I have been able to load some of the FM20 files into FM22 and 'upgrade' them like that. But you are right, there is a chance that upgrading them would prove to be too much work (or impossible) and that has been part of the thoughtprocess. The biggest challenge will likely be cleaning up the transfer file, but that's datawork. Fixing competitions would be more of a headache.

I am quietly contemplating moving the project from FM22 to FM24. That all depends on the quality of the FM24 editor of course, and would also mean a lot of cleanup in files. For now it is a thought, not (yet) a decision.

You can always use another database. That's up to you of course. In this case, write down the errors, check the mentioned leagues in the editor and change the competition for a few teams. That should solve your issue.

The easiest way is to have European tournaments that have been made in the editor. That breaks the dynamic coefficients. Just make sure to check with the editors if that really happens as some have managed to work out the continental cups where the dynamic coefficients stay active.

Only changed data can be exported to XML, but that is then in a very specific format that is in use for FM and not something that is easily formatted into something else.

Exporting data to Excel isn't possible.

FC Andorra will create a large amount of Andorran newgens (I checked and tested). FC Lusitans does the same, but for Portuguese.

Question is whether the clubs are set to produce them hardcoded, or that the nation's newgen setup causes them to be created. At least 3/4th of FC Romania youth intake is a Romanian newgen which can't be caused by nation newgen setups.

Weird, I played for 3 seasons to check out how the start of the season fix worked and outside some of the moved games and the occassional start of season everything worked as planned. Maybe I need to check without holidaying, in case that's the issue. I'll put it on the list to check as well.

Spain Updated.fmf Here is the current file. I think I managed to improve the first week. Games moved to Wednesday and Saturday are not yet OK, but I haven't been able to work out a solution for it. The last weekend issue has been fixed. So, it's not entirely there yet, but the basic setup is good to continue building on. I will probably return to this tomorrow, but right I need to think if I can find anything that would fix those issues.

I am running a second season to see that things keep going the way I want. Things to fix right, some fixtures in the first week stay on Sunday 15:00, sometimes games are moved to Wednesday, need to make sure they get varied times as well, and the last weekend is played on the same time. The first one should fixed quickly, the second one could be tough, the third one is a setting that I have already changed. If the second season test is OK, the last game setting is going into test, together with a fix for the first issue. I think I know how to fix the second issue as well.

I forgot to upload the screenshot rightaway. But it should show you January 10th with games divided over the day from 9:30 until 23:00. I am running a whole season to see what happens and I need to fix the first round a little bit, but if the rest of the season doesn't throw up any strange things, you should have a file later this evening.

What you are looking for is something like this, right? I think I have found the fix, but want to test a bit to make sure I don't make you happy with a dead sparrow (translate to your own language to understand )

To echo what PostMovieCam says, the CONCACAF competitions are very fickle animals. Added to that, it has a change in competition format in 2024 with an extra Canadian team coming up, which caused me headaches when editing it (I deleted the Canadian championship completely and created it from scratch). There might be more competition format changes, but I am mostly editing in FM22 still, so any FM23 stuff is not that clear on my radar.

In the meantime I am slowly gathering data input for the instances where I want to expand the lower leagues. @XaW @MichielVM and @animal31 have given me the OK to use teams from their Norwegian, Belgian and Canadian files when needed.
