I'd like to make the jump to a regular Promotion Group spot in the next few seasons but I've learned not to hope for too much. Squad At the back, Halme is slowly turning into our rock. He rarely plays a bad game and is improving consistently. Kuittinen keeps getting better. He came completely out of left field, I actually thought he wouldn't improve anymore when he was 18 and at reserve team level. Miftari turned out to be great. It didn't take long before he was too good for the U20s. I retrained him as a AML and while he had zero experience in the position, he mastered it within 3 months. He could well be the big one. Transfers Youth intake I don't like the personalities this time. I do like most of the players attributewise. Rinne could well be a great player. He's going straight into the first team, mainly to be in a mentor group to improve his personality. Kallio, Mäki and especially Paukku feel like they could be first team players as well. To my annoyance, I've been getting this message whenever I ask for an increase in youth recruitment: WHAT DO YOU MEAN, ENOUGH YOUTH? There is no such thing. Popular Post fries Posted January 20 Popular Post Share Posted January 20 Premier League 2035/36 (season 12) Season Summary A new season. Same position as last year, but we got 4 more points. We also had a great Carabao Cup run where we were knocked out in the semi-finals by Tottenham. I continued playing with my 3-4-3 tactic, but with 8 games to go, I changed to a 4-2-3-1 formation. Primary because one of my former stars, Santangelo, suddenly became a party king and missed double-digit number of matches and training. He also had a drop in attributes. The new tactic is less dependent on him. Kadeem Jamerson was again my top scorer and best performer. Kane Burton also did well with 16 goals. My goalkeeper Smith played well again too. Strangely, he keeps performing well according to average rating, while we have the worst defense in the league. I hope the new formation will help out our defensive problems. I "only" had one player on the NXGN list, O'Halloran (41st) again. I hoped a player like Sinclair would make it on the list too. The youth intake preview was great. 5 stars and two A's and two B's. The actual intake was good. 3 elite talents, but the personalities are a bit disappointing. I had no transfers of significance this season, only a few loan-outs. Finances and Upgrades I managed to get an upgrade of my training facilities. They are now State of the Art. The board also promised to upgrade the youth level to level 1 after this season. I hope they will succeed. Next season Next season, I will try to survive once again. Can you do it just with vanilla databases? I think it's theoretically possible to do the Pentagon Youth on the vanilla. I'm still using FM20, so you'd need to check with someone using your version. On mine, Europe (many vanilla nations), Africa (SA - you've almost completed), Asia (China), South American (Brazil, Argentina) would be fine (other choices available as well, those are examples of the ones should work on mine). The only one that might not work is North America. Mexico works on FM20 (one team gets promoted to the second tier). But I've heard it might not work like that on future versions. Perhaps add the Mexican leagues now, and hopefully you'll see if it's working as you finish in South Africa. After being predicted for relegation (we weren't even close to the other teams in the prediction), we gained promotion on the last day of the season. After starting strongly, we had a slight dip near the end of the season which meant we dropped out of the promotions spots. But after recovering we were 3rd (Promotion play-off spots) with 1 game to play. With the other team drawing their game, we were able to sneak past them and gain an automatic promotion place. Season Details Transfers In - None Transfers Out- No sales Youth Candidates- The youth candidates were quite disappointing this year except for 2 players, with Ousmane Tine being the best of the lot. The other good player was Andreas Kruger a tall striker from Liechtenstein Key Players Alexis Mane - Surprisingly my player of the season, he contributed massively from defensive midfield with 7 goals and 7 assists this season. Mohamed Guilavogui - After my best striker last season didn't start well, Guilavgui decided to step up after a poor season last year. leyrtj Posted January 20 Share Posted January 20 Luverdense - Brazil - 2030 - Season 4 - Campeonato Braileiro Serie B (Tier 2) - 7th After our promotion last season, this was a nice boring season in Serie B. We were hanging around the top 4 and automatic promotion for a while, but eventually we slipped back and finished high mid table. We look well set up for promotion in the next season or two. This is assuming we don't lose a load of players, but being in the higher league this season has made it easier to hang on to players. FC Porto are interested in 3 of our players. I'd sell one for a sell-on fee but they don't seem interested in that. That sell-on would probably allow us to max Junior Coaching and Youth Recruitment. We did, finally, get one upgrade there this season. Money-wise, we're doing much better, with a cup run and the Serie B TV money. Only 2 players remaining from the original squad. We desperately need a striker to come through a youth intake. Jean Carlo is looking like our best player. Not quite a wonderkid, but might possibly be if he joins Porto at aged 20. So far I haven't done much regarding the party king. I have changed my formation to be less dependent on him. It is not very funny when the planned starter doesn't show up to a match. He is of course fined with a two-week wages fine every time he misses training or matches. So far he has paid close to half of his wage this season back to the club as fines. I try to speak to him every time as well. I think I will give him another season and see if he will improve his behavior. He is of course fined with a two-week wages fine every time he misses training or matches. So far he has paid close to half of his wage this season back to the club as fines. I try to speak to him every time as well. I think I will give him another season and see if he will improve his behavior. But I don't know how to handle him. On one hand it’s of course terrible for you on the other it’s a nice element added to the story. I once had a player who had is coming out (that loves men) during his career which was great story. We're renting the stadium of fellow Liga 1 team Girona, which meant a lot of our games were moved, resulting in shorter weeks. Especially at the end every game felt like a struggle. Copa An amazing cup run where we made it all the way to the final! Unfortunately for us Celta da Vigo was just that little bit better. Shoutout to third tier team Castellon who kocked out both Barcelona and Real Madrid in back to back games! Ah, Cup magic Youth Intake An exciting preview made me dream of an amazing intake. In the end it was much more average than I expected. We'll circle back in 5 years! Spoiler Transfers One major transfer. Pep Figueras moved to Vigo for a record setting 22M, which matched his release clause Spoiler Here he is. After his move, he received the Wonderkid monniker! Spoiler NXGN Our first entry in the NXGN list. Robert Pujadas finished third, while old friend Pep Figueras finished 5th Robert Pujadas Spoiler Best XI No player with an average rating above 7. We're slowly improving as the old squad get replaced by the youth intake. We had improvements approved in Youth and Training Facilities and Junior Coaching so we should see the effects there. We managed to sell a player for 5m. We were trying to sell off one of our prospects to FC Porto with a sell-on but they wouldn't bite. Then there was a news article where apparantly one of the Serie A teams were going to buy our right back for 5m. I didn't believe it but I offered him out and Flamengo bid 5m. Lovely. His loss did weaken the team, but it's not too bad. One area which I like about Brazil is how quickly the players improve. We don't have amazing facilities but there's green arrows everywhere. We managed to get a lot of the prospects on long contracts so I think we just need to be patient. Green arrows everywhere. Another disappointing youth intake. Henrique comes straight into midfield, but not much else. We need a striker and a right winger and the first XI looks good. Really frustrating season in the league. We just couldn't get going and niggling injuries and the B Team AFCON (!) really didn't help. It also doesn't help I don't know my best team either. i love my narrow 433 but Tom Hardy is such a good AML i need to get him in. bah! the African Confederation Cup is like the Europa League, so although it's fun to win it's pretty meaningless really. Particularly as we'd won the Champions League proper only 2 years ago! Players Top Scorer: Siyabulela Nene 29A with 30 goals in 36 games Seems strange to say after such a good season but I'm not convinced he's the man to take us forward if I go 4-2-3-1 next season. He's good, but not the best, and my youth intakes have been so strong I have way more than 11 first team players Player of the Season: 39. Phakamani Molefe 25K with 7.71 from 36 games And he's the reason why Nene 29A may be dropped. He's so good that he has to play. He moved between the wing and up front and was brilliant in both. 20 goals and 17 assists with 7.71 rating. He's the key to our future success i think Young Player of the Season: Tom Hardy The reason for my existential crisis! But look how good he is, and he's in the England U21s at only 17. He has to play, right? Youth Poor preview, better intake! Not too shabby really but not sure there's many future stars in there Career So I think I will turn this save into a pentagon, or hexagon if I go Oceania (I quite fancy a New Zealand save), but at this rate I'll never leave South Africa! Potentially been used as a club before in this thread but hoping to get this seriously underway quickly and fly through the early seasons whilst picking up some achievements and potentially a couple promotions. First time ever posting one of my attempts in this forum and never actually completed the premise, furthest we had gone was with Follo FK in FM23 who we managed to get to the second tier of Norway after five seasons. Our biggest ever legend from that save Jíao Zhong takes over as manager of IFK Lidingo; with a very small squad and chance of success in the Swedish leagues, I'm looking forward to updating how we get on further into the save with more and more updates. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Looking forward to this one and getting into Swedish football as a whole! KibworthBull Posted January 21 Share Posted January 21 2026 Review - Season Three Transfers | Results 1 | Results 2 | Squad 1 | Squad 2 | Table 3 players naturally get into our Best XI from the 25 generation—only 1 from 24. We haven't lost anyone so this suggests we are stronger - Mohd Shahrul Aizad Zukufli (RM) and Mohd Faisal Mohd Rosli (FB) have both retired. Both were due to be backups. Striker Ahmad Fauzi Rozlan has moved on and Centre Half Nazrul Rahim didn't get a professional deal. Rozlan is probably the only one that we will miss - he didn't score many but was a decent sub-option Soh Jeremy 24A - hattrick on opening day, away at the side 1-91 to win the league. Freak Result? Time will tell Soh Jeremy 24A is attracting the Super League scouts, but he is tied down (contractually) for another 2 years. Which means we can turn down poor bids for our star. We were fantastic at taking leads, but once the opposition scored we struggled to contain it. Late goals are our weakness We had some brilliant wins 5 over Penang and SAINS, and then Bukit Tambun had only won 2 games before they were all but relegated - both against us though. In July, against WTS, was the first time we had gone behind, and came out on top, it was also the first time we had tried a tactical change. 4-2-4 - getting the wingers further up the pitch seemed to do something good. A horrible run towards the end of the season where we faced 1st, 2nd and the 3rd left us 3 points clear of relegation and the end of the save, before a HUGE game away at Malaysian University - directly below us in the table. Victory and defeat for Harini put us 6 points clear of them with 2 games to play. And with a slightly better goal difference. We were not safe yet, but victory in the next one secured it for another year. How can you win your first TWO games of the season 5-0 and still only stay up right at the end of the campaign!! Far too many defeats. We won more games but lost a lot more. We scored fewer goals but also conceded fewer goals. When we were good we were fantastic, when we were not good, it was a horror show. Right at the end of the campaign, the Youth Recruitment was increased to BASIC - our first-ever improvement. Star of the show and saviour was Nur Aliff Farhan Norasma but as he is an existing player, we wont say more than Thanks for the 24 goals. We wouldn't have stayed up without you. In terms of newgens, Soh Jeremy 24A got 10 which is great, but when you consider he had 5 after 2 games - it's less impressive. It's also 9 goals less than last year. Muhd Firdaus Mohd Nasir 25E was a regular on the right hand side of midfield, he did fine, especially as it was his first season with the club. Other regulars were Right Back Kamaruddin Norasikin 25C and Muhd Ridzuan Abdul Wahab 25F Intake Elite | Top Our best player is Tadley Kessell 26A - a village from Cornwall - but we cannot register him, because he is English, and the league dictates we cannot register any foreigners. He'll get dual nationality in 5 years. But there is no registration in this league, so we can and did indeed play him in the season's final game. Confused. I think as we never submit a registration list, we should be okay. I've also been a lot more selective in who I've signed. None that go immediately into the starting squad but there might be a squad player in the future in their. There kind of needs to be now. Our first Playoff finish, and we went out after a good performance against underachieving big club Inter Turku. This raises our hopes for a promotion not being too far away. Squad Uusitalo has finally been developing his Handling, which I nearly gave up on happening. He's still one of our weaker points, but at least he's pretty solid in his performances. Rautiainen burst into the squad this season. Although he's often unavailable due to international games, his development has been nothing but spectacular. Another solid season from Syrjä. His consistency in providing chances and goals is invaluable. Laitinen broke the 20 goal mark this year and is starting to lead the line more and more. Although he's close to his PA, our other options are way behind him. Transfers Not seen here as it was late last season: DR Sjöberg left, mainly because of Rautiainens development. Youth intake Another nice intake with another DR and another bad goalkeeper. Vanhala looks great. His personality is not great but the potential is there. I'm considering starting him right away. Kallio seems like a good option as well. Although our right side plays a lot more sober than the left, his technique could be an asset in our build-up. We only took 6 point from the next 14 matches. We were almost 11 points behind XG table. Luckily we had another turnaround with 7 wins from the next 9 matches. We finished the season 12th with 37 points. Spoiler Mid season we sold our star winger Jens Mölder 32A for a record fee 525K€. Spoiler Jonathan Sletsjøe 30A was our top performer with 7 goals and 9 assists. josip Kalinic 28F was our top goal scorer with 9 goals. Thomas Meunier was also in fine form with 5 goals and 7 assists. Ayberk Karagöz 27B left on free transfer after the season as he ran out of contract. Spoiler Spoiler Spoiler Youth intake was pretty good with Gabriel Johansson 35A, Jesús Larsson 35B and Rasmus Ohlander 35C as the most promising talents. We signed all but the two casual youngsters with low potential. (beat Chippa United on penalties) Well, it might look like it was close in the league but really Kaizer Chiefs are head and shoulders above everyone else. They went through the whole season unbeaten and just seem to be getting better. They were 10 points clear at the halfway stage. It's going to be tough to bring them down! The cup competitions were fun, especially as I used them to give squad players/youth a chance. We kept doing really well! And we can add the Supercup to the Champions League now as well! beating the CL winners Chippa United (also from SA) Players Top Scorer: Siyabulela Nene 29A (50 goals from 47 games) wow, what a response to me threatening to drop him at the end of last season. He got lucky, an injury to Molefe meant he got to start the season up front. He scored and never stopped! Player of the Season: Phakamani Molefe 25K (7.77 from 29 games) reduced to playing backup or right wing but again was just superb whenever he played. I have to find a way to fit him in next season! Young Player of the Season: Tom Hardy 34A (22 goals, 25 assists, 7.59 rating from 47 games) Absolute superstar! so what am I doing at the end of the season? selling him! he plays left wing, and a 16.5m bid from a Qatari club came in that would absolutely guarantee our financial future. And it means I can go back to a narrow 433, my favourite formation! But he's sooooo good..... Youth I got two youths in the top 50 wonderkids! So I sell one, and the other sulks because I rejected an offer from West Hm. ah well. However, I am stubborn so we are trying again, and the new one has gotten off to a good start. We've taken over SSU Politehnica Timişoara, in the Romanian Liga 2 Casa Pariurilor Division. We are currently in 4th place leading into the holiday season, and just had our Youth Intake Preview. We progressed to the 2nd round of the FA Cup for a 2nd year in a row, losing away to Wrexham 3-1. Already 4 players (Crichlow, White, Salisbury, and Quitongo) from our last intake are nailed-on regular starters, with another (along with 23/24 class player Flensborg) rotating in and getting plenty of playing time. I was hoping to push for the playoffs this year, and so far it's going quite well. I'm not sure if we're ready to take the step up, but we did beat Northampton (11th in the VNL) in the FAT Cup. We have another VNL opponent coming up in 4th round (Fylde, currently 16th), so another good showing could signal an ability to stay up if we do in fact get promoted. As for the preview, we could definitely use some support in the wide areas of defense. Definitely the top of the wish list. But all in all this promises to be another good one after the board has agreed to increase our coaching and recruitment again this year, as well as a facility upgrade last year. Let's begin with the league Spor Toto Süper Lig Once again a tale of two halves. We had a great start and because the top clubs all had down years we were in the picture for the top spot by december. We did draw alot which kept us from actually competing. in the second half we once again got found out and started lose more. On the last day we still had a shot for fifth place, which normally gives a EUCL spot. We needed to beat allready crowned champions, Trabzonspor. while Samsunspor needed to drop points. Samsunspor drew against Konyaspor but we were not able to beat Trabzonspor. It was close though. They only scored their winner in the 84th minute. It would have been nice to claim 5th but this year it would probaly not give a european spot. In the final of the cup was Fenerbahçe who had a absolute nightmare of a season but had regained form in the last part of the season. They were the favorites to win an claim the last european spot. In that final they faced... us! So we had an actual chance for european football. Let's see how we did. Ziraat T ürkiye Kupası We lost, is what we did Our road to the final was not easy. We faced 3 teams of the top five finishers in the league. needing penalties twice. our Semi final was easy on paper as we faced a 2nd tier team. We got the job done but it wasn't good. The final was tense afair. They scored in the 2nd minute. Two goals from Taskin gave us the lead but they quickly equalized. to extras we went. Nothing much happened for most of it. They finally broke through and scored in the 115th minute. We went all out attack and they countered to another goal. It was not to be. But a good season overall. We go again next year. As an aside. This is why i love long term saves. Some of you may recognize the name of their coach as one of my legacy players. Berat was my captain for one year and has moved up through the leagues with me. When he hang up his boots I made him assistant manager of the U19s. He got poached after a few years for a managers position in a third tier club. he worked his way up and has had several clubs in the top tier now. Including his last Samsunspor where he was a thorn in my side. When Fenerbahçe fired their coach they came to him and he has yet to lose a match with them. I always like to keep tracks of players carreers when they go and he has so far been the most succesfull. Squad Player of the season: Great explosive player. Contributed well all season. Topscorer: Aslan with 11. Didn't keep us his pace of last season but had a decent season overall. Youth layer of the season: Taskin claimed a spot late on in the season and performed well. He also scored both our goals in the cup final so I'm very happy with him. Aslans performance was good enough to land him on the NXGN list. He was our only player at nr. 31 Youth intake Not much talent this year. though the top talents look good. These are the ones we invest our hope in: Board One major transfer this year Hasan Balaban went to hertha who came in with a offer we couldn't refuse. We were desperately leaking money at the time. Our youts setup now costs a million a month. And the only way to pay for that was with transfers. I said was because during the season we got some good news. Our money problems have gone Unfortunately our new board also doesn't believe in youth and I still can't even ask to upgrade the youth facilities. In their new season vision meeting they also introduced two new board cultures. Sign high rep players and spend the transfer budget. I negotiated the latter out but i fear this board is going to be tricky to deal with in the future if all his Millions don't lead to immediate succes. Next Season I want european football this time. We should be able to keep the squad together now with our tycoon backing, Our rep is slowly getting to the where it should be and I hope that will limit the second half collopse somewhat. We'll see. Another year of training into the younger players would hopefully leave us in a decent position and a chance to push for the promotion playoffs. Unfortunately, our season never really got going at any point. We lacked consistency and lacked the class that many other teams in the division have. We finished the season in 12th place, which was comfortably above the relegation zone. It however is cause for concern as we appear to be trending in the wrong direction. Spoiler Youth Intake Yet again another poor intake with no one here having the ability or potential to challenge for first team opportunities now, or in the near future. djsterry Posted January 23 Share Posted January 23 First time attempting this for a couple of years, had a disaster in Scotland. Sacked after 5 seasons. Board asked me to play at least 2 youngsters regularly, I played 5 during the season and then got sacked for not meeting the target. Had a very promising looking youngster there so a bit gutted on that one. started again in Iceland, finances are very poor. Losing a few hundred k a year despite operating on a 5 k a week wage budget. No real progress with any players due to poor facilities and coaches and semi pro status will do a few more seasons to see if I can get anywhere with it. LNZ Cherkasy has 32 pts at Group Stage, and at the Promotion Stage has only 5 pts. Obolon got 23 pts at Group Stage and 19 pts at Relegation Stage. So I decided to terminate the contract and assigned a new HOYD. Volker Kersting joined the club! Very happy with his arrival. In the CL we had a good run qualifying for the knock out phase, we drew AC Milan. After a 3-3 draw at San Siro we destroyed them at home. Next round FC Barcelona... We just got defeated, overall i was happy with the progress in those big games In the domestic league we managed to retain the title!! CapLFC450 Posted January 23 Share Posted January 23 (edited) IFK LIDINGO - YOUTH ACADEMY CHALLENGE #1 (2024 SEASON REVIEW) Our first season of the youth academy challenge with IFK Lidingo is fully completed and it was a fairly interesting one with some good things to note and them some worse things on the side which may confuse or complicate things in the upcoming year, but let's get into the wrap-up regardless of the 2024 season and our first season in Swedish football with the club IFK Lidingo, the boys in blue. The League & Results Unfortunately no promotion in our first season at the club, however also no relegation - so we remain in the Division 2 Norra Svealand for another season after finishing in a respectable but not brilliant 7th place with a total of 37 points after 26 games, a short season in all fairness which leaves little room for error, as shown by the top 5 teams being separated by just five measly points. I am pleased with this as the squad is not brilliant and we had no youth players which could have been used to develop and improve the squad as the season went on, but a positive goal difference and our dignity kept intact after season 1. Some good results in and around there but overall our season is defined by inconsistency and inability to grind through and win a lot of games on the bounce, but that is somewhat so be expected from a newly promoted side, even if we were promoted as a fairly decent one in a pretty poor-mediocre league. I am happy and I thought we played well in a lot of these fixtures, usually dominating and losing a game due to misfortune or poor finishing which I will attempt to iron out the latter in the second season with more training regimes to work on it and adjusting the tactic to get the best out of our forwards best roles. Not a bad season at all! The Youth Stuff Our youth intake preview came through in the middle of June and I was pretty happy with what it was promising, a five star "excellent" intake and a good batch of players including particularly good players at fullback and in central-midfield which had me excited as we could be potentially plugging the gaps in our side and ironing it out as we start to piece together a system to fit the players that are coming through at the club. ----------------------------------------------- The unique fact of the matter was that nearly all of the players that came through (all completely Swedish too) had five star potential, so despite rejigging my player reports to a more accurate staff member, they remained pretty much the same; so I will take it with an extremely massive pinch of salt but I will look to include plenty of the players in the upcoming season and attempt to get the best out of a good few of them to develop them into players that are good for the division or at least good enough to play at the club at a high enough level and perform fairly consistently. A couple of players that I am pretty excited about (I know they all look rubbish or have at least a couple fatal flaws in their game), are Johan Skoog who looks like a fairly rounded central-midfielder who will play decently for us in midfield next season. Also Albin Larsson who can slot in at full-back or as a more defensive or creative winger option too. Arne Edstrom who looks like one of the best technical players to come out of the intake and can play in a creative midfield role, but is very poor physically and Frederik Frik who will be one of two goalkeepers at the club and I will try as the starting goalkeeper as I look to develop his personal game further. The Final Squad Statistics Overall we had a pretty good year goalscoring wise despite our clinical-ness also being our achilles heel in certain matches at times. Victor Söderström was brilliant netting 17 goals in 26 games but unfortunately will retire at the end of the season, forcing us to move towards the 4-3-3 system and cater to Teo Brenner Toris (who also had a pretty good year with 15 G/A) as a single striker working to get him some more goals next season. Linus Månsson will also be retiring at the end of the season at the ripe old age of 27. We definitely could have kept him for a good few years and hopefully this season is the one and only season that shows premature retirements. The Miscellaneous Stuff The finances look very stable with almost no incline or at least a steady one that leaves us somewhat on a loss at the end of the season but with a good amount of sponsorship money to hopefully come through and support us. Tactically we will look to swap to a 4-3-3 shape and attempting to replicate a 3-2-5 shape in possession. In which I show probably our best possible starting side in my personal opinion before the upcoming season. A decent first season at the club, but loads of room to improve! Not the best post in the forum but I am just attempting to show my progress so far and thought it was better than a waffly and in-depth forum post about it. All Groups Promotion Stage Relegation Stage It doesnt make any sense, and its very annoying. Looks like the Top half teams qualify for the promotion group and the bottom half don't, and once in the relegation group you stay there even if you have more points than teams in the Promotion group.
