  1. When you start a new game you need to make sure you have the option to use editor files enabled. This will then give you a slightly different experience when starting a new save.
  2. FM has always catered for a large range of specs. It’s one of the reasons that the move to 64 bit took so long relative to everything else. Every time they raise the minimum specs they’ll know how much of their user base they’re likely to be cutting out. It’s a balancing act between attracting new customers and keeping the old. I don’t know how many people upgrade their kit specifically to keep up with FM, I know a few people who basically only play FM, and for them, having to buy a new laptop just to play FM would not be something they would do.
  3. Well obviously personally I can’t understand why anyone would want to play for Spurs… But, there may be a few reasons that could be happening: Player has a preference to play in England/Premier League Club are in his favourite clubs Clubs manager is in his favourite staff Players at club are in favourite staff If club have actively shown interest in him that will increase his interest in them (this is a whole separate issue that needs addressing) I also think, and I’m not 100% on this, but low a low adaptability attribute will make players less likely to move abroad. On top of that, English clubs tend to have a lot more money to throw at wages, might not be true in comparison to Real, but would be true in general.
  4. It shouldn’t. The two are made by different teams, so the match engine shouldn’t see any level of regression. Shouldn’t and won’t are obviously not the same though of course.
  5. Oh then yeah. That’s bizarre. Agree. Feels like an oversight then.
  6. I think that’s more down to how City’s board are set up than Guardiola’s attributes. In my save Liverpool have only just (it’s 2029) sacked Klopp after several seasons of missing out on Champions League football. It’s not like he was winning cups either.
  7. In theory the game already does this for you. At least when you move from team to team. When you get the offer, they new club will approach you and ask you which members of staff you want to bring with you, and which of the new clubs current staff you wish to retain. There will be a budget that you have to stick to, so having all your current staff on long contracts when you’re thinking about moving on would bump up the compensation costs.
  8. So interestingly, last night I was playing and bid for a 19yo CB playing in Brazil, and in the bottom left hand corner there was a little note that said the philosophy this signing matched was: “Develop players using the clubs youth system”. Which to me feels like the opposite.
  9. Some countries use accumulative time, some use continuous. So that explains the Spain thing. I would also imagine there’s special rules for certain countries with Andorran citizenship.
  10. My assumption is it’s down to the detail level of the games, I’m managing England and can still call up players who have caps for Nigeria (10) and Trinidad and Tobago (14), but I can’t view the matches where they’ve played so wondering if the game doesn’t count them? I’m also getting news articles saying there’s set to be a battle for their allegiance, and I have the option to add them to squads.
  11. It is exactly this. I suspect the language is set to English (US) rather than English. Or it’s Google Translate.
  12. There’s a few gaps in your numbers from analysis point of view. How many shots are you facing in a game? How many shots on target? What minute in the game are you conceding these shots/goals? Nome of this is to say that you’re wrong by the way. I do on occasion notice similar patterns, but like mentioned above I’m currently the dominant team in most games. Conversely, I do have occasions where it goes the other way - in my UEFA super cup final I scored from both of my first 2 shots on target (ended up winning 4-0 from 6 shots on target) and those goals game in the 44th and 56th minutes.
  13. I always have the TV on in the background, if a match is on, great, otherwise the missus can watch whatever tosh she likes and I can focus on the in game world. Although, playing the same match in FM that’s on on the telly can really hurt your brain.
  14. I have been noticing this too lately, but in my case it feels situational. Like there are similar patterns of play that result in the striker hitting the post. I do recall a bug a few years back where if a striker received a through ball in a certain way, the keeper would always save it. Although that could be confirmation bias talking.
  15. Players in Range, should be all players in your scouting package Scouted players, should be players that you have at least one scout report for Be sure to make sure you clear any filters that you may have added, and check which interested boxes you have activated and to what level.
  16. Probably one for the feature request forum so it will get reviewed by SI. https://community.sigames.com/forums/forum/353-football-manager-feature-requests-pcmac/
  17. I managed to get Mbappe on loan from Monaco at AFC Bournemouth in the year he made it big. He had no intention of making the move permanent, but what a season it was.
  18. Since the new work permit rules came in following brexit, there’s not really any kind of affiliate that can help with gaining work permits. The main thing that is going to help is international appearances, and beyond that it’s playing in a league of significant stature - the clubs of which generally aren’t going to agree to be affiliates. So if they’re not going to get a work permit, you’re better off looking elsewhere.
  19. That doesn’t seem unreasonable who is the host?
  20. What highlight speed have you got on?
  21. Sounds like you’re in an FC Vaduz situation. It’s almost certainly to do with the edits, although without knowing what you changed so far, it’s difficult to say. When you moved them to the English leagues did you also changed their “based nation” to England too? Beyond that, the editors hideaway is probably your best bet.
