  1. Any interest in adding the Skipton Cup https://guernseyfc.com/news/skipton-cup-returns-in-july Looks like an annual curtain raiser between Guernsey FC and FC Isle of Man every July now. I could also throw it together as a continental file that would show under England
  2. The countries I was previously using (SEA Chinese, West Malay, and Singh Indian) seem stuck with certain namelists that affect newgens and greyed out players, which we can't touch. This isn't promising for a 16-team Island Games with the likes of Greenland and Saint Helena - although we can make something smaller, using Bermuda and maybe @Rainbowz's Isle of Man. I think Froya, Hitra, and Saarema's national teams mostly come from clubs already in the game so we can probably work with them too.
  3. Fixed the naming issue: Changelog: Download link updated, and make sure to get the flags again too (you can delete your old Muratti graphics). Now adding competition history and testing make sure UEFA treats them the same way.
  4. Any idea what "special season tickets" do? Is this like the old "hardcore fans percentage" i.e. the hardcores behind the goal? Or like a reduced one? Can test it later
  5. Weird, in the English editor it shows up as "importing invalid time". According to google, the only times that phrase has been uttered in the history of man was here, @ZahnZee, did you ever figure out the issue?
  6. Brilliant. You might be able to dodge that by checking/unchecking that box for "competitions to take into account when scheduling" (not the exact wording) where the choices are like none, domestic only, etc. But then it would just postpone the fixtures for the two teams involved in the cup final (assuming the cup round has a higher fixture priority than the league). Not sure if that works though
  7. You can set a "break period" in the stage scheduling. If you set one for the base year equivalent of Aug. 14-19 from your screenshot (or Aug. 15-19 if you have that first weekend of fixtures played over two days) it would stop the game scheduling any dates there. Only way I've been able to get the game to stop randomly moving dates around to fill early-season gaps (speculating but it might have to do with the game "knowing" that there are cups and such in the future and it's trying to schedule around those)
  8. Right. It's already included in the game in FM23. You don't need to create it
  9. This is in the default game, isn't it? Can't remember the name, it's the Finalissima in real life
  10. What about the tiebreaker "don't sort teams", is that active too? I don't think you need to set up the playoffs, just have enough time at the end of the season for it to squeeze in an extra game, it might do it by itself on neutral ground if everything's set up right. Or could be bugged. Post your file if you can, someone can take a look
  11. One of the only things stopping me from doing a unified Ireland DB here (like FM22) is the amount of time it takes to go in and manually change guys with Norn Irish "days trained in nation" so they'll count as properly homegrown in the new unified Ireland. Is there a way to mass edit this? Even when selecting more than one guy from the same club, the options don't appear, although they might if each guy had the exact same number of days. Any way to go in and change this en masse? I imagine for guys with two entries - one for Ireland and one for N. Ireland - if we change the second one to Ireland, will it add those two numbers together in-game? Or do I need to get out the calculator and remove the latter entry? Alternately, I can't think of a way to make the game recognize "days in Northern Ireland" as properly homegrown, even if we kept Northern Ireland around as a sort of ghost nation providing a second nationality. I'm not sure if Derry City have this problem already if they qualify for CL (likely not an issue as most of their squad will have "days trained in" the Republic anyway)
  12. They do have entries in the "records" for some of the other Home Nations (England/Wales/Scotland biggest win, highest scoring game etc) so you can change those to "Northern Ireland". Same FA, same team really (pretty sure they kept calling up all-Island players for a while after the FIFA-mandated name change) I haven't seen them in any tournament history though (Home Championship is blank IIRC)
  13. Some Sammarinese teams seem to always generate a U19 team, even if there's no division or U19 team set. I expect its hard-coded like you say, might have to do with the researchers accidentally adding a U19 team at one point in the past. Remember in older versions it seemed to cause all kinds of chaos if you would make, like, a U19 team and then try to delete it? Like the unique ID still showed up in certain searches? Wonder if they did that with the big MS Access database for these teams at one point
  14. Teams can play their groupmates in a semfinal in that situation though. I mean you can tick that box and it will keep them apart if it can, but it's not as realistic, as the actual Euro draw involves teams potentially playing a groupmate in the semifinal (your method will mean it depends who wins a certain quarterfinal in some circumstances, either the groupmate or someone else, so it's not even consistent with the imagined unseen fixed draw you're going with). Not sure if that makes sense
  15. Some teams seem to always have a U19 section, even if you take those steps. I wonder if the game has to have a certain amount in each country to make tournaments like the "Italian Youth Invitational" run smoothly so it just automatically assigns U19 teams, even if there's no actual division (and if you've checked all those boxes like "never used")
  16. I'm not familiar with a way of doing that. You mean like how the Euros has a fixed draw like "Winner Group B vs. Third place Group C, D, or E" type thing? With a few more of the fixed draws also dependent on which groups produce the best third place teams? If there was a way to do that in the editor I'd be impressed. I just end up trying to use "avoid team from same group" and do a seeded group draw
  17. Added some fixes to the stage names file with some obvious mistakes like Jandro Arellana (and others) declaring for Andorra in some people's saves (in the default game with no edited databases selected - I've reported the bug) Just recently @6499red in the San Marino challenge thread by @ChiccO (cheers to @kandersson for getting the challenge rolling all those FMs ago) pointed out the same glitch ("date when moved to based nation" not being changed from their last club) affecting non-local players based at Sammarinese clubs in the Italian system, which I fixed in that file, just didn't click until now that this must be an issue with the non-local players on most "foreign"-based clubs like that (FC Vaduz? Derry City? I'll keep checking)
  18. Players have an entry under their contract, "based nation". Those at at foreign-based clubs like Victor San Marino and FC Andorra show the "based nation" as the larger country (Italy and Spain in this example). BUT, the other line under contract, "date when moved to based nation", actually reflects the smaller country. If it's set to, like, July 2000, non-local players (non-Andorran or non-Sammarinese here) take the local nationality (Andorra or Sammarinese) right away, because the game thinks they've been there 20 years (despite the editor screen with no changes making you think that line actually correponds to the larger country). As such this is only an issue with those players who didn't get a new "date when moved to based nation" when the research team put them on Victor SM or FC Andorra (and similiar clubs) - can hardly blame them, as the same screen was telling them "based nation" was unchanged.
  19. Does the local region have a language? And the country itself? That might only affect last names mind you
  20. Trying to get a working version of that PSG vs. Al-Nassr/Al-Hilal All-Stars that was played today but the All-Star Game is still a bit of a mystery in the editor, even if you seemingly set everything correctly. If anyone has figured out how to get the team to do call-ups properly let me know...
  21. Have you changed the Canary Islands' "region" to the same one as Spain? And make sure to set the "language" of each city, the local region Canarias, and the country of Canary Islands to Spanish
  22. Supposedly someone had it working in 2018 Trying to figure it out
  23. Cheers, I've been wondering how to make, like, the COSAFA Cup have only southern African refs. Do you know if "preferred officials" in the competition does anything?
  24. As far as I remember the Hogges will only let you sign dual nationals, for the last few versions at least, which it sounds like you want. When we discovered the Hogges trick someone on Reddit tested it out. You might be OK with newgen names (without adding extra people) if you just make sure the local region has the correct language set (i.e. Italian and the newgens might have Italian-sounding names). That might just be surnames though. Can also try changing the city's language.
