  1. 2024/25 Midseason Review: Overperforming start with an underperforming finish to the half. The whole league is tightly packed and first place has been traded quite a bit. Hopefully we get things back in gear and make a push back up the table. Don't think the team is ready to compete in the top division, but if the team can perform consistently we're good enough for a promotion. Intake Preview: Would have liked to seen a striker in there as our current striker will be gone at end of the year and no one really staking a claim to replace yet. Always happy to see lots of high potential though.
  2. I use that set up for highlights but the during highlights speed a notch slower. Edit: I also work from home and will frequently pop over and advance a day or two between things I'm working on. If it's match day I'll usually do a half and then get back to work. Though if I'm running a large batch of tests I may get 5-10 mins to play.
  3. 2023/24 Season Review: Very up and down season, though league position wise we held fairly stable. For whatever reason Dynamics never really took off and about 2/3rd through the season I had to basically make promises to squad and board to keep my job. Even now Club Atmosphere is now Excellent, but Leadership Support is just Average. I suspect this led to some of the inconsistencies in team performance. Clearing some deadwood and a player sale I wasn't keen on but got well of what was originally listed as his value and some clauses. He wanted to leave. The end of season prize money and sponsorship money (along with a few cash injections) are why the team is in the black. I'd really like to upgrade training facilities but that may be a few years off. Youth Intake: Really solid looking intake. A few players aren't super far off from being first team capable. 2024/25 Season Preview: Team is way too good to be a relegation candidate. My hopes is the dynamics get in place and we're competitive towards the top. A promotion would be too early and likely lead to getting smacked right back down. The team is also bloated with 18-21 year old players and I sent just about all who aren't first team regular or primary back up out on loan to hopefully get some quality development in. The first team is fairly young, with only one player definitely nearing retirement, so I can't have a bunch of 21+ players that aren't first team quality. Switzerland has tight registration rules. Max 21 players but players under 21 do not need to be registered. All non-EU players must be registered though. I'll have 3 players aging up next season, but 11 the following.
  4. 2023/24 Midseason Review: Having a hard time finding the right tactic to unlock this team's potential. Wildly inconsistent. I'm not worried about relegation at least. Intake Preview: Stacked looking. Our youth set up is really good so there should be some real talent in there.
  5. Ah cool thanks. I downloaded an Egypt one (https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2885974303). I may give that a try next assuming it's valid.
  6. Back to Switzerland, first time for 23 but had a few goes in 22, and with a club I tried and enjoyed but unfortunately stalled out. (Sorry for that poor sentence quality. It's late.) I didn't get the club vision capture, but it doesn't matter. Have to stay up or save is dead. I'm not too worried about it season one. Sticking with my sponsor, but if things go poorly I'll get a new one.
  7. A surprise promotion and then I don't get to finish the season. Seems a quick trigger fringer. yeah I knew it was coming when the team had a draw in a friendly to a team playing in whatever the "Combined Counties D1" division is. Taking a break from England. I'd like to try somewhere in Africa since I've never played there. I don't know enough about databases and what qualifies for the challenge. Depending on how the night goes I'll either look into that or go somewhere already in game. For now, off to RimWorld for some war crimes.
  8. 2024/25 Midseason Review: Not too surprising as just getting promoted was a bit of a shock. It's close enough at the bottom where it's not a forgone conclusion we go back down. The schedule calms down a bit, and hopefully we avoid some of the misfortunes we had schedule wise where we'd face a top team, a cup match, then a midtable, and then finally the shattered squad would lose to a bottom table team. The schedule definitely cost us a few points, but overall we're just fairly overmatched. An old squad getting older. I keep tinkering with tactics, possibly too much, with the hopes of finding something to stem the bleeding and get us on tract to finish at least 20th. Intake Preview: Another super strong preview. Based on the thin and aging squad the potentials here could be legit and not the fantastic preview with meh players. Odds are due to facilities the vast majority will come in a ways off from first team caliber with maybe one or two being capable to see action right away.
  9. is Colombia playable? Thought there wasn't promotion/relegation?
  10. 2023/24 Season Review: That was unexpected. First time in my attempts at England that I actually got a promotion. We were pretty good all year and I was pretty confident about making the playoffs but then went on to a 10 match undefeated streak to close out the year (including the playoffs) with 8 of the 10 as wins. The stadium upgrade is the downside to promotion as now we have to take on a loan and finances already weren't very good. No luck on any improvements. Coach course was approved but not completed yet. Youth Intake: A lot of potential, but without good facilities or coaching it will be hard to reach for a lot of players. Only D & E come in with enough current abilities to have yellow stars. They'll get some backup time next season, and anyone else would be in emergency situations. 2024/25 Season Preview: I don't really know what to expect here. We didn't match up with any National League teams during cup runs, so the only team we know is Dorking from winning the league. We went 0-1-1 against them last season. The hope is to not get relegated.
  11. 2023/24 Midtable Review: First season so I wasn't sure what to expect, but with a top half expectation from the board I figured this would be a solid team. Unfortunately I lost a few players to start that were on non contracts but Transfer listed. That meant I couldn't delist and sign them. None were great but we have just enough players to field 11 and have a bench of 5 without any gray players. Injuries and suspensions and then we're adding gray players to the lineup. The other issue is I have 3 players in the mid to late 30s that only play striker. Two are grumpy and leaving after this season. However, right now it's all working and we sit in playoffs within striking distance of the top spot in the league. It feels a little bit like fools gold, but I'm hoping for the promotion just in hopes that finances are slightly improved as they're not great right now. Intake Preview: Any depth will help.
  12. One more attempt in England since the last one ended super fast. The expectations are quite strong for a team with not much facilities wise and just enough players to field. Once again using the color scheme in the game for the kits but picking my own design instead of trying to find the real ones.
  13. Welp. We would win comfortably and then lose the next handful. The team was always grumpy and it just didn't work for me here. Back to the drawing board.
  14. Back to England. I really want a completion this year in England. Picked a North team since I wind up in VNS all the time. oh a Supporters rival, should be extra fun. don't start with a ton, but better than all poor and a youth level of 0. They have multiple sponsors it seems, and I wasn't feeling figuring out what to use, so I made my own.
  15. Owner sold another player for dirt cheap the team collapsed against winnable competition and I'm blaming their loser energy on the Phillis losing the last two games too First time I've had the owner ask not to resign though. I'll figure another save out later.
  16. The board approved all of these. If we wind up not getting promoted or more of the same I may bail on this one. Easily could have gotten better from them. I can't get mad for an overpay but these were not
  17. 2025/26 Midseason Update: Despite the board letting two players go for offers that were "too good" things are going well. I don't mind selling players but at least have it be for some real money. We've dropped a few attainable points but then always come back and win a few after that. The last couple seasons it would lead into a mini funk, so that's a good sign. As long as we don't get raided for transfers I think there's a real chance to get promotion. Intake Preview: I know these are kind of a meme at this point, but holy hell that looks promising.
  18. 2024/25 Season Review: No fancy Infographs from me. Maybe I'll dig in over the weekend though. As expected we made the top group, but unfortunately fell short of a playoff spot. Needing just one point against the top two teams our final matches and we came up empty. Those two were not planned. My best player, a Central Defender in his prime. 14 in Jumping, Bravery, and Heading. For this league that's good. He cleared a ton of crosses and knocked in a few corners. His loss was definitely felt. It's where we went from 2nd and 3rd presplit. Y23A was the top player from the intake prior to taking over. I like to tag those players as well. He was starting to stake a claim to a starting forward spot. First comes the transfer request for the CD, and I'm able to make a promise to sell for 120K. Someone comes in for 60K and the owner accepts. I protest and they reject, but then immediately this offer comes in and I'm not given the chance to protest. It's a good chunk of money so I deal with it. I was pissed that 3.3K was too good to turn down and I couldn't protest that. I really hope this doesn't become a problem. At least I got some more upgrades. Youth Intake: I went from just wanting some depth to really hoping for a Centerback. Fortunately it delivered. He's not a beast, yet, but some real potential there with a pretty good personality and being either footed. Dude needs to eat though. 2025/26 Season preview: I've had enough of the yellow sponsor and went back to one of my favorites to use. It just works on every kit. Not detailed above is that my top scorer up and retired. He scored 75 goals in my two seasons, so hopefully someone steps up to replace him. Only goal is to not get relegated, which I think it manageable. There's a fair amount of young talent from the last two intakes so if some of those guys take off then there's a good chance we'll be back pushing for promotion again. Otherwise I can see making the cut for the top group but not being close to the top 4 spots.
  19. 2024/25 Midseason Review: Started off with only 1 point in the first three, but made a tactic switch and since then only lost two matches. We wind up with a fair amount of 0-0 & 1-1 draws though. I still think we're good enough to finish in the top half when the group splits and again be pushing for a promotion spot even if we don't get promoted. Still no immediate needs, so any good players to add to the depth or challenge for starting spots is welcomed.
  20. are they getting good rating when they play? That's one of the biggest factors from what I read. If you're forcing young players to play and they're getting crushed it won't help them (other than a chance to warn/fine them to boost their determination).
