/23/Article-45-Player-lists-Online Look up article 45 where everything is explained in detail. However, it would be great if SI fixed points 45.07 and 45.08 as I suggested in a bug report I made a while ago. The deadlines and the number of subsequently registered players needs fixing.
  13. The star ratings are relative to your squad, but keep in mind that scouts can make mistakes or slight misjudgements. If that 4-star wingback you're looking to buy is playing in a league that's considerably worse that your is, your scout can overestimate the player's ability. Or he can underestimate a player's ability if the player you're scouting isn't playing regularly or is playing at a much higher level where he isn't comfortable yet. Also, if the player is in form, that means he gets an extra half a star.
  14. You do know you can turn that off on the shortlists page? Just untick "Keep scout reports up to date".
  15. Just create a Steam account, donwload the game and play it like any other normal person does.. Steam will not ask you for your soul.
  16. Yeah, you won't have another chance to register new players for the UEL until the beginning of February.
  17. If you're talking about the September registration deadline for Europa League, no, you can't add players after you confirm your squad all the way until the KO rounds when you'll be able to register three new players.
  18. You can always create a separate shortlist for players you want to have a closer look at. Other than that, sorting by scout recommendation works well for me.
  19. I'm not defending anything. I'm just explaining what's the game trying to "communicate" when you concede a goal like that. And, while it's uncommon, set-piece goals where someone is left unmarked in the box do happen. The game just doesn't have a better animation than this to show such goals.
  20. You usually concede something like this when your team needs to train defensive set-pieces. Add defending free-kicks and corners to your training schedule and you'll be fine for a few months.
  21. The game has problems with imterpreting that. I once saw an offside called for a cross that flew a fair few meters over my attacker. The ball was so overhit that my striker didn't even try jumping. I've also seen offside calls like this one. The ball is cleaely played towards a player who's left of the player making the pass, but the game blows for offside because there was a player offside on the right side. Btw, you can't create bug reports for ME issues anymore and there were a few reports for such offsides.
  22. Praising player conduct has never returned a negative reaction for me. I genuinely think that's a free morale booster for the manager. Criticizing conduct usually elicits a negative reaction. Especially when a player has behaved inappropriately. The players react positively only if they have a very close relationship with you and if their personality is one of the positive ones. Personally, I wouldn't try my luck with criticizing a player's conduct.

    Loan-backs

Loan-backs are a great introduction to FM. I like them a lot, but they still have some room for improvement. It would be helpful if we could offer loan-backs, just like loans, outside of the transfer window. It would also be nice if we could ask the agent if the player is interested in staying at his club or get that info on his transfer offer page. Thanks for reading this.
