This is a difficult one to review. A lot of this could be down to tactical set-up or even personnel choices. It it was a regular thing to see around 30 penalties a season given away we would expect to see a lot of reports on this. Getting Stuck In isn't inherently a guarantee your players will get more bookings/red cards. There is certainly the risk but upping the aggression and willingness to challenge of better defenders can yield better results. If they give away fouls it may be earlier in the cycle of play and in less dangerous/compromised positions. It'll be something for QA to check, but I think having the instances through pkm's of players actually getting the bookings might be more beneficial. Being able to analyse the situation in matches that results in the yellow cards and are players letting optimal chances to tackle pass them by and then committing in a more panicked manner later on for example. You've provided a link @IgnorantLobster but can you also mention the save game file name?

To look into the logic being deployed by the players in these situations we would need the pkm's as Hunter has mentioned. Looking at the different usernames on the reddit posts I suspect they're not from your own game. If you can encourage those posters from reddit to share them in this thread it would always be beneficial.

That ground would be best raised in the Chinese data issues thread. I don't know enough about the stadium myself but currently it only non-seating capacity provided.
