    We beat USA tonight, then we just let Wales beat us to qualify. It's only fair right, Wales always been big supporters of England in international football. Still might not work with Iran actually capable of winning a game, but thems the breaks.

    I'm guessing there's a logic behind it, like something like there counting time take freekicks/goalkicks when they're on the spot but not out of play for example (i.e. something that can make it 9 minutes but not 30 minutes).

    They're definitely doing it on purpose, and it's obviously a good thing. I doubt it carries to domestic football sadly.

    You could name about a dozen players more worthy of starting than Sterling based on current form. Sterling is in there on past merits and his bouncebackability. I've no issue with that personally, but let's not go overboard with naming random players as deserving of a start now

    Back injury/pains iirc. He was awful though, especially compared to the goalkeeper before (an ancient Schmeichel) and after (David James). Genuinely could have gone down with him in net, he was Bravo levels of bad. Edit: was actually a shouder injury not back

    The most iconic thing about the Beckham goal for me was the that Greece goalkeeper was a George Clooney lookalike iirc (that's what we all decided at the time anyway)

    Hurst then Beckham, the rest are not iconic in any way imo. I have fond memories of Platt's but I doubt the newer generation even know of the goal.

    I think it's a bad idea to rush him back into the team, but if you can get Kyle Walker fit for France in the QF it's worth the squad slot imo. No idea why we're taking Madison, the guy aint gonna play. Bring another right back

    Both the "opinion of" and "show best role in position" drop options in the filter submenu of the squad planner page keep resetting to the default whenever you leave the screen. Additionally, you can't get the opinion of the dof which feels a strange omission given his role at the club (and the fact he can give player reports)
