Also, all the rest of the game functions are quite similar to the full version but there's a big difference in a number of newgens coming from the YA each year. In the FM Touch version you get up to max 5 players every year, therefore, the challenge is harder. Especially if the Board frequently sell your youth players before you promote them to the first team - this is the case in my save with Havelse I would say this challenge is doable also on the Touch version but it's immensely harder due to the lack of newgens coming to the team. Good to know, thanks. Will play around with the game for a bit today & see where I get to.
shaunvamos
FC Dnepr Mogilev - 2034 Season Review | Competitions | Squad | Awards | Overall Best Eleven | Transfers | | Sergey Bulay 8B | Kenny Sinclair 11A* | Alexandr Savitskiy 4D* | We go one better, but again we have to rely on the teams above us to win the cup to guarantee us a place in European competition. They failed to do that last season, so my hopes aren't high. But slowly, we are getting there. Also, special mention to Alexandr Tsurpanov 14A, who broke into the first team less than a year after he was signed, and played in 26 of our 30 league games. He more than likely got a shot early because our CBs are horrible, but he really does seem special. All we need is another like him and we will be set at the back. Youth Intake | Viktor Kostyukevich 15A | Nikita Sashcheko 15B* | Dmitriy Pavlov 15C | We get two good players, and I think that'll be the case for the foreseeable future. The age of several good players has passed us. I posted the exact same summary last post, and I think the same holds true here. Progress
DazRTaylor
End of Season Review Season 2021/22 FC United of Manchester League Table - We got off to a dreadful start and whilst we did recover somewhat, we were never in a position to challenge for a playoff place. League Fixtures 1, 2 & 3 - Some good form, though the start was appalling. F. A. Cup - A great cup run that ended in heartbreak, losing after extra time, in a replay, to Doncaster Rovers of League Two, who came back from 2-0 in the first leg and equalised in injury time in the replay. F. A. Trophy - Another terrific run, we made it all the way to the semi finals, before narrowly losing to Aldershot Town, 3-2 on aggregate. It was especially pleasing to compete so well considering Aldershot are playoff contenders in the league above. Pre Season Friendlies - Not too bad at all. Squad - It is getting better. I need some of the youngsters to develop otherwise we may be stuck in this league for a while. Squad Dynamics - Very good, as you would expect. Transfers In - None. Transfers Out - None. Youth Candidates - A genuine "Golden Generation" this year, with Kieron Boyd YP22B18 being the best of the group, though Thomas Pieroni YP21A17 & Aled Vaughan Gabriel YP22K27 also look fine prospects. Finances - Good cup runs boosted the banl balance which enabled the board to accept my request to improve the youth facilities. Hence the figure is lower than last year. Key Players Tunde Owolabi - Another fine season from our striker. Not quite as prolific as last season, but 28 goals in his 54 appearances is still an excellent return. Nick Ryder YP21D4 - The youth academy prospect has made the right back spot his own. Jack Lenehan - An anchor in the centre of midfield. One of the first names on the team sheet. Curtis Jones - A rock at the back who also chips in with vital goals from set pieces. Luke Griffiths - Playing at the heart of midfield, the 23 year old has proved to be irreplaceable. Next Season We need to get back into playoff contention. shaunvamos
Okay so I'm a little annoyed with what's happening on my save right now. As the 4th placed team last year, I was entitled to a Europa Conference League spot if the cup winners finished above me in the league, as they all qualified for Europe. 1st placed Dinamo Minsk beat 2nd placed BATE in the final, which would mean that I would qualify, right? Wrong. Its gone to 5th place Neman Grodno, who also reached the semis of the cup. Surely the spot should go to me?
thomas_e
South Shields Special Talent Update Youth Intakes 2032 - 2033: Our golden generation(s)? I have gotten quite a few seasons with South Shields under my belt now and we have seen some great progress, making it to the Premier League, and staying in it for the last couple of seasons. In the lower leagues it was mainly our regen striker Bob Sterry who pulled most of the weight, getting the top goal scorer title basically every season. The last few seasons have seen some good regens arrive. Goalkeeper Ross Finnie in the 2030 Youth Intake has been fantastic, I see him as a potential England no. 1 in the future, and in our last intake (2034) we got a great talent in Martin Hutchinson, an allround offensive player with great potential. But as in most intakes, the vast majority of players never become good enough. But I think the foundation for what can be a stable Premier League team came in the 2032 and 2033 intakes. Two great intakes with potentially 9 future Premier League players.. I thought I would do an extra update regarding these two youth intakes, now 17 months and 29 months since they arrived at the club. Hope it's an interesting read. The youth intakes when they arrived 2032 2033 2032 Youth Intake This is my third save doing the youth academy challenge. Once in Spain with Real Jean that I completed and one in Croatia with NK Zadar (only won the league). Ryan Hughes in our 2032 Youth Intake is by far the best player I have ever gotten in any youth intake doing this challenge. I couldn't get him to sign a contract soon enough and put him straight into the team. He was our best defender in our debut season in the Premier League, at 17 years of age. Carl O'Hanlon from the same intake has now taken over the DM spot and is also our first choice set piece taker. Ryan Gibbons is still in the U23, but I still see a great future for him. Ryan Hughes - March 2032 Ryan Hughes - September 2034 Carl O'Hanlon - March 2032 Carl O'Hanlon - September 2034 Ryan Gibbons - March 2032 Ryan Gibbons - September 2034 2033 Youth Intake The 2033 Youth Intake showed great promise in terms of star rating, but I wasn't that impressed as my HOYD. I guess that just shows why I am not the HOYD as the players have progressed great! Derek Graham, originally a central midfielder, is being re-trained as a striker and I think he as massive potential! Bob Dolan is knocking on the door for a first team spot. Too bad about his horrendous personality. Alex Robinson is far from Premier League quality, but injuries have led to him playing as my first choice. He is having a very tough time against big sides, but I think he is a star in the making! Shane Long, Ross Corker (pace, pace, pace) and Stuart Hunt all have potential to become Premier League-quality players. officiallydeej
Season Review - Nuneaton Borough - 2020/21 Transfers - Finances So this was rather unexpected! I've never really settled on this version on FM and believe it or not had not achieved a promotion before this, but everything seemed to click and we ended up getting promoted as champions. It wasn't comfortable as this makes it appear and up until the 44th game we never led the league by more than three points. The squad itself had no right to finish so high and honestly I'm not sure we can survive in the National League. We were inconsistent at times but I micromanaged the morale of the players more than ever and managed to keep us away from the endless losing runs that have crippled my other attempts. Still can't believe this but can't wait to see what the National League will bring. We also had a decent run in both cups, pushing Burton all the way in the FA Cup in the first round proper. The South Shields games came at an unfortunate time for me and I had to play my second string which weren't enough to overcome them, but beating National League sides Halifax and Chorley does give me hope we can compete to an extent next season. Tom Powell - Charlie Exley - Jack Spark One obvious standout here, with Tom Powell's 36 goals and impressive 7.42 average rating the catalyst behind our unexpected promotion. The main thing I take from this screen is that we only have 2 players over the age of 22 in the whole squad, allowing me to play a pressing game with a high tempo without running out of steam. 34 year old Isaiah Osbourne is our club captain and whilst he won't be around too much longer, I'm going to keep him playing as long as I can as he seems to be the glue that holds the whole team together. Nathan Rogers 21a - Josh Davison 21b - Balazs Kesztyus 21c Not a bad first effort from our HOYD,I actually think Kesztyus is the best of the bunch but we're stacked up front so he'll have to wait for his chance. We only have one left winger so Rogers will be joining up with the first team squad straight away.

Rainbowz
So Boavista finally sold the insane regen they stole from me to a top PL club. I have a 15% profit clause on him, so I can't wait to see how much I g- I'm making Boavista my rivals in this save. Not only do they accept a stupid offer and deny me a much-needed finance boost, they're sniffing around a couple of my other prospects and unsettling them.
shaunvamos
Okay I've hit a save ending bug (?) I think. I won the league, but the team that came second qualifies for the Champions League. For reference here's the qualification spots. This is incredibly frustrating, given how I've gone 16 seasons and toiled our way to the top only to have it flushed down the toilet. I will be back with another country, but not before I fully research the club and make sure there's no issue like this. I really don't understand why this was the case. OrToDaRy282
Season 2024 reviewCompetions overview - Transfers - Youth Intake 2025 We were able to retain the title. The leagues almost a done deal because of the so low level and my focus on progress is making it so that I'm already playing with the best players in the league. Asian football is sooo hard tho, because of the difference in quality. I got hammered in the CL. From now on it's taking the best prospects, including them in my team and trying to perform each year a bit better in Asian Continental football. It's hard because the group stages of the CL are actually in my pre-season. Youth intake 2025 is nothing worth mentioning I'm afraid. Anyway, let's do this! We took in 2025 our first win in the ACL home against Suwong!

ATW
2023/2024 Summer Transfer Window Update - We were not ready for this... Well the summer transfer window has closed, and although I have not lost anyone to transfers there have been a few players, once again sent out on loan. As for the league oof! yeah, this is going to be a long season, although I have stopped leaking goals like it was confetti. Saying that, not scoring either... just look at those last 4! So where does this leave us in the league, well it leaves us bottom. We go again!

_JHTB_
Oborishte Panagyurishte 2024/2025 Vtora Liga – 1st Promoted League Table -- Fixtures (1) -- Fixtures (2) -- Stats -- Awards -- Season Review -- Transfer -- Overall Best XI -- Key Player -- Hot Prospect -- Squad -- Finances A phenomenal season for us, although a little disappointing as at one stage it looked as though we were going to go unbeaten all season and keep our goals against in the single figures column, but a late wobble in form saw that go out the window. Our late form did frustrate me a little as it nearly saw us throw away a very healthy lead at the top of the table. I feel Miroslav Chervenkov 2d deserves his kudos for an impressive 20 clean sheets in 26 games for us this season, which would likely have been higher were he not injured for the games he did miss. We didn’t do the best in the Bulgarian Cup only making it to the 1st round this season, though a lack of cup run may have helped us in the league in terms of freshness. Our best players this year as determined by the player of the year awards: Ahmed Genchev 2b: Genchev took his game to the next level this year whilst he still only provided 2 assists for the season he did manage to get 8 goals for us whilst being ever present for us. He’s also managed to pass 100 league appearances for us which is good. I am surprised we have yet to receive any bids for him but I’m not complaining. Stenislav Georgiev: Georgiev had another solid season for us this year, fairly apt a defender managed to be amongst our best players this season where for the most part we did not concede goals, he’s reaching a point where he’s going to start declining rapidly at least physically, but he should still be ok for next season. Hristo Gerogiev 1d: Georgiev 1d had a very good season for us, the highest amount of goals any of our players have scored for us since we started though, I guess it is expected we’d score more in general when we win a league. Georgiev 1d has developed fairly well over the course of the season, and with the lack of strikers coming through is likely our go to striker for a few years at the very least. Youth Intake My head of youth development is still sticking to his ‘golden generation’ claim but this time I’m not really buying it, though maybe some of them will be able to surprise me, but on initial impression it is very much an underwhelming intake. However, we are due a not spectacular one so I guess this is it. Youth intake 2024 – Ones to Watch Kostadin Iliev 5a: Iliev looks like he could develop into a solid back up player for us but don’t know if he’ll be able to surpass that. His versatility is nice though, natural all across the back 4. Our lack of future options in the centre back position may see him be a better player for us than I expect him to be. Kiril Peshev 5b: Peshev is some way from being first team ready, but as mentioned with Iliev, the fact he is a centre back improves his chances of developing into a first team player for us but his attributes are relatively low at present. Iliyan Marinov 5e: Unlikely to be a first choice player at any point for us, but similarly to the other two from this intake he plays in a position where we don’t have a great amount of strength in depth, though does need to improve somewhat to be a capable back up at striker for us. Itamar Malmilian 5j: The final of our intake that follows in the footsteps of all 3 of the others in that he’s likely to be only ever back up at best. This guy has the added novelty of him being our first none Bulgarian. Really in most areas needed for a striker he isn’t awful, just probably not going to be as good as I’d want him to be. News/Looking Ahead Finances are looking increasingly worrying though I did try and offset it with the sale of a player, Miroslav Flipov 4c of last years intake left in summer after throwing the toys out at me not selling him. We managed to get 70k and 50% of next sale for him, and whilst I’d have liked to have kept him, defensive midfield is one area where we least need future prospects so good to get some money for him and hopefully he’ll develop well for a resale. We got our first youth internationals this season with both Borislav Ivanov 3a and Alexander Moskov 4h making their Bulgaria U19s debuts in separate international periods. Our under 19s also managed to win the youth cup which can only be promising. Next season the aim is to not get relegated Edited April 16, 2020 by _JHTB_

I've had a good look around both the editor and Belarussian football sites and I can't see any reason why Dnepr can't or shouldn't be allowed in Europe. They last entered in Intertoto in 2011 and have played in the Uefa cup before that too. I dont think there is any ban, as @officiallydeej pointed out there's no indication that we have a ban, the only clue I have is that in the cup rules it says we aren't eligible for Europe as winners of the cup. 11 hours ago, Makoto Nakamura said: It's not just you. I've bounced around so much in FM20 because of bugs and a lot of times I've had the wrong teams qualifying for Europe Perhaps it's not a bug, maybe it's hard coded somewhere that we can't qualify? The only reason I can point to is that the club was formed in 2019, but I'm really not sure.
kabajingai
@shaunvamos The Belarusian league is slightly bugged I think. Because its played over the summer in one calendar year, you won't be entered into the CL until next season. So if you ended the season in December 2035, you won't be entered into the CL until July 2036. If you look at your game, Dinamo Minsk won the title year before you, so go into the CL for this season. (i.e. the 2035/2036 season.) Its a more a visual bug than anything, so I wouldn't worry about it. I ran the Belarusian league on my game. Minsk and BATE got to the final of the cup, meaning that Zhodino got the Europa League II spot via the league position - however this wasn't shown on the screen. But they did get placed into the competition the following season. Edited April 17, 2020 by kabajingai

But, in the season where I was supposed to qualify for the Europa Conference League due to teams above me making the final, the team below me in the league got the spot, not me. The same holds true in the league screenshot. There are 3 spots for Europe and one conditional one based on who wins the cup, but teams in 2nd, 3rd and 4th got the automatic spots. Shakhtyor, who came 4th, got the European spot that was supposed to be allocated to 3rd place. Accounting for your theory that the team from the previous year gets the euro spots, they came 6th which is even further down. I think this is a Dnepr Mogilev specific issue unfortunately. DazRTaylor
End of Season Review Season 2022/23 FC United of Manchester League Table - We were never good enough for the top four, though we always kept the playoffs within reach and so it proved as we finished in sixth place. Playoffs - Just like the last time we made the playoffs two years ago, we played Hereford away from home. This time however, we were very poor and lost one nil, thus ending our season. League Fixtures 1, 2 & 3 - Our poor form at the turn of the year nearly cost us dearly as we dropped to twelfth place. We recovered somewhat and finished in the playoff spots. F. A. Cup - We made it through to the first round before Colchester United got revenge on us by beating us comfortably. F. A. Trophy - A poor campaign this year as FC Halifax, who were in the relegation zone in the league above, outclassed us, sending us packing in the first round. Pre Season Friendlies - Just the two defeats, to Millwall & Hearts, otherwise very solid. Squad - We are getting stronger as the young players continue to develop. Squad Dynamics - Everyone still loves everyone else. Transfers In - None. Transfers Out - I trimmed the squad and let a few of fringe players go. Youth Candidates - A fantastic intake this year, with Ryan Jackson YP23E37 already one of the better players at the club. Stavros Sarrigiannis YP23C35 & Anthony Connolly YP23F38 are also players to keep an eye on. Finances - Not as good as last year as we are starting to lose money. I am not worried though as the vultures will be circling over our young talent soon enough. Key Players Tunde Owolabi - Our main striker appears to be declining in ability which is a cause for concern. His returns are also diminishing as he scored 20 goals this season, from his 52 appearances. Alan Benson YP22F22 - The left back has developed so much, he is now regarded as the best player at the club. That said, he had a poor season overall. Dean Curran YP21C3 - Central defender who made himself an automatic starter halfway through the season. Obi Obi YP22E21 - The right back dislodged Nick Ryder YP21D4 as the first choice. Developing rapidly. Özer Demir YP22C19 - A natural as an attacking midfielder through the centre, a position I don't use, he is being retrained to play on the wing and is doing a sterling job. Next Season Another playoff push. thomas_e
13 hours ago, uroszila said: Great overview, really interesting read. I see you are building a really strong team - well done I wonder, what's your recipe for keeping the best players in your team without getting purchased from bigger clubs? In my current save with Havelse (Germany) I have big troubles with keeping my best players in the team as they are frequently poached from bigger clubs in country already when they are under youth contract. Thanks @uroszila! I'm not sure if I necessarily have a recipe, luck is a big factor! When I played with NK Zadar a few months ago I lost my best youngster (poached) and my three best players to big clubs, the board just sold them without me having a say in it. But I only sign youngsters on pro contracts. Some of them are obviously too young for the pro contract to take effect, but as long as they accept a pro contract that starts when they are 17 they can't be poached by other clubs. I also always put in a three year extension clause in the contracts. That makes for example a 4 year contract on paper into a 7 year contract in reality. I also try to do all my contract renewals just before transfer windows start. In some cases the January windows, but I like to focus on the summer window as it's the longest. I usually do the contract renewals one week before the transfer window starts. That gives me enough time for players to accept new contracts, and with players having just resigned their contract it usually keeps other clubs away. A player who just signed a contract is often highly unlikely to get upset about a refused transfer offer. PS! Be careful, as there seems to be a bit of a bug with new contracts affecting loan offers. Sometimes it's difficult to find clubs to make loan offers when a player has signed a new contract. Makes no sense, I know! On that topic though, I would strongly recommend to not loan out players before they are at least 18 (unless they are crazy good but have another top quality player playing in that excact position in the first team). I also took a gamle this time, as the club accepted a bid for Bob Sterry a few years ago. I then threatened to leave if they didn't reverse their decision. Luckily they did and that was the last time they tried doing something like that.

Rainbowz
S.C Lourinhanense 2023-24 Season Preview Media Prediction | Squad | Finances I've realized in the 3 seasons I've done this, I've not shown off my Starting XI, so meet the ragtag bunch getting me through this challenge: Patrocínio Cardozo - Jota - Brassard - Ildefonso Vaz - Lemos Pereira --------- Esgaio Miranda - Rosado Manager's Notes I have a very good feeling about this season. We're starting to shape up with a very good squad with potential all across the board. Some good pre-season results have filled me with confidence that we can achieve a top-half finish despite our media prediction of being the 10th worst team in the entire Championship. Development and lack of injuries will be key, and I'll have my fingers crossed for some quality CBs to appear in the next intake. I'm definitely aiming high, however.
Winski
I have not posted here for a while. I tried this challenge with East Kilbride, but I just couldn’t get into that save. I then had a really, really nice save with SC Cambuur, my local club in Holland and the club I support IRL. We won the Dutch Eredivisie 3 times in a row before winning the Champions League in 2026, with Lionel Messi in his last season in my fist team. Fantastic. And now I’m back here. I really want to complete the challenge and I’m going to try it with an English team. I have never managed in the English lower leagues before, so I can’t wait to start. So let’s welcome the new manager of Redditch United!
