  1. 2023/24 Midseason Review: Weird team. Everyone is either old and grumpy (already leaving club when I took over), or young and not good enough. Dealt with a fair bit of injuries too. If everyone stays healthy enough I think we can survive and hope the intake gives us some capable players. Intake Preview: Speaking of the intake, it looks pretty promising. Will need to do some retraining I'm sure but it seems like there will be about 8 players with some potential. Now to survive that long.
  2. I've never managed in Spain before so I wanted to give it a try. Pretty good starting facilities, so there's something to work with here. The squad isn't super deep though. The goal is 13th or higher to not be relegated. I won't know what to expect until we get games in. I was trying to the logo used on their actual kits but then I saw this. I really hope I can make this save work because I love the color scheme
  3. I'm really fascinated by this. I didn't know TV money moved like that.
  4. The bottom fell out and there was nothing that I could do to fix it. I'll probably have something new in a couple days.
  5. 2027/28 Midseason Review: Basically sitting where we usually end up, lower midtable. We're near top of league in goals for but also for goals allowed. The keeper gives up a lot of terrible goals and despite the backup not really being ready I'm feeling forced to give him more playing time and see if he wins the starting job. XG table has us around 12th, so it 's pretty clear to me that just a few goals saved would make a difference. I'm not looking for playoffs just want to be safely out of a relegation battle. Intake Preview: One of the strongest previews we've had. Looking for at least one player, preferably a striker, that's ready for first team.
  6. Cleared most of the debt, but took a loan out for some of it. 96K in the bank, better than -300K
  7. 2026/27 Season Review: A slight improvement from the previous season, but I was still hoping for more. just a bunch of loans and more debt. The team is under takeover process, but that's been going on for a couple months so who knows what that leads to. The lack of investment in facilities is definitely leading to some stagnation. Youth Intake: I got my wish with a player that immediately steps in as a regular player. Overall a pretty strong intake. 2027/28 Season Preview: Well my guess is 16th place with 60 points. Staying consistent. I am working on transitioning out more fringe legacy players that have reached their potential already. I'll play a slightly worse player with higher potential, but not at the risk of the season. I'm hoping for a takeover that add some money to the budget so I can get some upgrades.
  8. I feel like this is more prevalent in this version of the game than previous.
  9. 2026/27 Midseason Review: The plan to be more aggressive offensively has helped, but the season is following a familiar pattern, so we'll see how things go. Knocked out of all the cups so let's see if things settle down schedule wise and the team plays better. I don't see a complete cratering in form and relegation, but I've been wrong there before. As with the last few intakes I am hoping for at least one player good enough to step right into the first team. I'd love a good striker.
  10. 2025/26 Season Review: I was hoping to be in that 8-12 range, so this was a disappointment. I kept trying to tweak the tactics to be more defensive and it just compounded the issues. I don't think the team is as bad as the record has been, but each season has gone in the wrong direction. No money, no upgrades. Youth Intake: A couple players to be mixed in, but no immediate game changer like I hoped. Still we're filling out the roster nicely, but without the great facilities development is slow. 2026/27 Season Preview: If attempting to be more defensive was a mistake I figure the answer is to go all out to score goals. Each year we finish worse off and the expectation seems to be relegation, so if we go down and kill off the save we do it going swinging.
  11. 2025/26 Midseason Review: Doing about what I was expecting. The top of the league teams beat us, the bottom we beat. Seem to split the teams in the middle. I played a few more matches after that screenshot was captured and I noticed some xG wonkiness so I decided to check out the xG table. That confirmed some suspicions. Primarily that my Keeper and defense just isn't talented enough. The goals for xG isn't too worrying something like -3 could just as easily be +3. I don't expect anything to dramatically improve on the defense but slight improvement along with the offense picking up a few more and we'll stay in the playoff hunt. If the scoring gets worse we wind up more midtable. Intake Preview: Same hope as last season, there is not immediate pressing need (despite what's outlined above) but I would love to have a player come in at any position ready to take first team minutes. My keeper is 4.5 yellow stars. The defense is all 2.5-4 yellow stars. I'm not forced to play people out of position or fundamentally not ready. Just not good enough.
  12. 2024/25 Season Review: I was hoping for upper-mid table but when things started spiraling at the midpoint I was just hoping to get out of it and stay above relegation. Fortunately we did that. The schedule, thin and aging squad, and injuries really made things tough. Some younger players got some playing time, but they're not up to first team standard yet. Unfortunately had a training downgrade due to technology thing very early in the save. No money to bump it back up hurts too. Youth Intake: Another very high potential intake with one player ready for some first team minutes. That will definitely help things out. It's not a particularly weak position for the squad, but he will definitely get minutes. 2025/26 Season Preview: The goal as always is to not get relegated. Last season I was hoping for upper midtable. I still think the potential is there.
  13. 2024/25 Midseason: started off doing really well and then hit a pretty steep slump. Keep trying a few things tactics wise. One formation overhaul and otherwise just some instructions. The goal is not to be relegated so I think I'm fine there, but I'm disappointed as I wanted to build off last season. Intake Preview: Another strong preview. Depth is still needed, but I'm really just hoping for one player at any position that comes in here ready to start.
  14. 2023/24 Season Review: A couple of slumps held us back a little bit, but the goal was midtable and that was achieved. I would have liked a deeper Cup run, but lost pretty badly to a lower league team as I was trying to find the right tactic for the squad. Nothing really to report here other than the club doesn't have much money. Youth Intake: There's a lot to like here for potential, but unfortunately only one player came in ready for some first team action. I'm just happy to get some depth filling in the empty youth teams. 2024/25 Season Preview: We weirdly went from midtable expectations to relegation battle. Not really sure what's causing that discrepancy, but my expectation is to be midtable again and hopefully a little higher up. Especially if you youth players development takes off.
  15. 2023/24 Midseason Review: A quick start and then a bit of a slump. I think we've corrected things though. Not a very deep squad so a couple injuries and the busy schedule make things tough. The keeper also gives up way too many soft goals. The goal is midtable and I think we'll meet that goal and maybe sneak a little higher if I have the tactics figured out. Intake Preview: Such a thin squad I expect a strong preview. We can basically use the help everywhere, so the real hope is that at least a couple players come in ready for first team minutes.
  16. 2024/25 Season Review: I went in with some optimism that we would figure out the scoring issues. Nope. Then we couldn't defend. Kept trying a few different things but nothing would click for the team. Off to the relegation group: We actually weren't terrible other than one match. However we basically needed to win out and we certainly didn't. What's funny here is after the relegation there was still 45ish days before I was actually fired. In fact they offered me a new contract. Pretty disappointing overall as I liked how fast the season went in Romania, and the team had good youth setup. Well it's back to the drawing board. Another England attempt next.
  17. 2023/24 Season Review: As expected we finished in the Relegation Group. As I had suggested at the mid season break I thought I had defense under control, and it proved to be true as we did not concede too many goals and had a few clean sheets. The relegation group splits into two groups at this point: This was disappointing as we won two of the first three matches, and going into the final match we were safe in 4th. However we lost to the team that leapfrogged us to 4th. Defense wasn't the problem, but goal scoring was. With the save on the line in a home/away playoff I made another minor tweak that would hopefully add scoring without sacrificing defense: Two matches isn't necessarily enough to say that was definitely it, but the scoring started coming in these last two matches. We had a 550K transfer accepted by the owner, and while I didn't want to lose him I couldn't really blame him. I was able to get some upgrades from it. The training facility is the big update. The three Youth related ones are already in a good state and I got some upgrades. With all the high potential players coming in we need some training facilities to meet that potential. Youth Intake: The early intake always good, but this was outstanding. No out and out blow away players, but a few got some first team minutes and contributed. 2024/25 Season Preview: The white kits were almost never used last season. The Green kits were seemingly used as primary away kits. Weird. I expect to build off last season. I think defensively we're much more sound than we started off last season. Based on that alone I think we'll be a little higher up the table come the split (moving from 14th to maybe around 10th). If I did figure out getting more goals without slashing defense then maybe we move to a bubble team for the champions group come the split.
  18. Started off scoring a lot, but also giving up a lot of goals. Did some tactics tweaking and it kinda backfired a bit, but I was able to find the right changes. After switching we went on a draw streak of 1-1 matches. We're not scoring much, but holding better teams to one goal. I like how it sets up the rest of the season. This is promising, even if all aren't world beaters day one. Our team is overall not very strong. We have a lot of players but either a ways off development wise, old, or looking to leave. Will need some restocking.
  19. Thanks. I had my eye on it before but with the third league being unplayable I thought it was ineligible until I saw people saying to take a team promoted from there.
  20. First try in Romania and took a little bit to get this team I identified as wanting to play. Training facilities are low, but the youth facilities come in strong which was the appeal. Well not much is expected, which I actually expected since it took a while to get these guys promoted. I went with Craft, which I think I've never used before. I can't remember, but in my head I haven't so new country new kits. I did however go back to Rubbermaid, it's just a good sponsor on all kits I've found.
