He's been suspended until there's a definitive ruling handed out by the anti-doping body. As he's unable to play during this time he has not been included in the game.

In part it will depend on the rest of your tactic but looking at the isolated instructions here, I would drop him to a support duty, add "cross from deep" rather than byline because to get to the byline he would have to rely on his right foot which is not his strong point. Take off "shoot more often" too, he's quite wasteful when it comes to shooting even if he does score the occasional screamer. Ideally you want him to receive the ball and get a quick cross in for your forward/s on his left foot or to play the ball into the channel for an under/overlapping full-back or attacking midfielder. If you have a player who is supporting around him it might even be worth training him to play 1-2s as a PPM to try and open up some more space for him. If you wanted to keep him on an attack duty, change him to an inverted winger and remove the "shoot more often". Much like real-life though, he's a tough one to get a consistent level of performance out of and will vary between having great games and anonymous games.

This isn't helpful. What reasons should they have different CAs rather than just throwing out arbitrary numbers? What stats should be upgraded/downgraded and why? Martinez was consistently one of the best CBs in the league until his injury in a team that finished 3rd and won a trophy. Romero was in a Tottenham team that finished 8th and from what I saw had a pretty mixed time of it throughout, at times looking solid and others all over the place, much like the rest of the Spurs defence throughout the season. They're also very different types of defenders and different stats eat up different amounts of CA points. How does Romeo actually perform in your game?

Think I mis-interpreted that part of your post, I thought the issue was about him playing on the right rather than on left because he's left footed so sorry for that. It might be that the loan was requirements as a winger were to develop elements of his game opposed to an inverted winger - going on the outside rather than cutting in, more use of his right foot, crossing from the byline rather than from a deeper position etc.

I'm guessing you've not seen either of the Utd players play much? Amad Diallo plays off of the right in most games as an inverted winger, it's his best position. Hannibal has a lot of attributes that make him an effective ball-winner - his work rate and fitness are excellent, he's aggressive in the press, a tenacious albeit sometimes careless tackler and can drive up the pitch after winning the ball. He's a decent playmaker as well but he's added a lot to the defensive side of his game over the last year.

With so many PL clubs having more than assistant, I think there's a good argument to say that the limit of 1 assistant is no longer appropriate and needs to be upped @Pete Sottrel

Problem is you lose his wide attacking play in the final third. Could play Martinez out of there though, would work well if you brought in another ball-playing CB and had Varane - CB - Martinez. Either that or use Lindelof and have Lindelof - Varane - Martinez.

There's still the Inverted Wingback role which I think is more akin to the extra midfielder from fullback if it functions the same way as last year.

The problem is a lot of the stuff we've had to remove has been personal and it's been on multiple occasions after we've asked it to stop.

In all seriousness it's genuinely something people need to consider. The last few days in particular have taken up a lot of time and people keep ignoring requests to keep things civil. It's supposed to be a bit of light-hearted fun ahead of the beta release, instead it's turned into a thread needing near-24/7 supervision with multiple thread bans, forum bans, abuse of SI staff and post moderation. The last lot of posts were removed because someone decided to continue making personal digs despite a request not to shortly before (some of the removed posts are just ones where the offending post was quoted). Unfortunately the few are doing a good job of ruining it for the many and if we feel it's taken up too much time this year then next year there won't be a thread.

We had the discussion earlier regarding content creators and it's moved on. Not everyone is going to like what they put out or how they come across online because people have different tastes and that's okay. What's not okay are the continued personal jabs at people and if it carries on we'll just be slinging you out of the thread, it's taking up far too much of the mod team's time at the moment.
