Popular Post XaW
Season 2030/31 - JD Cymru Premier Holy number of different cups, Batman! Wow, this was an eventful year with loads of new cups and a very tough schedule to follow. We managed to retain the league title ahead of Cardif Met Uni and Bangor City. We are turning professional next season, so that will help out a lot going forward! We were runners up in the league cup, while the Welsh Cup and the "Tunnock's Caramel Wafer Challenge Cup" were cut short by Alloa Athletic. Over to Europe, the most important part. We managed to beat Linfiled of Northern Ireland in the Champions League qualifiers before losing to AIK (again) in the 2nd qualification round. That put us into the Europa League where we lost to Icelandic side FH in the 3rd qualification round. So we went into the Europa Conference 4th round were we beat Latvian side Riga to go into the group stage! Here we finished 3rd behind TSV Hartberg of Austria and Olimpija Ljubljana of Slovenia, but ahead of Kazakh side Astana. A great run and lots of cash made, so I managed to get approved improvements to the facilities that should be finished some time in the next season. All in all, a bit step forward. Transfers | Youth Preview | Youth Intake A very good youth intake! Well wanted due to some average ones the last few seasons. One player in particular is very welcome after we lost our best midfielder before the season started. Key players: Callum Cairns 30c, Bryan Stone 28f & Ieuan Vale 29a

keeper#1
South Shields 2026 Youth Intake A solid class and an improvement over last year's class. Ingore the red box on the technical average. That should be purple. This is our best class technically and mentality. A lot of neutral personalities with a determined personality with our top center back - a position of need for us. Adam Parkes is listed as a full-back but he can't mark or tackle. Plus, my DNA table has his best position as forward. This means I'll need to spend some time converting him into an attack-minded right winger. I think he can thrive there. Jonathan Sandberg adds some much needed pace, work rate, and decision making into the central midfield. Can also move out and play on the left wing as well. A very useful player going forward. Janaai Marzano is the player that I have the highest hopes for out of this intake. He fills a position of need - center back. He can mark (marking - 13). He can tackle (tackling - 9). He has mentals that can develop when he's given playing time. His only weakness is he's slow. I think I can outrun him. Aldrich Benteke is a winger that will be converted into a full-back. His offensive mindset isn't the best. His defensive abilities look much better. So, I'll have Parkes - the fullback who should be a winger - and Benteke - the winger who should be a fullback. Kevin Parkes is an interesting player. He could help in the central midfield but he can't pass. He has some ability to play at left fullback. He will spend some time training as a left full-back to see how he develops there. If he develops, he could be our left back going forward. If he doesn't, he will settle into a ball-winning center midfielder role.

If the red 'x' had been there, you should have cancelled it, but since it's past that point they are to be considered as part of your initial squad. PatBreeze
Karşıyaka Spor Kulübü Club Facilities: İzmir Atatürk Stadyumu Season Prediction: 19th of 19 Best Current Players: Doğukan İnci, Hakan Kuş, Erdoğan Açar Best Youth Players: Yiğit Duran, İlhan Bingöl, Çağatay Duman The squad looks decent star rating-wise, however the coach provide squad advice only has 4s for judging ability/potential. I have an offer in for a decent Ass Man with low teens in those attributes, so I should have a better idea on my squad going forward. Our best players all seem to be in the attacking midfield, so I'm going to start out in a 4231 to make use of them. The media has tipped us to go straight back down, so the goal for year 1 is to just stay up. Wish us luck!

OlivierL
September - October 2021 | Season 1 Very strong run and We stay at the top, unfortunately a very strange end of the last match against Altrincham with goals in injury time caused my first loss. In the FA Cup we were able to continue a few times and in the next round we will play at home against Tranmere (league one) . These matches have already provided extra income but I keep hoping for a top game away. A great goal from Pemberton to secure a winner at Hereford. Constantine
Alright fellas, i need an advice. After underwhelming intake preview, (underwhelming as in, we needed fullbacks and goalie but we've got two DMC top prospects) the day they came in, i was really, really happy. Yet another CD prospect, two defensive midfielders (one of whom is what we need, playmaker), proper fullback (!!!) and, the most importantly, the guy that made post here ahead of time... We've got ourselves a model citizen!! He's not the most talented of the bunch, according to my coaches but this lovely personality must give him some edge... Right? What should i do with him? How do i groom him properly? I don't want his squadmates to corrupt him.

OlivierL
November 2021 | Season 1 We continue to perform strongly in the competition. I hope we can keep this up and at least aim for playoffs now. It is still a long season. So far I am lucky to be able to handle everything with my 15 senior players. I did have to finish this month without my attacking mid Simpson. He was out for about four weeks. Fa cup after the stunt at home against Tranmere with ten players, we could not repeat our stunt in Tranmere but we did well. This earned me a total of 200k. Oops ! VillaSmith
Getting close to the end of the season, and boy did that derby win feel good! 10 games without a win, I think my worst run so far on this save, and I wasconvinced I'd be going down after thinking I might have an unlikely playoff push a few months ago. Fortunately bottom placed Gateshead, my fierce rivals, have been awful this season and sit on just 17 points, and I absolutely thrashed them! It has put me on 52 points which is officially enough to stay up, but jeez those last couple of months have been rough. Although it is very sweet to confirm survival against Gateshead
Gbrexiton
In December when I got my youth intake preview, it said that a left midfielder would be my best prospect , but when I check again in February, it changes to a CB. SannieJordi
So to Say It has been a rough season is an understatement I barely managed to keep my head above the surface as my board wanted to speak to me 4 times to give me a last chance. My goal to game ratio was really bad as i conceded way too many goals. Games going 0-7 1-6 and 0-4 weren't special and made me lose confidence really quickly. My best performing players were my Goalie why despite conceding 92 (!!!!) goals in 38 games ended the season with a 7,17 rating overall. And my Striker, my striker managed to score 19 goals off a total of my only 35 goals. On the other end of the spectrum was my RB who was god awful but I had nobody else to play there. As for my youth intake day: I hope to find use in atleast 3 players. I hope he can be used as a new LB or RB to kick out my former right back. Really don't know how to train this guy but hopefully he will be useful in the future. Will hopefully make it so I don't concede as much in the future. A picture of showing off my Transfer season. Chin up and hopefully on to a better season in the year 2025/26
Bruce Drundrige
So I’ve decided to start again – again – but this time away from a league/country I know and continue my aims in FM21 of trying new things and breaking old habits. Inverurie Locos are on hold while I try the challenge in Serbia, with Serbian First League team FK Smederevo 1924, based on the banks of the Danube about 45kms from Belgrade (images to follow if I can remember). Decent sized stadium and adequate youth recruitment so lots of potential for progression. It has turned out to me a more interesting challenge than expected (especially when I actually read the rules properly) – league rules dictate that at least four U21s must be in the matchday squad (or spaces left on the bench) and two U21s must play the first half of each league game. This has thrown a bit of a spanner in the works to my pre-season prep as I only have four U21s in the entire squad…two are only 15 and the other is 16, and they are all forwards/wingers. The fourth is my 20-year-old back-up keeper [smh]. I have three really-good forwards and only two natural CDs, so I was planning to play a 3-4-3 to maximise the ability of the forward players. This has kind of worked out ok, because as well as being forced to play my backup GK (who has done ok to be fair) I now play the 16 year old striker in the middle of the three forwards and take advantage of his very high teamwork and workrate and use him as a defensive pressing forward to buzz about and annoy the opposition. Predictably I’ve now broken all the youngest player and youngest goalscorer records for the club, the league and the cup. This is the point of this challenge I suppose - being forced to play the kids - so hopefully their high potential comes good thanks to these earlier than expected first team appearances. We are second favourites for relegation but sitting in the top half after about eight games, so it’s so far so good. Popular Post keeper#1
South Shields 2025-26 Season Review Fixtures 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 - Didn't have the fatigue issues as bad as previous seasons but it was still there if I left the starters in for too many matches in a row. Some depth also helped with the fatigue issues as well. Final Table - Our best ever finish in 4th place. Playoff Tree - Finally won a playoff game and rode that wave all the way to Wembley and earned promotion to League Two FA Cup - Another run into the 3rd round where we lost at Portsmouth FA Trophy - Another year where we went one and done 2025-26 xG General Performance - Based on the xG stats, we were a very average team that got hot at just the right time to earn promotion 2025-26 xG Overperformance - xG states that we overperformed across the board but only second best when it came to overperformance. Top spot went to Bromley who eliminated in the playoff semi-final Transfers - One small sale and two big sales for a National League club Stats Players of the Season: CF Mike Neiland 23B, CF/CM Robbie Newton 23D, CB Marc Hodgson 22A, GK Myles Boney Youth Intake - Another very top-heavy intake which is fine by me Youth Intake DNA - Smartest and most technically gifted intake thus far even though they aren't the biggest or strongest Players to Watch: RB/RW Adam Parkes 26A, LW/CM Jonathan Sandberg 26B, CB Jaanai Marzano 26C, RW/RB Aldrich Benteke 26D (not Christian Benteke's son, @OlivierL), CM/LB Kevin Younger 26E Best XI Accolades Moments to Remember With the move to League Two, I'm going to see if I can improve my HoYD solely based on the fact that our reputation should be improved. Yes, this will be my fifth HoYD in six seasons. Stadium Expansion - Need to expand the stadium to meet the League Two requirements But something I don't understand, the owner provided a loan injection to cover debt but the club has no debt even with the stadium expansion Since the stadium expansion did not impact our bottom line, I decided to upgrade the youth facilities with the new found money. Now to fight against relegation in League Two! Just need to finish 22nd! Edited December 7, 2020 by keeper#1

Constantine
Jedinstvo Ub 2021/22 It wasn't the best of times. It wasn't the worst either, as we barely secured our survival in Super liga. No relegation play offs for us though i thought we're bound for it since our form took a bloody nosedive when the league split and only hard earned victory at our home v Novi Pazar saved us from almost certain doom. About Cup... We don't talk about that. No transfers in, with one loanee going out. Finances aren't that terrible (yet) but lack of income hurt us as no upgrades can be done. Recruitment boost came from beginning of season, when the board asked me to spend money on some random **** (salary for u21 physios or something) and i convinced them to channel those funds toward expanding our recruitment network. On intake... I showed this few posts earlier. Pretty happy with this. Signed goalkeeper. Two fullbacks, as we needed them. Badly. But our top prospects are CD and two DM's. Great looking defender. Not really a fan of high Aggression/low Decisions combo as i find it leads to a several stupid red cards à la Steven Taylor of Newcastle fame but... Other than that, great. We really needed some creative input in midfield and this lad will do fine. He'll deputize but surely he'll have his share of minutes. This one is pretty weird player. With higher marking he would make decent defender as i think his technique is lacking badly for a midfielder. His speed isn't great too. Don't know what to do with him yet. Model Citizen!! Our HoYD came through. Hopefully i can develop him without ruining his personality. We need more like him. Top performers: Zoran Govedarica 21a, Kristijan Djurdjevic, Luka Vasovic. Finest younglings: Svetislav Dzamic 21d, Darko Radosavljevic, Stevan Vuckovic 21c.

Steveh171
Taranto 21/22 Season Review After spending 2 years circling relegation with Stourbridge before finally succumbing, i've decided to try my hand in Italy. I watched the Maradonna documentary recently, and this made me want to take on a team in the south of italy and take them to glory. It was a hard season, as always we flew out of the starting blocks after a mixed pre season and found ourselves looking up the table rather than down. However as what inevitably always happens this year on my saves. Opposition teams have laser accurate long balls, regardless of defensive depth, and my team stumbled over the finishing line to avoid relegation. I stuck true to a 4-3-3 all season, however it feels that playing a lone striker in my saves so far feels like a real handicap. We managed a 14th place finish in the end, you can see how truly bad our results were in the run in. Youth intake was good, as with my stourbridge save i'm still lacking a true right back, and we only have 1 true striker at the club. So really looking desperate up front. This guy was my stand out player, however hes more of a wingback. The complete lack of right sided defensive players in my team means i cant use him. Also managed to upgrade youth recruitment to Average and academy coaching to adequate which was a positive so more of the same next season. Thank you for the spreadsheet analysis stuff, I had no idea you could export from FM. I'm going to play around this week with some BI tools like tableau to try and automate some imports and make some cool analysis when I get some time. It helped me move one of my centre mids to centre back! So whats the plan for next season? I'd like to push up the table (who wouldn't). I can't help but feel we under achieved last year due to the complete fall apart of our tactic towards the back end of the season. Winski
ÍR End of season 2022 Our first season is over and we just survived. It was a tough season, but we never were in real problems throughout the season. Our main striker had a very good season and scored 17 league goals in 20 matches. In the Cups we didn't have any success. We were knocked out in the League Cup in Group Stage. In the 'real' Cup we knocked out in the Third Round by Keflavik. It is nice to see that we sold 71 shirts. We need to begin somewhere But more important: upgrades!! | We managed to upgrade Junior Coaching and Youth Recruitment, so both of them are 'Good' now, which is quite reasonable for this level. For next season I expect to finish a bit higher then this season. I posted my youth intake earlier and we got some very decent youngsters. I'll put some of them directly in the first team. Hopefully some of them will develop into good players for us. As you can see on my first screenshot is that IBV managed to win the Cup, and therefore qualified for Europe. But they also fight against relegation in our league. It is the shortest way to Europe (and to $$$), so hopefully we can do the same in the coming seasons.
officiallydeej
I've decided to shelve my Rodos save, mainly due to the rapidly declining number of players somewhat ruining the immersion for me. The best Greeks from other teams were getting swallowed up by teams in other countries that were desperately trying to replenish their dwindling squads, leaving teams like Olympiakos and AEK fielding teams of League One standard English regens. Argiznano Valchiampo - Italian Lega Pro Girone A I looked at the teams that came up at the end of the first season in Italy and this team immediately stood out to me. I ruled out Siena as a couple of others have already started with them so I wanted someone different. I excluded most of the other teams and left myself with 3 options to choose from. Mestre - They're based in Venice where there are only canals, no roads - imagine trying to get to an away game on a Gondola! ACR.Messina - They've been in Serie A since the millennium and have a big starter stadium at 37,000, and are also based in Sicily which would have added an interesting aspect to the save trying to become the dominant Sicilian team overtaking Palermo and Catania. They have a long history of financial problems and have reformed a number of times (as recently as 2014) and something about them just didn't quite appeal to me. That left me with the team you see above Arzignano Valchiampo (I'll probably have to use the game to check that spelling for at least another 4 or 5 seasons). They played their first ever season in Serie C in 2019/20, but with the team in 18th when the season was curtailed due to pandemic were relegated with only 4 wins and 18 goals scored. They've made it back at the first time of asking in my save so I'm here to try and improve on that performance. They are easily the worst of the promoted teams, I love their name and love their kits, clearly a recipe for success (or disaster?) We only have 8 players, 1 who I have 7 days to persuade not to leave on a free and I'll be forced to play the first season with a greyed out keeper, so it's really anybody's guess how this is going to go or how long it will last. The clear goal here is to survive the first season and flesh the squad out with some young lads ASAP. fairsy
I've started this with Needham Market, but don't think i am even going to survive one season! Only had 12 players when I joined, one of whom was a 41 year old midfielder that retired straight away.......with injuries I am generally playing at least 2 greyed out players in every single game and am 9 points off safety with about 13 games to go. I don't see anyway back from here, trying to play 4411, but ultimately limited by trying to fit my 11 players into a formation that suits! Has anyone else managed a team with so few players initially and how did you get through it?
Hian
Just got my youth intake and I don't think I've ever had a youth intake with so many bad personalities. But I don't get why? Here is my HOYD and his media handling is Outspoken, Media-Friendly. The rest of the coaching staff are mostly determined or proffesional, with a couple of balanced personalities. What is the best way of turning these lazy kids into proffesional athletes? On a more positive note, we are probably playing the best football we ever have. Breaking our own league points record already! Three games to go and there is a slight chance of getting into the playoffs by being the best 4th placed team.
