JAwtunes
Widzew Lodz (FM20) Season 2 (2021-22) - Youth Intake Preview So, it looks like we have some decent prospects coming through in this intake but nothing too special. We are in need of a CM, as our only decent one is turning 31 this season. Our two best players are our ML and MR, with an average age of just 20, so the abundance of new wingers is not something we're really in need of. Maybe one or two can be retrained as AMC, CF or DR (fingers crossed).
Raffen
Merthyr Town FC - Season 2023/24 Table | Squad | Transfers | Finances Consistently inconsistent all season. Hovering just above the relegation zone. The bottom teams had better seasons than previous years, so we were nervously looking over our shoulders all season. Chopping and changing playing style probably didn't help, but struggled to find a decent basis. Ended the season with an ultra-direct 4-2-4, but haven't got any decent target men in the squad. Somehow beat Vanarama National League side Barnet in the third qualifying round of the FA cup, losing to Wrexham, also Vanorama National, in the first round. It did help the finances slightly, but would've liked a bigger opponent. Only managed two wins against one of the relegated teams, 1 win and 1 loss against the three others. Performer of the season was Absalom again. Team performance otherwise was so-so, but Jamie Richards 23a surprisingly top goal scorer without much development in the last year. No others from the 23-generation established in the team yet. The same players from the 22-generation still regulars in the side, with also Ifan Williams 22e becoming a regular. On a worrying note, a coach rated my best player, Joel Harvey, as "having the potential to be a Vanarama National League North player". I think we might be punching way above our weight, and the bookies seem to agree on that... Youth intake preview and intake didn't exactly light up the globe. Steve Long 24a, Max Tipp 24b and Jack French 24c my current favorites. Forgot about the goalkeeper Simon Bassett 24j when ranking prospects, but he seems like he might become my first choice 'keeper in a few years time. Now all three youth squads are filled up, I guess it's time to start being more ruthless when giving out contracts. Still a lot of undesirable personalities in the squad. There was no development on the facilities from last season.

DJ Sir Matthew
SEASON 22-23 - VANARAMA LEAGUE NORTH Well, after we sold our star player the only way was ... down: The last game was deciding whether we would play play-offs or not. Which we did, only to lose immediately to Tamworth. With 70 goals conceded our defense record is as bad as last year, with 85 goals made (vs 103 last year) the drop in quality up front is obvious. And no good strikers in sight. The craziest game was a 3-3 draw against Guiseley where their GK fumbled the ball after jumping to grab it after a long throw and another long throw grabbed by their GK only to then quickly kick out the ball against our striker and seeing the ball disappear in the net Cups As the cup games were still played with Kian Smith in our squad, we did well. Even better than last year. We reached the First Round Proper of the FA Cup where we were trounced 3-0 to Bradford City. FA Trophy saw us advancing as far as 5th round, which was one of the first games without Kian Smith and we lost 3-2 to Morecambe. Youth Development There were no funds this season to improve Youth Facilities but Junior Coaching as well Youth Recruitment got improved again and as posted before, it shows. 48 players in our roster now, more than enough and from next season on, I might decide to not sign all youth prospects... I have a feeling the money making of it won't be worth it. Future Plans It was a tough decision selling Kian Smith. Keeping him at bay might have given us a shot at promotion. Then again, our youth prospects needs time to grow and they better do it at an adequate level. Next season will be a season of consolidation, aiming for a mid-table finish while introducing as many youngsters as possible without burning them out. I might start instant resulting games too to go even quicker through seasons as my play time is limited. I hope it doesn't affect player evolution?

Sn00gle
@Steveh171 The way I understand this is that if you upgrade facilities that will allow your players to get their max PA while playing in your team after they change contract from junior to senior. I think as well that helps more for players that don't play in first 11. Upgrating youth will help you to get better quality intake that means that even if they are not so good some clubs in game will think about them as good players to take as they are young and have some potential and abilities. That will let you develop your Club. Edited December 28, 2020 by Sn00gle
Popular Post shaunvamos
2038/39 Excelsior Maassluis Season Review We won everything there was to be won in the Netherlands this season, and we did it in style! We lost 2 games all season, and it was looking extremely likely that we were going to go undefeated. But we had a few injuries and tired players and our depth was stretched to breaking point, and we lost a couple. Funnily enough, we lost the same amount of games we did last season, but we found out how to win those close ones. Hopefully we are now at that stage where the league will be a lot easier. We did really well in the Champions League, even if we made it extremely difficult for ourselves early on. Unlucky not to make it through to the knockout stages, but I'm really impressed with our win over Juventus. Atalanta knocked us out early in the Europa League, which was disappointing. We did beat them 2-1 away despite what the screen says, which is what makes the result so annoying. Alex Smith 9B* - Glenn Schermer 10A* - Kevin Witteveen 13B* Schermer took his game to another level this season, and has now become one of our best players after paying his dues in the reserves. Smith was a creative wizard from wingback, and our superstar keeper has 11 caps at just 21, and still has a full star of development to go! Record Breakers It's kinda depressing to see that a few of our good players from previous seasons are just about to hit 30. Especially Mohammed, who is still a first team player. Youth Intake Marvin van den Berg 18A* - Brian Sabuni 18B* - Rudy de Groot 18C* Wow. What an intake! 2 players already listed as promising, and in positions really important for us. We are in desperate need for wing-backs, and this intake has certainly provided the kind of depth we need there. It's interesting to note that our top rated player wasn't given a "promising" description, but he still looks pretty damn good with 17 tackling already. We definitely hit the jackpot with personalities too. I'm really excited to see how these guys develop Transfers We sold a few depth options because they wanted to leave, and the departure of Bah and Bakx gutted our quality at left back and we paid for it eventually. At least we got good money from the deals. Progress

Lost my best remaining forward (again) but as were in serie B I managed to get 3.9m which massively helps! The training facilities are used for ALL players you can see at your club. Both senior and U18s use the training facilities. The youth facilities are used by newgens who are not generated yet ONLY. We had that confirmed by SI: Quote Youth Facilities The training facilities available for Juniors (only). Does NOT apply to visible players already at the club. All visible players currently at the club use Training Facilities regardless of age. So I tend to look at how my current squad, and current facilities, are when I decide to go for youth or training facilities. If I get high potential, but low ability, then I go training to help them reach it. If I feel that potential is lacking, then I go for youth facilities. Still, any upgrade is a good upgrade though. So it's not like you are doing it wrong by choosing one of the other anyway.

DazRTaylor
End of Season Review Season 2025/26 SV Babberich League Table - The league was tight throughout the season and there was no outstanding side. We went top after the penultimate match before blowing it and only drawing the last game of the season. League Fixtures 1 & 2 - We were inconsistent until the New Year, when everything seemed to click and we went on a long winning run. Drawing the last game proved to be key as we dropped to the runners up spot. Pre Season Friendlies - A much better pre season with just the one defeat. Mid Season Friendlies - As usual, we played three games and the only loss was against second tier outfit Excelsior. Squad - They are getting better. Are they good enough for promotion next season? Squad Dynamics - I am pleased with this as the players continue to gel. Transfers In - None. Transfers Out - Just the one departure, as managed to hold on to most of our players. Youth Candidates - Despite the best preview to date, I was slightly underwhelmed by this group of players, though Frank Jager YP26A65 has gone straight into the first team squad. Finances - We are still losing money and I still have absolutely no idea how to improve them. Key Players Olivier van Brakel YP23B18 - An excellent season from the goalkeeper, who won points on his own. Kyran Arends YP24I41 - Another stellar campaign from the striker, scoring 26 goals in his 23 appearances. Milo den Uil YP23I25 - A solid season from the central midfielder, as he dominated certain games. Daniël Leiwakabessy YP25B50 - A poor campaign from the defensive midfielder yet as a player, he improved considerably. Tom Zandvliet YP23A17 - A decent enough season from the central defender, though he is capable of even more. Next Season After finishing second this season, the obvious goal is to top the division and finally escape the sixth tier. vikeologist
Vikeologist's 9th Folkestone Intake Report First impression. Some good players. No very good players, and really that’s the problem. Once I sign some of these, I will have a squad of nearly 50 mediocre players. The biggest problem is the positions. I don’t think I’ve ever had a good natural left winger. Any left winger or central defender with much CA or even PA would contend for first team action straight away. My top 2 prospects are a striker and a goalkeeper, of whom I’ve had a lot of regens. The player with the most CA is a right back, so I could move my existing right back over to central defence for the rest of his career at the start of next season. My 3rd choice central defender is a now 37 year old legacy player. Michael Morgan 9a – A striker with not much CA, so he has some developing to do before getting any first team chances. Dominic Clarke 9b – Instantly becomes my 8th best goalkeeping option (and the 9th is a kid in this intake I’m not going to offer a contract to). Like the other 6 regens between him and starting, he may eventually become the guy, but I had a goalkeeper in my first intake Jack Solly 1e, and he’s almost certain to take over when my legacy starter (who’s still only 32) eventually croaks.

Armeniar
Didn't really establish a connection with Taranto FC, so I'm in for a new challenge. Transfers France doesn't seem to be a popular destination here, wonder why. I did however chose a French side: CS Sedan, a former Ligue 1 club that even won the Coupe de France in 1956 & 1961. It actually makes me quite nostalgic as one of my very first FIFA careers ever was with Les Sangliers, back when they were a Ligue 2 side. One transfer before my arrival, a very bad right back. Although we only have one at our club, I decided to terminate his contract immediately. We have a well-equipped squad to begin with, even a full U19 side. One of the perks of having the 4th tier as viewable in FM, I guess: Spoiler Spoiler Welcome Italo-Algerian manager Bova: Spoiler Hope we can establish something here, looking forward to our first season!

vikeologist
Vikeologist's 5th Folkestone Intake Review Looking back over my notes, I thought at the time it was the best intake up to that point. Steve Marshall 5a – A central midfielder who’s racked up plenty of appearances from the bench, but even though he still has potential, he still has a lot of players ahead of him. According to my spreadsheet, not in my top 10 central midfielders. Basically for all his potential, he’s not improving, and he’s almost certainly not going to make it. I’m just keeping him around for no reason. Robert Davies 5b – My back up left back. My starter isn’t all that good, but he’s better than Davies. I give Davies the occasional start, but my best chance of winning is with the legacy guy. Davies is another one who just hasn’t improved. Rowan O'Hara 5c – He’s no better than Marshall or Davies. He is however a central defender, and thus has been my starter since the start of this season. By far the worst player in my first choice XI, and has actually gone downhill this season despite the first team experience. As I said above, the wise move would probably be to drop him to the sub’s bench and move my right back into the centre, but probably not till next season. Jordan Buxton 5d – My starter on the right wing. At first that was because of having no other good options, but he has developed a bit and beat off his competition. Could still get a lot better. Josh Waters 5e – One of the hoard of promising goalkeepers who never plays. Well, he’s supposedly my GK3, so he does play a bit for the U18s, but according to my spreadsheet, he’s not up to much. I would love to be able to get a team to take him on loan, or offer me anything at all for him. Micheal Babangida 5g – Another central defender. Quite possibly better than O’Hara, but by all accounts with less potential. I gave him plenty of stats, and he wasn’t any worse than O’Hara. Here’s their comparison. 2 very small circles. There’s a 7th regen still with us, Pete Oxlade-Chamberlain. God knows why I offered him a contract. I can’t afford to cut him loose yet. Oh wait, I do know why. He’s on a non-contract and has a good personality useful for mentoring. So 7 players still with us, (for the moment), which is a lot, but frankly only 1 good player, which given that 2 of them are starters is unfortunate.
Bartrcm
Nooit Gedacht - Season 2023-2024 - 7th Division Predicted: 6th Final position: 1th and Champions Our first season in the 7th Tier, and from the start of the season we were in the top-3. During the first 20 games it was a battle between 3 teams, but from that game on Deurne were losing some points, and were out of the title race. With 2 games to go, we were second, only 1 game behind the leaders SO Soest. The second last game was against them, so everything was still in our hands, but needed a win to have the advantage during the last game. Nothing happend during the first half. Half way the second half Soest took the lead, and at that moment they were champions. In the 72th minute we finally scored 1-1. After that we had a lot of chances, but couldn't score the winning goal, until the last minute of the game. We had a last chance and scored the winning goal. Unbelievable!!! We took the 1th place and had 2 points and a much better goal difference. We only needed a draw to be champions, but of course I wanted to win. The last game was very nervous but we won the game 2-1 and were champions again. Games 1 Games 2 Cup: Still no cup games Youth intake: The preview was good and again they promised a ST. And the actual intake didn't disappoint. Our best prospect was a much needed ST. Paul Dietvorst (YP3a): ST, already our best player. Straight into the first 11, and scored in every game at least once. Hamza Can (YP3b): DL/DC Henk Leferink (YP3c): GK, will be first choise next season. Transfers: None Finances: In red

One of the perks of having the 4th tier as viewable in FM, I guess: Reveal hidden contents Reveal hidden contents Welcome Italo-Algerian manager Bova: Reveal hidden contents Hope we can establish something here, looking forward to our first season! Popular Post XaW
AFC Rushden & Diamonds Season 2034/35 review Table | Squad | Transfers | Finances Well finally, the Premier League, the echelon of English football, and here we are. AFC Rushden & Diamonds in the Premier League, quite tasty that. And we even survived! Much to my surprise, we didn't struggle half as much as I had expected, and we even finished ahead of Tottenham! Granted, Tottenham had a horrid season, but we ended ahead of them at any rate. We did get thumped quite a lot by the best teams though. Manchester City alone put 13 goals against us in the two league games, so we clearly have a gap to the top. I'm more than happy though, staying in the PL is more than enough for the time being. Financially, we are pretty much secured. We are improving the facilities and our new stadium should be done after the next season. Things are looking good. We also have our youth category increased to 2! The preview was promising, and the intake itself was quite good. Canadian Lewis McNeilly 35a looks like a really good talent in defence. In the FA Cup we beat Sheffield Wednesday and Peterborough before losing to Nottingham Forest in the 5th round. In the EFL Cup we beat Swansea and Fulham before losing to Leeds United in the 4th round.
DazRTaylor
This season has so far been a nightmare. I have lost five of the last six games and received the call for a dreaded meeting. I promised better results within a month and promptly won away to the league leaders. I would be gutted if I am sacked.

DazRTaylor
End of Season Review Season 2026/27 SV Babberich League Table - We regressed significantly after last season and we were nowhere near a promotion challenge. League Fixtures 1 & 2 - We won our first three games and hopes were high. We then fell off a cliff and I was close to being sacked, before we recovered our form and finished in the top half of the table. We actually won eight of our last ten league games. Pre Season Friendlies - We started off poorly, but got better as pre season went on. Mid Season Friendlies - Three games, one win, one draw and a loss. Squad - Maybe my players are not as good as I thought. Some serious under performers here. Squad Dynamics - Good enough, though apparently not good enough as we were very poor this season. Transfers In - None. Transfers Out - None. Youth Candidates - An awful intake this year with Peter van Dijk YP27F86 being the only player of note. Finances - Our bank balance continues to go from bad to worse. Key Players Olivier van Brakel YP23B18 - Not as good a season from our goalkeeper, which contributed to a poor season for the club. Kyren Arends YP24I41 - More heroics from our goal machine. Tom Zandvliet YP23A17 - Proved to be our best defender this season. Giovanni Welles YP24J42 - The central midfielder established himself as a first team player this season and proved to be invaluable. Ayoub Jamal YP24L44 - Left winger who really came into his own at times this season. Next Season All I want is some sort of consistency. holidaysong
FC United of Manchester ; season 2029/30 League Table ; 5th place was a 1 place improvement on last year, but more importantly I came through the playoffs to win promotion to the Football League. I am very glad to be waving goodbye to the Conference after 8 years at that level. Squad ; All my best players signed up long term and looking forward to the challenge of League Two. Starting 11 ; Francis stood out with 27 goals after missing most of the previous season through injury. Transfers ; The Graham transfer was covered in my last update, so nothing of note aside from that. Youth Candidates ; I changed my HOYD which was maybe a bit of a gamble. Seems to be a decent intake with the ones highlighted are the ones I have kept. Next season expectations ; Unsurprisingly it's fight bravely against relegation for the first year in League Two.
