  1. Release Date: Wednesday June 12th (Tomorrow UK Time) Just a little update, working extremely hard for the release. I'll be working on it most of tomorrow, but you can probably expect it to release in the evening UK time. Extremely excited to share this database with you all!!!
  2. What do you propose they do in the mean time?
  3. Just a normal day at the office for Manchester United in real life...
  4. Let us know how you get on! Don't forget you can visit the Editors part of the forum, much of what you might think of doing has already been done most likely.
  5. You can literally relegate all these sides to the conference leagues and they will all make it back to the premier league in no time.
  6. Most likely the deciding factor in the low budget because they already overspent previous seasons.
  7. I have to say I don't agree with what you think is realistic, because in the real world it's not realistic. Very few clubs in todays world have good moral owners who will have the same vision as you. A rapid rise is also very unrealistic, or at the least, extremely rare. Even those who do rise rapidly never go on to be world beaters and they definitely don't expand their infrastructure to big degrees. The game itself allows you to build a stadium, but as in real life stadium moves are rare in clubs as it would take years and years of success to convince the club that it needs investment to grow. Short term success (and yes I feel 10 years is still short term) following on from building and expanding a stadium, is and should be viewed as an unrealistic factor in the decision over building yet another new stadium. You'd be hard pushed to find a club who builds a stadium and then 10 years later builds another one regardless of success.
  8. I have to laugh at this statement... "In the real world Man Utd operate a sustainable model." It's definitely far from that reality, that's why the stadium is falling to bits literally and the reason why the Glazers needed investment, because it wasn't sustainable. Only time will tell if the investment will make a difference or not.
  9. My problem is that overtime is compulsory, not optional... I never know what time I'll be getting home from day to day, so I can easily lose 1, 2 or even 3 hours of editing time sometimes
  10. Estimated Release Date: Wednesday June 12th Unfortunately I've had to amend the release date, pushing it from Sunday onto next Wednesday. I feel this is the best option so that people can enjoy the database to its best quality. I'll probably still be working on it during Wednesday, but with the hope of release later in the evening UK time. If only I wasn't working a full time job!
  11. Definitely something for a later update. but some very good ideas. I'm very familiar with many of these functions , but I'm pretty sure it would be hard to balance some of them correctly. I think the first one I would look at is your first suggestion - editing nations like England so 'likely-hood of foreign manager' is basically zero, as well as FA Financial Power, and Economic Factors - you could maybe look up national GDP for nations back then compared to now to weigh things like that up
  12. That's a really great suggestion! I have to admit it wasn't something which I thought of, so it's very much appreciated. If you have any further suggestions about anything, please throw them my way!
  13. What I meant was, it's 12 teams as it is in the current day. Once I have released the database, I will work on the League systems for England, Scotland, Italy and Spain. So in short yes, I will make Scotland's first division have 18 teams as it was in 1966. As for release, it will be exactly as TheMadScientist had it in FM19...
  14. I haven't gone as far as adding Injuries into the database, but that's definitely a nice idea for an update, unless I have any spare time before release. I think Polio was a little bit earlier than 1960's, but I could definitely add it in with a low occurrence rate From minimal research I've found that there was an epidemic of Influenza in the USSR in 1966. The NASL sounds like a cool idea, maybe you could use this database somehow?
  15. Once I've released the database, my full focus will be on the league systems for the current playable leagues. If you want to create anything for Japan, I'd be happy to merge the data.
  16. Scotland's first division is playable, however it is currently only 12 teams as it normally is. Once I have released the database I will be working on the league systems, so that will be an update for a later time. There's no point to changing the league systems now because it would render to competition unplayable due to lack of players.
  17. A revised update on what to expect upon release... Season 66-67 - All the content that was previously released for FM19 by TheMadScientist. I'm currently working on the final part, which is to add player history to each and every player in the database (or at least most of them). There are almost 3,000 players in the database (without checking the actual number), so you can imagine how much work that is! Competition History - I've also removed all history, all the way back to 1966 for all major competitions. For any that I've missed, I will be updating the database at a later date to hopefully include those and more. Regens - I will be providing you with 3 seasons worth of regens, which will be approximately 600 players. This will be updated in the future. Facepack - I will also be providing a facepack, which will have the top 100 players in the database. This will also be updated in the future to have more. Injuries - I have decided to put some work into editing the injuries that players receive throughout a season. As we all know, injuries back in the day were ignored more by the players themselves, rather taking to the pitch with a broken fingernail, than having 2 weeks on the side-lines... So with that in mind, I have tried to make injuries more realistic in line with the 66-67 theme! Not only have the percentage chance of receiving a specific injury been altered, but also the time it would take for them to recover. There is no specific percentage I have reduced injuries by, I have gone through each injury type and adjusted them individually. Example of injury adjustment before and after... A stubbed toe Occurrence Ratio: 1.000000 Minimum Days - 5 Extra Days - 5 After... A stubbed toe Occurrence Ratio: 0.200000 Minimum Days - 3 Extra Days - 3 With a stubbed toe, I'd expect a player from 1966 would rather get on with things, compared to players nowadays who have 5 weeks off injured due to a hair follicle being out of place. However, an injury like Flu, has had it's Occurrence Ratio increased slightly and its days remaining the same. I might be totally wrong here, but I feel that people were maybe less equipped against Flu back in 1966 than they are nowadays.
  18. I don't know how I dared, but I literally told her how it's going to be. She took it well to be fair to her!
  19. A little update on things and what to expect upon release... Things haven't progressed as well as expected this week, but I'm still hugely confident of release on the 9th. I've spoken to the boss (my wife) and explained she might not see much of me next week as I look to push hard for the deadline! As for what you can expect upon release as far as content... Season 66-67 - All the content that was previously released for FM19 by TheMadScientist. I'm currently working on the final part, which is to add player history to each and every player in the database (or at least most of them). There are almost 3,000 players in the database (without checking the actual number), so you can imagine how much work that is! 20. Definitely haha! I'll only be working on the divisions that are actually playable, anything below would be almost pointless. I've already had a play around with divisions, so I have some sort of idea what I'd need to do. As I say though, I'd also need to make the teams playable as well which can take some time.
  21. On initial release there won't be any rework of the leagues themselves, but I do have plans to do it. The problem with reworking the leagues is that I will need to make them playable as well, you don't want teams in a league that have almost no players. The Scottish leagues will probably take the most work, from the top of my head I think there were 20 teams, while currently there's only 12 in first division. England will probably be the first release as it wouldn't take too much work.
  22. A few screenshots from the database in it's current state... If anyone has any requests of something they'd like to see, let me know

Thanks to him I've been able to revive and improve on what he made and I'm merely weeks away!
  24. Only way I can think would be to create the club names in the same order as the other database with the created clubs. This should hopefully set the UID to the same. Then you could add the players in and it would be compatible. I'm not 100% certain the UID would be the same though, just a guess.
