  1. Kudos for the effort put in to find that out. It largely backs up what we assumed was the case. It’s often why I never target a specific team to take over and instead just go with the best on offer rather than reloading 100s of times to get someone specific.
  2. Won’t be allowed I’d imagine, given you’d have to boost their reputation in order to do so which would be an unfair advantage for managing that particular team from what it was previously. Conversely I don’t think reducing the reputation of other teams would be allowed either given if any of the get promoted at the same time or in a later season they’d be at a disadvantage.
  3. If they do fix it there will be a rush by many to start a save as it’s one of the most promising leagues to not have been completed yet
  4. @OlivierL good work on checking that out, unfortunately it does seem to still be around.
  5. Well done on the title win @HanziZoloman, honestly a truly monumental effort you are putting into your England save and probably one of the things scaring me off continuing in England.
  6. I’m actually shocked at this list of injuries……but only because there is a hamstring injury. The amount of GK arm related injuries trying to catch the ball is just beyond ridiculous. I’m really surprised they didn’t find it during internal playtests
  7. I'll be happy to survive the first season as a starting point I take it this was in FM23 thread, might have to go and read up on your adventures
  8. I think I know why I fail to complete a challenge now......I seem to enjoy picking a team, creating kits, setting up spreadsheets, bingo cards etc. Lego decided they wanted a domestic team to sponsor who would help promote good values for children and who better than Bronshoj Boldklub who have made a pact to only play players that come through their youth academy. (Also the black white and yellow of the logo works really well with the home kit ) Now that this is out of the way its time to see how much of a season I can get through in a single sitting.
  9. Taken a look around and wanted to find a country: Not yet completed More than 2 divisions (but not 6 like England) Around 30 games a season A good youth rating from previous seasons This has led me to attempt Denmark and with a real lack of variety in the promoted teams I have opted for Bronshoj Boldklub: The Wasps are based on Copenhagen and have actually won the top flight twice, the last time in 1992 as well as being runner up in 1993 and 1995 so this is a team that were fairly successful 30 years ago, a little bit of a fallen "giant". Tingbjerg idrætspark is nothing special, unlike some of the stadiums that a few saves in the thread boast, but the key attraction here is the reduced number of games (22 in the normal league plus 10 for promotion/relegation phases) in comparison to England's 46 games for 5 leagues and 38 in the top flight and it hasn't been completed either. Based on them being an amateur club I checked the FM23 editor to see if they were set as always amateur (didn't think they would but wanted to be certain I wouldn't have a hard block on this save) and they are only set as amateur, still not an easy task. Really hope that I can find enough time to get through the shorter seasons so that I don't lose the motivation to continue. I will most likely tweak the bingo card I devised for England to suit the Danish league structure as well as see to a few changes I had thought of in the first place.
  10. I honestly don’t know how the guys who racked up 20 or 30+ seasons in England keep going. Struggling to get the time in on it and feeling the gap between intakes is just huge. Really unsure if I will ever get enough time to complete England
  11. I tend to favour smaller teams at first, sprinkle in a few for money but always end on smaller teams to keep morale high for the season start.
  12. That sucks @KingKCrush if I lose progress in a save by more than a month it’s usually curtains for that save. Appreciate the heads up as I only have England selected right now but if/when I get higher up I usually load in the other big 5 leagues, though I won’t fe there anytime soon and I’m sure they’ll prioritise a fix for this upon full release or shortly after.
  13. @Perre8 that’s a really good HoYD for season 1and a solid finish only 9 points off the promotion place.
  14. Anyone suggest a reason why Olivares YP25-A wouldn't get any impact from the group for mentoring? Is this a bug, new feature or something that has been around for a while that I just never noticed? I tried adding Olivares to a group of only secondary social group and he still had zero influence on the group or effect from the group
  15. Lewes FC Season 2 (25/26) Vanarama National South League Cups Youth Club Bingo
  16. I had this issue as well with the blank Youth Candidates tab in Dev Centre but in addition to this the news item for the intake shows 0 for every position in the intake distribution and also states that its a poor intake when I think most players would agree it looks like a very good intake.
  17. He’s a legend in previous versions of the game and it looks like he’s still producing the goods. Honestly find that if you have a talismanic striker at your youth academy challenge club for the first few years you are more than likely to at least survive until the intakes take shape. In my 2 previous successes with the challenge I had Rilind Nivokazi at Chiasso and I had Hugo Botermans at Katwijk and both were scoring a tonne. It just generally buys you enough time for some of the youths to step up.
  18. For those who are interested in the bingo card for an England YAC save here you go (this is the second version from my images posted earlier as I think its a little more balanced for the early stages of the save) YAC Bingo Template (England).ods
  19. Actually think I might rework the left hand column to achievable team related goals: Think there were too many centred on winning multiple trophies in one season. This way the first 6 rows in column 1 can actually be completed in Vanarama North/South
  20. So I've spent the last few hours working on a fun way to set some additional goals/objectives and how to track them (thanks to @OlivierL for the starter on this one). I've come up with a bingo card (this one is specifically tailored for the English League) where there are 100 objectives set so complete as many as possible to get a score out of 100: The idea was to get the difficulty increase from top left to bottom right (though I think the left most column probably breaks this logic!) and keeping related objectives close to one another. This looks like a lot but from the other challenge attempts in England I have seen I think most of these items get marked off anyway as the saves are usually absolutely epics. Given the likelihood of success in England is not that high this will at least give a score out of 100 for the attempt so the next attempt can look to better that (albeit the bar is set quite high with the first likely objective to be completed is promotion from the Vanarama North/South or winning it). I've created this if OpenOffice Calc if anyone wants it for their English save.
  21. Anyone know specifically what the news items are when you are told what teams are responsible for the most homegrown players in the national squad and also the most players in top league of the nation? Are these still in this version?
