  1. Just upgraded to MacOS Ventura. Launching the pre-game editor from Steam brings up the follow error message: Reinstalling does not work, clearing the cache does not work, verifying local files does not work. Worked fine on the latest version of MacOS Monterey. M1 MacBook Pro, 16", M1 Max with 32GB of RAM. Obviously we don't have access to the Pre-Game editor yet for FM23 but it needs testing on Ventura to ensure it's not affected in the same way.
  2. As per the title, the FM22 and FM23 pre-game editor does not appear to work on MacOS Ventura. You will receive an error message like below: It is an Apple issue rather than an SI issue, it is being worked on for a future update. To get around this in the meantime: Open Editor -> acknowledge failed opening -> validate local files -> Open MacOS Settings -> Privacy and Security -> Under security is an error blocking the editor from running, click "Open Anyway" -> Authenticate -> click Open.
  3. Managed to reproduce this as well. M1 MacBook Pro. Can you please create a thread in here: https://community.sigames.com/bugtracker/football-manager-2023-early-access-beta-bugs-tracker/752_crash-technical-issues-and-game-performance-support-portal/ I know it's the FM22 one but it may affect the upcoming FM23 editor so would be good to get SI to have a look at your specific setup.
  4. Yes because transfers and staff leaving may lead to teams behaving far differently in-game to what they were initially, therefore the impact of those moves needs testing. Also need to test that the game is extracting the data correctly and that the updated data is correct.
  5. And people wonder why SI staff don't post on here as much as they used to... Person does his job in providing an explanation as to why something happened, gets abused for it.
  6. There is a big difference between pushing a tiny database update and fixing a larger bug.
  7. Is Saka that strong? Or does he use his balance, agility and anticipation in combination with what strength he has to retain the ball under physical pressure and position his body in the best way to protect it which leads to him being able to fend off an opponent? Not always as simple as just "increase his strength!".
  8. I agree it could be more visible but the info is there. I'll ask if this can be made more prominent.
  9. They did, there's a known issue list in each section of the bug tracker. In this case:
  10. SI have both internal and external test teams that will have been looking at this before, during and after beta. I don't disagree that it's a big issue but that means that more time and care is needed to fix it. It won't be a 5 minute job. They'll have to work on the problem, test it, do some more work, test it again and when they're happy with it release the fix.
  11. People seem to be forgetting this is a beta period, not an early release. The whole point of a beta is to find issues ahead of release and report them so that SI can get to work fixing them either for release, for patches later down the line or potentially even future versions of FM. It's not an opportunity to play a finished game a couple of weeks early. If you're finding issues particularly during this beta and are not reporting them, you can't complain that things are broken later on, much less accuse SI of unethical behaviour.
  12. The game has not kept up with modern practices in this area, the arbitrary limits are far too low compared to how teams staff those departments IRL, especially at a club the size of Utd.
  13. Looks like I can't escape the crash after all. Got all the way through setting up a new game, past the introduction, went to save for the first time and the game just closed, exactly as it was doing before. No crash dump is generated.
  14. Windows 11, Steam, game has worked previously with no issues. Open the game with Steam, it starts as normal going through the splash screens. Gets to the 2nd license screen (the one with the text after the logos) before just closing. No crash dump is generated, no abnormal system behaviour. Clearing the cache has fixed it but clearly, it shouldn't be crashing to begin with. Uploaded my DXDiag for analysis.
  15. Can be found here: https://community.sigames.com/bugtracker/football-manager-2023-early-access-beta-bugs-tracker/database-and-research/ The database in beta won't be fully up to date so there will be things missing that have already been updated.
  16. I'd check with the retailer that beta access was included, it hasn't been with some in previous years. I've not heard of Fanatical so not sure what the situation is with them, I only use Steam.
  17. Steam servers are getting battered due to the Call of Duty campaign pre-order release
