  1. How do you guys play, do you watch every single game or do you sim through at a quicker pace and watch some, or just sim everything?
  2. As I said, take your attitude somewhere else. Everybody has the right to post here just as much as you do. If I want to run experiments and share it with people, who are you to tell me otherwise. I see you in many threads with the same attitude, like you're above everyone here. Feel free to quote me again but just know you will be wasting your time as I won't be replying further.
  3. I never once asked SI to use my test. I did the tests through my own curiosity to see what would actually happen and decided to share it with others, so take your attitude somewhere else.
  4. I already agreed that the original test was too influenced. The test that we are now talking about was compiled of player chosen totally at random, regardless of their physicals. I used the training function in game to increase their physicals. The players in question could have been considered unrealistic if they were actually improving as their PA was relatively high, but considering they barely improved at all and most only improved slightly in the first season, I'd argue that it's not unrealistic and that is why I would say that this can be done without the use of an editor.
  5. The test itself - unrealistic (through the use of an editor) The test itself - can also be replicated in a realistic manner Correct me if I'm wrong but you're saying no human would ever assemble a team of pacey players?
  6. The only thing it would prove is the doubters wrong, I have to decide whether I care enough to do that and I probably don't. Doubters will be doubters, they will be sceptical because it doesn't fit their narrative and they will be stubborn, so it's pretty much pointless. I never really looked into it much as my interest in the game faltered in recent years, whilst before that I just wanted to play, but I'm once again enjoying FM since FM24 was released and these things peak my interest more than before.
  7. Crewe United - Season One I couldn't have hoped for much more for season one, having very mixed results all round, but better than expected. Our performances in the cup competitions left much to be desired, but survival in the league was of utmost importance. As I was told by a fellow Crewe United manager (neo_geo) Jack Sharvin was going to be my survival tool and he definitely proved as much. Youth Candidates & Youth Intake As previously posted, our upcoming youth intake was being classed as a real golden age, something which was a big surprise for me and very good news for the challenge ahead. The idea for the coming season will be to take the plunge and remove most of the normal players, except the select few who performed well such as Jack Sharvin. This will allow the youth prospects to show me what they're made of and despite the obvious risks, I feel this is the whole point of a save like this. 3 Top Rated Youth Players & Transfers In + Out There's nothing special here, but with them being touted as having top potential, it will be good to see how they grow! League Table & Finances The finances are a concern and I can't see how they will get any better in the short term. The chairman is looking to sell which is a concern as well, especially considering one of the recent news articles where it was mentioned the person coming in would look to replace me! Thankfully that takeover went to sea and never came back! What they thought...
  8. Keep plugging away! At least in my eyes your not in a relegation fight because 9 points is a big difference at the bottom of the league.
  9. Promising news for my first ever intake! Lets hope it becomes a reality!
  10. If you use the editor in any way shape or form, they won't agree with you. I have half a mind to just assemble a squad in the proper way to prove a point.
  11. I agree with most of what you said, but I disagree that my test was in any way extreme. You can easily create the same scenario with young players who're more than interested in joining your club at Championship level in normal game play. Their stats were not changed in any way, shape or form other than their PA (which was very minimal) and that proved to be pointless as they never progressed in CA after the first season. None of them were selected based on attributes either, it was completely random.
  12. The guy has 116 CA and is one of the best players in the squad, please tell me how this is Championship standard, let alone Premier League. All he's got going for him is long shots and jumping reach with a 50 pence shaped head. [Edit] Here's the squad
  13. Ah fair one, I just picked the team off the first go, let fate decide who I manage Thanks for the tip!
  14. I think you will find that you could easily do this with any set of players, considering their CA hardly even increased. I initially did have unrealistic input, but I was asked to use real players, so I did and came out with the same results more or less... I hardly think it's a wild experiment when you're getting 14th place in the Premier League with a team that shouldn't be even challenging in the Championship.
  15. I didn't even realise you were managing Crewe United and I literally just set myself up at the same team haha! Good luck with that next batch of youths, hopefully one will get onto the International stage!
  16. My journey begins at a little town called Glenavy in Northern Ireland and is just 11 miles west of Belfast. The aim as you will already know is to put Glenavy on the global map and achieve European stardom! Facilities Crewe United boasts a 1,500 (500 seats) capacity stadium called Crewe Park and is owned by the local council. Corporate Facilities - Basic Training Facilities - Poor Youth Facilities - Poor Junior Coaching - Average Youth Recruitment - Limited Finances The club has £26,250 to it's name and has a £746 wage budget, whilst currently only spending just £45 per week. Meet the squad - Click the spoiler! We seem to have a really good bunch of players, with some experience and plenty of youth prospects! Let the games begin!!!
  17. It's been a long time since I did one of these saves, but looking at some of the saves you guys are having is giving me that itch that needs scratching I'm thinking either Northern Ireland or Wales... Which one would you do?
  18. Explain this then... Real players, zero training and no human tactics, 100% holiday mode.
  19. What are your facilities like? Are they maxed out? Also what is your clubs standing in world football? I dont think having the most players trained will have any bearing whatsoever, considering those clubs who have less could be producing better players. I'm not entirely sure what the parameters are, it would be interesting to have an answer from someone who actually knows.
  20. I have now set up the second experiment. I will go into more detail later this evening and post up my first set of findings, but this will be run with 2 teams. Team 1 will be Wealdstone again, same setup except for training. They will now use my Physical Beast training program. Team 2 will be Harrogate Town in League 2. I have selected players purely based on Pace with a slightly wider perimeter with CA and PA. Essentially this team looks worse on a CA standpoint that Wealdstone. They will be taking over the No Training program. One other little change is I've given both teams tactics to use and set pieces. If you guys would rather, I can revert this back.
  21. Could you upload the editor data file here? I would love to run this experiment if you decide not to.
  22. Season Five Conclusion Now I feel justified in saying, that is the nail in the coffin! You can't tell me that this team deserves to be anywhere near this league, especially considering what I've mentioned about stat losses in areas that should be way more important than they appear to be! I was told that I was influencing the experiment too much, so I listened and I changed it based on that feedback. There has been very little influence on my part, if any at all. I changed the PA of players below 150 to exactly 150 and considering these players haven't reached anywhere near these numbers, I'd say I influenced nothing. If you boost their physicals, they will become better players regardless of what happens elsewhere. My aims were... To shed light on the apparent usefulness of Zero Training. I feel I achieved this as the team performed spectacularly. To show the physicals do matter above all else. They really do! To see how far we can go with what is considered to be a really poor squad. We went beyond what I expected, considering the players we selected. The question is now, should we do a season six? Also if there is anything you'd like to look at, just let me know.
  23. Season Four Conclusion Now this is where things got really interesting in my eyes! We go back to last season and the team struggled early on before picking it up and struggling their way to a play-off spot, eventually winning promotion. We move to season 4 and they some how now become a powerhouse within a higher division! Popovic smashed the first two seasons, but struggled a little bit last season. Now he's back on form and still only 116 CA, which he has been since season the conclusion of season 1! However, as we've seen his physicals have been greatly improving, whilst his more important striking stats have been heavily declining. The only thing that he's improving in that could possibly help as a striker is his Long Shots. That stat particularly baffles me a bit... Why with no training at all is that stat rising rapidly? The question now is, what can this team who on paper look dreadful, do in the best league in the world?
  24. Here is an example of a player who barely plays any matches and hasn't changed in CA at all throughout the experiment so far...
