  1. @The7StrikerGood guess, but I went with Israel. After having a good run there in FM22 but never making it out of Champions League Group Stage I wanted to take another run at it. Unfortunately the team I had used was relegated even further down so I'm going with a different team this time. I stuck with Flower Power because it's very contrasting no matter the kit colors its seems thus far. Inherited a pretty solid squad here. Strengths on defense and forwards, and the team is overall fairly young so there won't be a rush to get youth players in the first team. I think the team will be good enough to push towards top of table.
  2. 2024/25 Season Review: A weird season where at times we were actually midtable, but then faltered down the stretch. As stated before the players are either too old and regressing or too young and facilities aren't helping development enough. There are a few good players in prime though. Not included in this info are three players that retired and two I released as they were older and not good enough. I'd rather give younger players playing time. At the end of the season there was a takeover, but the finances boost came from a loan so we'll be back to underwater fast. Youth Intake: A good crop of talent, but none ready to play now and develop will be slow at the club. 2025/26 Season Preview: Looks like a struggle season again. I don't see an immediate path forward, and the recent movement here on completing in new countries has peaked my interest in something else. I'm pausing this save and will come back to it later. I'll post later with the new one
  3. 2024/25 Midseason Review: Multiple things happening here: 1 - the old team aged in dog years over the offseason. 2 - Three long-term injuries for key players. 3 - The youth players are no where near ready yet. Staying up looks like it's going to be a real battle. Intake Preview: Really strong preview. Hopefully at least one player comes in ready to play.
  4. 2023/24 Season Review: A disappointing collapse. With about 5 matches to go we were only six points behind Havant for first, and then to lose four out of five and miss the playoffs hurt. We still met/beat expectations so no real concerns there. A really bad loss in the FA Cup during the initial free fall of form. No transfers and no upgrades. At least got one coaching badge. Finances are going to be a worry. Youth Intake: With the poor facilities I wasn't expecting anyone to come in ready to play. The senior squad is old, but has some talent for this level. A lot of depth options and players will see time as the senior squad is also very thin. 2024/25 Season Preview: I didn't like the sponsor logo the team uses, it wasn't strong enough (and I'm not good enough with graphics to make it more visible). I decided to take one of my favorite beers as it has a good logo and make that the team sponsor now. The neat kit design here also took a few contrasting colors so I took from the Flower Power logo as well. Poor facilities and aging players have led to a bit of a decline in some players, but I'm not sure it's that dramatic to go from top half projection last season to relegation favorites.
  5. 2023/24 Midseason Review: Finally got a save rolling. Started off pretty well, but then just started sliding. Some PTSD kicked in as I was getting threatening inbox items, but things stated to stabilize and are now starting to rebound in form. Very thin squad so any major injuries could throw a wrench into things, but I expect to meet expectations with a top half finish. Intake Preview: Biggest areas of need are Centerback and Keeper, so it's good to see highly rated prospects.
  6. Thanks. I've already won more with Hornchurch than the last two teams lol. Hopefully this is the run.
  7. ok, sorry for the weekend spam, but we go again and at Hornchurch again. Last time I played with them a few months ago we got promoted and got stomped in National League and I was fired. Expectations are high based on media and club. I don't remember the tactics I used as I've tried a bunch the last couple weeks, so hopefully I figure it out again.
  8. Another one down. Didn't take the screenshot but one win in the first 20 will do that to you. I'm going to try Hornchurch again, the only team in England I had success with (got promoted to National League, which was a mistake as we got rocked and I got fired. Right now I just need to see if I can win here.
  9. We ride again. Somewhat decent starting facilities and not a completely barren squad. I wanted a team I hadn't seen used and these guys looked interesting. My biggest concern is just one keeper on the squad, so hopefully I avoid long term injuries. Low expectations. We'll see what comes. I took the color scheme from the DB Editor, grabbed their actual kit sponsor, and made some decent looking kits I think (compared the last few attempts I've done)
  10. After, no lie, close to 10 of these emergency board meetings I couldn't talk my way out of this one. Went on a 5 match unbeaten run, with three win in there, but the last two losses were not great to fellow bottom table teams. I was close to figuring things out, but could not overcome possibly the worst keeper and defense combo I've ever dealt with. Still got England on my mind so I'll reload a bunch and pick a new team either later tonight or tomorrow.
  11. 2023/24 Midseason Review: I've actually played five more matches after capturing that screenshot because I was so certain I would be fired. Amazingly the board kept accepting my excuses and I finally snapped the 12 match losing streak, and actually won two in a row. How did we get here? There are actually a handful of decent players, but I both haven't figured out how to unlock them tactically and they constantly don't seem to play well together. I have a couple players that are good at the wing, a couple good in the midfield, and a couple good on the attack. I'll say six of the starting eleven aren't terrible for this level, but I constantly get bad partnership warnings on the tactics. They all seem to do their own thing which doesn't lead to many goals, and opens up the other team to our terrible center backs and even worse keeper. We're -3 for XG, which wouldn't make a huge difference. We're +13 on XGA which absolutely makes a huge difference. Survival is going to take a major turn of events. I'm just as likely to get fired before the team even gets relegated than I am to survive. Winning last two games gives a sliver of hope though. We'll see, I really want to make it because... Intake Preview: Help is on the way.
  12. Back to England! Fairly decent starting facilities. The squad is a bit thin, but the players there are fairly solid. Expectations point to staying up and I think that's doable. Still experimenting with the kit creator. These are certainly unique.
  13. I didn't like the team. It just wasn't clicking for me. I'm not giving up on Austria forever, but I'm really wanting to make progress in England.
  14. Will the third time in Austria be the charm? Two short runs in FM22, so let's see how FM23 is getting along. Things started off well and have just been spiraling the last month or so. The team isn't necessarily lacking for player, but it is lacking for good players. A ton of injuries too are not helping matters at all. Other than one match where we got hammered we've been in all the losses until the end. I'm optimistic things will settle down to at least survive the season. The areas we are thinnest at, so that's a promising looking intake.
  15. After taking a little journeyman break I'm back and in Austria! The other country I had unfinished business with from FM22 (Switzerland and England as well). From what I was seeing the facilities are pretty even for teams making the jump in Austria, so I picked a team that isn't immediately broke and seems to have decent depth. As always the goal is survival. Decided to give FM Kit Creator a try over kitbasher. Will take some getting used, but it seems like there's a tony of really cool stuff that can be done. The logo is slightly different but it is the teams primary kit sponsor and kit brand too.
  16. It'll depend on the one being used. Post what you want to use and one of the thread moderators can give the review and thumbs up/down. I do think it has to be a realistic one though, not a fantasy one (like the Zealand US)
  17. Weren't in relegation zone but not by much. Feels like a quick trigger, but that seems to happen more often in FM23 to me.
  18. 2023/24 Midseason Review: Weird team. Everyone is either old and grumpy (already leaving club when I took over), or young and not good enough. Dealt with a fair bit of injuries too. If everyone stays healthy enough I think we can survive and hope the intake gives us some capable players. Intake Preview: Speaking of the intake, it looks pretty promising. Will need to do some retraining I'm sure but it seems like there will be about 8 players with some potential. Now to survive that long.
